RSA Premaster Secret Error - Linux - Spark-angels
Config : Debian testing AMD64 + ia32-sun-java6-bin
Spark-angels works fine using Virtualbox/XP on the box.
I can run it directly from Debian, but when i try to connect to the peer, i got :

May i have an explanation about "KeyGenerator not available" using the "official" java package ?
Should i conclude that parts of java are missing in the Linux version ?
Thx for your answers.
No idea what your problem is, but someone with similar setup was suggested to use the unlimited strength policy files: [http://www.crossftp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4659&sid=03334acc386ee2f62dc6b7f2aa158228|http://www.crossftp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4659&sid=03334acc386ee2f62dc6b7f2aa158228]. Of course the OP never responded so who knows. It's worth a shot.
Also a Sun bug [http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6382135|http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6382135] that was blamed possibly on classpath issues.
Not that this is the problem, but why not use 64-bit VM?

I have received error "[javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException: RSA premaster secret error]
caused by [java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Cannot find any provider supporting RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding]"
when running the following code snippet from command line[b]:
TrustManager[] trustAllCerts = new TrustManager[]{
new X509TrustManager() {
public java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] getAcceptedIssuers() {
return null;
public void checkClientTrusted(
java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) {
public void checkServerTrusted(
java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) {
// Install the all-trusting trust manager
SSLContext sc = SSLContext.getInstance("SSL");
sc.init(null, trustAllCerts, new java.security.SecureRandom());
HttpsURLConnection.setDefaultSSLSocketFactory(sc.getSocketFactory());
URL url = new URL("https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/");
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(
new InputStreamReader(
url.openStream()));
String inputLine;
while ((inputLine = in.readLine()) != null)
System.out.println(inputLine);
in.close();Specially, the error only occurs when using JDK 1.5.0_07-b03 on Solaris platform.
I have tried using other JDK versions (e.g: 1.4.2_09-b05, etc...) and NOT see the error.
This is very strangle! It may be a bug of this JDK version?!!!
The below is all providers available on this JDK; search among these providers
I've found out a unusual point that we see no any provider implementing RSA.
So I doubt that this missing can lead to error
[java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Cannot find any provider supporting RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding]
------------------- All providers avaible on JDK 1.5.0_07-b03, Solaris platform ------------
SUN = SUN (DSA key/parameter generation; DSA signing; SHA-1, MD5 digests; SecureRandom;
X.509 certificates; JKS keystore; PKIX CertPathValidator; PKIX CertPathBuilder; LDAP, Collection CertStores)
SunRsaSign = Sun RSA signature provider
SunJSSE = Sun JSSE provider(PKCS12, SunX509 key/trust factories, SSLv3, TLSv1)
SunJCE = SunJCE Provider (implements DES, Triple DES, Blowfish, PBE, Diffie-Hellman, HMAC-MD5, HMAC-SHA1)
SunJGSS = Sun (Kerberos v5)
SunSASL = Sun SASL provider(implements client mechanisms for: DIGEST-MD5, GSSAPI, EXTERNAL, PLAIN, CRAM-MD5; server mechanisms for: DIGEST-MD5, GSSAPI, CRAM-MD5)
For the other JDK versions, we can see "implements RSA" and then everything works fine!
------------------- All providers avaible on other JDK versions, Windows/Solaris platform ------------
SUN = SUN (DSA key/parameter generation; DSA signing; SHA-1, MD5 digests; SecureRandom; X.509 certificates; JKS keystore; PKIX CertPathValidator; PKIX CertPathBuilder; LDAP, Collection CertStores)

SunJCE = SunJCE Provider (implements DES, Triple DES, AES, Blowfish, PBE, Diffie-Hellman, HMAC-MD5, HMAC-SHA1)
SunJGSS = Sun (Kerberos v5)
I have downloaded and installed the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files version 5.0
but the error still occurs!
Does anybody know how to fix this error? Please!!!

