Routing - Minimum wait time - only workdays

Hello,
we need to block for an operation in the routing 4 days (external processing).
We dont want to use any external processing data in the operation for purchase order creation, just block the time.
I've used Minimum wait time as 4 days. The problem is Minimum wait time consider all days, and not only workdays.
Can you please suggest how to maintain an operation / work center / material master  to allow me to block X-days only for workdays?
Thanks,
Evgenij

I have overall 5 operation.
- 4 operation, where I want to setup queue time, which CAN be reduced.
-  1 operation with queue time which should be NOT reduced.
For 4 operation I'm going to setup reduction strategy in OPJS and link to each operation, using Std Queue time. So in case of backwards scheduling the lead time can be reduced. Do I need to setup min. queue time in this situation?
I hope you are aware of that if you want to reduce any operation system shortens the operation to min queue time if you do not want this to happen then maintain only standard queue time.
For 1 operation, I'll not use any reduction strategy, just Std Queue time as you suggested. In this case it will remain for scheduling.
Yes if you have maintained only queue time and no reduction strategy then system would considers queue time for lead time scheduling.

  • Wait time

Hi, in our business after machining we need to keep the product in an area for 30 mins. after that the product will be moved to second operation. i think we can capture those 30 mins thru wait time. pls advise where and how to capture that 30 mins. pls note that we want to capture the cost of that 30 mins also. pls suggest.

    Dear,
In work center queue time is your wait interoperation time or in CA01 or CA02 operation details screen minimum wait time has to be enter in the operation (view "Interoperation times")
Then go to transaction CA02 ( change routing ) and schedule routing using following menu:
    Extras -> Scheduling -> Schedule
In scheduling overview screen press on 'Scheduling results' button. Scheduled interoperation time calculated.
Also note the wait time is scheduled according to the Gregorian calendar, i.e. neither a factory calendar nor the capacity of the work center are taken into account.
    Hope clear to you.

  • Courtesy Callback & Reporting Impacts on Wait Time/Average Speed of Answer

    Hello,
With CVP Courtesy callback, if a caller selects to be called back and then hangs up, will that period of time be also considered in the Skill Group's wait times and average speed of answer?  Or is wait time only considered when the caller is physically waiting on the phone?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,
The caller is still considered "queued" for the duration. The CVP app that does the callback is run as a non-interruptable script, and keeps the ICM call active until the decision is made to call back the caller. ICM does not see this as any different from a regular queued call.

  • Wait time minimum

I would like to know which the smallest value than I can use  whith the  function wait time and wait time until ... . Is possible use values less then 1ms like microseconds. Because i have a problem in control with a board 6023E a step motor i need send two signals une    for control the direction and other for control the step but this pulses (step) need have  frquencys  larger than 10000Hz

I'd like to refer you to another thread I was in a while back.  The essentials are:
    1. Use of a 'timed loop' (requires LV 7.1 I think) where the pulsetrain output is the timing source.  This allows iteration speed to be governed at resolutions below 1 msec.
    2. Timed loops get a very high execution priority, so you'll likely get better consistency than you would with 'Wait (msec)'.  Nevertheless, the timing still won't be guaranteed under Windows.
    3. The example I posted doesn't sound like an exact match for your current app, but does illustrate a few ideas you may be able to use.
    4. The example includes a 3rd counter used to count # pulses and verify correct behavior.  As mentioned, you'll need to get rid of everything related to that 3rd counter since your E-series board only has 2 counters.  Also, I wasn't able to test on an E-series board.  I think it should work there, but can't verify.

  • Why does my router disconnect every time I sleep the computer? Why did this only start to happen recently?

Why does my router disconnect every time I sleep the computer? Why did this only start to happen recently?

