Rotating or Looping Imagesveralimage

Working in CS4.
I want to have several images change from one another every 5 seconds or so on a loop on my web page. I have read in some places to use the Swap Image function in DW and other places that say that wont work and to use java script I get off the web. Can you not just create an animated GIF file in Photoshop with the images and use that? What is the best, most sound way to go about this?

Option #1 Build your slideshow in Flash
Option #2 Use one of serveral jQuery Slideshow plug-ins
http://www.geeksucks.com/toolbox/23-jquery-fade-in-fade-out-effect.htm
Option #3 make an animated GIF
The advantage of Option #2 is that you can change the images in DW whenever you want to without refactoring the entire project in an outside application.

  • HOW can i rotate the loop as many lines of multi line container in BPM

    Hi All
    I have to send an idoc to 2 Receivers by spliting the message.
    Based on the occurance of a particular source segments i need to create those many instance of targets.
    IDOC ---> Rec1 (More than one message instance)
         ---> Rec2  (More than one message instance)
    I have taken messages of Receiver into a multi line container1
    and messages of Receiver 2 into another multi line container2.
    HOW can i rotate the loop as many lines of multi line container.
    Thans
    Prasad

    Hi Raj
    There are two webservices are 2 receivers.
    In the idoc there is specific segment , which occurs unbounded,Each occurence we Need to check the value of a particual field and send to corresponding Receiver.
    For Ex:
    ZE1KONH (1..Unbounded)
       >MSFGN =004 --> Rec1
      >> MSFGN==0009 Rec2
    It could be like , 1 or more segm for Rec1 and 1 or more segm for Rec2
                            all are for Rec1 or All are for Rec2.
    so in the tranformation we need to put all message of Rec1 in corresponding multiline container as well for Rec2. Then i need to send to correspongind Receiver.
    So here i need to send all splited messages to appropriate receivers

  • PM Reports: Need to find the sum of a particular field in the output.

    Hello Experts,
                          I have an issue. I have developed the report to calculate the power per ton. It is PM module.
    Input is : DATE & Measuring Point.
    Output required is : For a particular date , What is the power consumed per ton.
    Its is calculated by the formula Power consumed per day /  Production.
    I have multiple entries for production ( because different material are used )  per date and a single entery for power (because power is taken as total power consumed per day)
    Hence im getting the output as
    For example:
    date                power            production         power/ton
    01.03.2011      5000                    100                  50.00
    01.03.2011      5000                      50                 100.00
    01.03.2011      5000                      25                 200.00
    01.03.2011      5000                      75                  66.66
    The desired result is
    date                power            production         power/ton
    01.03.2011      5000                    250                  20.00
    I need to sum the production field.
    How can I achieve this ?
    Please help.

    Hello
    Rotate the loop and use event so on change just clear the variable based date condition .
    take 2  temp variable for summation
    clearing the total and moving value on permanent variable means modifying the itab.
    loop at .
    *Clear
    on change <datefield>.
    modify itab from wa  transporting <field name> .
    clear <total field>.
    endon.
    *Total
    t_prd  = t_prd + production..
    t_power = t_power + power .
    endloop.

  • Colored circles appearing into view using an expression instead of keyframes?

    Hello and thank you for your time,
    I'll explain this as simply as I can,
    I have a comp where a satelite is orbiting the Earth (the Earth is my comp space). The Earth is also in rotating but much slower. The satelite is one comp, and the Earth rotating is another comp. The orbiting satelite is looped, the Earth comp is rotating is looped - all is good there.
    Everytime the satelite makes a complete orbit around the Earth, at a specfic point on the comp space of my choosing, I would like to add a colored circle. So it would look like that circle appears into view.
    So the colored cirlce would appear into view, onto the comp (Earth) and follow the slow and gradual rotation of the Earth as it moves from left to right. The satelite would continue to orbit fast.
    However I would like to perform this action of "add coloured circle onto Earth" perhaps 100's of times and at specific points.
    The most important challenge here is : how can I perform this action using expressions so that I do not have to keyframe hundreds of colored circles appearing into view one at a time?
    The second important thing is : how can I position these colored circles in a specfic pattern laid out over the Earth and not in a random fashion?
    Thanks again!
    D

    Simply add the circles in the 2D texture or a separate comp synced to your Earth and make it a spehjre by using yet one more instance of CC Sphere. The timing could certainly be worked out using expressions based on the longitude/ latitude coordinates vs. angle, but that's gonna be more than copy&pasting 3 lines of code on a forum. If you can#t do it, hire someone or simply bite the bullet and hand-animate.

