Right-click on office make close my program.
Hi,
The problem is that when i'm doing a right-click on my page or an element that I want to work on, the program stop running and I need to close it. Is there a solutions to repair this ? Principally on the office programs.
Another things is that something a alert pops-up on my screen and it said: Developer Tools Access try to take the control of another program.. an it asks my to enter my password. It begins this week and I don't know if this havec a link with my other problem.

Please try following probable solutions if you are on Windows..
Launch Task Manager. In the Processes tab see if any of the following file is running:
PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe
ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe
Dynamiclinkmanager.exe
If any of these are running kill those. Now go to C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Elements 11 Organizer. Find PhotoshopElementsOrganizer file in this folder.
Double click on it. See if it launches Organizer. If it does then create a direct shortcut of this file on Desktop. To create a shortcut, right click on this file and select “Create Shortcut”. If it creates the shortcut in this folder only, then copy paste the shortcut on Desktop.
Right click on it (PhotoshopElementsOrganizer) and select “Run as Administrator”. If it does launches the Organizer then create a direct shortcut of this file on Desktop. To create a shortcut, right click on this file and select “Create Shortcut”. If it creates the shortcut in this folder only, then copy paste the shortcut on Desktop. You may need to always choose Run as Administrator from this newly shortcut.
Press Shift key. And double click on this file (PhotoshopElementsOrganizer). This will launch the Catalog Manager dialog. Create the new catalog and see if it launches the Organizer.
If you are on Mac..
1. Directly launch Organizer from the icon present in Applications folder. Don't launch it from Welcome Screen.
2. Press Shift key and launch Organizer from the Applications folder. This will launch the Catalog Manager dialog. Create the new catalog and see if it launches the Organizer.

Applications close when I right click and after I type a word.
When I right click links in Safari / Chrome - the program instantly quits with an error report.
When I open text editor and type a word then press the space bar - the program instantly quits with an error report.
When I type in to the error report and press the space bar - the program instantly quits with an arror report.

Interactive drag and drop (right clicks)
I'm trying to create interactive training videos that utilize
right-clicks as well as right-click drag and drops. I hope i'm just
missing something. It's important for our training to include these

effects. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you mean by "mouseover
transition". Just last night I posted an example to my site in
order to ask another user if this is what was meant. Take a look at
it and see if you disagree that this constitutes a "mouseover
transition".

Hmmm, I've never seen a movie that has been paused by an
interactive object just take off on its own again and simply
complete with no intervention. Are you talking about a
demonstration and not a simulation?

I DO find Captivate useful - just really frustrating when it
comes to developing interactive tutorial simulations. And what I
find most frustrating is that it's a really really good product -
but that doesn't quite do what I need it to do
Hence the rant .....
And what I meant was:
1. Right click - probably the biggest gripe. Yes, I know that
there are a few workarounds, but they all seem to require you to
start coding, or work in some situations and not others; if I'm
releasing a sim to 10000 people with varying setups I need to be
absolutely certain that it'll work.
How many applications do you know that don't use right click?
So Captivate must have full right click interactions (and by that I
mean - anything you can do with the left button you can do with the
right button).
2. Mouseover stuff. That example of yours looks pretty
impressive - not quite what I had in mind though - I really mean
transitions on mouseover to next slide, back to start of slide, to
slide x, etc etc. - example: to activate a submenu by hovering over
it, or to correctly show the change in a button's appearance when
you move your mouse over it.
I know you can do this with a rollover image - at least, you
could if it didn't crash my PC when I tried to open the image
- but that's so time consuming to have to manually
grab and overlay an image for every mouseover. So again, I really
need an 'anything you can do with a click you can do with a hover'
interaction.
3. Proper keypress interactions. I need to be able to detect
a keypress, regardless of where the mouse pointer is or where the
focus is. I know there's a partial solution involving text entry
boxes and jiggling with the shortcut key, but there are pitfalls if
the focus isn't in the text box. What I really need is an
interaction that covers the entire slide and simply detects a
keypress and gives me the same navigation options as a click.
4. Text entry handling. Yes, there's the text box
interaction, if you don't mind it not really looking like your
actual application
- but where's the pre entry text? Most apps will
squirt some default (preselected and editable) text into text boxes
- as far as I know Captivate won't - unless you klutz it using an
image - which you then can't edit.
And when you do edit the text in the box, the highlight
colours don't match system settings. And you can't get the text to
wrap properly according to the size of the text box - it sort of
scrolls horizontally. And the multiple correct answers is good, but
it won't give any leeway to spelling errors - other other sim
builders will allow you to allow, say, 6 out of 8 characters as
being enough to count as 'correct'. Oh, and there should be an
option for Captivate to monitor typing and immediately spot the
correct entry's been typed without waiting for an exit key or
click.
5. I might be about to admit I was wrong here ....
- my understanding was that you couldn't keep a
slide active for more than 3600 (?) seconds in a simulation, and
that if the slide reached its maximum time it automatically went to
the next one? Have to admit I haven't really experimented with that
side of things.
So are you saying that if you have a clickbox interaction
that moves to the next slide, and the user doesn't click it, and
you don't have a playbar, then the slide will just stay there. For
ever? If so, that does make Captivate a bit more useful to me!
Apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick on that one.
I know all this may sound like minor niggles, but it's very
important to me that my sims look and behave as close as possible
to the original app as possible. I'm more relaxed about demos -
which is where I'm using Cap at the moment. In comparison to the
sim builders you get with LMS systems it looks fantastic and is
miles more intuitive - it's just that they tend to have all the
interactions I really need - and Cap doesn't.
If they can get what I've mentioned above into Cap 3 - or,
hope against hope, 2.1 - I'll be abandoning traditional sim
builders. -
Anyone have this problem? I'm working in Mac: WORD 2008 and when I right click to bring up the window that lets me select "paste" or "cut", you know the use all the time, second nature click - the program shuts down, allows me to send an error report to WORD and then reopens WORD without having saved my work. The patterns is quirky... if I'm wanting to edit text and use the common features mentioned above it kills the program. If I'm doing other graphics tasks such as "change picture" or some word art issues it will give me that windows and let me choose a task. It worked fine for many months. I don't have right click issues in any other software. Did I inadvertently change some option somewhere? Or is this a problem with this program? Any helps, any work around. As with you, its second nature to have done right click for years on almost all programs..now this acts up. CraigT

