RPE-01003
I have a problem. When I executing main process flow, after restarting database, the first, second and third are finishing sucessfull. But when I'm executing this process flow fourth time
it shows the error:
RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing
Windows XP
RDBMS: Oracle Database 9i Server for Windows
Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g Release 1 (10.1)
immediate solution... just stop the service and start the service (OWB), which will work...
I had a tar with Oracle ...couldnt able to solve by them a week or so...(quite while ago)

Process Flow log shows RPE-01003 on mapping execution
Process Flow log shows this following error mappings execution:
oracle.wh.runtime.platform.adapter.InfrastructureException: RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing.
- no rows found for select into statement
The Process Flow never recover from this error - owb_owner.all_rt_audit_executions shows the mapping in BUSY and I have to manually abort the process flow to recover.
Steps to Reproduce Problem:
We recently upgrade our test system from *10.2 into 11.1* and OWB client from *10.2.0.3 into 10.2.0.4*
During the upgrade DBA update OWB location setting into 11.1
After the upgrade, I re-deploy several Process Flows, but I did not re-deploy mappings that get call by the PF
When I run the PF, the mapping was stuck in 'BUSY' status (owb_owner.all_rt_audit_executions)
When i check the log it shows this following error:
oracle.wh.runtime.platform.adapter.InfrastructureException: RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing.
- no rows found for select into statement

Hello.
I am in a bit of a pickle right now after upgrading OWB from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3, and I'm here requesting a sanity check. Due to the need of a database upgrade, OWB also has to be upgraded and the data warehouse that has been functional and stable for a long time on 10g needs to be migrated to 11g. So this is main deal:
I just want to migrate all mappings and workflows and run them as before. I do not want to redeploy as that will force an enormous effort to regression test everything.
So the OWB upgrade went seemingly well. Everything runs as before. The problem started when I tested deployment of a mapping and subsequently
1. Deployment of a mapping goes well.
2. Deployment of the process flow goes well.
3. Deployment of a mapping that is run in a process flow however causes problems when the process flow is executed.
The deployment goes well. However the mapping fails when I run the process flow with the following error:
RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing: no rows found for select into statement.
I subsequently sync the mapping in the process flow redeploy the process flow. Now ALL the other mappings in the process flow that have not been redeployed since the upgrade fails with the same error. However the one that failed before is executed correctly. If I redeploy all the other mappings (which can be dozens) it works, but now I'm faced with a serious regression testing period.
Personally I have a couple of theories that I hope you can debunk or possibly verify.
1. It might be location oriented. I say that because my locations are a bit... iffy. When I redeploy some mappings in some locations it always insists on redeploying the connector (regardless if I deploy it stand-alone right before), and my location passwords are never "remembered" between sessions.
2. I do not have specific knowledge about how workflows are generated in the repository, but if it's run by ID, maybe a new ID is generated for the mapping when it is redeployed, and subsequently the process flow gets a new ID when it gets redeployed?
I hope someone has seen this before and can get me on the right track. Thanks very much. Here is a log that also illustrates the problem.
First workflow which does not have a redeployed workflow goes okay. That is WF_BOOKED_PRODUCT_020:MAP_BOOKED_PRODUCT_020.
The second workflow, WF_BOOKED_PRODUCT_030:MAP_BOOKED_PRODUCT_030, that is the one that has the redeployed mapping fails.

Error RPE-01008 and RPE-01003 if i execute a process flow
Hi,
if i execute a process flow, once the process flow worked fine. If i execute at another time the process flow didn't work with the following error messages:
RPE-01008: Wiederherstellung dieser Anforderung ist in Bearbeitung.
RPE-01003: Die Anforderung konnte wegen einer Infrastructure-Bedingung nicht abgeschlossen werden.
Any ideas?
thanks a lotHave you tried any of previously reported errors on this forum to see if any of them relates to your case?

