RMAN splite in two files

HI,
I am having one 9i database on windows.up to last week it was well functioning but suddenly the rman backup file shown to be got splits in two files.innitially my file size is around 3GB but now it shows spliting in two, one of 2GB and another 1GB.I'm not getting why this happnig.pls help me ..thanking in advance.

Selected "Edit in Audition," audio track was split into two files. Preference change?[image included]

I have no idea what kind of shortcut key or preference I changed.
When I select any video on any premiere timeline to "edit in audition" i end up with the audio getting split into two wav files instead of one, as the red rectangular shows. Instead of the single audio track to edit in which you can see in the blue rectangular.
***The blue rectangular I got when I dropped a video directly into audition.
Update: did some testing around in premiere, this issue only happens with clips that are on a timeline, but if I "edit in audition" from "project" (main folder with all material), I can edit it properly.

Its one file with two different dispalys.
You can pull the bottom one down by dragging it down or hit the very little triangle on the right side.

Movie and iTunes Extras Split into Two FIles

I download most movies on my Windows 7 machine. It downloads just fine as does downloading movies on my two Macs. Things get a little weird when I use the iTunes feature "Show items not in my library" to keep all the copies of iTunes with the same downloads. When I copy from one machine to another, the movie icon in the Movies Library on the receiving machine breaks into two identical icons with different file names. For example, The Last Airbender - iTunes Extras & The Last Airbender. Is there any way for me to get these things to fuse back together?

Try this:
When you download iTunes Extras movies, the extras will be downloaded to your iTunes Music/Downloads/Movie_Subfolder. The actual movie usually is in the iTunes Music/Movies/Movie_Name folder. Go back to the Downloads/Movie_Subfolder and cut and paste the files from the .tmp folder into the same folder as the iTunes Music/Movies/Movie_Name folder.

PDFs Splitting Into Two Files

I have a few 70 page+ documents that I convert to PDFs for easier viewing, but lately when I go to "Print" and "Save As PDF", it'll convert the first 28-36 pages or so as one document and print the rest as a second document. It's a different number every time for the first PDF. I have to go into Preview and merge the two together, which isn't the end of the world obviously, but it is an odd problem that I haven't found any solutions for. Thoughts?

I assume your printer driver is in charge of conversion. Perhaps it is a file size problem. The driver
may only allow creation of PDF file of less than the maximum file size limit (whatever that is).
Apple has changed the way PDF printing is handled now, the new PDF workflow takes advantage of
the PDF-based printing architecture already present in 10.6. How this interacts with the way 10.6
works with your particular printer, I don't know, but, you may want to contact the printer
manufacturer to see if it a printer limitation (such as available memory) that is causing this to happen.

How can I split a QuickTime file in two?

8/21/2006. How can I split a QuickTime file in two? I saved a two hour videotape converted by PYRO A/V LINK to iBook G4 combo into a file of 24.5 Gb, and I saved to QuickTime into 536 mgs. Of course, it took half a day. When I went to copy it as video (536 mgs) onto a CD of 700 mg capacity, Toast 7 said it required 1100 mgs and couldn't do it. I have QuickTime Pro, got just recently. I would be very happy to learn how to split it, so to copy each of the split pieces onto 2 CD's, for my own purposes. Many, many thanks. Chuck Yopst. Kirk, Thanks for your post Monday 8/21. Interesting how things worked out. I split the OuickTime file--of my retired uncle Church of the Brethren pastor's 50th wedding anniversary, and came up with two folders. Each contained four more folders, and inside folder Mvseg was file Avseq.dat which contained the video material and, when double clicked, started playing that half of the story on Windows 98SE. It just so happens that my uncle's PC operating system is a Windows 98SE. All this from QuickTime 7.0 which Windows 98SE would play the audio but not the video. Then a week later, yesterday in fact, in looking through iDVD help I found your solution, which heretofore I had no idea of. I had to go into System Preferences--Hardware--CDs & DVDs, and set these for "Open with 'Ask what you want to do'." The factory settings were to "open these when inserted" without that "Ask"ing. So then I was able and did follow your solution and it worked, but as a single QuickTime file, playable on Windows XP and Windows 2000 and Macintosh but not Windows 98SE. Split records into two files based on lookup table