Right click function no longer works
Using OSX 10.9.3 on my iMac. Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. Fairly new iMac, 21.5 inch, Late 2013. Just now, my right click function on my mouse does not work. I have checked my System Preferences and the right click is checked under secondary click. I did uncheck it, exit System Preferences, and then come in again and re-checked it, but that did no good.
I did restart my computer last night before I quit for the day because recently I uninstalled Sophos Anti-Virus because it seemed to be caught in a loop that was not finished "cleaning up" but that is only change I have made. Aside from the Sophos acting wonky there were no other issues with the machine last night.
The right click does not work in all programs, not just Finder. How can I get my right click function to work again? I use this function quite a lot and would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you!

Selecting "open in new tab" from right click menu does nothing
I just updated to firefox 24 on OXS. The right click menu now makes no sense.
When I right click on a web link, then select "open in new tab" nothing happens. No tab opens.
On the other hand, I now see countless irrelevant options for that link, like "copy audio location", "copy image location", "play", "pause", etc when the item I clicking on is not an image, audio, video or any other sort of media. The contents of the right click menu now is longer than my entire screen, completely irrelevant to the link I'm clicking on and the one option that is relevant does nothing.

Logitech Mouse - Right-click won't show context menu - only app switcher
I use a Logitech MX 600 mouse. In LCC, I've set the Right Button to Click as the assigned action and Right Click as the action performed. When I click the right button, it shows the app switcher.
I can see the context menu if I Control - Right Click.
As an experiment, I programmed the Thumb Back Button to Click and the action performed as Right Click and it also shows the app switcher.
In this mode, I can see the Context Menu if I Control - Thumb Back Button.
I'd like to see the context menu with Right Click without holding down Control.
I'm running Tiger with Logitech LCC software.

Right clicking causing spinning beach ball
I am having trouble with accessing contextual menus via right clicking in several applications. I use Pathfinder and every time I right click on a file/folder the program hangs and need to force quit. I searched their forums/support site and saw several complaints about this since Snow Leopard. So I thought it was a PathFinder problem.
Now I noticed it happens also in Excel 2004, Evernote, iTunes 9.0.2.
I have not tested all my apps but it doesn't happen in Mail, Safari, Finder, Address Book, 1Password, etc.
In searching forums, etc. I have found complaints about many of these individual applications without any consistent resolution.
This seems like a bigger issue than an individual application.
I am running SL 10.6.2 and Mac Pro quad core Xeon

JimThanks a lot for the quick reply. This helped me isolate the problem. It appears that Pathfinder has a problem.
After I followed you suggestion I tried each of the applications that I was having problems with. First I tried Pathfinder because I have that starting at Login. I still got the spinning beach ball. I forced quit. Then tried iTunes - worked fine. Then I tried Excel - worked fine. Then I tried Evernote - worked fine. Tried Pathfinder again - spinning beach ball. This time I just left it and didn't force quit. I tried iTunes and Evernote - worked fine. Tried Excel - spinning beach ball.
So I rebuilt LaunchServices again and this time tried Pathfinder last. All other applications worked fine until I tried right clicking in Pathfinder then I started having right clicking problems in some other applications.
I am going to share this with the Pathfinder folks. Like I said I did see some complaints of this problems there. I didn't understand that it could cause me problems in the other apps.
btw - after rebuilding the LaunchServices as you suggested I also noticed that my login time was DRAMATICALLY reduced. I load about 10 apps at login and they all loaded very fast now. So that rebuild really helped with that also.
also - I use Onyx about once a month and run many of the recommended scripts. I noticed that they offer an option to rebuild LaunchServices. Do you know if this is the same thing as the command you recommended?