Hello,
We are facing a very strange problem while running process flows in OWB. We are getting followig error when we execute process flows.
InfrastructureException: RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing.
- Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
It's strange because we are able to connect to source and target database outside owb. Also, the location test is successful. Any idea why it fails to connect while running process flow only. We tested the db links created by owb. They work as well.
We are using OWB 10.2 on Oracle 10G installed on Linux RAC machines.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

what is the problem and how i can to resolve it ?
thank for your assistance.Usually the RPE1003 is caused by a remote database not being available, which could be explained by the "ORA-01089: fermeture immédiate en cours - aucune opération n'est autorisée" message you're getting.
In any case, when a database is shutting down, logically no actions are permitted. -
RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completin
Hi,
I am using OWB 10g R2 with Oracle DB 10g R2 in Linux server.
When I execute a mapping it gives the following error at sometimes and completes successfully sometimes or it hangs and shows running status most of the time.
Error: Io exception: the network adapter could not establish the connection
I have checked for any network errors in the server and the server is clean.
Can this error occur due to network issues or do I have to change any parameters.
Can anyone help me with resolving this error?
Thanks in advance!

If this problem occurs only with Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit, I find it rather pointless to go after it. I would be cautious to use or support a tool which throws assertion errors in my face. I am really sorry to say this, but for the moment I see no other alternatives for you than either to downgrade to Oracle 10gR1 or (if you absolutely need Oracle 10gR2) to migrate to a 32-bit environement.
If you have 64x-bit Solaris systems, you can eventually try JChem Cartridge with Oracle 10gR2 64-bit for Solaris -- as far as I know nobody has tested this combination yet. You may have luck with Solaris, but my gut feeling is that the Aurora assertion failure will occur on that platform too.
also , It appears that the problem can be avoided by installing Oracle Database 10g Products from the Oracle Database Companion CD. -
Owb 10g R1: errors RPE-01003 and ORA-20003
We are calling our mapping within an Oracle 9.2 function. Every step of the mapping executes without errors. But after executing the last step (sending an e-mail) following errors are occcuring:
ORA-20003: The object is not in a valid state for the requested operation ORA-06512: at "OWB_RUN.WB_RTI_EXCEPTIONS", line 94 ORA-06512: at "OWB_RUN.WB_RTI_SERVICE_EXECUTION", line 195 ORA-06512: at "OWB_RUN.WB_RT_SERVICE_CONTROL", line 167 ORA-06512: at line 1
But all the DB-Objects are valid ! What's the matter. Can anybody help us ?Rotimi,
This message indicates that the object you try to execute is invalid with compilation errors. In the database you would see that the object has errors because for example: referencing tables cannot be found (because they had not been deployed or you do not have privileges to them), statements are invalid (e.g. in expressions), etc. If you try to execute a mapping that is invalid you will get these errors. Needless to say, you have to fix the fact that the mapping is invalid before you can execute it.
Thanks,
Mark. -
Error in OWB:RPE-01008: Recovery of this request is in progress
I am not able to deploy OWB objects. I get the error RPE-01008: Recovery of this request is in progress.
The MDL file was created using 10.2 OWB. Now I have Upgraded the MDL using OWB before importing the MDL to 11.2. This error comes while deployment.

Another issue I found while running the service_doctor.sql is that the port that OWB was by default trying to connect was 1521. However the DB port was 1522. So I updated an owb table with the port number.Sorry I forgot the name of the table. However I still have the error while deploying, but deployment is shown as sucessful, so Iam ignoring it.. RPE-01008 and RPE-01009 when executing flatfile mappings
Hi all,
I'm experiencing problems when executing a flatfile mapping on a large source file. My source-file is around 450Mb in size and contains around 2,5 Million records. When executing the generated SQL*LOADER control-file by hand all works fine. When executing the generated control-file through OWB on a smaller file also no problem occurs. But when executing the mapping on the large file the following error's are raised:
RPE-01008: Recovery of this request is in progress.
RPE-01009: Completion of this task could not be completed due to an earlier system failure.
(See also log below)
I'm using OWB 9.2.0 on Solaris, but the problem occurs on a Windows2000 platform also.
Does anyone know what could be going wrong? Or is there anyone experiencing the same problem?
Thx! in advantage!