  • Display vertical text in body page

    Hi Gurus,
    I want to display vertical text(90 degrees angle) in my body page. Can u pls advice me how to do??
    Regards,
    Srini

    Hi Srini,
    I would prefer you to explain the problem in the forum itself sothat it will be beneficial for others as well.
    Anyway, it is possible to rotate the text in the dynamic table as well.
    1) Find the text to rotate by looping the dynamic table (use javascript function, "xfa.resolveNodes()" to loop).
    2) Rotate it using the script in appropriate event.
    tab1.data.textField.rotate = "90";
    Please let me know if you need more help.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Nobody get back to me on my other question, so I'm going to try again. I am making a PowerPoint for a meeting and I want to take a 3D PDF and have it spin or rotate on a continuous loop. How can I accomplish this?

    Please ignore PowerPoint comment, I can make the 3D PDF no problem with my converter plug-in for AutoCAD. Once it is made though you can spin it by hand/mouse in Adobe. but I want a video like scene with the object spinning by itself for modeling purposes?

  • Rotating Animation with a Seamless Loop

    Hey all,
    I'm trying to do something very simple in PS CS6 that's proving to be, well, not so simple (for me at least). All I want to do is animate a layer in a clockwise direction and end up with a seamless looping animated gif. I discovered rotation can't even be animated unless you convert the layer to a smart object, first of all (and by accident. And the "Motion" function doesn't seem to work much at all, where there is a "Rotate" option.). And of course simply copy-pasting the first keyframe in the timeline to the end of the timeline just makes the layter rotate clockwise, then counterclockwise back to it's original position.
    So.. I'm sure this is a simple task for experienced animators in Photoshop, so if someone could fill me in I'd greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks!
    Andy

    Thanks for replying conroy,
    Well, PS only lets you rotate up to 180 or -180 degrees for starters, and also if I do like you suggest with 0* at the start and end, it will just cause the last rotation to turn counterclockwise back to the initial position of the smart object, which is not what I want. I want the smart object to keep rotating clockwise. But thanks anyway for the input, and maybe I've misunderstood in some way.
    In the meantime, I have actually figured out a crude way to achieve the continuous clockwise rotation of the smart object... Simply use the Shift key and rotate in 15* increments, making keyframes along the way until the layer is rotated back to it's initial position. Unless someone else has a better method, it looks like I'll have to live with that.
    Thanks again!

  • Film loops and rotation

    I have a character that is seen from the top and I can move
    and rotate it - as long as it is a single image. However, I've put
    together a 4 frame film loop and the film loop won't rotate. Is
    there any way to do that - rotate a film loop? Can I get at the
    sprites in the film loop instead? I can use an animated gif but the
    line quality is a bit rubbish. Would a small linked movie be
    controllable? Any other suggestions?
    Thanks

    You can get access to any of the loop's sprites through the
    loop-sprite's movie property. Assuming you used sprite channel 1
    for your 4 frame loop, then the following behavior will rotate
    those sprites inside the film loop.
    property pMovieSprite
    on beginSprite me
    pMovieSprite = sprite(me.spriteNum).movie.sprite(1)
    end
    on enterframe me
    pMovieSprite.rotation = pMovieSprite.rotation + 10
    end
    In the property inspector select the "Film Loop" tab for your
    film loop member and select the "Crop" and "Center" radio buttons.
    This will enable you to resize the film loop sprite to fix any
    cropping issues.
    Note: This will also work for LDMs - Linked Director Movies,
    if you want to use these "Loops" across multiple movies.

