RosettaNet DTD

I saw the messages about reading a node in a RossetaNet xml doc.
Question I have is is the DTD needed to read the node using XPath?
I suppose what I am reaching for here is what purpose does a DTD serve other than to validate the document?

XML failing with Rosettanet DTD

Hi,
We are using a PIP5D5 xml message for an interface. This message is structurally defined as per the DTD provided in the Rosettanet standards. But for some segments where multiples are allowed, we are trying to use an attribute to distinguish each segment from other. (For Ex. <PartnerBusinessIdentification Type = "One">. )This new xml with attributes when verified against the dtd is failing with error, The element has no declaration for an attibute named 'Type'.
Is the usage of attributes invalid if you want to create a message as per Rosettanet standards? If so, how can we distinguish a segment when multiple occurences can be there?

B2B-51566 Description: Parse stream error with RosettaNet 1.1

Need help with the following error message
B2B-51566 Parse stream error
We have a trading partner set up to use RosettaNet 1.1 protocol and we are getting 51566 error. We are NOT experiencing this error with a trading partner who is in RosettaNet 2.0
we are currently patched up to 11.1.1.5
One thing I notice is when i go to the message and open the packed message i get this "Cannot display Packed Message in binary format."

I will email you the wire messageI saw the wire message you mailed across. There are some junk characters in the starting of the payload and that's why parsing is failing. Most probably it is a BOM (Byte Order Mark). Ask your TP to send messages in UTF-8 encoding without BOM or any other junk character in the starting of the message. You may open the wire message payload you mailed across in notepad or textpad and you will able to see those junk characters in the starting of the payload.

Creating RosettaNet data types in XI 2.0: 'xml:lang' attribute

Has anybody successfully created a RosettaNet interface in XI 2.0?
I am working with the PIP 3A2 messages, but some of the elements have an attribute named 'xml:lang', which is a standardized attribute from the W3C's XML namespace. The attribute name is declared as 'xml:lang' because it's still a DTD-based PIP. Normally, in schema, this is handled by declaring an import of the xml.xsd file provided by W3C and defining the namespace alias 'xml' to point to it in the RosettaNet schema. The xml.xsd provided by W3C boils down to the following declaration, to support 'xml:lang' as an attribute...

I'm trying to create this interface in the XI 2.0 data type editor, but...
1. I can't create attributes as standalone data types in alternate namespaces (to simulate the declarations in W3C's xml.xsd).
2. I can't link a standalone attribute declaration from another namespace to an attribute in the editor.
3. The editor prohibits use of a colon in the attribute name (as it should), so I can't declare the attribute name to be 'xml:lang'.
4. I can't figure out how to control the addition of a new namespace alias to 'xml'. The editor wants to use default names like 'p0' when I bring in types from other namespaces.
Can anyone suggest where I should look for an answer?

Rosettanet Buyer scenario on RNIF11 PIP3A4 version 2.00

HI,
We are setting up the PIP3A4 scenario ( SAP as a buyer ) with a partner. We have all the RosettaNet content imported. This content provides us with PIP3A4 V2_02 definition and R/3 mapping )
However, our partner is not on version 2_02 but still on version PIP3A4 2_00.
I have copied the standard content in an own SWVC and made an additional mapping step that will convert the version 2_02 into 2_00.
I can do the same for the incoming confirmation message.
I have some doubts however for signal messages ( receipt acknowledgement and receipt acknowledgement exception )
-Are these handled fully internally in the adapter itself ? ( as I see no content related to inbound/outbound signals )
-Are the signals ( e.g. receipt ack sent by the partner ) verified versus a schema/dtd file ?
-If yes, then what version is used for this messages
-Can we customize this versions as I will be receiving version 2_00 signals from partner and not version 2_02
-If we upload a PIP3A4 from Rosettanet as an external definition for a version that is not available, should we then load into SWVC RosettaNet as well ? As there seems to be 'naming' restriction so that RNIF adapter will recognize PIP messages
( Now I did in my own SWVC )

Hi Hannan,
Rnif Ack also called technical signal is processed automatically, it does not require any interfaces or directory config. It is part of RNIF protocol.
You can see in the Message Monitoring in Details tab of successfully send message if your partner send Receipt ACK. Last message in the log will tell you the status.
There is nothing in the SXMB_MONI that indicates if Rnif ack was received or not.