0490: C2 3C BC 59 07 FB 84 9A CE 6F 38 6I have received error "[javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException: RSA premaster secret error]
caused by [java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Cannot find any provider supporting RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding]"
when running the following code snippet from command line[b]:
TrustManager[] trustAllCerts = new TrustManager[]{
new X509TrustManager() {
public java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] getAcceptedIssuers() {
return null;
public void checkClientTrusted(
java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) {
public void checkServerTrusted(
java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) {
// Install the all-trusting trust manager
SSLContext sc = SSLContext.getInstance("SSL");
sc.init(null, trustAllCerts, new java.security.SecureRandom());
HttpsURLConnection.setDefaultSSLSocketFactory(sc.getSocketFactory());
URL url = new URL("https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/");
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(
new InputStreamReader(
url.openStream()));
String inputLine;
while ((inputLine = in.readLine()) != null)
System.out.println(inputLine);
in.close();Specially, the error only occurs when using JDK 1.5.0_07-b03 on Solaris platform.
------------------- All providers avaible on JDK 1.5.0_07-b03, Solaris platform ------------
SUN = SUN (DSA key/parameter generation; DSA signing; SHA-1, MD5 digests; SecureRandom;
X.509 certificates; JKS keystore; PKIX CertPathValidator; PKIX CertPathBuilder; LDAP, Collection CertStores)
SunRsaSign = Sun RSA signature provider
SunJSSE = Sun JSSE provider(PKCS12, SunX509 key/trust factories, SSLv3, TLSv1)
SunJCE = SunJCE Provider (implements DES, Triple DES, Blowfish, PBE, Diffie-Hellman, HMAC-MD5, HMAC-SHA1)
SunJGSS = Sun (Kerberos v5)

I have downloaded and installed the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files version 5.0
but the error still occurs!
Does anybody know how to fix this error? Please!!!

I'm using amxmlc to build a SWF from an MXML source code file. I'm passing -swf-version=13 to amxmlc.
In the MXML source, I have the following line:
<s:TextArea id="inputTextArea" width="100%" height="100" fontSize="28" borderColor="#000000" skinClass="spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin" />
I get these errors when running the amxmlc command:
...App.mxml(428): Error: Access of undefined property TextInputSkin.
<s:TextArea id="inputTextArea" width="100%" height="100" fontSize="28" borderColor="#000000" skinClass="spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin" />
...App.mxml(428): Error: Definition spark.skins.mobile:TextInputSkin could not be found.
<s:TextArea id="inputTextArea" width="100%" height="100" fontSize="28" borderColor="#000000" skinClass="spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin" />
Why am I getting these errors? I need to be able to use the spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin in order to have use of the soft keyboard on iOS devices.you need the classes mentioned after 'Definition" in the lines below and they should be place in de/alex_uhlmann/animationpackage subdirectory of your default directory.

Weblogic Portal 9.2 Startup Error - Linux
Hi all, Thanks in advance for help in resolving this critical situation.
Installed is Weblogic Portal 9.2 on a Ubuntu [Debian] Linux workstation. When I create a portal environment using default Configuration Wizard settings, ./startWeblogic.sh executes and I am able to reach the cosole without problems.
As soon as I try to customize the configuration using Oracle drivers and corresponding username/password, I see an alert that reads:
<b>This domain is configured to use the SQL authenticator security provider. You must load database tables in the "Run Database Scripts" panel or load the tables manually after completing the wizard using the SQL file located at ~/bea920/user_projects/domains/pDomain/security/SQLAuthenticator.sql</b>
I click 'OK'. And 'Done'.
When I attempt to start Weblogic, it fails with the following stacktraces:

Here is what i have tried:
1. altered the username and password in boot.properties
2. deleted boot.properties and manually entered the username and password at WLS startup [as seen in the stacktrace].
3. created a default-settings portal environment that started weblogic, then used the console to chenge the settings to my customized values. Restarted the server and it failed with the same stacktraces.
Please please help. Our team has exhausted its knowledge of trouble shooting this situation. This forum is my next to last result.
Thanks again.
BartoszI too was facing this problem initially but on windows machine. This problem occurs because p13nDataSource is not configured and its still pointing to the POINTBASE data base. Point it to Oracle database and then test the connection. Once the Connection Test is sucessful go to Run Database Script. Select the correct version of Oracle i.e. 8i, 9i or 10g. Then select on DataSource from in the top left corner. Only two DataSource needs to be configured. cgDataSource-nonXA and p13nDataSource.Select these Data Source one after another and Run the scripts once this is done u can configure the WLI Domain.
This is done once configuring the WLI Domain.
I would post the corrective measure for the Domain which has been already created. If the issue is blocking u can create a new domain:-) -
I have a servlet generating Reports using jasper reports. Its working perfectly on windows machine but on LINUX RHEL 4 SERVER it is throwing some error which is I am trying to tackle.