  • Flash 8 xml rotator.swf and main timeline frame looping

    Hi Y'all -
    I have a purchased swf file that randomly rotates images (90
    or them) located in an external xml file. It works fine in it's own
    swf file.
    The author suggested dragging the movie clip to the library
    and to the stage. I did that in frame one, on its own layer of my
    main swf file, followed by empty keyframes for all other frames in
    the main swf. That works too, only showing the rotating logos in
    frame one.
    However, the stop(); actions on each of the other frames are
    ignored, so that going to frame two on the main timeline starts
    with the proper content and then continues on to the next frame and
    the next. Without the rotator, buttons control the action and I
    have no problem.
    This link shows the problem -
    http://uniconexed.org/bigflash/unicon-05-17-08-newlook.swf
    I've tried attaching the swf file and unloading it, using
    "create empty movie clip" (my current attempt outlined in the
    code), and about a half dozen other ways to no avail.
    I think I need to kill "play movie" when someone leaves frame
    one (or enters any other frame) even though not all of the 90
    images have displayed. It could be some depth issue, or lock root,
    I dunno.
    To restate, one of two things happen -
    1) the scene continues to display the files randomly over top
    of the content in the other frames (wrong) but the navigation
    buttons work (correct)
    or
    2) the random images do not display in the other frames
    (correct) but the navigation stops at each frame do not work
    (wrong) - the swf file scrolls through each of the frames, ignoring
    the stop(); at the top of each frame.
    Any help that leads to success would be greatly appreciated.
    Dan

    Hi there,
    Try using...
    unloadClip(myContent);
    instead of
    unloadMovie(myContent);
    unloadClip is the proper method to use when removing content
    created with the MovieClipLoader class

  • How do I loop back from the first frame to the last frame?

    Hi there,
    I'm currently working on the framework for a product viewer.
    I have:
    a movie clip called 'viewer_mc' which contains the images take from different angles of the product. The actionscript generates a script on the last frame of this that returns it to frame 1.
    a button instance called 'autoplay_btn' which plays through the movie clip from whatever the current frame is, and stops on frame 1.
    a left and right button which serve to move the movie clip frame, to give the appearance that the product is rotating.
    I have succeeded in getting it to:
    have the movie clip play through once, return to frame 1 and stop.
    have the buttons return functions when held down, that move the frame in the movie clip using nextFrame and prevFrame commands. The right button successfully loops round to frame 1 and continues functioning to give the appearance of continual rotation.
    The last problem I am experiencing is getting the left button to act in the corresponding manner, going from the first frame to the last and continuing to function.
    Here is my actionscript so far:
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    var lastFrame:Number = viewer_mc.totalFrames;
    var thisFrame:Number = viewer_mc.currentFrame;
    var backFrame:Number = viewer_mc.currentFrame-1;
    1. This is the part that gets it to play through once before returning to the first frame. I think perhaps the problem I am experiencing is because of the 'viewer_mc.addFrameScript(lastFrame-1, toStart)' part i.e. although I'm holding the left button, its returning to this script and therefor getting bounced back immediately to the first frame. However, there is no flicker on the screen which you might expect if this were the case
    Note - as this is a generic product viewer which I can use as a template I am using lastFrame etc. as opposed to typing the value in
    function toStart (){
              viewer_mc.gotoAndStop(1);
    viewer_mc.addFrameScript(lastFrame-1, toStart);
    2. This is the functionality for the autoplay_btn that will play through a rotation / return the viewer to the initial (frontal) view of the product (frame 1).
    autoplay_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, autoplay);
    function autoplay (ev:MouseEvent):void{
              var startFrame:Number = viewer_mc.currentFrame;
              viewer_mc.gotoAndPlay(startFrame);
    3. This is the functionality of the right button, which when held, moves the movie clip to the next frame via the 'rotateRight' function based on the 'nextFrame' command. It loops back round to the first frame due to the 'viewer_mc.addFrameScript(lastFrame-1, toStart)' script generated on the last frame of the movie clip, as is desired.
    right_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, rightDown);
    function rightDown(e:Event){
        stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,stoprightDown); //listen for mouse up on the stage, in case the finger/mouse moved off of the button accidentally when they release.
        addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,rotateRight); //while the mouse is down, run the tick function once every frame as per the project frame rate
    function stoprightDown(e:Event):void {
        removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,rotateRight);  //stop running the tick function every frame now that the mouse is up
        stage.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,stoprightDown); //remove the listener for mouse up
    function rotateRight(e:Event):void {
        viewer_mc.nextFrame();
    4. This is the functionality of the left button, which when held, moves the movie clip to the prev frame via the 'rotateRight' function based on the 'prevFrame' command. And this is where the problem lies, as although it works for getting the movieclip back to frame 1, it does not loop round to the last frame and continue functioning, as is wanted.
    left_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, leftDown);
    function leftDown(e:Event){
        stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,stopleftDown); //listen for mouse up on the stage, in case the finger/mouse moved off of the button accidentally when they release.
        addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,rotateLeft); //while the mouse is down, run the tick function once every frame as per the project frame rate
    function stopleftDown(e:Event):void {
        removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,rotateLeft);  //stop running the tick function every frame now that the mouse is up
        stage.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,stopleftDown); //remove the listener for mouse up
    I'd imagine it is probably my logic for this part that is really letting me down - I can do a similar function in actionscript 2, but am trying to learn actionscript 3 just to move with the times as it were, and struggling a bit. Still this is only a few days in!
    function rotateLeft(e:Event):void{
              if(thisFrame==1){
                        gotoAndStop(viewer_mc.totalFrames-1);
              } else{
              viewer_mc.prevFrame();
    Any help you can give me would be gratefully received. For an example of the effect I am trying to achieve with the autoplay button etc. I recommend:
    http://www.fender.com/basses/precision-bass/american-standard-precision-bass