Actually it does with Ethernet too: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2412?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
What happens when the Mac goes to sleep (not just into idle mode or display sleep)?
    On all Macs:
The microprocessor goes into a low-power mode
Video output is turned off, and a connected display may turn off or enter its own idle state
Apple-supplied hard disks spin down; third-party hard disks may spin down
    On portable Macs:
The Ethernet port turns off, if applicable (see note below)
    Expansion card slots turn off
The built-in modem, if present, turns off (see note below)
An AirPort card, if present, turns off (see note below)
The USB ports only responds to the power key on an external keyboard (see below)
The optical media drive, if present, spins down
Audio input and output turns off
Keyboard illumination, if a feature of your portable computer, turns off
But see the note about selecting, "Wake For Network Access" in Energy Saver preferences.
Note: Portable computers have no network connectivity when in sleep mode, but can wake if the Energy Saver option "Wake for network access" is enabled. If you wish to use file sharing or don't want to interrupt your Internet connection, you should not manually put the computer to sleep, and you should drag the "Computer sleep" slider to Never.

okay, so i bought a movie on apple tv and it says over 2 hours of waiting time! also, it said to lower the resolution so i did, but it didn't help it only made it longer... please HELP!

Sounds as though you have a slow internet connection.
Check on a computer at speedtest.net.
For near instant playback, you need:
    2.5 Mbps for SD
    6 Mbps for 720p HD
    8 Mbps for 1080p HD
Any slower for a given quality and it has to buffer in order to playback without interruption.
The buffering could be minutes or hours depending on how much of teh movie has to buffer.

My Time Capsule backups disappeared (blank black screens) and in trying to set it up again I now find that when TC is plugged in and on (green light) it cancels out wifi reception from my router. I am only using TC as a backup not for wifi. Can anybody help?

Sorry, you have lost me since it appears that you have two completely separate issues here.
All that I can suggest is you start over and try to set up the Time Capsule again first...and then, once that is done and the Time Capsule is working correctly on the network....then, try to troubleshoot the separate Time Machine issue.
If you decide that you want to do this, we'll need some basic information:
Make and model number of your modem?
You are using OS X Mavericks (10.9.3), correct?

  • Wait time from WIP to finished product

    Dear PP experts,
I have a case need your help:
We're a construction company, we have a concrete factory.
Our product (called spun pile) is made from concrete and mixture.
    In put: concrete + admixture
    Out put: spun pile (WIP)
usually, it takes 7 days for a spun pile (WIP) becomes a finished product.
in other cases, we have to speed up the progress, so, we put the spun pile (WIP) into heat oven. It only takes 1 or 2 days for a spun pile (WIP) becomes finished product.
In total, we have production date, called A (date)
We have wait time, called T (days)
We have the date that we can sales finished product, call B (dates) = A + T
Can we manage it in SAP PP? We expect after T days, stock in finished product will be increased, automatically, instead of manually do the stock transfer in SAP MM module.
Please consult me on this. Thanks in advance.

Can you explain your business in this case? If you want to check available in SO, you need to setting waiting time in routing, if you need to receipt into stock, it impossible.

  • How do I switch from linksys router to my time capsul

how do i switch from using a lynksy router to the time capsule. I use time warner a my service provider.  I swtich them out and did the set up works fine for net work but I can not connect to the internet

Whenever you switch routers you must turn off the cable router for a period to allow it to reset the MAC address of the first device to connect. This can be 1min or 15min or longer.. so try shorter period first.. remember the first device that connects to the cable modem captures the IP.
With the whole network off, wait a 1min (or longer) time.
Power on the cable router.. wait 2min for the cable modem to stabilise and connect.
Power on the TC, plugged in to modem.. wait 2min..
    Power on the clients.
If it fails to pick up public IP redo with a longer time.
But this only applies for a cable modem.. if is a modem router combined tell us and we can give a different setup.. ie bridged.

  • 11 hour wait time for movie rental!

Over Christmas I got a 2nd generation Apple TV. I was excited but didn't have the time to try it out until tonight. I rented Iron Man 2 in HD and after letting it load for over an hour, I came back to watch it, only to see a wait time of over 11 hours. Is their anything I can due to speed it up? I have no problems renting movies on my macbook. I'm very frustrated.

I'm not an expert either, but the basic idea is that the DNS servers route the internet traffic and commonly cache web pages to speed them up. DNS services claim to be faster than your internet provider and usually provide some claimed protection against fraudulent sites. They also offer some filtering options.
I was using OpenDNS. You can get the idea of what it does here: http://www.opendns.com/solutions/household/
However, if you don't know what it is, then you're probably not using it. You would have to deliberately set it up.
I may be wrong, but I think the idea that these services cause an issue is that your download has to go through the one place rather than finding the fastest place. So, there is a backlog with lots of people now downloading internet video. I've read in a few spots that this is B.S., but since I'm not a computer engineer, I really don't know either. I can only say that on the one test, it was faster without OpenDNS than it was with it.
I'm going to keep trying and see. I'd rather keep OpenDNS if I can.

