Router works for OS X, Not Windows XP

I have a Linksys BEFW11S4 ver. 4 wireless router with the lastest firmware. I also have an Apple Macbook running Boot Camp with Windows XP Pro. I can connect and use the router on OS X just fine but I am unable to connect under Windows XP. It just keeps saying waiting for the network and eventually goes to back to the detected wireless networks screen. I do have a password set but I don't think that should be an issue. Anyone else have this issue?

on the laptop , click on the start menu >> control panel >> network connections >> right click on wireless network connection >> properties >> clear the preferred network list and try to connect to the wireless network again ...

The router I have is the Linksys E1000. I bought it and hooked it up yesterday and works great for my desktop but not for my daughters laptop. Are you able to see your router's network name on your laptop? If yes, then follow the below mentioned settings.
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Network and Sharing Center >> Manage Wireless Networks, here remove all the networks present and close the Window...
Click on Connect to a Network and try to re-connect to your Network, it should ask for your Network Key/Password, enter the correct password/network key and click Connect...
It should connect...Once you are connected you should restart the computer, it should connect to Internet...

When has this issue started occurring, was this after installation of any specific adobe product.

Album Art works for most, but not all

I was reading previous forums on the subject, but no clear answer was given..
The album art shows up fine in itunes and my library and works for most of my music on my ipod, but how come some album's art does appear? I have it set manually and select 'Get Info' then 'Artwork' and add it from there, then drag in the finished product to my ipod. I've been doing that and it works fine for most of the albums, but every so often, the album art will not appear on my ipod. Am I doing something wrong? I take them all from the same source (amazon.com) but it makes no sense to me how some randomly don't appear.
I tried deleting the artwork and re-adding it, but nothing happened again. If you could answer why it works for most but not all or how I can get the album art to appear for the ones it will not by re-doing something, it would be appreciated. thanks.

I encountered the same problem in the beginning. When I compared the size of the original images, the working ones seemed to be smaller in general, so I reduced the size of all covers I intended to upload on the pod to 300x300 pixels.
This seemed to work - for 2 days. I bought the pod on friday, had pictures on sunday, but on Monday (after the first time the pod was fully discharged) none were left left.
So I ended searching this forum for related problems...

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. It asked me if I wanted to install something to make the videos load faster -
Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. Might be lurking there. If so, select the plugin then click Uninstall.
Check:
~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins (~) Tilde character represents your Home folder
Check:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
/Library/Application Support
/Library/Input Managers
And check your Safari downloads folder. If the file is still there, double click to open. Might be an uninstaller you can use.

Hi all,
Need some suggestions here.
I have an old Creative sb0410 7.1 channel card and after reading few long threads, I am able to output dd/dts via 3.5mm to rca connector.
However, the problem is I only hear sound if the video has dd or dts sound. When I play normal MP3 or youtube videos, there is no sound.
Is there a way to configure the digital out so it sends all sound to the receiver whether it's dd or dts or regular stereo?

As a workaround, I used another 3.5mm stereo to RCA adapter on stereo LR output of sound card and hooked to a different input in my receiver.
Problem, is I have to switch input in receiver for non DTS/DD sounds.
It's disappointing that my upscaling dvd player sends all sound signals via coax but this card does not.
Isn't it supposed to send all sound signals via coax regardless whether it is DTS/DD or normal stereo/mono etc?

Windows XP3 Firefox works for one use, not another.

Using windows XP SP3 and latest Firefox. On normal user Fire fox suddenly will not load. Click on Icon and it seems to load but does not appear on desktop. Looking in Windows Task Manager it looks like ti is running. Never appears open on desktop
On user "Admin", it boots and works normally. BOTH Admin and other user are admin security levels.
I have downloaded and installed the latest update but no change.
Thunderbird works normally on all users. There are only two user names on this machine. My problem is with another machine. I have compared some settings from this one to the faulty on and found no noticable differences.

Speakers not working for Skype only on Windows 8.1

My speakers or headphones are not working for Skype desktop but work fine for any music or videos or other programms. Any help to resolve it? in Tools>Options>Audio Settings> headphones does not show up. Everything was working fine but it just happend a day before., i havent installed any program that could make problem.

This is very strange because, as you are saying this happened without any change to any software on your computer. I suggest the following:
1. To help the team analyze the issue, provide logs as described in this link under Skype for Windows Desktop and attach it to your post.
2. As an interim solution you can try using a virtual audio device that will be a middle man between skype and your physical audio device.

I have already tried manually extracting the pre-built mod_jk22.so from the wsconfig.jar with same results.
If I switch to Apache 2.2.22 64bit, it does work. what I need is to be able to run on Apache 2.4.

When we were working colfusion 9 with Linux and apache, we had the same problem, it will work when it connect to Apache 2.0 but not with Apache 2.2 version.

Flash Player Works for Some Users, Not Others

I have recently upgraded my home computers to Windows 7 (64 bit). My kids all have standard user accounts. I have installed Adobe Flash Player as an administrator. It works for me (administrator) and some of my kids (standard accounts) but not for all of my kids. As far as I can tell, the kids' accounts are identical, so I can't figure out why some of them can use Flash Player and some cannot on the same computers.
For the accounts where Flash Player does not work, we get a prompt to install the latest version (which, of course, is already installed). Even when I try to reinstall it (using my administrator password), the problem is not resolved. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player, with no success.
I use both Windows Parental Controls and Windows Family Safety for my kids' accounts. All four kids have the same settings. I tried turning these off temporarily to see if that would make a difference but it did not.
I am baffled. Help!

Quicktime working for some but not for others

I'm developing this website and it displays videos in quicktime format, but it's just not working for some people... It just won't play for some reason I just don't know 'cause I couldn't make the error happen to me and got no good help from others...
This is what's happening: @ www.thebrooklynbrothers.com/ clicking on "work, work and more work", then clicking on MEDIA and then FILM, it should display the QT movie and the user could play it, but for some reason it just shows up the QT logo and nothing more, as some people are telling me... could somebody check this out to see if it happens to you as well and tell me what could be the problem or any other details of the error so I can figure out what it is?

I'm having a similar problem with videos uploaded onto my website. It all plays fine through Firefox and Internet Explorer on my other PC, but on this one (Win XP), I just get a blank page after it's finished loading. No video box or error mesage. Just lots of white space. I've checked all my settings, and have QT as my default player, but still nothing. Have also downloaded the latest QT updates. Is there something I'm missing in Windows or Internet Explorer? I don't have any problems with it on my Mac.

Flash Player works for Administrator but not other users

I have Flash Player 10.2.153.1 installed and I am running Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows Internet Explorer 8. If I am logged in as the Administrator I have no problem watching video previews from the Odeon and other similar websites. However, if logged on a Standard user account Odeon film previews cannot be seen - all I get is a blank white viewing box with a small square box in the top left corner with the colours red, green and blue in it (it is too vague to make out what the logo is even when zoomed in). The inability to watch video clips for Standard users seems to be random as some sites work while others do not? Can anyone help solve this problem? Why do I have this problems for the standard user accounts on some websites but not at all for the Administrator account on any website ???
