RRI? How to call ITS URL and pass field value from Bex Query.

I am doing RRI from query to webaddress,
i have defined jump(report type: webaddress and reicver report as url) from shopping cart bex query(SRM ) to webaddres.
here url is SRM ITS base link for monitoring shoppingcart(http://(hostname):(SRM port)/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbp_mon_sc?sap-client=200&sap-language=EN).
jump is working from portal(from bex query ivew).
but i want to pass value(shopping cart value) to above url and want to skip first screen.
i have maintained assignment detail by assigning field name against shopping cart infoobject with type url parameter, but its not directly call reciver url with given input field.
i tried the diffrent combination of url and field assignment as like below:
1: web address url:http://(hostname):(SRM port)/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbp_mon_sc?sap-client=200&sap-language=EN
assigned field: GS_HEADER-OBJECT_ID
but when we call reciver url from portal bex ivew, only initial screen come with page url as below:

I have seen the source code of that url(inital screen and after entring the value to that screen) too.
how to call webadress(SRM ITS base shopping cart URL) with passing the one of field value of that url screen?

I want to pass a field value from the popup window to oninput processing of main page ( from where popup window is triggered). and need to close the popup window. How to do it ?
In the popup window's oninputprocessing, im doing some validation checks. If it passes all the validations, then only the control shd come to main page ..else it should stay in popup window only .

Hi Jothi,
you can use java script to pass the value and close your popup window. use the following code.
in your popup window:
function passData(h1)
         window.opener.document.getElementById('var1').value = h1 ;
         window.close();
then call this function when you finish your validations.
in your main page layout create an input field with id as passed in the function above "var1".
In the value attribute give it your variable as follow:
<htmlb:inputField id      = "var1"
                          value   = "<%= var2 %>"
                          visible = "false" />
"var2" will be assigned the value from your popup window.

How to remove pound symbol # and preserve leading zeros in BEx Query

Hi,
I have two questions regarding the display in BEx Query.
1. How can I remove the pound symbol # for blanks in BEx Query?
2. How can I preserve leading zeros? At the moment, value "001" will be displayed as "1". But I need the leading zeros.

Hi ,
You can apply these settings in Bex query designer.
If you need to remove pound symbol jsut make a new formula and use NODIM function you will find this function under data functions.
So NODIM(Your price keyfigure) this will remove the Pound symbol.
For # just find out against which characterstic you are getting # then go to default values panel there you will find all your characterstic which you are using in report---Rt click -Restrict-single valuesdirect input-#-Move to selection(That forward arrow)--select that # and choose exclude from selection (That red square icon).

Passing field value from appoinment into task

Hi,
I need to pass the field values from appointment into the task. I was able to pass values from one record type to another but in this case as both appointment and task belong to the same record type namely activity and they are having the same foreign key namely ActivityId.
So any one please tell me , is it possible to pass values from appointment in to the task or not ?
If so how?

Write a workflow and select the field you want to copy the value into in the Field Name and the value you want to copy in value field, you don't need to use joinfieldValue at all.

Passing field values from View Controller to Custom Controller

Hi Experts,
I am working on a customer requirment in which customer want to see the values of field from one view in another view. The Context node & Context node attribute are the same in both the views.
I am aware that we need to pass the field values from view controller to custom controller in order to see the field in the subsequent view. I would like to kow how i can achieve that technically?

I want the fields ID_TYPE & ID_TYPE_DESCRIPTION from IUICMD/SearchAccount to be available in IUICMD/DetailAccount. I have created a context node u201CSEARCHu201D in view IUICMD/DetailAccount. I have created the context node with out choosing u201CCreate with Instanceu201D. This Context node (SEARCH) is already available in IUICMD/SearchAccount as part of the standard.

How to call Instance Methods and set property values in BAPI?

