Root node query
Hi
Sample Data:
create table mycust(child_id number(30),parent_id number(30));
insert into mycust values(100000059627549,100000059657962);
insert into mycust values(100000059657962,300006133014350);

insert into mycust values(30000350898,13089862675);
commit;
I'm try to form a query that would fetch results in following way (to get the root of each child)
like parent of 10000962675 is 30000350898,whose parent in turn is 13089862675
so I want o/p in format . can someone please suggest

How to Create Instances in the Transient Root Node and Sub Nodes from Root Node Query Method ?
Hi All,
I am Creating a BOPF BO with 3 Nodes,
Node 1) ROOT -- > contains a query,
using Root Node I have created Search UIBB Configuration in FBI.
In testing -- > when i enter Data in the Search Criteria Fields am able to get the details in to the query method
from Imporing parameter : 'IT_SELECTION_PARAMETERS'.
HERE I am fetching data from a standard table and trying to fill the data in the Node : 'MNR_SEARCH_RESULT'.
How to Append data to the Sub node 'MNR_SEARCH_RESULT' when there is no Node instance created in the ROOT Node ?
For This I have created an instance in the ROOT Node and Using that I tried to create Instance in the Sub Node 'MNR_SEARCH_RESULT'.
Below is my code which i have placed in the Query method ..

I am Unable to set data to the Node . I did not get any error message or Dump while executing . when i tried to retrive data I got the details from the node but am unable to view those details in the FBI UI and BOBT UI while testing .
Please provide your valuable Suggestions.
Thanks in Adv.
Thanks ,
Kranthi Kumar M.Hi Kranthi,
For your requirement you need only two nodes. Root Node and Result node. Use the same structure for both.
To create Instance while search.
Create Query method with input type which has the required fields for selection criteria.
Fetch the data and create instance in the root node.
Pass the new instance key as exporting parameter form Query Method.
To Move data from ROOT to Result.
Create a action at root node.
Write a code to create new entries in Result node.
Then configure the Search UIBB and display result in List UIBB. Add button and assign the action MOVE_MAT_2_RESULT.
Create another List uibb to display data from Result node.
Connect the UIBBs using wire schema. SEARCH -> LIST(ROOT) ---> LIST(RESULT).
Give src node association for ROOT to RESULT Configuration.

GRC 10 LDAP query issue at the root node
Hello,
We are unable to do a search based on root node after successful LDAP integration but if we add a particular OU within the base entry then we are able to search the users for that specific OU. Specifying a specific OU is not the right solution as we have different OU for North America, Europe,
Latin America etc. regions. We need to specify the root node so that it will search for all the users in different region. We are getting the below operation failed error when we don't specify OU in the base entry.
Operation failed
Message no. LDAPRC001
Diagnosis
This is an error message that is triggered by the directory server.
It is not possible to analyze the error in the SAP system.
Procedure
Check the log files for the directory server (if they exist), to see if they
contain more information.
Please let us know if you guys have faced this situation and what was the resolution.
Thanks,
Gautam.We just have one LDAP server/connector set-up and it is working fine if we specifiy OU within the base entry along with the domain but it doesn't work if we remove OU and leave the base entry with the root node/domain. I have checked with our Basis team and we have only one forest..going to check with our AD team for the same. Since specifying OU in the base entry is pulling result from Active directory within LDAP t-code in GRC 10 system, I believe everything is fine from LDAP configuration standpoint and also SPRO configuration in GRC 10 system will come into scope when we try to retrive/populate those field in ARQ/CUP configuration in NWBC.
Below is the structure of our AD. If we leave the base entry with the root node/domain (DC=NR,DC=AD,DC=NEWELLCO,DC=COM) then it doesn't work and give the operation failed error message but if we add OU (OU=EMEA,DC=NR,DC=AD,DC=NEWELLCO,DC=COM) along with the root node then it does provide us with the result.
I'm going to follow up with the AD team but let me know if anyone got any ideas to resolve the above error.
Thanks,
Gautam. -
Hello,
I have inserted the following documents into a container:
<root><value>bob</value></root>
<anotherRoot><value>bob</value></anotherRoot>
<anotherRoot><value>bill</value></anotherRoot>
<anotherRoot><value>fred</value></anotherRoot>I am then attempting to construct a query that extracts the right documents based on the root node name in a variable:
qc.setVariableValue('container', XmlValue('test.dbxml'))
qc.setVariableValue('root', XmlValue('anotherRoot'))
collection($container)/$rootHowever, the results I get are rather strange (XmlResult.asString()):
anotherRoot
anotherRoot
anotherRoot
anotherRootAny ideas?Hi,
Not sure what you mean by "works as expected", but I guess it does something different that you think. If you predicate consists of a string variable (and in your case $nodeName is a string), then this predicate will return true if a string has non-zero length.
A quite from the XPath spec:
If its operand is a singleton value of type xs:string, xs:anyURI, xs:untypedAtomic, or a type derived from one of these,
fn:boolean returns false if the operand value has zero length; otherwise it returns true.That's how a boolean value of the predicate is constructed for strings.
So the query:
collection($container)/anotherRoot[$nodeName]just will return all anotherRoot elements given that $nodeName is not an empty string, whereas
collection($container)/anotherRoot[""]
OR
collection($container)/anotherRoot[()]will return zero results
To sum up, a query:
$nodes["string"]will behave exactly as just:
$nodesHope this helps,