Hi,
I'm new to ODI and want to know on how I could split records into two files based on a value in one of the columns in the table.
Example:
Table:
my columns are
account name country
100 USA
200 USA
300 UK
200 AUS
So from the 4 records I maintain list of countries in a lookup file and split the records into 2 different files based on values in the file...
Say I have records AUS and UK in my lookup file...
So my ODI routine should send all records with country into file1 and rest to file2.
So from above records
File1:
300 UK
200 AUS
File2:
100 USA
200 USA
Can you help me how to achieve this?

1. where and how do i create filter to restrict countries? In source or target? Should I include some kind of filter operator in interface.
You need to have the Filter on the Source side so that we can filter records accordingly the capture the same in the File. To have a Filter . In the source data store click and drag the column outside the data store and you will have Cone shaped icon and now you can click and type the Filter.

2. If I have include multipe countries like (USA,CANADA,UK) to go to one file and rest to another file; Can I use some kind of lookup file...? Instead of modifying filter inside interface...Can i Update entries in the file?
there are two ways of handling your situation.
Solution 1.
1. Create Variable Country_Variable
2. Create a Filter in the Source datastore in the First Interface ( SOURCE.COLUMN = #Country_Variable)
3. Create a new Package Country File Unload
4. Call the Variable in Country_Variable in Set Mode and provide the Country (USA )
5. Next call the First Interface
6. Next call the Second Interface where the Filter condition will be ( SOURCE.COLUMN ! = #Country_Variable )
7. Now run the package .
Solution 2.
If you need a solution to handle through Filer.
1. Use this Method (http://odiexperts.com/how-to-refresh-odi-variables-from-file-%E2%80%93-part-1-%E2%80%93-just-one-value ) to call the File where you wish to create store the country name into the variable Country_Variable
2. Pretty much the same Create a Filter in the Source datastore in the First Interface ( SOURCE.COLUMN = #Country_Variable)
3.Create a new Package Country File Unload
4.Next call the Second Interface where the Filter condition will be ( SOURCE.COLUMN ! = #Country_Variable )
5. Now run the package .
Now through this way using File you can control the File.

Splitting one message into two files

Hi all,
I have a case where I have to generate two files for a single incoming message.The scenario is as follows-
I have the following structure as target -
- Structure 1 with some fields in it
- Structure 2 with some fields in it
I have done the mapping of the target with the source.
Now what I require is a separate file for structure 1 and another file for structure 2

You need to use BPM for this.
First create a message mapping with one source and two targets.
To add more message types to a mess map, go to the Messages tab (there are 3 tabs: Design, Test, Messages ).
Then you need one transformation and two send steps in the BPM.

The Same Album is Split Into Two On My iPod

Okay this may be hard to explain but here it goes...
I bought a CD, and imported it onto my iTunes library. No big deal. It imported fine. Then I tried importing it onto my 4th Generation iPod Touch (32GB). The album has 10 tracks, and it was split into two on my iPod. One album has all tracks 1-10, while the other has tracks 2-10. But when I search up the song on my iPod (on the songs list), it only comes up as one. I tried deleted the album that has tracks 2-10, but when I do, the tracks 2-10 on the other album get deleted, so I'm only left with Track 1.
This is starting to get really confusing for me and I don't know what to do. In my iTunes library it comes up as one album, on iTunes when I look at my songs list it comes up as one album, and even on my actual iPod on the songs list, there's only 1 version of each song, but on the albums list, there's 2 versions of the same album.

