Batch no allocation when GR

I need to allocate Batch no. for individual quantity during GR i.e If I do GR for 10 pcs then need to allocate 10 different batch no. to them.How i can do it when I do GR more than one pcs simultaniously.

While doing GR your GR qty is 10 Pcs and if you want separate batch no for each pc then you need to split your GR qty from 10 pcs to 1 pc each line item of GR. U can split this by using distribute qty button which is located above detail items window in T.Code MIGO .
Kindly note you canu2019t assign / generate multiple batches nos for one single line item of GR.

Can I label each batch of photos when adding to PHOTOS?

I hate PHOTOS already. I can't seem to find a way to label each batch of photos when uploading to PHOTOS as I did in iPhoto. Is there any way to do this? I might want to search for a group of photos like "The Smith Wedding" if I were a professional photographer and don't remember the date . It was simple in iPhoto. How do I do it in PHOTOS where it seems everything is organized by date only ??? Darn few preferences for me to tweak in this app. I'll send feedback to Apple if there is no way to do this.

Your answer was patronizingly obvious, and not at all helpful. I am just disturbed that Apple has removed a simple, obvious function. As a Mac owner since 1984 I can tell you that simple, obvious function has always been and should continue to be the hallmark of the Mac OS. I wanted to be sure that simple functionality is really gone before I send a feedback to Apple. BTW Totoff answered the question but it's still a clunky and not obvious function.

Automatic owner allocation when moveout issue

Hi Experts.
I am facing the problem with the Automatic Owner Allocation When a moveout is done from a premise.
For the above sceneraio i have configured the following steps:
1.Set the radio button Owner Allocation with Automatic Move-In.
2.Allocated the owner to premise by using the Tcode ES51.
3.Activated the Work flow "WS20500047".
I am able to trigger the work flow but work flow ended with error
"Work item 000000392219: Object MOVEINDOC method MOVEINOFOWNERCREATENODIALOG cannot be executed"
"Move-In Document could not be created".
Could you please help me out how to resolve this issue.

Have you maintained the refference Contract number at Workfllow level ? Just check this. Eventhough if you are facing the same problem then its purely related to Workflow.

Bug report & possible patch: Wrong memory allocation when using BerkeleyDB in concurrent processes

When using the BerkeleyDB shared environment in parallel processes, the processes get "out of memory" error, even when there is plenty of free memory available. This results in possible database corruption.
Typical use case when this bug manifests is when BerkeleyDB is used by rpm, which is installing an rpm package into custom location, or calls another rpm instance during the installation process.
The bug seems to originate in the env/env_region.c file: (version of the file from BDB 4.7.25, although the culprit code is the same in newer versions too):

Usage from the rpm's perspective:
The line 346 calculates how much memory we need for structures DB_THREAD_INFO. We allocate structure DB_THREAD_INFO for every process calling db4 library. We don't deallocate these structures but when number of processes is greater than dbenv->thr_max then we try to reuse some structure for process that is already dead (or doesn't use db4 no longer). But we have DB_THREAD_INFOs in hash buckets and we can reuse DB_THREAD_INFO only if it is in the same hash bucket as new DB_TREAD_INFO. So line 346 should contain:

Why we don't encounter this problem earlier? There are some magic reserves as you can see on line 349 and some other additional space is created by alligning to blocks. But if we have two processes running at the same time and these processes end up in the same hash bucket and we repeat this proces many times to fill all hash buckets with two DB_THREAD_INFOs then we have 2 * env->thr_nbucket(37) = 74 DB_THREAD_INFOs, which is much more than dbenv->thr_max(8) + dbenv->thr_max(8) / 4 = 10 and plus allocation from dbc_put, we are out of memory.
And how we will create two processes that end up in the same hash bucket. We can start one process (rpm -i) and then in scriptlet we start many processes (rpm -q ...) in loop and one of them will be in the same hash bucket as the first process (rpm -i).
I would like to know your opinion on this issue, and if the proposed fix would be acceptable.

The attached patch for db-4.7 makes two changes:
it allows enough for each bucket to have the configured number of threads, and
it initializes env->thr_nbuckets, which previously had not been initialized.

Status is failed when a batch is scheduled when the destination is PDF

I have couple of batched which need's to be scheduled among those one of the batch which are ll running with PDF destination is getting the status as error so what would be the error for this.

check FrConfig.cmd file it will point to Setenv.bat file... make sure you have correct path there. when i made changes in there it is now accepting the folders

There is a related Bug (known issue) for this. You'll have to use the hyperion service user(the user account which was used to install) to burst to a shared directory.
How about creating a hard link and adding that as an ExportFolder. (I've never tried it). It may work because FR might think that as a local folder.
When i said hard link was a referring to a link created using MKLINK command Mklink not a local folder.

Batch reservation & Allocation in process order

I am allocating batch to process order components(for active ingridient)While I am allocating the batch I am able to select the batch which has all of its quantity reserved,which is not desireble.Any solutions please??/
Eg.In MMBE my batch stock(say for batch AA11) is as follows:Unres stck 100 & reserves 100
If I am determing batch for a different process order where this component is used,I am able to select the same batch,even though it has no open quantities.

If there are two instances, A and B, created in the package.
My issue:
1. Are keys[0]~ keys [3] kept while B is deleted?
2. Does each instance have itsown object while "keys[length] = (DESKey)KeyBuilder.buildKey((byte)3, (short)0x80, false);"?
3. follow item 2, if A and B share the same object, is the object kept while B is deleted?