Installation Error Linux Metadata Management XI 3.1
Hi everybody
I have a situation when install the BOMM on linux.
Enter the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise installation directory:
> /bobj/boxi/
ERROR
No installation of SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 could be found at the specified path.Please try again.
the path
/bobj/boxi/
Version
BOE XI 3.1 SP3
BOMM XI 3.1
Thanks you for your help.BOMM Unix Installer is not able to detect the BOE Version for SP3, you can try the following workaround
go to enterprise120 directory and take backup of the ProductId.txt file
and modify the BuildVersion to following
BuildVersion=12.2.0.290.BOE_Titan_SP_REL
run the BOMM Installer, it will work, on completion restore the original productId.txt
take necessary backup
or the best thing would be to file a case with Support, looks like BOMM is not certified with BOE SP3 on Linux/Unix
I don't see this issue on windows -

AlissonHello,
I think you have omitted the username and password in connection string for your jdbc.
In fact when you test the connection your string is:
[oracle@ofswas bin]$ sqlplus orabpel/[email protected]
username/password@domain
and with it you can connect
but your data-sources.xml is:
<data-source class="com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource"
name="BPELServerDataSource"
location="jdbc/BPELServerDataSource"
xa-location="BPELServerDataSource"
ejb-location="jdbc/BPELServerDataSource"
connection-driver="oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver"
max-connections="50"
min-connections="10"
username="orabpel"
password="orabpel"
url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@ofswas.compasso.com.br:1521:asdb"/>
As you see in the url lack username and password to acces to your database
So try to use correct string:
url="jdbc:oracle:thin:[username/password]@host:port:sid"/>
I hope this help you...
ByeBye

JavaScript Error Message using Angel Learning Software
After upgrading to the latest version of FF I receive a JavaScript error message when attempting to send an email via the Angel Learning educational portal. All the other operations in Angel appear to function normally at this time. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be the issue and it if will be resolved or can be bypassed?
Thanks!Thank you. The JavaScript is enabled on my FF settings. The message I am receiving is:
Script: http://angel.cascadia.edu/jscript/yahoo/utilities/utilities.js:9
So, perhaps I confused jscript with JavaScript by error? Either way, the link you forwarded said not to confuse the two...
"Please note that JavaScript is not Java and Jscript is not JavaScript!"
So, I clicked on the link to JScript which says that it is the same language as JavaScript and has a different name due to trademark issues. I have IE on my computer but never use it. Would you recommend that I uninstall IE? Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.
Thanks! -
Newbie - Compile error - Linux
Hello All,
I am new at this....so I apologize if this is too simple.
I downloaded Java on my Linux machine, created
a simple "HelloWorld" example.
compiling using: "javac HelloWorldApp.java"
created the following error message:
error while loading shared libraries: libhpi.so: cannot load shared object file: No such file or directory
I do have this file.
any ideas on the error message?
thank youThanks for your reply.
I do have the libhpi.so in the directory paths as you stated and the permissions are set for read and execute.
I used the rpm installation method.
/usr/java/jre1.3.1_01/lib/i386/native_threads/libhpi.so
/usr/java/jre1.3.1_01/lib/i386/green_threads/libhpi.so
that's why this is puzzling to me. -
Tns-12560 protocol adapter error linux
I m running two independent oracle 11g on red hat 5 in vmware workstation 7 which is sitting on window xp where i m running 10g.
I was facing a lot of networking when using tnsping. during my search i found that SUlinux and firewall was on which i turned off.
My problem solved.
My question is Whether it is feasible in industrial environment to turn off the Firewall and security of Linux.
My second problem is:
I did everything using orapwd on oracle 11g on red hat. .
but i m getting the same result

My question is Whether it is feasible in industrial environment to turn off the Firewall and security of Linux.When you say "security of linux" are you referring to SELinux? You can turn it off, or set it to a less restrictive mode. As for the firewall, there is no need to turn it off, just configure it correctly.
My second problem is:
I did everything using orapwd on oracle 11g on red hat. .

We have no way of knowing exactly what "everything using orapwd" means on your system. You are asking us to explain something we cannot see.

