Rowcount and resultset check - Message Mapping

Hi Experts,
If I don't get the result for the requested value for the synch webservice -> JDBC scenario(without BPM), I have to return "No records found" as a response.
Below, I have mentioned the Source and Target message Type structure.
Source Message Type:
1. JDBC_response
1.1. STATEMENT_response
1.1.1. row
1.1.1.1. EmpId
1.1.1.2. EmpName
1.1.1.3. Address
Target Message Type
1. SOAP_Response
1.1.RESPONSE
1.1.1.row
1.1.1.1. EmpId
1.1.1.2. EmpName
1.1.1.3. Address
1.1.2 Error Description
1. What function we have to use in the userdefined function to find the rowcount or to do the resultset check?
2. If the rowcount is zero, then I have to return the Error Description as a response. Where to mention the Error Description field. It should be under <b>row</b> or ?

Sara

Map the EmpID,EmpName,Address direct mapping from source.
The logic is , if there is no response rows then it will give the Error Description alone. Similarly if there is resposnse row it won't give the Errordescription. Kindly have a look and let me know whether it matches ur reqmt.
Best regards,
raj.

  • Returning rowcount and resultset from stored procedure

    Hello,
In SQL Server you can return multiple resultsets from stored procedure by simple SELECT statement. But in Oracle, you have to use SYS_REFCURSOR.
    Sample code:
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE sp_resultset_test IS
    t_recordset OUT SYS_REFCURSOR
    BEGIN
    OPEN t_recordset FOR
    SELECT * FROM EMPLOYEE;
    END sp_resultset_test;
Is there any other way in Oracle 10 or 11 ?
    Thank You.

What is the requirement? Oracle is far more flexible than SQL-Server... with numerous features that do not exist in SQL-Server. (Fact)
One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to treat Oracle like SQL-Server... trying to match feature A1 in SQL-Server to feature B3 in Oracle.
Does not work that way.. rather then stick to SQL-Server as SQL-Server does SQL-Server specific features far better than Oracle.
So instead of trying to map what a T-SQL stored proc to do to an Oracle ref cursor (even to the extent of using that very silly sp_ prefix to name the proc), tell us the problem and requirements... That way we can tell you what Oracle features and options are best used to solve that problem - instead of competing in some unknown feature comparison event with SQL-Server.

I had configured some message mapping object and averything was ok. I could activate that and do the test of mapping. When I try to change dependecies in that object I see this error. Now I can not even activate that object and test it. Now when I try to create and configure new message mapping I have got the same problem.
What I have to do in that situation?
    Can somebody help me?

  • Error in message mapping of IDoC Invoic02

    Hi,
i have imported the invoic02 idoc into PI system. i have mapped the required field os idoc with standard XSD which is imported through ED. I'm able to most of the fields with idoc and XSD. however, some of the node in xsd are repaeting.
so here the part of xsd with which i'm mapping.
    (first_node)ListOfTaxSummary                      0..1
    (second_parent_node)TaxSummary                   1..unboubed
    (child_node) tax                                 1..1
    (element)TaxAmount                                0..1
    (element)TaxCategoryCoded                         0..1
here the i have mapped  ListOfTaxSummary    with the idoc node E1EDS01
    TaxSummary  with E1EDS01
    tax with E1EDS01.
i tried all possibilities with different mapping. but i'm able to get the tax node under taxsummary with the element. the problem its been repeated as  E1EDS01 idoc repeats.
please help us in solving this problem.
    Thanks
    Kind regards,
    Lalitkumar.

Could someone tell me is there any relation for the above error in XML messages and to the message mapping?
The error mentions that you have used an IDOC in your mapping program which is not found in the ESR....you need to check if the IDOC is present in the ESR and is present under the correct SWCV.
Once you have done the check do some dummy change to the mapping and activate it (if in DEV) and then check the CACHE.

  • Error in Message Mapping "Target message IDOC: ORDRSP.ORDERS02 does not exi

    Hi,
I have joined newly to the team.
When I tried to open one message mapping it throwinf follwing error...
"Target message IDOC: ORDRSP.ORDERS02 does not exist in software component version ID: 44423362454456485465..
Check whether the software component version ID: 44423362454456485465 is in Enterprise Service Repository. Import this version if necessary"
Is there any impact because of which in the message flow?
In my case some of the messages are failing with mapping error "runtime exception occured during application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_SUS2MMOrderResponse_; java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.util.Map.get(java.lang.Object) of an object loaded from field com.sap.aii.map`"
And some of the messages are processed sucessfully and they also using the same mapping program 'SUS2MMOrderResponse'.
Could someone tell me is there any relation for the above error in XML messages and to the message mapping?

  • Message Mapping Transformation error in E-filing GB

    Hi All,
I am running the E-filing GB interface and at the Message mapping I get Process Error:
The source structure, target structure, or a function library has been changed or could not be found in the Enterprise Services Repository. The mapping definition contains elements or attributes that do not exist in the changed structure, or functions that were changed in a function library. The relevant entries will be deleted.