  • Trouble with Minimum Queue Time Hook

    Hello,
We have a custom hook named Minimum Queue Time Hook (SY520_T). It works as designed, but we have a slight issue with this cause of the setup of our routing.
    Let me explain.
We use this queue time hook so that after lacquer operation it goes to functional testing. So we need 24 hours before we can put the product to functional testing (24 hours is the time the lacquer takes to dry up.).
Our routing is like this CCO > (pre_Start checks if 24 hours have passed)FT > DONE
now. the problem arises when there is a FAIL in FT.
SO the routing is like this: CCO > FT (OPEN NC) > FT REP > FT > DONE
Now after FT REP it goes back to FT again which checks the pre_Start hook. Now this stirs things up and tells, the FT that there has not been 24 hours passed since the last operation.
So the question is. Is there a script or somekind of way to bypass the second time it checks the pre_Start hook and it ignores the min que time hook?

    Well,
I explained the routing part a bit badly. The routing is CCO > FT > ADE > DONE/SCRAP
IF it fails in FT it goes to FT REP and then again to the same FT! FT REP is only necessary when there are OPEN NC-s.
So we can't use FT2 in routing cause it's the same resource and at the same place.
Here is the picture of the routing:
    Link:[http://i.imgur.com/vrXWy.jpg]
Because the hook is designed to be in the routing, not in the resource, I can't follow your advice.
Is there any other way to bypass the pre-start check when it comes from a rerouting operation?

  • Has anyone successfully used a "WD My Book for Mac" via NAS (plugged into USB port on router) as a Time Machine back-up drive?

Has anyone successfully used a "WD My Book for Mac" via NAS (plugged into USB port on router) as a Time Machine back-up drive? Apple support tech tried to tell me it wasn't possible and that the only NAS Time Machine could back up to is the Time Capsule, but I'm not buying it. I know it's doable, but I'm having a hard time figuring out which External HDDs will work and which ones won't.  If not My Book for Mac, is there an External HDD that will work? (Running OS X 10.9.1 - Mavericks, btw...)

Given the nature of backups, my recommendation has always been to use a strategy that is unequivocally supported by Apple. As you already determined Apple Support unequivocally informed you that your proposal will not work, unless your router is an Apple AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule.
The exhaustive list of devices supported by Time Machine amounts to the following:
AirPort Time Capsule's built-in hard disk (any model)
External USB hard disk drive connected to a Time Capsule (any model)
External USB hard disk drive connected to an AirPort Extreme (current model only)
A hard disk drive directly connected to your Mac
    That is all.
Use whatever backup device you want, but you should be aware that this site is full of reports of misery from hapless individuals who had been using NAS devices for Time Machine backups, only to find that they were incomplete, corrupted, or useless when they were required. Apple won't care if you lose your data while using a Time Machine configuration specifically excluded from their technical support documents.

  • Wait step taking longer time than the defined wait time

    Hi,
We have very simple BPM with 3 steps: Receive, Wait and Send.
    Wait step has following parameters:
    Type: Wait Specified Time Period
    Duration: 1
    Unit: Minutes
    From the above parameters idelly it should wait only for 60 sec and start the next step which is send step. But Wait step is taking following times: 1m 09s,1m 40s, 3m 40s, 1m 41s, 2m 10s, 2m 16s, 2m 46s, 1m 09s, 1m 40s, 3m 39s
Does anyone know what could be the reason for above longer wait time??
    Thx
    N@v!n

    Hi Naveen,
How did you measure these times? Tha additional time might be because of the message processing time included or size of the message is bigger to process.. or may be because of the network traffic..!!
Check the each time stamp from message monitoring tool in RWB and verify for accuracy.

  • How to change wait time-- Urgent

    Hi,
In monitor screen, under status, I am seeing the wait time date as next month date.
So the technical status is yellow in color though the data is loaded.
Where can I change this time.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
When changed Timeout time in Info package it will reflect to particular infopackage only .
If u changed in RSMO tcoe and settings- menutab
Waiting time upto status incorrect - it will reflect to all infopackages.
We can maintain  the value in years, months, days, hours, minutes and second also.