I got this error when i try to run sample database access using OCCI libraries.
test.cpp:21: undefined reference to `oracle::occi::Environment::createEnvironment(oracle::occi::Environment::Mode, void*, void* (*)(void*, unsigned int), void* (*)(void*, void*, unsigned int), void (*)(void*, void*))'
Following link contains same problem but there is no answer.
#include <iostream>

using oracle::occi::Statement;
using oracle::occi::ResultSet;

Connection *con;
Statement* stmt;
ResultSet* res;
try {
//std::cout << "dasfasfafa";
environment = Environment::createEnvironment(oracle::occi::Environment::DEFAULT);
con = environment->createConnection("aaa", "aaa", "Caaa");
stmt = con->createStatement("select * from emp");
res = stmt->executeQuery();
while (res->next())
std::cout << res->getInt(1) << " " << res->getString(2) << std::endl;
stmt->closeResultSet(res);
con->terminateStatement(stmt);
environment->terminateConnection(con);
} catch (oracle::occi::SQLException &e) {
std::cout << e.what();
return 0;
}The demos have this:
#include <iostream>

CF9 and Verity indexing error - Linux 64
I am running CF 9.0.1 Standard Edition on an openSUSE 11.3 64-bit server, with Apache 2.2.15.
I am trying to create a verity collection on the server. The service is running as the collection is created without a problem, but when I attempt to create the index, either through the administration interface or with createindex, I receive the following errors in the sysinfo.log file.
msg(1): Error E0-0720 (I/O Filter): Could not load filter 'flt_kv -recognize -bifmime' which is named in your style.uni file.

msg(1): Warn E2-0527 (Document Index): Document 8900 (/export/www/htdocs/lter/data.cfm): Stream error (-2) - SKIPPING
The log file contains an entry for every document that it attempted to index, and the index remains empty.
Searches of the problem have not been helpful. I can not seem to find any recent instances of this problem.Hi,
Look like Verity does not recognise the flt_kv_bifmime in the style.uni file. Check the style.uni and add the mime type ref.
Switch on Verity logging and check the apache log files for poss related errors.
The apache error ../lter/googlee*.html will be related to mime type as well prob same issue as above hence the ../lter/data.cfm is not being processed.
As the service is running it would be worth creating a manual test spider script to crawl / index the target files to get a confirmatory error message. The format is straightforward and examples can be found in and amongst the Verity K2 docs on Adobe Live Docs for CF 9 [ http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/Admin/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbf364104-7fb2 .html ]
If possible consider changing the search to SOLR as Verity K2 is no longer supported and Apache SOLR is the replacement. Again check the CF 9 docs and you can migrate from Verity to SOLR through the CFIDE/administrator.
Hope this helps. -
X121e Resolution Error - Linux Mint
I've had my x121e since they came out in UK. Linux on it straight away.
I have Linux Mint 11 on it currently. It runs brilliantly, however...
After being put on suspend during travelling, the resolution changed from the actual 1366x768 to the wrong 1280x800.
Not sure why this has happened, but the options to turn it back are missing. I've tried changing it using xrandr commands in the terminal but they kept failing. I'm currently trying to edit the grub start up config, but am out of my depth.
Strangely, it effects my whole computer. So the Thinkpad boot up screen that all us thinkpad users see also has the same wrong resolution. So this takes me to wonder if it is an issue more general to x121e's and ThinkPads.
Has anyone else had similar problems? Can they help me sort this please?
Good tidings,
Daniel.Thanks.
It's Intel graphics- Sandybridge.
I'm also running Mint 11 as I had power/heating issues with 12.
This resolution problems just emerged after a suspend. The resolution has been working fine for the last 5 months or so.
Any ideas? Suggestions have dried up a little on the Mint forums. I tried adding a resolution mode using xrandr, and edited the grub inserting vga=844. These didn't work.
Any help is very much appreciated...it's dragging on a bit now.....

Problems with an SSL connection
I'm trying to execute a Post request using HTTPS. To achieve that I'm using commons-httpclient v.3.0rc1 and a custom SSLSocketProtocolSocketFactory that can work with untrusted self-signed certificates.
My code works on Windows 2000 Pro, but it fails on Linux (Suse Linux 8.2). However I'm using JDK 1.4.2 both in Windows and LInux, with the same list of security providers set at $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security/java.security file.
I've heard about problems with security when upgrading form JDK 1.4.x to JDK 1.5, but it's not the case.
Any idea about this?
This is the exception I get when I run my code on Linux:
