RNIF Receiver Adapter with attachment

Hi All,
Has anyone done an RNIF receiver adapter which can also do an attachment ? Any thoughts or ideas other than just help.sap links .
Thanks Rahul.

Hi Rahul,
I am giving you below the best material that is availabe for RNIF.
If you want to implement RNIF adapter you may want to have a look at the following blogs:

  • Using file receiver adapter with a different user

    Hello.
    I have a simple question (at least I think it is)
    Can I use a file receiver adapter (where the transport protocol is NFS - not FTP)
    so that a different user will access the directory (not the usual SAPServiceSID)?
    I don't see any place for using username and password, and using the FTP protocol is not possible
    because of security reasons.
    Any help Appreciated.

    Hello.
    Thanks for the quick answers.
    I'm sorry for not being clear enough before.
    I have a microsoft network share on a different server then the PI.
    When I use the path:
    server\share
    I manage to successfully put a file via the file receiver adapter, with NFS as the transport protocol.
    However in order to do this, the owner of the share had to give credentials to the user: SAPServiceSID of my PI system
    which is an active directory user.
    The owner wants me to use a local user instead.
    Can this be done with a local user?

  • Mail adapter with attachment

    hello
    I have a mail sender adapter with attachment, that I would like to transfer to other PI.
    the important is to keep the attachment and to deliever it to the PI
    any ideas?

    Hi,
    By using Java mapping, you can easily achieve this.
    Or use Adapter module 'PayloadSwapBean '.
    Please see the below blogs, it might be helpful to you.

  • JDBC Receiver Adapter with Native SQL String

    Hi experts
    I need to use a JDBC Receiver Adapter with Message Protocol of Native SQL String, but I don´t understand how to create my data type for XML Document Format. I studied the following example from the SAP Library,
    INSERT INTO tableName (column-name1, column-name2, column-name3) VALUES(u2018column-value1u2019, u2018column-value2u2019, u2018column-value3u2019)
    i´ll be very thankful of your recommendations.

    Another simple way is..
    Create receiver data structure like this....
    <StatementName>
    <anyName action=u201DSQL_DMLu201D>
    <access>INSERT INTO tableName (column-name1, column-name2, column-name3) VALUES('$column-value1$', '$column-value2$', '$column-value3$')
    </access>
    <key>
      <column-value1>value1</column-value1>
      <column-value2>value2<column-value2>
       <column-value3>value3<column-value3>
    </key>
    </anyName >
    </StatementName>
    Rest are all same.

    I am receiving emails with attached videos or documents and when I click to open I get TextEdit back with a bunch of gobblygook of letters,numbers and symbols but no video or legible documents.

    Hi rwebster. Please see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-mail_spam You can avoid directly opening the file:
    # Download the attachment.
    # Scan it at http://www.virustotal.com before opening.
    # Open it by double-clicking it in your file browser.
    If you trust the sender and still want to configure the browser to open the files directly without saving, then please see here: [[Managing file types]]

  • Xi sender mail adapter with attachment (to Web Service w/ attachment)

    Hello,
    We're working on an XI scenario wherein a sender mail adapter polls an exchange server inbox for mail (with attachment)and sends the attachment to a Web Service via SOAP Adapter? Does anyone know if this is doable, and if so, how?
    Thanks,
    Eric

    Hi!
    I think so, if you just have a single attachment to be transferred.
    Use the Mail Sender Adapter and specify the MailServer URL etc...
    In the Module provessor of the Mail-Adapter you have to specify the PayloadSwapBean ( -> this changes the payload - the attachment becomes the payload)
    then you configure the standard XI-scenario with
    SenderAgreement
    Mapping if necessary
    Receiver Agreement
    Receiver adapter

  • SOAP Receiver adapter with attachments not working

    Hello,
    I have a simple synchronous scenario like this; ABAP proxy with attachments to SOAP with attachments.
    The SOAP receiver adapter has been configured with the parameters 'Do not Use SOAP envelope' and 'Keep attachments'. We create our own SOAP envelope with custom SOAP headers, so that's the reason for the 'Do not use SOAP envelope' setting.
    When we test the scenario with an attachment then we get a timeout from PI. However, when we test the same scenario without any attachment then no errors occur.
    The external webservice has also been tested with SOAP UI and it works fine.
    Do you have any clues what the problem can be? What are we still missing in the configuration?
    We did try with the adapter modules such as PayloadSwapBean and the Message TransformBean, so far without success...
    Many thanks.
    Roberto

    Hi Stefan,
    The attachments are not really big, around 150KB.
    According to the other party (Oracle Service Bus) no messages with attachments have been received. In fact it seems like those messages never leave the PI server. SOAP requests without attachments are processed successfully.
    Thanks
    Roberto

  • File adapter with attachment to mail

    Hi,
    I am working on a scenario where I want to attach a file that is not .txt or .xml along with my file sender adapter . This is, in turn ,received with a mail adapter and I want the attachment to come along with the mail.
    My question is, Is the attachment always in xml format, or can I receive it just as the it is.
    cheers,
    Prashanth

    Hi,
    About SOAP Adapters-
    Develop a Java Application, which reads SOAP Header/Attachments and Sends it as a Mail with attachment using JAVA Mail API. This application should be exposed as a WebService. And invoke this WebService from XI thru SOAP Receiever Adapter.
    Is your idea is sending file as attachment from Sender File Adapter, you need to get the attached file as an attchment in the Mail right ? If so you can try as I said.
    May be useful,

  • PI 7.11 - Sync HTTP receiver adapter with response XML file

    Hi
    We have a File to HTTP scenario in which we need a sync HTTP interface. We send a file to the HTTP address and receive a XML acknowledge. As I read in this forum: sync HTTP interfaces are not possible with the "standard" HTTP adapter. So I found an entry which recommended to use the SOAP adapter instead.
    I configured it:
    - Do Not Use SOAP envelope
    - modules: RequestResponseBeans, CallSapAdapter, ResponseOneWayBean
    If i use this scenario, i get following error in the RWB - Message Display Tool:
    Delivering the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.Message.getMessageId() of an object loaded from local variable 'message1'.
    I testet this scenario using CURL and it worked properly. Should this kind of scenario work with the SOAP adapter or do I need to buy/develop an own adapter? Is in NW7.3 possible to configure sync HTTP scenarios?
    Thanks in advance
    Michael

    Hi
    actually i use a simple HTTP receiver CC with the setting "XI Payload in HTTP Body" to send a XML datafile to a webpage (java servlet). This part works fine by now. But, this servlet would also send back a status information to the state of the received datafile, which I like to catch.
    e.g. HTTP response from the servlet (catched using CURL):
    HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden

  • Error in SOAP Receiver Adapter with HTTPS

    Dear All,
    I am developing a SOAP to SOAP scenario with HTTPS i.e. client without authentication and I am facing an issue with the receiver adapter. Few messages fails in the receiver side while rest are successful.
    Error - Delivery of the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.IOException: Failed to get the input stream from socket: iaik.security.ssl.SSLCertificateException: Peer certificate rejected by ChainVerifier
    Please let me know what can be the reason for the error.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Rana Brata De

    Hi Rana,
    Check the certificates sequence as well the certificates end dates in STRUST in SAP PI system. if, deployed in NWA level check over there.
    One more :: sending the data to web server or web page. make sure, PI is pointing to which server.

  • HTTP Receiver adapter with post

    Hello,
    I have following scenario.
    XI (http receiver adapater) -
    > 3rd party web based application.
    The 3rd party application expects XI payload to be part of URL with POST Method.
    When HTTP receiver adapter sends request to 3rd party application, the URL looks like as follows.
    http://myserver:6789/myapplication/name1=value1&name2=value2&.....&name27=value27
    I looked at HTTP receiver adpater document on SDN. I see some attributes such as headerfiled1, headerfiled2..... headerfield6 and urlfield1....urlfield6. I have about over 25 fields to be passed with URL.
    Now I have following questions.
    1. How to make XI payload as name value pairs and part of URL.?
    2. I think the default for http adapater is GET, How to configure http adaper to use POST?
    I appreciate your help.
    Thank you,
    Balaji

    > 1. How to make XI payload as name value pairs and part of URL.?
    You should create the whole URL in a user defined function in mapping.
    > 2. I think the default for http adapater is GET, How to configure http adaper to use POST?
    HTTP adapter (and SOAP adapter) use HTTP POST. GET is not supported.