In iTunes on your computer right click on the songs and select Get Info and look at the sorting. From iTunes Help

BPM was Picking two files but it was not processing 2nd file data in target

I have designed scenario for picking two files and i want to merge this files into single structure and send it target.when i am try to testing my bpm was picking two files but it is processing only file it went target system.i have steructe for source like

i am getting two source files with the same structure but i have to map it one target structure and i want to map both source fileds to one target structre under item node so i was duplicated item node and mapped a b c fields from both(2 source structures).while testing BPM is picking two file bu in the target i am getting only first file data under item node,whatever i mapped with duplicate structure with second file i am not getting into target file(target is standard proxy structure so cant' create new one item node in that occurance is 0 to unbounded thats y i duplicated node while testing interface mapping its working fine).can anyone suggest solution for this problem.

In BPM follow the below steps and hopefully your problem will be solved.
1.     Configure one sender CC to get the files from your application server, once the files hit the BPM now you need to
                     configure your BPM accordingly.
2.     Use the Receiver step in BPM to receive the messages. Use the correlation step to get the correct files.
3.     Use container and append the files, so both the files will be append, this means the message content will
                     have 1header, body, footer, 2header, body, footer.
4.     If you want to split the message to different receiver then use the fork step else leave it.
5.     Use the transformation step, the transformation step will call the message mapping. Provide the correct message
                     mapping.
6.     Now use the sender step to send the message to the receiver-target system. In this step use the split value for each
                      concept if you want to generate two different files.
7.     Configure 1 receiver CC to generate both the files.

File Splitting for Large File processing in XI using EOIO QoS.

I am currently working on a scenario to split a large file (700MB) using sender file adapter "Recordset Structure" property (eg; Row, 5000). As the files are split and mapped, they are, appended to a destination file. In an example scenario a file of 700MB comes in (say with 20000 records) the destination file should have 20000 records.
To ensure no records are missed during the process through XI, EOIO, QoS is used. A trigger record is appended to the incoming file (trigger record structure is the same as the main payload recordset) using UNIX shellscript before it is read by the Sender file adapter.
XPATH conditions are evaluated in the receiver determination to eighther append the record to the main destination file or create a trigger file with only the trigger record in it.
Problem that we are faced is that the "Recordset Structure" (eg; Row, 5000) splits in the chunks of 5000 and when the remaining records of the main payload are less than 5000 (say 1300) those remaining 1300 lines get grouped up with the trigger record and written to the trigger file instead of the actual destination file.
For the sake of this forum I have a listed a sample scenario xml file representing the inbound file with the last record wih duns = "9999" as the trigger record that will be used to mark the end of the file after splitting and appending.

In the sender file adapter I have for test purpose changed the "Recordset structure" set as "Row,5" for this sample xml inbound file above.
I have two XPATH expressions in the receiver determination to take the last record set with the Duns = "9999" and send it to the receiver (coominication channel) to create the trigger file.
In my test case the first 5 records get appended to the correct destination file. But the last two records (6th and 7th record get sent to the receiver channel that is only supposed to take the trigger record (last record with Duns = "9999").

We do have 64 bit architecture and still we have the file processing problem. Currently we are splitting the file into smaller chuncks and processsing. But we want to process as a whole file.

Alv output splitting into two rows when converting into excel sheet.

I have alv report with 60 fields . The report output is coming currently . But when i am exporting into excel sheet from the option local file--> speadsheet each row is splitting into two rows including header in excel sheet.

Hi,
Please use the grid option and with the Spreadsheet button (CntrShiftF7). Do "Save as" and save it as excel. It should work.

Photos are split in 2 files when sent by Apple Mai, why?

Anybody encountered the same problem?
if sending a photo by mail, my web.de account would show the recieved email with 2 files instead of one!!
Also if I send photos to my msn.com account, there appears the same phenomenon.
I can't open these 2 files with my Windows Pc, but if loading them to my Powerbook, I can open one file (the photo) but the other file would appear as a thumbnail and can't be opened by any program.
What's odd:
if I send a photo with apple mail in connection with iphoto, there would appear the same problem if choosing the original size of the photo.
BUT if I choose another size (big, or small for example) the
email arrives without any phenomenon. The photo is usable also in my Windows Pc then.
Another strange thing:
I use Apple mail/ entourage (on my Apple) for recieving emails. So if I send a photo with original size to myself (as an experiment) the programs actually show only 1 file as it should be. (Remember: the web.de account and the msn.com account would show the same email with 2 files instead!)
If loading the photo (any photo) manually by my web.de account and sending it with the web.de account the email would appear in every case with the one file (photo) as it should arrive.
Does Apple Mail have encoding problems? And why does my entourage program have the exactly the same problem???
Why doees the problem disappear if I change the photo size with iphoto in connection with Apple mail / entourage?

