XmlValue for root node

Hello,
I have inserted the following documents into a container:
<root><value>bob</value></root>
<anotherRoot><value>bob</value></anotherRoot>
<anotherRoot><value>bill</value></anotherRoot>
<anotherRoot><value>fred</value></anotherRoot>I am then attempting to construct a query that extracts the right documents based on the root node name in a variable:
qc.setVariableValue('container', XmlValue('test.dbxml'))
qc.setVariableValue('root', XmlValue('anotherRoot'))
collection($container)/$rootHowever, the results I get are rather strange (XmlResult.asString()):
anotherRoot
anotherRoot
anotherRoot
anotherRootAny ideas?

Hi,
Not sure what you mean by "works as expected", but I guess it does something different that you think. If you predicate consists of a string variable (and in your case $nodeName is a string), then this predicate will return true if a string has non-zero length.
A quite from the XPath spec:
If its operand is a singleton value of type xs:string, xs:anyURI, xs:untypedAtomic, or a type derived from one of these,
  fn:boolean returns false if the operand value has zero length; otherwise it returns true.That's how a boolean value of the predicate is constructed for strings.
So the query:
collection($container)/anotherRoot[$nodeName]just will return all anotherRoot elements given that $nodeName is not an empty string, whereas
collection($container)/anotherRoot[""]
OR
collection($container)/anotherRoot[()]will return zero results
To sum up, a query:
$nodes["string"]will behave exactly as just:
$nodesHope this helps,
Vyacheslav

  • XPath for root node in condition editor

    Hi,
    I have a HTTP to IDOC scenario. I have to accept any incoming document,(i will know only at runtime whether it is ORDERS or INVOICE or ASN etc) and post it to the respective receiver based on what is the name of the root node. But how do i specify this in the condition editor? if i give /* or name(/*) it does not work.Can anyone suggest a solution for this?
    Thanks
    Shakthi

    Well I have one solution but don't konw if it is worth for you.
    First create one mapping called pre_mapping in this mapping map all fields and the root node value to the target structure correspondingly . Now use BPM with simple receive & send steps. BPM should send the message back to XI.
    Use the final mapping with this messge retuned from BPM.
    Now use the x-path and select the field from source structre (which BPM has sent back to XI) which contains IDOC type. So in this case your sender system will be BPM.

  • HGrid hide the Action icon for Root Node

    Hi,
    I have a Hgrid developed. It contains a column called "Action" against all the nodes. I need to hide this icon only for the Root Node. Can anyone please suggest a solution?
    Thanks in Advance!
    Cheers.,
    Hem

    You can use a switcher (Icon and messageStyledText) or SPEL (rendered true or false) to resolve this issue. You can add a additional attribute in your VO which controls the SPEL rendered property of the icon or provides a case value for the switcher.

  • How to change a generated root node for a hierarchy?

    Hello,
    we are loading hierarchies from an ECC system. Some of those hierarchies don't have a root node in the source system.
    For those hierarchies, the root node is generated during the loading. This node is generated in english (ie : FUNDS CENTER HIERARCHY for fund centers). Is there a way to change the description and the technical name of this node to have it in another language.
    We have tryied to change the language of ALEREMOTE in BI but it did not solve this problem.
    Thanks,
    Philippe

    Hi Simon,
    the language that triggered the loading was french.
    BI Learner,
    - to create a custom hierarchy in a BI system, you can use RSH1 transaction.
    - if you want to load it from a SAP source system, you can use standard datasource provided in the business content (usually named *_HIER)
    -if you need to load it from a flat file, you can follow the steps of this blog, it will help you:
    Hierarchy Upload from Flat files
    you can have more information about hierarchies on the help.sap web site :

  • PCOLL_CONTROL, PCST_TXN,...What are these objects? JBO-28039:Root node for collection

    I've a UIX JSP Application with BC4J developed with JDeveloper RC.
    I noted that in my schema there are these "strange" db objects:
    PCOLL_CONTROL
    PCST_MYPACKAGEMODULE_SEQ
    PCST_MyPackageModule
    PCST_TXN
    PCST_TXN_SEQ
    Can anyone explain what are they or where can I find documentation about them ?
    When and why Jdev create them ?
    Beside some people that use my application got the following Error:
    "JBO-28039: Root node for collection TXN of id -1 is invalid......".
    I think that it's connected with the objects listed above.
    Has someone experienced this problem ?
    thank you
    Isabella

    Could you provide more information regarding this issue:
    1. When you mention that some people that use your application receive the exception do you mean that the
    exception is thrown from the application and displayed to the user or do you mean that the exception is simply logged
    in the Diagnostic output? The latter may be expected in some scenarios.
    2. Could you provide a full stack trace for the exception?
    3. Could you provide the BC4J diagnostic output generated when the exception occurs (specify the VM switch
    -Djbo.debugoutput=console at the command line)?
    Thanks,