  • Receiving email with attachment in database.

    Hi,
    Can anybody tell me if it is possible to poll an email
    account (eg [email protected]) for emails with attached
    XML files (1 file per mail) and to detach/read the attached XML file,
    Thanks,
    john

    I don't believe there's any packaged way of doing this at the moment. The UTL_SMTP is only capable of sending e-mail.
    You might be able to write something using UTL_TCP, but that's kind of low level. Alternatively, you might be able to do something by wrapping some JavaMail stuff in a Java Stored Procedure. Sorry I can't be any more concrete.
    Cheers, APC

  • Receiver Mail Adapter with Attachment and Mailpackage

    I have set up a scenario
    filesystem: filexxx.xml filexxx.pdf
    xml= mailpackage format to get the receiver mailaddress
    pdf=the file i want to send as a attchment.
    I am using the RenemAttachment module i found on SDN.
    in SXMB_MONI it looks ok,  the attachment name is filexxx.pdf application/pdf
    But when i look at the mail send it shows as attachments
    Untitled.txt and Untitled.pdf
    Any id's
    I only want to send the mail woth one attachment, the original pdf as a attchment.
    tnx

    Issue should be solved with SP17.
    I solved by putting the attacgement into the content part of the message.
    like.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO8859-1"?>
    <ns1:Mail xmlns:ns1="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30">

  • File receiver adapter with the same filename than sender

    Hi guys,
    I am experiencing a problem when I use the <b>Adapter Specific Message Properties</b> to be able to receive a file with the same name as the sender.
    I've been following the example of Michal Krawczyk (XI: The same filename from a sender to a receiver file adapter - SP14) but i get a problem  related with the content converter parameters.
    The error I receice in the File  Adapter is the next:
    <i>Could not process due to error: java.lang.Exception: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: more fields found in XML structure than specified in conversion parameters!</i>
    I have been trying to do all the combinations with the content conversion parameters but the result is allways the same, MORE FIELDS FOUND IN XML ....
    My XML structure is the next:
    <ns0:MT_MDFranceN xmlns:ns0="urn:s-n:HR:MasterDataFrance">
       <lines>
          <line>
             <header/>    1..1
             <data/>       0...unbound
          </line>
       </lines>
    </ns0:MT_MDFranceN>
    In the header I write the name of the file with the code provided by SAP and Michal, so the name of the file is stored there.
    any help?
    Thanks!!!!!

    I have changed the XML because, as you said, there is no need to introduce the filename inside the payload. Now the  structure is the next:
    <i><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:MT_MDFranceN xmlns:ns0="urn:s-n:HR:MasterDataFrance">
       <lines>
          <line>
             <data/>
          </line>
       </lines>
    </ns0:MT_MDFranceN></i>
    Record Structure: lines,line
    line.addHeaderLine   0
    line.endSeparator     'nl'
    lines.fieldSeparator   'nl'
    line.fieldFixedLengths  1300
    A sample of the payload is the next:
    - <ns0:MT_MDFranceN xmlns:ns0="urn:s-n:HR:MasterDataFrance">
    - <lines>
    - <line>
      <data>EDI_DC40_U5300000</data>
      <data>E2HR_HD001 530000000000007802</data>
      <data>E2HR_KY001 530000000000101TS 20070104000010 20070129</data>
    000000601</data>
      </line>
      </lines>
      </ns0:MT_MDFranceN>
    And.....   I still have the same problem, the same message in the file adapter:
    <b> 'java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: more fields found in XML structure than specified in conversion parameters</b>
    Any idea of what can be the problem?
    thank you very much!!!