I have to add something:
the two files the photo is split to are:
1) the bigger one is the jpeg file, the photo itself.
2) the smaller one is a TIFF file, which can be only displayed if loaded to my Powerbook. Its a miniature view / icon of the jpeg photo.
On the Windows Pc both files can't be displayed!
The pictures were taken with my Canon IXUS 800 IS and were imported through iphoto.
Another important thing I discovered:
Other photos, taken by other digicams make no trouble when sent by Apple mail or Entourage, ...
Anybody has an idea how to fix this?

I have to merge two files into one file. The two input files are as below :

For this scenario I have defined three datatypes , message types and the message interfaces as below :
For File1: Mi_file1_ob, Mi_file1_abs
For File2: Mi_file2_ob, Mi_file2_abs
For output : mi_output_ib, mi_ouput_abs
In interface mapping I have selected two source interface and one targetu2026
For Integration process I have selected two receives as two branches of fork and transformation to collect them and a send..
In IR part I have defined three communication channels sender1, sender2 and a receiver . I have imported the integration from IP and rest is sameu2026
I am facing a problem for getting the outputu2026
When I checked in sxmb_moni everything is fine and sxi_cache and the return code is also 0 but I am not getting the outputu2026
Can anyone help me in finding out the problem..

ORDERS Idoc splitting into two

   I have requiremnt where i need to Split Orders idoc into messages.
   1. Orders XML file 2.XML file only with control record fields.
i have seen all the discssion on this and deceiced to implement the scenario as per
/people/jin.shin/blog/2006/02/07/multi-mapping-without-bpm--yes-it146s-possible   blog. But the problem is need to use two message types on the target side.. for splitting the message..
ORDERS and Contrlo record Fields message type... i can't change the standard idoc..
Can i add the Control record fields to Standard IDOC in any way....   like exporting file...if so..
tell me whether the Idoc will split into two messaged or not....

My doubt is in the mentioned blog target msg type was created one.. here i need to take with ORDERS idoc(ED in our case). I need to split the IDOC everytime when it triggers based on RCVPRN field value.. this value is always so there should be 2 values everytime.
you will need to duplicate the IDOC at the target side to achieve this...if you are successful in doing the 0...unbounded thing for your IDOC....
1) Duplicating:
Duplicating is not Multimapping.....Multimapping is what you saw in the blog and duplicating is right-clicking on the node and choosing Duplicate Subtree....no two messages will be created in this process (duplicating).....
2) Multimapping:
it is used to create two (or more) different messages at the target end...
Does it split into two message ( ORDERS XML and Control Record XML)
No it wont split the IDOC into two messages.....
So if your requirement is to have only one target message with seperate IDOC nodes..having ORDERS and Control data individually...then go for duplication method...apply the condition for RCVPRN to generate the nodes...
If your req is to have two different messages at the target then use multimapping apply the condition for RCVPRN to generate the two different messages.....

How to open acrobat in java and compare two files using javacode

I am absolutely new to use acrobat software in Java. I want to open two pdf files at a time and then compare the differences between them thru java program .
i am not sure how to do it. iam trying many ways without success.
I used jre and could open open files using runtime method , but couldn't do comaparision. i..e could't access tools menu (alt+t) Compare two files and <enter>. help in java will be appreciated.
Pls guide me the steps to use the acrobat library. At http://partners.adobe.com/asn/acrobat i found supporting vb and vc only.

iText is an open source PDF library, reads a PDF one page at a time. You could check it out. I've used it for writing/splitting/concatenating PDFs, but not comparing files