How to hide root node of hierarchy?
Hi,
can anyone give me a hint how to hide the root node of a hierarchy?
Thank you very much in advance, best regards
FrankHi Frank,
Another way would be to restrict the hierarchy in the query definition. Select all nodes, except the root. You can do the same in excel and save the query as a view. Of course, you have to maintain this selection every time the hierarchy gets new nodes.

Display Structure Hierarchy (Root node appears below)
Dear Expert,
I have a requirement to create a hierarchy in Query Designer (I cannot use the hierarchy maintained at the infoobject). However, I want to display it as the root node appears below (like the option set at the hierarchy maintenance). Is there any way to do the same thing in Query Designer?
I think the option display Result below can apply to non-hierarchy data only.
ThanksHello,
yes there is an option in QDesigner:
in 7.X:
activate the hierarchy in the hierarchy-tab of the relevant infoobject (->properties). In the same tab you will find an option
"Position of Lower-Level Nodes" -> select "above".
You will have the same option in 3.X QDesigner: -> properties -> activate hierarchy in "Display Hierarchy" and set the option
for "Position of Lower-level Nodes" by clicking on "User Settings" -> select value "up".
Now you should see the parent-nodes below its children.
best regards,

Hi,
I am trying to install ADEP 10 (all modules including Content Services) on JBoss 5.1 through manual/custom (means non turnkey) installation.
I have done the configuration/steps as per the instructions in "adep_prepare_install_single.pdf". I have copied the adobe-contentservices.ear, adobe-livecycle-jboss.ear, adobe-livecycle-native-jboss-x86_win32.ear and adobe-workspace-client.ear to deploy folder of JBoss. Except Content Services every other applications are deployed and running.
we want contentservices is up and running, but are errors related to it.
I see the following error in the JBoss console, please help me to resolve it.

I am installing ADEP 10 newly.
This problem has been resolved .
I removed the folder "lucene-indexes" from below location, the problem resolved.

How do i add a root node to a XMLType
Hi all
I have a problem inserting a root node in a xml document generated by DBMS_XMLGEN.newcontextfromhierarchy. The function get_site_map_nodes generates a document like this:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<siteMapNode f_page_id="1" title="rot" PATH="1">
<siteMapNode f_page_id="2" title="1.1" PATH="1.1">
<siteMapNode f_page_id="4" title="1.1.1" PATH="1.1.1"/>
</siteMapNode>
<siteMapNode f_page_id="3" title="1.2" PATH="1.2"/>
<siteMap/>
</siteMapNode>
This is correct but i want to add a root node so the result shows as below:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<siteMap>
<siteMapNode f_page_id="1" title="rot" PATH="1">
<siteMapNode f_page_id="2" title="1.1" PATH="1.1">
<siteMapNode f_page_id="4" title="1.1.1" PATH="1.1.1"/>
</siteMapNode>
<siteMapNode f_page_id="3" title="1.2" PATH="1.2"/>
<siteMap/>
</siteMapNode>
</siteMap>
The problem is that i have no clue how to accomplish this.
Best regards
Daniel Carlsson

/Please try below steps.
1. Complete Prerequisite for adding cluster node
2. Verify the node is accessible to all other nodes in the cluster. Run the following command from the existing node in the cluster.
cluvfy stage -pre crsinst -n newNode
3. Run cluvfy from any existing node
cluvfy stage -pre nodeadd -n <New Node>
Note : If cluvfy in above step shows any errors fix those and then proceed with this step
4. Change Directory to Clusterware Home and execute addNode scripts from any existing node.
cd $CRS_HOME/oui/bin
./addNode.sh -silent "CLUSTER_NEW_NODES={ <NewNode > } CLUSTER_NEW_PRIVATE_NODE_NAMES={ <Interconnect >} CLUSTER_NEW_VIRTUAL_HOSTNAMES={ < Virtual Host Name >}"
At the end of addNode, script will prompt to run for root.sh on newly added node.
5. Verify Node is successfully added
cluvfy stage -post nodeadd -n <NewNode >
6. Verify CRS Stack is running on the new Node.
$CRS_HOME/bin/crs_stat -t
7. To extend the Oracle RAC Installation to include the new Node, run addNode from $ORACLE_HOME/oui/bin from existing node in the cluster
cd $CRS_HOME/oui/bin
./addNode.sh
When OUI displays the Specify Cluster Nodes to Add to Installation window, select the node to be added, then click Next .
Verify the summary and run root.sh on new node when it prompts.
8. Adding New Instance on the New Node
$CRS_HOME/bin/lsnrctl status
9.Run $ORACLE_HOME/bin/dbca from any of the existing RAC Instances Oracle Home.
Select Oracle Real Application Clusters database , and then click Next .
Select Instance Management , and then click Next .
Select Add an Instance , then click Next .
Click Next to accept default instance name or it can be changed.
Check the summary window.
Note: Please check these steps in test environment first.

How to change icon of a node or root node of a JTree
i have a JTree with a root node, and leaf nodes. i want to change their icons. how can i do this?
thanksHere's a search of the forums with the words 'tree', 'icon' and 'node' in the title
http://onesearch.sun.com/search/developers/index.jsp?and=jtree+icon+node&nh=10&phr=&qt=¬=&field=title&since=&col=devforums&rf=0&Search.x=28&Search.y=15
I looked at a couple and #5 seems interesting, but there are quite a few to choose from. -
How do i get to display the nodes under the root node in a JTree?
In my JTree there is a root node.This root node has 4 child nodes.Each child node in turn has nodes under it.What i need to do is just display the child nodes under the root node i.e., the four child nodes and keep these child nodes in a collapsed state.How do i go sbout this?
Please try this:
tree.expandRow(0);
SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable(){
public void run(){
tree.setRootVisible(false);
});If you want to show the RootHandles:
tree.setShowsRootHandles(true);If you want to keep nodes in collapsed state (not expandable):
tel = new TreeWillExpandListener() {
public void treeWillExpand(TreeExpansionEvent event) throws ExpandVetoException {
throw new ExpandVetoException( event, "Don't want" );
public void treeWillCollapse(TreeExpansionEvent event) throws ExpandVetoException {
tree.addTreeWillExpandListener(tel);Some reading material:

ADF Tree: how to access root node after "Show as Top" selected on sub node
I am currently working on a project that using ADF tree and implementing some search/filter functionality. I need to find the java API calls to get the new root node information after UI user select a sub node in the tree and clicked “show as top"(so search are done only on the current tree. Can someone help on this?
Hi ,
In our project we require to implement ADF menu tree inside <af:menulist>.
We require to show 3-4 child menuitems inside 2 parent menus.
Home
--> Inbox
-->Search
Patient
--> Information
--> Search
Can you please tell steps to implement <af:menutree> to have child menuitems like Inbox, Search inside parent like Home ? I searched on ADF sites but not much of help there.
Thanks

How to handle unknown root node type when parsing?
Hello all, hoping someone knows how to accomplish this...
I'm trying to use XMLBeans to parse RIXML 2.0 documents. This schema allows for
multiple root node types, so I don't know when I'm trying to parse a file if the
root node is a Research node or a Product node, for example. If I try to invoke
parse and there is a type mismatch I get the following error:
com.bea.xml.XmlException: D:\RIXML\V2TestDoc.xml:0: error: The document is not
a Research@http://www.rixml.org/2002/6/RIXML: document element local name mismatch

Exception in thread "main"
So how do I generically handle parsing when I don't know what type of root node
I'm going to get?
Thanks,
JoeHello Joe -- You might try parsing the document as XmlObject (which your
schema-generated types extend). Then you could use an XmlCursor to discover
what the root element's local name is. Something like the following code
might be a way to do it. You could also simply re-parse the document after
discovering its root element name, but that would probably be more
expensive.
XmlObject xml = XmlObject.Factory.parse(mydoc.xml);
XmlCursor cursor = xml.newCursor();

Hello all, hoping someone knows how to accomplish this...
I'm trying to use XMLBeans to parse RIXML 2.0 documents. This schemaallows for
multiple root node types, so I don't know when I'm trying to parse a fileif the
root node is a Research node or a Product node, for example. If I try toinvoke
parse and there is a type mismatch I get the following error:
com.bea.xml.XmlException: D:\RIXML\V2TestDoc.xml:0: error: The document isnot
a Research@http://www.rixml.org/2002/6/RIXML: document element local name

So how do I generically handle parsing when I don't know what type of rootnode
I'm going to get?
Thanks,

Hi,
I have the following issue when deploying:
Solution Deployment : Missing one or more of the following attributes from the root node in solution .wsp: assembly '', type ''
The solution is a farm solution (was never sandbox) and it deploys fine.
It was updated several times with success. We did not see this issue until recently when we had some other issue (unrelated) and looked at the logs. The solution is updated without problem and updates are available for the user. But we can see this error
in the logs at the update time.
Any idea what might cause this?
Pop AnisiaHi,
This error is wide meaning, as it can come from differences between SP versions, variables types used, bad manifest file, WebConfiguration ...
You can try to redeploy the solution.
retracted the solution,removed all the previous ref, removed dll from GAC and folder from 14\features and reset the iis, deploying it again.
Here are some similar issue post, you can use as a reference:

In additional, you can check the ULS log (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS) to get the detailed information.
I hope this helpful.

JTREE: Custom TreeModel does not update non-root nodes
I have a JTree that uses a custom TreeModel that wraps over (delegates to) a data class X which keeps track of all its children. The class X maintains its own data structure internally (references to other data objects). It also implements 'equals' and 'hashcode' methods. When the data changes in X, it invokes fireTreeStructureChanged on the TreeModel. (There is a TreeModelListener registered with the TreeModel). This works very well for the root node but not for the other non-root nodes. The JTree correctly calls 'equals' and I can see that equals returns 'false' but for non-root nodes the JTree does not refresh though I can see the underlying data structure has changed.
I am wondering if I may not have fully & correctly implemented fireTreeStructureChanged as it doesn't seem to do much. Or I may be looking at the wrong place. Any pointers would be appreciated.
BTW, this question is very similar to one asked years earlier http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=153854 but it didn't help me :(
Thanks.
ps: working with jdk1.6.0_06 on WinXP.I have a same problem. I got an error "Cannot Update Libray".

XPath for root node in condition editor
Hi,
I have a HTTP to IDOC scenario. I have to accept any incoming document,(i will know only at runtime whether it is ORDERS or INVOICE or ASN etc) and post it to the respective receiver based on what is the name of the root node. But how do i specify this in the condition editor? if i give /* or name(/*) it does not work.Can anyone suggest a solution for this?
Thanks
ShakthiWell I have one solution but don't konw if it is worth for you.
First create one mapping called pre_mapping in this mapping map all fields and the root node value to the target structure correspondingly . Now use BPM with simple receive & send steps. BPM should send the message back to XI.
Use the final mapping with this messge retuned from BPM.
Now use the x-path and select the field from source structre (which BPM has sent back to XI) which contains IDOC type. So in this case your sender system will be BPM.