I have already tested a few steps like:
    1. We have applied the latest patch to E-filing GB. This did not help solve the problem.
    2. Tested the Message Mapping. No error at Message Mapping.
Is there anything we are missing out on?? Please suggest.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
for me its looks cache issue, did you changed structure of source and target ?? check your function liabraris code,it is valid or not.

  • Changing datatype, afterwards Message-Mapping cannot produce target element

    Hi,
    we use PI/700.
I changed a working system by changing a datatype of an existing message (adding a new element). My interface mapping contains two mappings: an XSL-Mapping and afterwards a Message-Mapping.
My interface mapping looks like this:
    Message-Type A ->
          XSL-Mapping ->
    Message-Type B ->
          Message-Mapping ->
    Message-Type B
When I test each mapping alone everything works fine (with the new element I added).
But if I test my interface mapping in IBD with both mappings together, I'll get an error:
"Cannot produce target element /MT_EDM_OUTBOUND_LASTGANG_TO_SAP/LASTGANG/MASSEINHEIT. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd".
Is it possible that XI has problems in refreshing the XSDs?
    I tried this:
    (1) I changed my Message-Mapping and now all elements are mapped 1:1 -> no success!
    (2) Later I changed my Message-Mapping and build in "exists" with "if" to check whether the element "MASSEINHEIT" is generated by the XSL-Mapping -> It doesn't exists (??? - WHY? - when I test it, everything works fine)
    (2) Afterwards I changed my interface mapping and take only the XSL-Mapping (without the following Message-Mapping) -> the element "MASSEINHEIT" exists now!
    I'm totally confused!
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    Wolfgang Hummel

    Hi,
If you have made structural changes to the data type..such as number of fields have decreased/increased..or some new fld altogether, then you have to activate the datatype..goto message mapping and then re-do the mapping...but if you have made "typo" changes like names have been changed, etc..then i think it should be alrite..i have sometimes made changes to my datatype, but after activating it, i had to redo the mapping..that was it!...the rest would fall into place:) No changes had to be made in the interface mapping..

  • Parameterized Message Mapping (RFCLookup) test in ESB message behaviour

    Hi Gurus,
I am using parameterized message mapping using RFCLookup function
In the TEST tab of the mapping, I've provided my test xml instance message and inputted the Message Mapping Parameter (MMP) value with the RFC Receiver Communication Channel I am using,
looking at the Trace level in the editor, the source field value was put to the RFC as the import parameter, but the mapping fails with error that the RFC returned my defined exception (no POnumber available for MaterialNumber) --> which is not the expected result because in the ERP backend there is an existing PO for the material.    I tested the RFC in the backend ERP itself and it is performing ok, with a PO number returned for the material (testing in SE37)
I checked on the Comm Channel and my message is being passed to the RFC adapter, but up to this point only:
RfcAdapter received a synchronous message. Trying to send sRFC for Z_RFC_NAME.
RfcAdapter received a synchronous message. Trying to send sRFC for PIREPUSER.
I have created the Binding for the Operation Mapping.
Would any of you have an idea on what is missing or what is wrong?
P.S.   my RFC has a defined exception in it, but currently I am not using it in the RFCLookup  mapping (unchecked "Use Exception" checkbox)

    Hi All,
Solved the issue by passing the complete length of input parameter as defined in my RFC, e.g. input param in RFC is TYPE to a 12 char field, and the input parameter value being passed by the IDoc is only 6 chars.
In this case i used formatNumber function to put leading zeroes to complete the input parameter length
    sourceField -->formatNumber --> RFCLookup --> targetField
Weird behaviour though is that even if my message is successfully received in the receiving system, the RFC CommChannel that my RFCLookup is using is still only showing this:
2010-12-01 23:14:32 Information RfcAdapter received a synchronous message. Trying to send sRFC for Z_FM_NAME.
2010-12-01 23:14:32 Information RfcAdapter received a synchronous message. Trying to send sRFC for J2EE_GUEST.
Why isn't the whole request response of the RFC captured by the RFC adapter?  (e.g. MDT has status DLVG, DLV...)

  • Message mapping - Duplicate subtree

    Hi Experts,
I am working on 7.0 server.
In the existing message mapping I found that target nodes are duplicated.
    For example
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp[1]
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp
And the order for the node in the target message structure is same as above.
And in the output, the order is reversed as below
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp[1]
But when am duplicating one more node in the existsing mapping the order is
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp[2]
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp[1]
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp
    And now the output is
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp[2]
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp[1]
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp
But I need the output as
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp[1]
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp[2]
Please let me know if you have faced similar issue.
If am creating a new message mapping and duplicating the subtrees the order is given below
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp
    /ns0:FiletoFile_ib_mt/Record/Emp[1]
Why in the existing mapping duplicate subtree is going in the top order and for new message mapping duplicate subtree is going in the bottom. Please advice
    Thanks
    Suma S

    Hi Lucas
I checked this sap note but I used PI 7.0.
This happens from 7.10 onwards and this is primarily due to the reason that the occurence of the duplicated node was not remembered when the mapping program gets executed. So, the mapping program was expecting data from the payload for the duplicated node and hence the error

  • Message Mapping Vs Interface Mapping

What are the differences between Message Mapping and Interface Mapping?