In Project systems, for the three business objects viz.
Network, ProjectDefinition and WBS, there are two kinds of methods which are available : class methods and instance methods. We have tried calling some instance methods, for instance, BAPI_PROJECTDEF_GETDETAIL to get details pertaining to a project. While importing this BAPI, it shows two elements for mapping i.e. Current Internal Project(string) and Current External Project(string). We supplied these values for an existing project. Upon running this call through an XML client at our end, it
returned an error "Module Unknown Exception". This general message is present on every instance method thus far. Upon searching in BAPI Explorer for Project System->ProjectDefinition->GetDetail, we found that this BAPI didn't take any input parameter.
Following message was displayed in BAPI Exlorer for this BAPI:
"... Obligatory import parameters are the external and internal keys CURRENTEXTERNALPROJE and CURRENTINTERNALPROJE of the project definition.The system reads parameters contained in the structure
BAPI_PROJECT_DEFINITION_EX ..."
i) How to supply the values of Obligatory import parameters.
ii) What are the possible causes of this exception.
iii) How to call an instance method. We are using same mechanism for calling class as well as instance methods so far, we have been to call only class level methods successfully. Is there anything special that we
need to do to call instance methods.

what version is the SAP PS running? If WebAs or higher, create an inbound synch interface containing your two parameters in the request structure and as many as you require in your response structure. Generate an Inbound ABAP proxy, where you can plug in some code, i.e. create and instantiate an object of the required type and make the call to the BAPI.
If SAP PS on lower than WebAs, then create a wrapper function module and make it RFC enabled. Then plug your code in here and do the same thing.

I have prompt in Bex query and want to pass values to query prompt through xcelsius .
In xcelsius i have selection
e.g 1] Combo selection is for Vendor
2] Combo selection is for Fiscal Year
If i select value from Combo list and refresh the dashboard im getting below error

Cant pass field values from page to page!!!!

this issue might be difficult to believe it exist!!!! but yes unfortunately i am having it and i just don't know what to do about it....
my case is ...
i have 3 text fields in a page and i want to send their values to another page that has 3 display only text fields i tried the " branch to " and set the items with the correspondent values it didn't work !!!
i tried setting the text field itself in the target page to take the value of the item in the previous page (this is in the source section of the item) also didn't work ....
and i have no clue why this is not working or maybe i missed doing something else....it was working the first time i run the page but now it doesn't
if any1 can help me please

Hello, the first things you should check:
1) Are there multiple branches that can fire on the event? eg. some unconditionals?
If you have some unconditional branch that fires on the page too, set the button branch above that one.
2) Change the fieldtype to text in the "reciever" page
Also, your picture http://i43.tinypic.com/10wmeqg.jpg is very low quality.. So I could not see if you in fact have a dot (punctuation) in the value field?
eg.: &Pxxx_yyy*.*
Also you might want to consider if you can in fact stay on the same page, if the data is related and there is not very much data.
I have made some pages lately, which traditionally one would make maybe 15 pages of.. I used 2 pages and conditional display.
For choosing what to display, I use a hidden field.
The hidden field gets a value, let's say: POSTCODE
Then there is a condition, display if the field contains for instance POSTCODE.
This is not related to your problem, but it is good for RAD where it can be used.

Calling a report and passing values!!

Hi Experts,
i have a requirement. I have a report [zrep1] with billing doc field and shipment field on the selection screen.
The logic for billing document is written. Im writing logic for shipment numbers. I am finding the billing documents of delivaries for each shipment.
I want to pass those billing documents as input to the same report program [zrep1] for the existing billing document code to get the output.
How to call the same report and pass the values from internal table as input to it.
Please suggest the way to proceed. i knw it is possible.

My JDBC program basically needs two command line args. Rabge_Start_Dt and Range_End_Dt. for ex:
2001-05-31 and 2001-06-01 . And my porgram should run every day. Next day the date range will be 2001-06-01 to some date. It means I have to store some how the range_end_dt and pass it as range_start_dt when my program runs the next day.
Problem:
How can I store the Data variable and pass it as an argument to my porgram when It runs next time. Every time my pogram runs It should pick the range start_dt (==range_end_dt of the previuos run) and end_dt I have to go and query some other data base and pass that value to it.