Batch - Incorrect Function when deployed

Hi everybody.
I'm trying to deploy a Windows 8 Custom Start Screen (the metro screen).
I created a Batch file to do it :
POWERSHELL -NonInteractive -Command Import-StartLayout -LayoutPath .\CustomScreenLayout.bin -MountPath %SystemDrive%\
The binary file is in the same folder.
The batch and the bin works perfectly fine when I launch it manually post installation. But like I have over 100 computers to install and don't want to do it everytime.
Does someone have an idea ?

Batch model hangs when Windows is locked

I'm running the batch model with 5 sockets. When the Windows screen is locked, the model hangs after all of the test sockets have completed at the batch model step titled "Sync With Controller -- AfterPostUUT." This call is part of the ManagedModelSupport.dll. I have TestStand 2012 SP1 running on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

Are you running the program with Admin privileges? It is possible that going to sleep without admin privileges may terminate some threads.
Additionally, have you attempted to run a batch model shipping example and locking the computer? What are the results of such a test?

Batch number issue when posting goods receipt for Subcontracting PO

Dear expert,
I always heard there will be issues while posting goods receipt for subcontracting PO. If the component is managered by batch.
No batch number will be proposed during PGR in MIGO...
I dont quite understand where is the issue??
My understanding:
We have batch managered components and End Product. All have batch numbers, then we PGI the stock to 'SC stock' via 541 movement type.
Then Vendor will finish the end product and send us back the end product.
We consumption the components use 543 O movement type? And GR the end product..
So while goods receipt, the sytem just need pick the existing batch number for both components and finish products..
Where are the issues???

You are right!!
Setting of batch number determination has its importance in Mvt Type be it 541, 543....
The issue you might have observed would be with Batch Determination in Goods Issues which folks find it bit tough to achieve n make it work for them.

Auto creation of Batch master data when external batch no entered in PR

At persent we can auto create batches at production order creation level, Goods receipt level.
In same way how we can achive auto creation of Batch master data at Purchase Requisition level.

There is no auto-creation of batches that are entered in ME51N. SAP issues message ME178 telling you that the batch entered does not exist.
You have to maintain the batch in MSC1N first, then you can enter it in the PR.

Labels Batch No allocation in Purchase requistion while MRP Run

Dear Experts,
While running the MRP PR are generated for labels as per BOM to purchase department, but in our case labels are purchased by purchase department, So can i give the batch number to purchase department through PR, so that they can print the labels as per the batch number mentioned in PR.

Thanks for your appreciations.
In PR you can maintain texts at Header level or at Item level. Go to transaction ME52N - Change PR & Enter your required PR no.
Now if you want to maintain some common texts for your complete PR then enter Header Texts. For that you can click on the Expand Header tab below the bucket trolley or press Ctrl+F2. Texts tab will be opened. Now you can enter the texts in the field of Header texts.
If you want to enter the texts specific to any Items, then you have to enter texts at Item level. For that you have to select that item and click on the Collapse Item Details or press Ctrl+F7. There also you can select the individual items from drop down which are present in the PR. Select Texts tab and there you can enter the required texts, in your case you can enter the required Batch No. for those items. Here you have different options like item texts, Item Note, Delivery texts etc. etc. You have to double click on those options where you want to enter the texts.
Further for your information, to copy those texts in to PO, you need to do the customizing with the help of your MM Consultant. Also you can print those texts on your output.

Necessity of zone, bin number in batch number allocation

you need to do an iterative approach to see if the test socket is active based on a point before you set the number of threads to wait for with the rendezvous - Runstate.TestSockets.Count contains a number that says how many are available (enabled and disabled) and then the list (array) of all the testsockets is in Runstate.root.Parameters.ModelData.TestSockets[x] and you're looking for the disabled item in there.
So for each in Runstate.Root.Parameters.TestSockets[item].Disabled count the number of falses and use that for the number of rendezvous threads to setup.
Of course, as the previous poster noted - this doesn't help if you've already committed to a number of rendezvous threads and you're finding you're skipping over a rendezvous step.
Options here are to look at the top level again, and if there's a step going through cleanup because it failed, then that's a pre-condition on the rendezvous step, but that would prevent all instances of that front levelling up.#
You could pre-create 4 rendezvous items though - a wait for 1, wait for 2, wait for 3 and wait for 4. Then use the flags to select which one things need ot wiat on.
Again - that doesn't help if say 2 are already waiting and a third one suddenly goes to failure so skips ove the "wait for 3" rendezvous.
Within reason, you should have an idea how long a rendezvous takes anyway - use the timeout on the rendezvous step so it will drop out if there's one missing.

Same Batch is allocated for mutiple outbound deliveries

We have a Batch with quantity as 1, but system assigns this batch for more than one outbound delivery while picking. User has to manually remove this batch and select a different batch.
For example, Batch # XYZ was first picked up for delivery for delivery order # 1234 on 26 May. PGI was subsequently done on 30 May. However, now we have 3 different delivery orders (originating from 3 different order numbers) with the same batch numbers of # XYZ. These 3 delivery orders were created on 30 May 2011.
Can anybody help to solve this issue ?

maybe you had more stock of this batch on May 30th.
And the stock was issued internally or corrected by physical inventory.

Batch Creation can be done
- At the time of order creation
- At the time of Order release.
- No auto batch generation at the time order creation/Release.
And that is you can set with T.Code OPKP (Prd. Scheduling Profile).
I don't think there is any such std. setting which will give you facility to generate auto Batch No. after Order release.In this case you have one option and that is create manuall Batch No, by Pressing Create Batch tab in Goods Receipt screen of order.