  • Multiple Antennas for 1300 root node

    Hello everyone.
    Is it possible to run two antennas from a 1300? We have three sites that we need to connect (one root node, point-to-multipoint). All 1300s would run in bridge mode. We are curious if the root node would need two antennas to receive signal from two 1300s in bridge mode (the non-root nodes are well outside the area of one antenna).
    AP(BR)<->{AntA <|rootAP|> AntB}<->AP(BR)
    Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
    Tim

    No, two directional antennas would only confuse things. For systems with two antenna jacks per band, only one antenna is active at a time (for 'Diversity' - reduces the chance of multipath and nulls).
    The most common way would be to put a single omnidirectional antenna at the root site, then directional antennas (yagis or parabolics) at the hub sites (aimed at the omni).
    Good Luck

  • How do i add a root node to a XMLType

    Hi all
    I have a problem inserting a root node in a xml document generated by DBMS_XMLGEN.newcontextfromhierarchy. The function get_site_map_nodes generates a document like this:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <siteMapNode f_page_id="1" title="rot" PATH="1">
    <siteMapNode f_page_id="2" title="1.1" PATH="1.1">
    <siteMapNode f_page_id="4" title="1.1.1" PATH="1.1.1"/>
    </siteMapNode>
    <siteMapNode f_page_id="3" title="1.2" PATH="1.2"/>
    <siteMap/>
    </siteMapNode>
    This is correct but i want to add a root node so the result shows as below:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <siteMap>
    <siteMapNode f_page_id="1" title="rot" PATH="1">
    <siteMapNode f_page_id="2" title="1.1" PATH="1.1">
    <siteMapNode f_page_id="4" title="1.1.1" PATH="1.1.1"/>
    </siteMapNode>
    <siteMapNode f_page_id="3" title="1.2" PATH="1.2"/>
    <siteMap/>
    </siteMapNode>
    </siteMap>
    The problem is that i have no clue how to accomplish this.
    Best regards

    Please try below steps.
    1. Complete Prerequisite for adding cluster node
    2. Verify the node is accessible to all other nodes in the cluster. Run the following command from the existing node in the cluster.
    cluvfy stage -pre crsinst -n newNode
    3. Run cluvfy from any existing node
    cluvfy stage -pre nodeadd -n <New Node>
    Note : If cluvfy in above step shows any errors fix those and then proceed with this step
    4. Change Directory to Clusterware Home and execute addNode scripts from any existing node.
    cd $CRS_HOME/oui/bin
    ./addNode.sh -silent "CLUSTER_NEW_NODES={ <NewNode > } CLUSTER_NEW_PRIVATE_NODE_NAMES={ <Interconnect >} CLUSTER_NEW_VIRTUAL_HOSTNAMES={ < Virtual Host Name >}"
    At the end of addNode, script will prompt to run for root.sh on newly added node.
    5. Verify Node is successfully added
    cluvfy stage -post nodeadd -n <NewNode >
    6. Verify CRS Stack is running on the new Node.
    $CRS_HOME/bin/crs_stat -t
    7. To extend the Oracle RAC Installation to include the new Node, run addNode from $ORACLE_HOME/oui/bin from existing node in the cluster
    cd $CRS_HOME/oui/bin
    ./addNode.sh
    When OUI displays the Specify Cluster Nodes to Add to Installation window, select the node to be added, then click Next .
    Verify the summary and run root.sh on new node when it prompts.
    8. Adding New Instance on the New Node
    $CRS_HOME/bin/lsnrctl status
    9.Run $ORACLE_HOME/bin/dbca from any of the existing RAC Instances Oracle Home.
    Select Oracle Real Application Clusters database , and then click Next .
    Select Instance Management , and then click Next .
    Select Add an Instance , then click Next .
    Click Next to accept default instance name or it can be changed.
    Check the summary window.
    Note: Please check these steps in test environment first.

    Thanks ,
    Kranthi Kumar M.

    Hi Kranthi,
    For your requirement you need only two nodes. Root Node and Result node. Use the same structure for both.
    To create Instance while search.
    Create Query method with input type which has the required fields for selection criteria.
    Fetch the data and create instance in the root node.
    Pass the new instance key as exporting parameter form Query Method.
    To Move data from ROOT to Result.
    Create a action at root node.
    Write a code to create new entries in Result node.
    Then configure the Search UIBB and display result in List UIBB. Add button and assign the action MOVE_MAT_2_RESULT.
    Create another List uibb to display data from Result node.
    Connect the UIBBs using wire schema. SEARCH -> LIST(ROOT) ---> LIST(RESULT).
    Give src node association for ROOT to RESULT Configuration.