Back in 'the olden days" (i.e. the OWB9.0.3 days, mid 2003 onwards - for me anyway) it was Mark van der Wiel, Jean-Pierre Dijcks, Igor Machin and Nikolai Rochnik providing answers on the OWB forum.
For various reasons, only JP remained in the OWB team (and maybe even that has changed now...), since I haven't been a 'frequent flyer' since Dec2007, I lost track of that.
Even with a number of faithful developer contributors, it's good to now there are still some 'insiders' active on the forum :-)

RPE-01008 when trying to load more records
Hi All,
I've experienced some strange errors while running workflow with large data (around 2.5 milions of records). I'm working with OWB 11.1, Oracle Workflow 2.6.4 on Linux (everything on the same server).
Everything gets created and deployed via OMB script correctly (it has passed tests on the other server with the same configuration but with smaller amount of records - around 500.000).
When I execute process flow (which is loading 2 mappings) I get:
RPE-01008 : Recovery of this request is in progress.
Dimensions and a simpler mapping is loaded correctly, looks like the more complicated mapping (table function + aggregator) hangs up.
Piece of log file with NullPointerException:

RPE-01038: Failed to evaluate expression null.
Hi, gurus! :)
Upon executing a process flow, I got the following error message:
RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing.
RPE-01038: Failed to evaluate expression null. Please modify the expression, redeploy and retry again.
RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing.
RPE-02227: Cannot test Control Center user OWF_MGR. This user must match the login credentials of the evaluation location configured on owning module.
RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing.
java.lang.NullPointerException
I suspect I got this error from improper use of parameters (just started using). I've searched for answers in the internet, still I am not sure how to efficiently and correctly use parameters. I'm dealing with this "literal" confusion. I would like to confirm the following:
1. If a local parameter is an integer, how should I set the value and literal field? (say, set value to 0, literal = true?)
2. How about for while loops? The condition is automatically a string. If I use the paramater par_loc, how should I write it (say, par_loc < 100).
3. For Assign operators, data type is also an automatic string. What if I want to have an integer value? Or maybe an integer value thru an expression? (e.g. par_loc + 20).
The questions above somehow summarize the activity I created.
I'll try to do more tests and research and give you an update if I found any solution.
Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thank you, gurus!
Manoy :)Thanks, Carsten! :)
I applied what you suggested. I still got the same error.
1. Defined the parameter via local variable --> same error as above
2. Defined it under start activity --> got a new error:

Also one more finding is that, whenever the Metadata Load program runs, the password of DMW_RO_ACCESS user, used in Remote Location, gets changed.
Can someone please help us out.You need to check whether this function(PunchoutSiteInfoVOImpl.initQuery(Ljava/lang/Integer;)) exist in this class file or not.
Simply decompile PunchoutSiteInfoVOImpl class , check initQuery function exist with parameter Integer.

OMB Script - Run a process flow (OMBSTART) with input parameters.
I have a process flow with one input parameter : PF_SCHEMA_NAME. This is a string, literal value = false.
While running this from the OWB Control center UI, it prompts for value of parameter.
I need to execute this process flow using OMB script.
OMBSTART PROCESS_FLOW 'WMREPORT_INCR_DAILY_FCT_SIMP' IN '$OWFLOCATION' OVERRIDE CUSTOM_PARAMETER ('PF_SCHEMA_NAME') VALUES ('ADVIEWPROD')
This gives following error:
OMBSTART PROCESS_FLOW 'WMREPORT_INCR_DAILY_FCT_SIMP' IN 'OWF_LOCATION' OVERRIDE CUSTOM_PARAMETER ('PF_SCHEMA_NAME') VALUES ('ADVIEWPROD')
Starting Execution WMREPORT_INCR_DAILY_FCT_SIMP

But your suggestion did not work. I am still getting the same error.

Problems with setting up the wait in a process flow
Hi,
I have process flow where I need to use a wait function.
The value of minimum_delay is set to 30
literal = true
the value of until_date I've been trying to set to a appropriate date format that is consistent with the default in the database.
When doing this I get the error message ORA-01841: (full) year must be between -4713 and +9999, and not be 0
setting the value of until_date to null and literal still true gives me the error ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error. Setting the literal to false also gives me this error.
Does anyone know how I can set this up correctly? And if its possible, not use the until_date parameter.
any help is appreciated
regards,
Ragnar

rhaugThanks for your replies:
I've tried running the Processflow with different parameters.
The processflow I am trying to run is in its own Module, with just one processflow, and the wait is the only activity in this.
Its a nice mix of english and norwegian in the error messages, but I'll try to translate as best I can.