    Thanks for getting back to me.
    Here's the code without my comments / explanations:
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    import flash.events.Event;
    var lastFrame:Number = viewer_mc.totalFrames;
    var thisFrame:Number = viewer_mc.currentFrame;
    var backFrame:Number = viewer_mc.currentFrame-1;
    function toStart (){
              viewer_mc.gotoAndStop(1);
    viewer_mc.addFrameScript(lastFrame-1, toStart);
    //last image of viewer_mc = first image of viewer_mc
    autoplay_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, autoplay);
    function autoplay (ev:MouseEvent):void{
              var startFrame:Number = viewer_mc.currentFrame;
              viewer_mc.gotoAndPlay(startFrame);
    right_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, rightDown);
    function rightDown(e:Event){
        stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,stoprightDown); //listen for mouse up on the stage, in case the finger/mouse moved off of the button accidentally when they release.
        addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,rotateRight); //while the mouse is down, run the tick function once every frame as per the project frame rate
    function stoprightDown(e:Event):void {
        removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,rotateRight);  //stop running the tick function every frame now that the mouse is up
        stage.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,stoprightDown); //remove the listener for mouse up
    function rotateRight(e:Event):void {
        viewer_mc.nextFrame();
    left_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, leftDown);
    function leftDown(e:Event){
        stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,stopleftDown); //listen for mouse up on the stage, in case the finger/mouse moved off of the button accidentally when they release.
        addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,rotateLeft);//while the mouse is down, run the tick function once every frame as per the project frame rate
    function stopleftDown(e:Event):void {
        removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,rotateLeft);  //stop running the tick function every frame now that the mouse is up
        stage.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,stopleftDown); //remove the listener for mouse up
    function rotateLeft(e:Event):void{
              viewer_mc.prevFrame();
    The definition of the rotateLeft function is where the problem lies I think - I've taken out my poor attempts at doing the logic from the previous post. If I were to write it out long-hand the statement I want to write is: 'If you get to frame 1 and function rotateLeft is called go to the end of the movie clip'.
    The reason I have to use the viewer_mc.totalFrames-1 definition in the addFrameScript call is the addFrameScript function is 0 based i.e. if you want to call frame 1 of the movieclip you have to return a value of 0 in the addFrameScript (or such is my understanding of it anyway). As such, the last image in the movie clip will need to be the view obtained at 360 degree rotation, which is of course the same view as at 0 degree rotation. As a consequence, the last frame in the movie clip is superfluous for the user, but necessary for the overall effect to be achieved. And, in addition, to keep up the effect of a 360 degree view when the rotateLeft function is called it needs to skip that last frame to go to the lastFrame-1 (or totalframes-1), or in other words, the view of the image prior to completing the full 360 rotation.
    the variables thisFrame and lastFrame are defined at the very top of the script. Like you said they might need to be defined or called on again elsewhere.