Having the exact same issue. Also, on right click, many apps freeze/beachball and must force close. Additionally, uTorrent and Transmission are not operating correctly-uTorrent constantly beachballing and unresponsive. Right-click freezes with everything from Word to iMovie. Takes way too much time to do anything, and lots of cursor freezing, here is a sys log excerpt:

disk2s1 (disk2s1) <not mounted>: 209.7 MBI'm having the same issue - started a few months ago and had to forcibly shut down the Mac. That killed the hard drive, so I got a new hard drive and had the Apple Store install Lion on it, then used Migration Assistant to bring files over. Since then I've upgraded to Mountain Lion and have been experiencing lots of beach balls, freezes, etc. They're so bad that I've had to forcibly shut down 3 times, and each time can't restart. It is used to be that I could right click on the Firefox icon on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen and I would then be given the option to open all windows. Now I only see the option to close all windows. The ability to open all windows is very useful. Have you eliminated this capability? It was a very helpful feature because I often have more than 15 windows minimized at one time. On a regular basis I like to open them all and keep only the ones that I still need. I know that it is possible to see the name of each window that is minimized by moving my cursor over the Firefox icon, but this does not provide enough information. So I have to open each window one at a time to look at it and then decide to close it or keep it - this is a frustrating, time-consuming process. Is there another way to open all the minimized windows at the same time, instead of one at a time?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.

Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
* Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer.

When I watch any video on youtube, every video first starts with short freezes then freezes the Firefox 7.1 Browser window. I have to right click on the icon that shows the browser is open on the taskbar at the bottom of windows and then click on close& cancel to get it to start working again. Also, on any site, I am having problems with links & functions that suddenly stop working, site connections being dropped frequently for no reason, my Modem is stable & internet shows connected. On facebook when I click a button(photos) it doesn't work, in Amazon I click on "submit" and the button stops functioning, in yahoo mail I can click on a button to "send" mail and it won't work. I can open them in IE9 or Chrome but not in Firefox. I have tried disabling all plugins.I also have tried disabling all but flash and still the problems persist. I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF.
Command + R *should* take it to a recovery console. Command + Option + P + R resets the PRAM, but that doesn't sound like your fix.If all of your buttons are working fine on OSX side, I would ignore PRAM / NVRAM / SMC reset tricks, since these are tested as working fine.
I would say you should probably reinstall the drivers for bootcamp. I tried this with 5 in Windows 8 and it gives you an option to repair. The reason I say this is because the UI isn't showing up, which means that it's using another driver.
If this doesn't work, go into device manager and then roll back to your previous settings.
One more thing comes to mind. Do you ever use Parallels or VMWare to load your bootcamp partition? They have their own driver packages which can cause some unwanted behavior when using windows natively.
One last thing you can do is try to by-pass the GUI powerplan entirely. You can use the Powercfg command, which, as it happens, has instructions on how to forcefully set the brightness values. You probably won't be able to make it through these instructions since you will get an error at some point, but that will give us more diagnostic information.

I have several admins who have for years combined quantities of large Word documents into a single PDF by highlighting them, right-clicking, and selecting "Combine supported files in Acrobat." Until recently, they were all using Office 2010 Pro Plus and a variety of versions of Acrobat - Standard 9, Professional 9, Standard 10. They said it was quick and painless. We've recently deployed Office 2013 Pro Plus, and they are complaining that doing the same thing they've always done is either completing but yeilding only the first document in the resulting PDF or rendering their systems unresponsive. I have reproduced their issues and have found some evidence online of Possible incompatibilities between Office programs and the Adobe Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin add-in, however Adobe's list of Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications indicates that Office 2013 supports PDFMaker versions as old as Acrobat 6, and we are not that outdated. Any suggestions? This is crippling their productivity.

CarrieOnly the updated Acrobat XI supports Office 2013. The updates are necessary to address the changes to OFFICE introduced after Acrobat XI was released (OFFICE 2013 is more recent than the original AA XI release). No other versions of Acrobat can be used with OFFICE 2013 other than printing to the Adobe PDF printer.
