We are using TAXINN, in the tax pricing proceedure i have mede 17 for call type for VAT condition type. in OB90 we have mede the rounding rule as 100 for currency INR.
When i create the FI direct invoice using the same Tax code it works fine, but having problem in MIRO. I want the decimal should be rounded to the nearest value.
Can any one help me is there any standard set up where we can arrive this?? OR is it required any user exit??

Check whether you can use the user exit function module KR_USER_EXIT_ROUNDOFF

• Unit of measure - rounding off during creation of planned order

Dear All,
We have defined one material OIL in MM41 and its UoM is EA also we have put alternative UoM is L(liter).
now we create BOM of semifinished material we use this oil as a component and enter its value in decimal points.
e.g 0.375 EA
During planned order creation or REM backflush system convert this quantity to 1 EA ,WE dont want this automatic conversion .
We have uploaded all master data in production and now it is very difficult to change all BOM
So what is the solution of this that system can not convert qty (rounding off).EA
Kindly reply
Sunil

Hi Sunil,
IN CUNI Transaction Field Decimal Places is for displaying the decimals,there is a decimal place Rounding off field below,there try to maintain 3 decimals and check whether it is working.
One more thing is Unit EA will be used always as non decimal unit,But i dont know in your buisness how for unit EA there is a decimal qty

• Rounding off a float to two decimal places

I want to make a function where I shall pass a float and and integer.
The float shall have to be rounded off to a value in the integer.
Can anyone please suggest how to round off a float.
E.g.: if the float is 12.56890 and I want to round it off to 2 decimal places, then it should be 12.57.
Regards
Hawker

I didn't mention any datatypes like float, double.True, but that is what the question is about, so you weren't answering the question. For a change.
As I mentioned, that was just a mathematical steps to round of the floating point value. (Not in any programming languages point of view).False. You didn't mention that at all.
This is the code for that in java.So here you are mentioning datatypes and floats for the same piece of mathematics that you have already been told, with reasons, doesn't work in floating point.
which seems to be working fine
Seems to. What evidence do you have that the float actually got rounded? As opposed to got displayed as rounded? Which is not what the OP asked for.
And of course all that code seems to do is round 0.01 to two decimal places, which again is not what the OP asked for.
For any remaining fans of this 'technique', please explain the behaviour of the following code:
public static void     main(String[] args)
int     count = 0, errors = 0;
for (double x = 0.0; x < 1; x += 0.0001)
count++;
double     d = x;
int     scale = 2;
double     factor = Math.pow(10, scale);
d = Math.round(d*factor)/factor;
if ((d % 0.01) != 0.0) // if 'd' really has been rounded this should be zero
System.out.println(d % 0.01);
errors++;
System.out.println(count+" trials "+errors+" errors");
}

• VAT Rounding off during MIRO

Dear SAP Guru's,
I would like to know what has to be done to round off the VAT amount during MIRO. We have configured the rounding off rule 17 in our Tax pricing procedure and it works for PO. I could the amount gets rounded off in PO pricing procedure. But during MIRO the VAT amount shows in decimal that I donu2019t want. I tried my best to find out the configuration part.
I have tried the Company code setting in the SPRO -> Logistic General -> Goods movement. But there is option for Excise related settings there, not for VAT. The condition types master also maintained for commercial round off.
Where is the configuration for MIRO. I could see some forum threads for writing the Routine. Is it we need to go for Routine?? There is no standard setting where we can define it??
Your inputs are valuable for me.

Dear NAresh,
Thanks for your comments, I have checked this thread. We have did all the settings mentioned in that. The rounding off rule 17 will work for the FI direct entries and PO pricing. But it does not work for MIRO.
But I don't have much Idea about writting a Routine. Is it advicable to for it??

• Rounding of a value to 2 decimal points.

Hi all,
I need to round off a value to 2 decimals.
For example:
A value 13.6789 should be rounded of to 13.67 and not 13.68

Hi,
Thats Truncation not rounding, for data types P and F we cannot have sub field access,
so we cannot use offset, it leads to error results
and if we use
data : var type p decimals 2 they will be rounded hence
So, pass it to a character variable
and use write satement edition
example
data : var(7) type p decimals 4  value '13.6789 ' .
write /  var.
data : var1(8) type c.
move var to var1.
write /(5)  var1.

Thanks
Syed Baddar

Hi
You can do this by writing a rounding calculation rule.
Or ask an ABAPer to write a simple routine in payroll driver program RPCALCX0. It has an exit where he/she can write a small routine for this.

• Quantity Round off During goods Issue??

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where I want to allow goods issue (261 OR 311) exactly into the multiple of some value say 25 because my bag size is 25 kg,
Basic unit of measure of material is kg.
Please suggest the settings to achieve this.
Thanks in advance.

HI
You can use issue unit maintained in work scheduling view of MM.it is unit in which the material is issued from the warehouse.If this field does not contain an entry, the system will assume that the unit of measure is the base unit of measure. also you need to maintain conversion in Alternate units in additional data in Material master.
Check and revert

• Rounding off Miro Values

Hi ,
I having problem in VAT round off during MIRO. We have created PO +VAT. VAT amount has been rounded off. After GRN, we
are trying to post the Invoice in MIRO, the VAT amount shows with Decimal
We are using ZTAXIN , in the tax pricing proceedure i have made requirement 13 & call type 16 for VAT condition type.
If i am doing 13 and 16 then vat is not calculating in PO
I want the decimal should be rounded to the nearest cost.

