Router activity does not evaluate conditions cases.

Hi all,
I have a bounded taskflow as a region in a jspx page. This task flow has 3 activity. The default one is a router that evaluate two cases, and navigate to one page fragment. The two cases expressions are like this :
<router id="router1">
<case>
<expression>#{data.somePageDef.someIterator.estimatedRowCount > 0}</expression>
<outcome>initManyLines</outcome>
</case>
<case>
<expression>#{data.somePageDef.someIterator.estimatedRowCount == 0}</expression>
<outcome>initZeroLines</outcome>
</case>
<default-outcome>initZeroLines</default-outcome>
</router>So depending of the number of lines in the someiterator iterator, it navigate to one of the two pages. But that does not work. It always redirect to the default outcome.
The somePageDef pageDef is bound to the jspx that encapsulate the region.
Any ideas ?
Regards
Fred

Ok I solved myself.
I used an input parameter that is set to iterator.estimatedRowCount in the parent pageDef, and the router use it in the task flow via #{pageflowScope.myStuff}, and navigate.

• Wait activity does not expires after giving time frame

Hi all,
We are using SOA suite version 11.1.1.5. In our process, we use a wait activity so that the process will wait for a certain time frame (say 1 min) and again proceeds when the wait activity time expires.
The above process was running successfully for some months. But suddenly the instances are getting stopped in the wait activity and they are not proceeding after the given time.
The audit trail shows wait activity pending. And the wait activity does not expires even after the respected time.
Kindly suggest the possibilities of this scenario.
Regards,
Gopi

Hi Gopi,
You can look at the logs to see if there are for any errors/warnings during the wait activity execution.
A possible explanation can be due to an error in a later on activity (like invoke or assign). If you have an error that you didn't catch, the process will try to rollback to the last dehydrate point (in your case the wait activity) and stuck there.
Thanks

• NGS Sponsors authentication does not work in case user has non-English character in his password

Hi,
we are using the NAC Guest Server v 2.0.1 and have Sponsors authentication done through Radius servers. Radius servers are Microsoft IAS using AD.
Sponsors user authentication works okay in case user's password includes English characters, but does not work in case an user uses national characters like for example Umlauts in German.
On Radius server I can see these error messages:
User XXXX was denied access.
Reason = Authentication was not successful because an unknown user name or incorrect password was used.
As soon as an user changes his password and uses English characters only, it resolves.
I guess this might be that NGS uses different coding while sending a password to Radius server, but not sure.
Appreciate if anyone knows a root cause and what could be a workaround. Unfortunately our AD policy allows users to use national characters and we can hardly change it. So a change on NGS or Radius side would be more viable.
Many thanks for your help.

A case has been opened at Cisco and it is now quite clear that it is a problem with coding.
According to Cisco development team NGS uses UTF-8 coding to send the password, of course encrypted, to the Radius server. This cannot be changed within NGS. We use Radius Microsoft IAS Version 5.2.3790.3959 running on VMWare Windows 2003 SP2. More tests are scheduled to be performed.

• HT2188 iPad 1 requested activation after being low on power. Activation does not work.

Hi
My iPad 1 requested activation after being low on power. Activation does not work so I have tried to restore it from iTunes. this progresses but after rebooting, it gets to the activation process for a few minutes and re-boots again - in a loop now. on ios6, not 7. help please?
I also looked at trying to do a manual install of firmware via iTunes but I do not know the version of firmware or how to find it out - so really stuck!
Thanks

I pulled my unit out of the dock - powered up and the display goes blank (if you look carefully you can see the bios boot screen, then black, then you can see the backlight turn off.
I plugged in the USB monitor and boom - I could log in.
Once Logged in I could see that windows still thinks it has some of the monitors from the dock, and the internal display is set to disable.
So the issue is the detection / setup of monitors in/out of the dock.
I've done about all I can do for dubugging, I hope lenovo can pick up from here. if not I'll have to call lenovo support.

So the router doesn’t want routing. Any Idea ?

Hi armandschindler,
I think you are missing something. make sure your lan interfaces are public ip. May be not, so your isp have no information about these routes 62.119.117.64 /27 eventually ping fail.
In this case you need nat on this router.
ping from your router is successful because Its public ip and your isp has information how to route back.

• My router WRT54GX does not note the version.

I want to update my router as we are going to network and the router case does not note what version. The software is version 1.1. Does this mean that my unit is a v1?

If there is no any version number for your router then its a version 1 router.You could just logon to www.linksys.com/download & upgrade the firmware by clicking the Administration tab on the setup page.

• KT8 Neo.......Led Activity does not work with SATA drives

Is this another MSI Flop.
Does anybody know if the HD led works when using SATA drives connected to the Via controller on the K8T Neo board?
I checked the case led and it works fine. It is not burnt out.
I also have the K7N2 Delta board and the HD led does not work on that board either when using SATA hard drives. I was told the led connecter was never wired to detect activity for the SATA drives only for IDE. A bios upgrade would never fix it.
I just setup K8T Neo and other than the HD Led not working the board seems to be pretty stable.