    Hi,
    Message mapping
    1) Transformation from one message structure to another message structure
    2) Message Mapping is nothing but a set of rules for producing target XML from the source XML according to business requirement. These rules are nothing but relations between the source XML tags and target XML tags
    3) 4 types(graphical, java, xslt, abap) mapping
    4) You can check whether a complete message mapping functions at runtime once you have described it, by using the Test tab page.
    Interface mapping
    1) Interface mapping registers a pair of interfaces for a scenario and specifies the message mapping to be used
    2) you can execute multiple mapping programs consecutively
    3) To check whether an interface mapping that you have defined functions at runtime, test the interface mapping on the Test tab page.
    Limitations
    1) value mapping table cannot be accessed here
    2) runtime constants of the mapping runtime are not set,but set to dummy values.
    differences
message mapping you declare how the source message will be mapped to the the target message.
What source field will be mapped to the target field and any conditions for it to happen.
interface mapping you define what interfaces that will be communicating with each other. You will also see what message mapping the interfaces are using to exchange data. You need to do the message mapping before you do the interface mapping to get it correct.
    Other releated things
->I think there can be Interface mappings without any Message mappings. This will work properly if both the source and target interfaces are of same type.
There might be less sense in these scenarios but they cannot be ruled out. They can help at times.
Interface mappings register your mapping program for an interface pair in the Integration Repository. If you require a mapping at runtime, it is sufficient to select the interface mapping for the interface pair at configuration time.
->The Integration Server uses the interface mapping to identify associated mapping programs for request messages, response messages, fault messages, or all three.
You can also create multiple interface mappings for the same interface pair.

  • Function Module Undefined during message mapping.

    Hi,
My Scenario is Idoc to Multiple Files without any condition i have to drop 2 files at the 2 differient directories of  FTP,
So we are using PI 7.1 and in the Message Mapping using Signature Tab we have added 2 Target messages and at the source we have used the IDOC.
When we see the structure under Definition Tab in Message Mapping, We are facing the below error
    "FUNCTION MODEL UNDEFINED"
So can anyone suggest what could be the problem, do i need to change any occurence in the signature tab for the message types else what shuld i do to get the structures in the Definiton Tab.
Please suggest how to approach this..
    Thanks,

My Scenario is Idoc to Multiple Files without any condition i have to drop 2 files at the 2 differient directories of FTP,
    1. Use multi mapping - /people/jin.shin/blog/2006/02/07/multi-mapping-without-bpm--yes-it146s-possible
    2. use two different inbound interfaces, and do two different interface determination without conditions for the same receiver determination

  • Message mapping tab works fine ,runtime exception

    Hi ,
Need some advice... I get a runtime messge mapping error ( system error) failing the substring logic although when i download the same payload and run in test tab it works fine. Has anyone encountered similar issue ?
    Thank you.

objects are active.Your second point is good ,but this error only happens when a load test is done , partciular messages throw runtime exception and fail in mapping on substring logic but when the same payload is downloaded and run via message mapping tabl it runs through. i will try disabling the substring logic nodes.
Secondly when i get a runtime exception ,i try to restart the same message and it goes thorugh successfully. So restarting in moni helps.... but does not explain why....
    Thanks

  • Insufficient authorization to display object Message Mapping

    Hi there
Every now and then when I try and open a message mapping object I get this error: Insufficient authorization to display object Message Mapping. I then restart my Integration Builder then it works again.
Any Idea how I would fix this?
    Thanks,
    Jan

    hi,
apart from what was said you can try changing
    com.sap.aii.ib.util.server.auth.activation
    parameter in exchangeprofile to false
if you don't use any data-dependent authorizations
then you should never see this error
    maybe this will help
but remember that if you want to use data-dependent authorizations
in the future you need to put it back to true again

  • Message Mapping(Display queue and Suppress Value)

    Hi Experts,
In Message Mapping(graphical mapping), upon checking the properties of the nodes, there's one property display queue, in which suppress is there??
What does it mean?? Which queue it points and what value is suppressed??
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sushama

    Hi Sushama,
    SUPPRESS means no value.
suppose we are checking one condition (tdid = "RE" then pass tdline) based on the condition we will send one output. if the condition fails then suppress value goes to the target.
    > What does it mean?? Which queue it points and what value is suppressed??
es:  if(tdid.equals("WE") ifwithoutelse pass tdline value as output.    [tdid is in E1EDKA1 segment and this segment occurance is multiple]
In this case if the condition is satisfied once and failed once (means E1EDKT1 segment comes 2 times) then first time it sends the corresponding tdline value and second time it sends the SUPPRESS value.
    Regards