    Sunil

    Hello Joe -- You might try parsing the document as XmlObject (which your
    schema-generated types extend). Then you could use an XmlCursor to discover
    what the root element's local name is. Something like the following code
    might be a way to do it. You could also simply re-parse the document after
    discovering its root element name, but that would probably be more
    expensive.
    XmlObject xml = XmlObject.Factory.parse(mydoc.xml);
    XmlCursor cursor = xml.newCursor();
    cursor.toFirstContentToken();
    if (cursor.getName().getLocalPart().equals("Research"))
    // cast the XmlObject to your ResearchDocument type and use it.
    else if (cursor.getName().getLocalPart().equals("Product"))
    // cast the XmlObject to your ProductDocument type and use it.
    cursor.dispose();

    The solution is a farm solution (was never sandbox) and it deploys fine.
    It was updated several times with success. We did not see this issue until recently when we had some other issue (unrelated) and looked at the logs. The solution is updated without problem and updates are available for the user. But we can see this error
    in the logs at the update time.
    Any idea what might cause this?
    Pop Anisia

    Hi,
    This error is wide meaning, as it can come from differences between SP versions, variables types used, bad manifest file, WebConfiguration ...
    You can try to redeploy the solution.
    retracted the solution,removed all the previous ref, removed dll from GAC and folder from 14\features and reset the iis, deploying it again.
    Here are some similar issue post, you can use as a reference:

    In additional, you can check the ULS log (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS) to get the detailed information.
    I hope this helpful.

  • JTREE: Custom TreeModel does not update non-root nodes

    I have a JTree that uses a custom TreeModel that wraps over (delegates to) a data class X which keeps track of all its children. The class X maintains its own data structure internally (references to other data objects). It also implements 'equals' and 'hashcode' methods. When the data changes in X, it invokes fireTreeStructureChanged on the TreeModel. (There is a TreeModelListener registered with the TreeModel). This works very well for the root node but not for the other non-root nodes. The JTree correctly calls 'equals' and I can see that equals returns 'false' but for non-root nodes the JTree does not refresh though I can see the underlying data structure has changed.
    I am wondering if I may not have fully & correctly implemented fireTreeStructureChanged as it doesn't seem to do much. Or I may be looking at the wrong place. Any pointers would be appreciated.
    BTW, this question is very similar to one asked years earlier http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=153854 but it didn't help me :(
    Thanks.
    ps: working with jdk1.6.0_06 on WinXP.

    I have a same problem. I got an error "Cannot Update Libray".

  • Binding properties of a root node and using fx:include.

    I posted a downloadable example of this here:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8788282/binding-test.zip
    I've noticed some understandable, but less than perfect behaviour with the way FXML initialization is done when using fx:include.  I find it's difficult to bind properties that belong to the root node of the included view without shooting yourself in the proverbial foot.  Here is an example of what I mean:
    sample.Main
    package sample;
    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.fxml.FXMLLoader;
    import javafx.scene.Parent;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    public class Main extends Application {
        @Override
        public void start(Stage primaryStage) throws Exception {
            Parent root = FXMLLoader.load(getClass().getResource("MainView.fxml"));
            primaryStage.setTitle("Hello World");
            primaryStage.setScene(new Scene(root, 300, 275));
            primaryStage.show();
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            launch(args);
    sample.MainController
    package sample;
    import javafx.fxml.FXML;
    public class MainController {
        @FXML
        void initialize() {
            System.out.println("MainController initialized.");
    sample.MainView (FXML)
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <?import javafx.scene.control.Label?>
    <?import javafx.scene.layout.*?>
    <AnchorPane prefHeight="200.0" prefWidth="200.0"
                xmlns:fx="http://javafx.com/fxml/1"
                xmlns="http://javafx.com/javafx/2.2"
                fx:controller="sample.MainController">
        <children>
            <VBox prefHeight="200.0" prefWidth="200.0" AnchorPane.bottomAnchor="0.0"
                  AnchorPane.leftAnchor="0.0" AnchorPane.rightAnchor="0.0"
                  AnchorPane.topAnchor="0.0">
                <children>
                    <Label text="Main"/>
                    <StackPane prefHeight="150.0" prefWidth="200.0"/>
                    <fx:include fx:id="sub" source="SubView.fxml" visible="false"/>
                </children>
            </VBox>
        </children>
    </AnchorPane>
    sample.SubController
    package sample;
    import javafx.beans.binding.Bindings;
    import javafx.fxml.FXML;
    import javafx.scene.control.Label;
    import javafx.scene.layout.AnchorPane;
    public class SubController {
        @FXML
        private AnchorPane anchorPane;
        @FXML
        private Label label;
        @FXML
        void initialize() {
            label.visibleProperty().bind(Bindings.createBooleanBinding(() -> true));
            /* When used as part of an fx:include, this controller's initialize()
             * block is called and the below binding is performed.  After that, any
             * property values set via the containing view (MainView) are applied.
             * In this example, the MainView attempts to set the visible property
             * of this included view (fx:id="sub").  Since the visible property of
             * the root node (anchorPane) has already been bound, the error
             * "A bound value cannot be set." is given.
            anchorPane.visibleProperty().bind(Bindings.createBooleanBinding(() -> true));
            System.out.println("SubController initialized.");
    sample.SubView (FXML)
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <?import javafx.scene.control.Label?>
    <?import javafx.scene.layout.*?>
    <AnchorPane id="AnchorPane" fx:id="anchorPane" maxHeight="-Infinity"
                maxWidth="-Infinity" minHeight="-Infinity" minWidth="-Infinity"
                prefHeight="400.0" prefWidth="600.0"
                xmlns:fx="http://javafx.com/fxml/1"
                xmlns="http://javafx.com/javafx/2.2"
                fx:controller="sample.SubController">
        <children>
            <VBox prefHeight="400.0" prefWidth="600.0" AnchorPane.bottomAnchor="0.0"
                  AnchorPane.leftAnchor="0.0" AnchorPane.rightAnchor="0.0"
                  AnchorPane.topAnchor="0.0">
                <children>
                    <Label fx:id="label" text="sub view"/>
                </children>
            </VBox>
        </children>
    </AnchorPane>
    The comments in the initialize method of SubController explain what's happening.  I found it a bit confusing until I figured out what was going on.  Should FXMLLoader be checking to see if a property is already bound before trying to set it, at least for nodes declared via fx:include?