Four DTD's into one message

I have to create one message, but I do not have one single format, but four DTD's which have to put together.
My scenario in detail: I have to create a RosettaNet-Message for communication with my business partner, but since we have only a few per year, it is not really reasonable to pay the licence for the RosettaNet adapter.
Our business partner provided DTD's for preamble, service header, delivery header and PIP3A4. I implemented this scenario in business connector some years ago, where I 'glued' the DTD's into one string. This works.
Now I want to migrate this interface to XI, but how ?

If I create a new external definition combining the four, I need to create a root element, which is not anymore a message according to RosettaNet standards.
Am I wrong ?

1)First you need to identify which Rosettanet PIP messages your are going to use,identify and download the PIP messages from rosettanet org,already different version dtds available ,download the DTDs with version what you looking for.
2)Identify the who is the receiver , how to transform thsi structure in tro receiver format,you already have any standas receiver formats use it like IDocs(id your receiver is SAP ).
3)Thenu use Rosettanet adapter to read the message.
remaining steps all are same,refer any sample scenario,you wil understand.

with the weblogic-ejb-jar.dtd file. Now I'm having problems opening the jar files
when starting the RosettaNet Enabler. The jar files are the Service Pack 1 files
for Collaborate 1.0. Again, has anyone ever gotten the RosettaNet plugin working?

B2B RosettaNet Rcpt Ack and Excp throws error "Unable to read the preamble"

Hello All,
We have configured a 2 way PIP Config and we are able to succesfully transfer the paload to the TP.
But when receiving the Ackowledgement and Exception, we are getting error "B2B-51705 Unable to read the preamble"
Can anyone help me on this

B2B RosettaNet incoming messages throws error "Unable to read the preamble"

Hi,
We have configured Oracle B2B to send Invoices to TP using Rosettanet V2.0.
The incoming message are coming to B2B server via DMZ running apache HTTP server. We have security certificates installed on DMZ and has shared the public key with the TP.
TP has shared public key which we have installed on SOA server keystore.
We are able to see incoming messages in "Wire Message" tab, but the status is "processing". The SOA log file shows the error "Unable to read the preamble".
Any suggestion on this really appreciated.

The configuration that we have here is -
Outbound
SOA -> <Firewall> TP
Inbound
TP -> DMZ(SSL Enabled) -> FIREWALL -> SOA Server
SOA server is SSL enabled too, but the communication between DMZ and SOA has been configured on HTTP (non SSL). We shared the public key of DMZ server with the TP.

How to use my own DTD and table using the XML SQL utility.

Here is my question. I have succesfully installed Oracle XML SQL utility and I had played around on that. Now I have my own DTD that too from Rosettanet(PIP). Tell me how can I use my own table, and my dtd using the existing utility. What are all the changes do I need to do. I am strugling it from past 4 days. I couldn't. Please help me!

Yes, the SQL can be changed only by using Discoverer Administrator.
Open the report/workbook that is based on the custom SQL that you want to change in Discoverer Plus. Look at the Folder that is being used to select the columns of the report.
Open up the Discoverer Administrator with the id that has access to the tables referenced in the report. And the custom folder with the same name as in Disc Plus would be listed down in the Business Area (Which Business Area the custom folder belongs to can be determined with the help of disc plus).
Just open up that folder, and change the SQL in it. You can pasted your new sql in there and click on Validate SQL to validate it for errors. If no errors, then the custom folder is successfully changed.
In order to have it reflected, close your existing disc plus session and reopen it, and you can go about using the custom folder.