  • Closed Loop or Open Loop

    Dear All,
    I'm currently using the DAQ card PIC-6221 to control a DC servomotor with an encoder displacement feedback. I'm using the labview program with a motor amplifier to start the motor and stop it at a specific rotational displacement, where it works by stopping the motor when the encoder feedback value reaches the input desired displacement value. The final displacement of the motor before it stops always exceeds the desired value marginally. May I know for my case,am I using an open or closed loop control? Is a PID controller a MUST for closed loop control? Is my DAQ card capable of desigining a PID controller? If so may I know how?
    Also, my project requires me to toggle between the current and voltage mode control. May I know if that is possible to carry out digitally using the Labview Program as my current motor amplifier requires me to push a switch manually to toggle between Voltage and Current mode. Finally, I hope my last question is not out of this world but is it possible to use 2 amplifiers(drivers) for a single motor such that there's a chance to use both the current and voltage modes of control?
    Really looking forward to the replys of you kind souls out there! Thanks!
    Regards,
    Oompa

    Oompa,
    to learn more about the general concepts of motion control, please visit this link.
    In general I widely agree with JB's suggestions. I'll just add some more comments to your questions.
    If you need closed loop control depends on what you try to accomplish. If you just want to generate a certain torque (current mode) that is proportional to the output voltage of your control device, you may not need to run a closed loop system. A similar statement is true for the voltage mode.
    Closed loop control is especially important if you need to control the position, or if you need to run a special trajectory profile (position/velocity/torque over time)
    Maybe it's possible to control the current/voltage mode of your drive with a digital signal. You will have to find out in the manual or check with the vendor.
    Using two drives with a single motor doesn't seem to be recommendable. If you want to do something like that, you will need to switch the power signals with relays between the two drives, but as you are working with inductive loads this might become quite tricky and there is a risk to burn both, the motor and the drives...

  • Optimum servo pid loop rate

    Hi,
    I want some confirmation on the optimum pid loop rate and the fastest servo motor operation that we can acheive with Pxi-7352 running on Window.
    The manual of 7352 says "62 μs PID loop update rate for up to 2 axes". The requirment is to acheive periodic equi sized straight line and rotary motion ( using yaskawa servo motors in torque mode and 7352 to close position loop ) Both motion are independant and not operating simultaneous i.e rotary completes one full rotation in small steps and then linear moves by one small step then rotary completes next rotation in small steps and again linear motor moves this continues till end of test.
    you can observe here that both rotary and liner motion are periodic and move equi spaced distance for each step with small stoppage/dwell time of 500 u sec , The catch is in addition to positional accuracy in terms of 50 -100 microns the time for complete each step is also very crucial and very small (many peridoc steps together consitute complete linear and rotary motion). Find expected velocity profile attached for more details on desired timing.
    As the motors have simple and periodic straight line and rotary motion i suppose buffered contour moves are not needed which have limitation of 10 msec between two points, then can the time to acheive each step be as low as 2.5 to 5 msec considering best loop rate of 62.5 u sec and highest/worst pid loop rate of 500 usec.
    1. Is the expected timing of 2.5 - 5 m sec feasible assuming that the motor is capable of reaching 5000 rpm which is well above desired speed.
    2. 735x series being high performance motion controller what is the order of closed loop timing that we can expect for simple and periodic moves (say in order of 1000 usec or 10 msec)
    3. Can i interface one stepper motor and another servo motor where both the motors and drives are in position mode on single 7352 and UMI 7772.
    4. Are there any limitation if NI motion is not used for code development and NI motion Assistant along with LabVIEW is used instead.
    This is precision application and the component is very small ,the weight of the component would be less than 400 grams so i hope we do not have to consider inertial affect on motion significantly.
    Appriciate if some one with similar experience can provide more details.