    Hi Gaurave,
    We need to show the report like this to some users, thats what the requirement is. Using the Posted nodes option does not help.
    Thanks.

  • Grabbing the elements from the XML root node

    Hello,  I haven't worked with XML in over a year and I didn't use it much then.  I'm trying to remember the best way to get the values from the root note (not child nodes).
    For instance, in the following xml, I want the timestamp and the messageID from stumessages.
    I can't recall if you are supposed to use xmlsearch or something else.  I know how to grab the child nodes (for some reason, that part was easier to recall).
    <cfsavecontent variable="XMLFile"><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE stuMessages SYSTEM "http://cody.glpconnect.com/DTD/StuMessage_Rev6.dtd">

    Hello,
    I figured it out.
    I figured I would update my post in case anyone else was curious.
    I just need to add the following two lines into the code to expose the elements of the root node.
        <cfset timeStamp = MyXMLDoc.stuMessages.XmlAttributes.timeStamp>
        <cfset messageid = MyXMLDoc.stuMessages.XmlAttributes.messageID>
    The full code follows
    <!--- Set the XML to a XML parsed variable we can use --->
    <cfset MyXMLDoc = xmlParse(XMLFile) />
    <!--- Dump the XML --->
    <h2>Dump</h2>
    <!--- <cfdump var="#MyXMLDoc#"> --->
    <!--- Get all Message Nodes --->
    <cfset messageNodes = xmlSearch(MyXMLDoc,'/stuMessages/stuMessage')>
    <cfoutput>
        <cfset timeStamp = MyXMLDoc.stuMessages.XmlAttributes.timeStamp>
        <cfset messageid = MyXMLDoc.stuMessages.XmlAttributes.messageID>
        #timeStamp#<br />
        #messageid#<br />
        <h2>Message Nodes</h2>
        <cfloop from="1" to="#arraylen(messageNodes)#" index="i">
            <!--- The array contents need to parsed so you can easily get at the child nodes children and attributes. --->
            <cfset messageXML = xmlparse(messageNodes[i]) />

            <b>unixTime:</b> #messageXML.stuMessage.unixTime.xmlText#<br>
            <b>gps:</b> #messageXML.stuMessage.gps.xmlText#<br>
            <b>payload:</b> #messageXML.stuMessage.payload.xmlText#<br><br>
        </cfloop>

  • Lining up root node and child nodes in JTree

    I have a JTree that has a root node and n child nodes. There are no sub-levels - it is structured just like AOL instant messenger. What I want to do is have the child node icons line up directly under the root nodes text. For example (if you can read this), where "-" denotes the icon:
    - root
    - child
    - child
    Currently it is something like this:
    - root
    - child
    - child
    I have been messing with the setLeftChildIndent( int ) and setRightChildIndent( int ), but they are not doing much...they seem to not want to only move the leaf nodes but all of the nodes, so its not doing exactly what I want.
    Any ideas? In the meantime I'll be looking more into how exactly those indent mutators work.
    Thanks!

    What you want is to do a setRootVisible(false) on the JTree.
    All your child nodes are then your "root level" folders.
    tree.setRootVisible(true):
    +root
    +--child1
    +--child2
    +--child3
    +----child3a
    +----child3btree.setRootVisible(false):
    +child1
    +child2
    +child3
    +--child3a
    +--child3b