2) How to handle PIP 0A1 on HOST system. (This system is waiting for PO Acknowledment, How to configure to handle PO Ack and PIP 0A1)

1) How to send PIP 0A1 to trading partner. Is any sample PIP 0A1 xml available.You may generate a sample XML from PIP0A1 XSD/DTD using any XML editor or JDeveloper. You may use Oracle B2B document editor to generate PIP 0A1 XSD.
2) How to handle PIP 0A1 on HOST system. (This system is waiting for PO Acknowledment, How to configure to handle PO Ack and PIP 0A1)Configure the PIP 0A1 document and create an agreement for it (same as any other RosettaNet doc). At runtime B2B will automatically correlate it with corresponding request and process it accordingly.

How can i use one dtd inside another dtd

Hello friends,
I have read some where that one DTD can be imported into another DTD but idont remember how to do it.
My question is suppose we have a DTD say xyz.dtd and i am writing a new DTD say abc.dtd, and lets assume that in abc.dtd i have to declare some of the elements of xyz.dtd, so iwant to import xyz.dtd into abc.dtd.
Can anybody please give me a solution for this.

XML validation with DTD in java 1.5 not supporting

Hi,
I am facing a problem regarding validation of xml file with DTD tag in it.
I have disabled the parser through setValidating(false) method.
xml file is not parsed in JRE 1.5.but it is parsed in JRE 1.6.
Why this is showing such a behavior?
I have used xerces 2.9.0,xml-api.jar and other jar regarding XML api but still it is giving error.
please help me.
please provide a jar file name or its issue resolution in jre 1.5 or 1.4.

I required that it should be completely disabled in jre 1.5(jdk1.5 or 1.4).
I am using DOM Parsing.I have currently disabled with follwowing method,

in 1.6 it is working fine but I required that i have to disabled it.but it is giving a error in jre1.5.
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.AbstractMethodError: javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory.setFeature(Ljava/lang/String;Z)V
I just want to disable the parsing in jdk version 1.5 or 1.4

How to use pre-defined scenarios for RosettaNet with XI 3.0

Hi all.
   I am working in Comgroup Shanghai co. ltd. which is partner of SAP China.
   We have a potential customer who use RosettaNet as their Supply Chain EDI system.
   I would like to make a demo for demostrate the pre-defined scenarios for RosettaNet RNIF 2.0 packages.
   Where can I find such guideline ? I have checked the article: implementing RosettaNet with XI 3.0, but it cannot help me.
   Another question is how I can develop my own scenarios for the RNIF standards which are not included in XI RosettaNet business package ?

See the instructions below after you installed the RosettaNet STK.
Below given is the sample config for PIP3B2 Scenario. Part I is using STK and Part II is using 2 XI systems.
<b>Part I. Test Using STK</b>
In your XI ID:
1) Define both the parties 1) Shipper(Your Partner) 2) Receiver(Your company) with identifiers like DUNS Number.
2) In ID goto>Tools>Transfer Integration Scenarios from IR-->select the scenario "PIP3B2_Receiver" from the drop down list.
3) Follow the 4 steps in the config wizard.
4) While creating your CC, create it from the channel template delivered with the RosettaNet BP.
   4.1) Specify the URL for STK which should be in the following format
http://<STK Server>:<port>/rosettanet/servlet/listenerServlet?userId=<Party Name>
   4.2)In the location fields, enter your location and your partner location.
In your STK
1) Start the RosettaNet STK.
2) enter the UserID<Partner Name in XI>
3) Select the Test Scenario, 3B2V01.01-AdvanceShipmentNotification-0001-Scenario-Shipper
4) Enter Global Business ID(DUNS Number) and Location ID for both the partners. These fields should be same as in your R/3 Party configuration.
5) Enter the URL as follows:
http://<XI Server:<J2EE_Port>/MessagingSystem/receive/RNIFAdapter/RNIF
If everything is configured correctly as mentioned, you should be able to test your single-action scenario.
<b>Part II Test using another XI System</b>
For these follow the steps above for XI Config.
Configure one XI System as PIP3B2 Shipper using the Scenario "PIP3B2_Shipper" and config wizard as mentioned above.
Configure the other XI as PIP3B2 Receiver using the scenario "PIP3B2_Receiver" and config wizard.
In the Url field, specify the URL as follows:
http://<XI host>:<J2EE_Port>/MessagingSystem/receive/RNIFAdapter/RNIF