    Hi Bipin,
    thank you for your comprehensive post. I had a close look at your timing specs and I strongly doubt, that these specs can be met with a 7352 board. Even though the PID loop rate of 62.5µs might be enough, both trajectory generator and the supervisory control (host communication, move command sequencing,...) are too slow to meet your requirements. Please note, that the trajectory generator always works with a timing interval of 10 ms, regardless of the operation mode (linear move, contouring, blending,...), so there is no way to reach your timing specs with this product. In general contouring is the fastest way to run a quick succession of moves, as it doesn't require host communication (by the way: onboard programs don't execute much faster, than programs that are running on the host).
    I don't want to make negative mareketing for our 735x boards, but your timing requirements are just way beyond the requirements of typical motion control applications and it's probably quite hard to find any COTS product in the market, that can meet these specs.
    With this said, I would like to offer you an alternative solution, that is based on NI's FPGA technology. Additionally to a faster trajectory generator a faster control loop is probably also very desireable for your application. Even with the lowest price Virtex-II based R-Series multifunction board (PCI-7830R) you can run PID loops with 5µs cycle time and the trajectory generator at the same rate. You even can use a different type of control algorithm if required. This technology is leveraged very successfull in a lot of applications with very high performance and accuracy requirements (here are some examples).
    So these are the pros, but where are the cons? Well, the R-Series boards are general purpose FPGA boards and not ready to run motion control boards, so you need to develop the low-level control application by yourself. The good news here is, that it can all be done graphically in LabVIEW and that there are many ready to run examples for motion control, that can be used as a base for your development. Additionally you may want to have a look at the NI SoftMotion Development Module for LabVIEW, that simplifies the development of motion control applications, but it is not a mandatory tool and the benefits of this module might not be as high for your application, as ithey are for more standard motion control applications.
    I hope that helps.

  • I have a Flash Sample to rotate images and text but I not find a way to display special characters

    Hello everyone.
    I bought a very nice Flash application that rotate images, and text of any color and size. It use an XML input file.
    I've posted here, a complete copy, so any of you can download, view and use it freely.
    I would appreciate if any of you know how to do, so that the text displayed, including the characters I use in my language (Spanish), such as á, é, í, ó, ú, ñ, and other special characters.
    In fact, I could not find a way to do it, because I'm not expert Flash, and less in ActionScript.
    If any of you would help me on that, I thank you implement the appropriate adjustments and compressed into a. zip file, and let me know where to download it, or if you prefer you can send it to my email: [email protected]
    After all compressed in .zip format is a very small file: 430K.
    Click here to download the complete sample.
    Thanks.

    Hello Rinus,
    If I understood your last post correctly, then problem 2 is resolved, right?
    Regarding problem 3:
    I'm not asking you to share exact VIs.
    I just want to see a very simple VI that explains the concept of what you're trying to do, what should happen (this can be in words that refer to the front panel elements) and what you've tried.
    The terminology you're using isn't clear to me without an extra explanation.
    This could even be only a Front Panel with a few buttons on where you just describe what should happen with specific controls/indicators.
    Based on the first post it is not clear to me what you mean with:
    - A "button element":
      Are you talking about a control, an indicator, a cluster that contains multiple control?
    - The structure:
      Is this an event structure, case structure, for loop, ...?
    Is it seems like you want to programmatically control Front Panel objects, which on itself is no problem at all independent of how many objects you want to control.
    Please share with me simple example of what goes wrong and explain which things should happen on that specific Front Panel.
    This will allow me to help you and also allow me to guide you along the right path.

  • Is there a way to create the illusion of a looping landscape made up of 3D layers?

    The idea is to create a landscape with mountains as individual layers in 3D space. We want to give the illusion that the camera is passing by them - tracking right to left - yet have it to where the landscape keeps the appearance of a loop.
    The resulting video would be used as a looping background video for a live performance.

    You might consider creating a still that's very wide then using
    Trapcode Horizon to give you your wide background. Then you'd create a ring of closer hills as individual layers that you'd tie to a null and rotate around the camera. This would give you the perspective shift and should work effectively if you parent the null to the camera and have auto orient to the camera turned on.
    Hope this helps.

  • Trying to make a looped animation outside of comp space: expression or keyframe?

    Not quite sure on how to title it but thats the jist if it:)
    Hello and thank you for your time,
    Basically, I want to take a tiny small shape object within a comp size of 2048 x 1024, and have it animated so that this small shape object starts at the very top edge of the comp (where comp meets the grey dark-matter space), and move it straight down to the bottom edge of the comp, and then have to repeat again starting at the top again, so that this small shape object is constantly starting at the top, and moving down to the bottom.
    From there I can adjust speed and even angle of travel so that I can rotate the trajectory and have it move at an angle for example.
    Is there a expression that can repeat this tragectory over and over again without me always keyframing it??
    D

    You can set 2 position keyframes then add this expression to the Position property.
    loopOut("cycle")
    that will get you to the looping movement stage of your project. Now Pre-compose the layer and add time remapping to adjust the speed.
    I'll have to think of a way to automate the rest. It will involve some advanced expressioneering.
