RH7 Project Name change

I am currently using RH7, my project is under version
control. I need to rename a project, however the documentation
states that "You cannot rename projects under version control."
Does anyone know of a workaround?

This statement may apply only to RoboSource Control. I use
Subversion, and if I were to rename a project, Subversion just sees
all the renamed files as new files that are not under version
control.
At that point, I just have to pull the old files back down
from the repository (because they're not there in Windows Explorer
anymore) and set them to be deleted. Then I add all the renamed
files. When I commit the whole bunch, the old ones are deleted from
the repository and the renamed ones are committed.
I can't give any assurances for other version control
software.

The question I have is that if the change to the layout is to add the Project Name for information purposes for timecard users/approvers etc, should the DFF be changed? Or does it only need changing if there is a need to save the project name in the timestore (or another reason)?
The Metalink note mentioned doesn't say anything about making a corresponding change to the DFF.

go to administration option in the menu. You can then see all the projects.

Impact of changing a Project Name on PWA 2013

I know that if I change the project name of a current project on the Name field on the PDP it will update the Project Plan name. I also know that I need to change the project site name and I know what the workaround is to ensure that the project plan still
associates with the project site.

Changing a project name will be fine as the system works off the GUIDs. Test this process on a test project before so that you are satisfied this works for you.

File Name Associations Drop Out When Changing Project Name

Posting on behalf of a colleague. He's using Robohelp X5 on a
Windows XP computer.
"We have frequent occasions in which we must take an existing
online help project (ABC_001, for example), make some
tweaks/additions/omissions, and release a revised online help
project (ABC_002). We have been cloning the existing help project
(ABC_001), renaming the project, making the necessary changes to
the help project, adding or deleting map IDs in .hh files as
necessary, importing revised .hh files as necessary, and then
releasing the project under the new name. We want to maintain map
ID numbers and assignments (25ANG1, Map #: 640, File name:
Synchronism Check#25ANG1) from ABC_001 to ABC_002, but the File
name associations drop out when we change the project name. It is
then a laborious process to go through the list and reassign all
the topics to the appropriate File names. Is there any way to
maintain topic labels with their map ID numbers and their File name
associations from one project to another?"

"I discovered that it requires just one more step in the help
project before I can actually see the file name
associations/aliases again. I have to recompile, as Colum
recommended, but then I have to close down RoboHelp and reopen the
project. Then, if I am in Project View and navigate to
Context-Sensitive Help/Map Files/All Map IDs, I can see all of the

Duplicating a project and changing names is not straight forward particualarly when the design contains an board design with custom IP.

RH8 importing RH7 project

When trying to open a RH7 project in RH8 I get the following
errors:
Error in reading RHFrameStyleMappings.apj file
Open Project was cancelled or the application was unable to
load database for: PatMob.cpd
Any ideas ?

Try renaming the CPD before opening the project.
If that fails, try renaming the CSS and copying the same name CSS from another project, then open the project.

How to add folder/project name to a File Naming preset

Here's a tip to automatically add the name of the Project or its parent Folder to the filename during Import or Batch Change.
I always used a custom field for adding my client's name to the filename upon Import or Batch Changing versions or masters. But often I would forget to change the custom name, and since it's auto-populated with the previous entry, I'd end up with a bunch of files with the wrong client's name on them. That looks kind of bad. So once I saw with Aperture 3 you can add the Project name or Folder name when relocating referenced files to the new folder structure, I was excited to be able to do the same for the filenames at import. Well, no such luck. They're not an option when you create a custom File Naming preset.
However, I recently decided to poke around inside some plist files, and found a workaround. I discovered the format string for Folder Name is %F and Project Name is %P. The trick is getting the code into the Format Field where you create the preset.
Create a new File Naming preset by choosing "edit" from the Version Name menu during Import or Batch Change. Drag everything you want in the name into the Format field, and enter %F or %P where you want the Folder or Project name. The tricky part is that you can't insert it between two existing criteria. It only works at the very end. After you have it in place, you can drag the criteria around to get it in the order you want.
The alternative method is to insert the code directly into the plist. PLEASE, always make sure you're working with a copy and have a good backup when you're poking around in such things. If you have trouble getting the code to take from within Aperture, you can try this. Same as above, create a new preset, but this time, enter an F or P where you want the Folder or Project name. Give it a unique preset name and save it. Then Quit Aperture. Navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/FileNamingPresets.plist, and make a copy of the file, then open with Property List Editor. Dropdown the plist and then dropdown the item you want to edit. You should recognize it by the preset name. Now the easy part. Click in the FormatString field and insert the % character before the F or P you entered in the Format field. Save and you're done.
I discovered later that while the Folder and Project name works just fine during import, for some reason only the Project name works during Batch Change. The Folder name simply creates a "-" in the filename.
In case this is seen as a hack and gets deleted, I'm also submitting it to http://www.macosxhints.com/ and I suspect if anyone from MacCreate sees it, they'll steal it too, as they're known to do.

I do not think there is an out of the box way to do this.
The immediate solution that comes to mind is using a workflow, that runs everytime a document is uploaded/item created, which may be too much for your scenario.

Project Center - How to Update / Correct the URL/Link stored in the Project Name field.

In the Project Center list, the link in the "Project Name" field for some projects take you the the project details page and some display the project schedule. How can I update/correct the links to display the project schedule?

Reason for this behavior is your enterprise project template which your project manager used for creating project.
We create Enterprise project template, associate PDP , Schedule, workflow according to our need then we use these Enterprise project template for project creation.
In your case some of the project manager must have used basic template( default template) for some project, Custom Enterprise template for some project and f you are using workflow then workflow template for some project, that is why you are able to see
PDP page first for some project and Schedule page for some project.
In order to change it you can change default PDP as schedule for Enterprise project template then open project save and publish them.

Photoshop Elements 3.0 Back-Up - File Name Change

I currently run Photoshop Elements 3.0. When I back-up the catalog from within Photoshop, the file names are changed (i.e 100_2424.JPG to BO00012). All of my Premiere Elements 7 projects point to the original file name. If I ever lost that original JPG file, the back-up file would be recovered, but would not be recognized by Premeiere Elements, and thus not be found. Why does the file name change after back-up? How can I retain the original file name during back-up? Thanks.

Once you have taken the backup, all the files are renamed as you mentioned in the post. Its only when you restore the catalog through File->Restore, the files are restored by the original name.

But no data is displayed.
I have also tried with the QUALIFIER_ATTRIBUTE27 = "Attribute8" as the attribute8 is being defined in the PROJECTS context of the "OTL Information Types" DFF.