Hi,
What I understand that you want to roundoff the amount during invoice posting. If my understanding is correct then please set tolerance limit for BD. While posting invoice fill the Invoice Amount (Basic Data) as 100 instead of 100.13
Now 0.13 will be posted to GL account maintained in OBYC-DIF

• Working With Prices/Decimal Points

I've recently figured out how to perform calculations on values by assigning them to variables in a click function however I'm working with prices in my app and it seems difficult to get prices/decimal points to claculate properly. At the moment my app looks like this:-
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<mx:Application
xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="vertical">
<mx:Script>
<![CDATA[
private function getTotal():void{
var addon1Int:int = parseInt(addon1.text);
var addon1Float:Number = parseFloat(addon1.text);
var addon1Number:Number = new Number(addon1.text);
var addon2Int:int = parseInt(addon2.text);
var addon2Float:Number = parseFloat(addon2.text);
var addon2Number:Number = new Number(addon2.text);
var addon3Int:int = parseInt(addon3.text);
var addon3Float:Number = parseFloat(addon3.text);
var addon3Number:Number = new Number(addon3.text);
var addon4Int:int = parseInt(addon4.text);
var addon4Float:Number = parseFloat(addon4.text);
var addon4Number:Number = new Number(addon4.text);
var addon5Int:int = parseInt(addon5.text);
var addon5Float:Number = parseFloat(addon5.text);
var addon5Number:Number = new Number(addon5.text);
var quantityNumber:Number = new Number(quantity.value);
total.data = (addon1Number + addon2Number + addon3Number + addon4Number + addon5Number) * (quantityNumber);
]]>
</mx:Script>
<mx:Text id="addon1" text="5.99"/>
<mx:Text id="addon2" text="6.99"/>
<mx:Text id="addon3" text="8.99"/>
<mx:Text id="addon4" text="4.99"/>
<mx:Text id="addon5" text="3.99"/>
<mx:NumericStepper id="quantity"/>
<mx:Button label="Button" click="getTotal();"/>
<mx:Text id="total"/>
</mx:Application>
It works ok if the numbers in the text areas are whole numbers like 8 or 4 but if I use numbers like 02.99, 05.09 the result comes out a bit srange. For example the result of the numbers that I have in there now if I set the value to 2 in the numeric stepper is 61.900000000000006 when I know from using a real calculator it should be 61.9. Is there any way perhaps of rounding this code to the nearest decimal point so it appears as 61.90?
Are there any good tutorials that any of you know of when working with prices/decimal points in flex?

I've managed to find the solution for this - the currency formatter. If anyone's interested or has similar problems her's the code that solves it for me:-
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<mx:Application
xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="vertical">
<mx:Script>
<![CDATA[
import mx.formatters.NumberBaseRoundType;
private function getTotal():void{
var addon1Int:int = parseInt(addon1.text);
var addon1Float:Number = parseFloat(addon1.text);
var addon1Number:Number = new Number(addon1.text);
var addon2Int:int = parseInt(addon2.text);
var addon2Float:Number = parseFloat(addon2.text);
var addon2Number:Number = new Number(addon2.text);
var addon3Int:int = parseInt(addon3.text);
var addon3Float:Number = parseFloat(addon3.text);
var addon3Number:Number = new Number(addon3.text);
var addon4Int:int = parseInt(addon4.text);
var addon4Float:Number = parseFloat(addon4.text);
var addon4Number:Number = new Number(addon4.text);
var addon5Int:int = parseInt(addon5.text);
var addon5Float:Number = parseFloat(addon5.text);
var addon5Number:Number = new Number(addon5.text);
var quantityNumber:Number = new Number(quantity.value);
var total:Number = (addon1Number + addon2Number + addon3Number + addon4Number + addon5Number) * (quantityNumber);
totalAmount.text=currencyFormatter.format(total);
]]>
</mx:Script>
<mx:CurrencyFormatter id="currencyFormatter" precision="2" rounding="none" decimalSeparatorTo="." thousandsSeparatorTo="," useThousandsSeparator="true" useNegativeSign="true" currencySymbol="£" alignSymbol="left"/>
<mx:TextInput id="addon1" text="5.99"/>

• Rounding off to nearest decimal point

i have these values
35.2
35.3
35.4
35.5
35.7
35.8
35.9
36.0
i am looking for indexes closet 35.74 in my array. (which is index 4.)
i used the "round to nearest" function and it gave me 36.
which is index 7.
what other ways to get the right index?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

You will always have some difficulties with rounding to a specific number of digits after the decimal point because of the way numbers are represented in binary. When expressed in binary 0.1 is an infinitely repeating expression. Regardless of the display the internal representation of the number always uses the maximum resolution for the data type (8 bytes for DBL).
So you need to be very careful to define exactly what you want. If you have an array of values (regardless of the way they are displayed) Then you can find the closest to a Test Value by subtracting Test Value from the array and finding the minimum of the absolute values of the differences.
Note that in the image below the same values are in Array and Array 2 with the display on Array 2 set for 20 siginficant digits.

which is the function module for it please suggest
regards
Arora

Hi Nishant Arora,
Please check this code.
DATA: N1 TYPE P DECIMALS 4 VALUE '0.0565',
N2 TYPE P DECIMALS 2.
MOVE N1 TO N2.
WRITE: N2.
Here the value is get rounded to 0.06.
Rather than function modules you go with this. I think it is easier.