The only led activity I get is when the board is first powered on and I just recently noticed when I play a DVD. The led seems to flicker when the dvd is playing.
Other than that I see no led activity with 1 or 2 SATA drives connected to the VIA controller.
Can someone confirm that it either works or it doesn't work.
I keep reading all these posts and some say it works and some say it don't.
Unless their is a new revision of the KT8 Neo and everybody is connecting their led to the HDD Led pins on JFP1 (Page 2-19 in the manual) they all should either work or they all should not workl. From what I gather their is no new revision of the board and only one Bios v1.1.
It also seems their was some confusion on what connector people were connecting thier led to on the motherboard. From what I read on page 2-19 in the manual thier is only one choice on JFP1 (Top row, pins 1 & 3).

• New router, printer does not work

A new wireless internet router and modem was installed yesterday. My printer does not respond from my MacBook Pro or my iPad. I followed all troubleshooting advice on HP and Apple websites. No luck. Apple support today suggested that my printer may need additional informatin which I cannot change. The Network ConfigurationCheck was perfect except for address changes and one other which may be significant. URLs for embedded web servers changed from http:/HP618550 to http://dhcppc2.
The Wireless Network Test Results were perfect. My computers acess the internet also without problems. Apple had me put a USB cable between the MacBook and the printer. Then the printer worked just fine. He thought (not being a printer guru) that perhaps the communication between the router and printer was the problem. Hence I come to this site. I have followed all HP site troubleshooting advice and met each criteria. HELP?

After reading this through again, I am wondering if the router is unable to support Bonjour properly. Bonjour is the discovery service through which your Mac finds your printer on your network.
Although not for your identical router, this article may be helpful: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02986958&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en#N135
If we can't get this resolved a for-sure, kill-it-dead solution is to get a normal, standard router (Linksys or Netgear) and put it in line with your ZyXel, disabling its wireless. I can help if you want to go this way. A good standard router would be $40 and you would be done.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

• Router webpage does not load correctly

I own a wireless WRT54G, which has worked fine in the past. After setting up a new wireless network, I went to the router webpage to open some ports. The problem with the page loading is that it doesn't display correctly. No clickable text is displayed on the top of the page or the side bar, so I basically can't do anything whatsoever to configure it. I've tried loading it up in both Firefox and Internet Explorer, with IE saying the page loaded but with errors. Any help would be much appreciated.

I did not understand what you meant when you said "After setting up a new wireless network". What new wireless network did you set up?
To view the router's web pages:
Use Internet Explorer, it usually works.
JavaScript must be enabled.
Use a computer that is wired to the router.
In the non-working computer, temporarily turn off your software firewall.
If you are using Zone Alarm, right click on the ZA icon in the system tray (lower right corner of screen) and then click "Shutdown ZoneAlarm", and see if this fixes your problem. If this does not work, try the following with Zone Alarm: Open the ZAISS control center, go to Privacy, then temporarily turn off Ad Blocking and Cookie Control, and see if that fixes your problem.
If you are using Noton Internet Security with the Add-on Pack, be sure to turn off the Pop-up Blocker. Some users have reported that they needed to uninstall the entire Norton Add-on Pack.
If you cannot get anything at 192.168.1.1 then perhaps this is not your router's address. Go to "Start" > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
A black DOS box will appear. Type in "ipconfig" (with no quotes), then hit the Enter key. Look at the "Default Gateway". Is it 192.168.1.1 ? Point your browser to the "Default Gateway", then login to your router.
If the above fails, disconnect your modem from the router, and try again. If this corrects your problem, then most likely you have a "modem-router" rather than an ordinary modem. Check to see if your "modem-router" is using the same 192.168.1.x address space as your Linksys router. If it is, then report back with this problem, and also state the make and model of your modem-router.
If all of the above fails, power down your entire system, unplug it from the wall, wait one minute, then power up and try again.
If all of the above tips fail, then reset the router to factory defaults: Power down the router and disconnect all wires from it. Wait one minute. Power up the router, allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes), then press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release the button and allow the router to reset and reboot ( 2-3 minutes). Power down router. Wait one minute. Connect one computer, by wire, to a LAN port on the router. Boot up system. It should work.
If the reset does not fix your system, then you need to download and install (or re-install) the latest firmware for your router. After the firmware upgrade, you must reset the router to factory defaults, then setup the router again from scratch. If you saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.

• "False" statement in case does not occur in case

Hi,
I've used the basic serial read/write to get some data from a microcontroller.
I had to modify the VI a bit, so I can check to see if the data I receive is either one specific value, or any other value.
My problem is that only the "true"-case occurs. If i receive anything else but '1', nothing happens.
Why does not the "false"-statement occur?

I am reading it right off the screen in front of me. The only other info is activation type = repair. What are my options? I paid a lot for this and I would like to keep using it. Thanks for any help.

I am having the exact same problem. I have moved my Adobe CS3 to a new computer. Even though I am entering the activation code correctly as displayed on my screen, I still get the message "The number you entered does not have the required number of digits". You can then select to speak to someone, but then you receive a recording that Adobe is no longer handling activation problems via phone, goodbye, and I am disconnected.
How can I re-activate my CS3 product? I have a legitimate purchase and a legitimate license key. Thank you.
