RSA SecurID no longer available on Nokia N8 Belle

Just upgraded my Nokia N8 and was shocked to see that RSA SecurID is no longer available
I wonder how can such an important business app can be missed ! Lucky for me I have an Andriod Tab, but other N8 users beware.

Ok, I was able to download the software using the Nokia web browser from http://www.rsa.com/nokia101 however our IT team was unable to set-it up. We then downloaded the Java client from www.rsa.com/jme and it worked fine.

For the last one week, when i get the link from skype.com and drill through the link, it said "The mobile phone is not compatible". And i got the s60 symbian version's skype installable from my friend and tried t oinstall and use.
I received a warning message when i tried to install for compatibility check, i neglected and proceeded. I was not able to work with the installed one.
Finally and fortunately, ovi.nokia.com provided the compatibility version of skype which ia m using fine now.

For the Nokia Software Updater, is there any error message before the application crashes? Does this happen all the time? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the application?
Instead of using the Nokia Software Updater, I suggest using the Nokia Suite to update the device. You can download the application on this link:

Since I upgraded to Lion, my RSA securid token and Cisco VPN client doesn't work any longer. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix that?

Since upgrading to Lion, I can no longer use VPN because my RSA securid token and CIsco VPN Client won't load. Any suggestioins out there?

Skype on Nokia Lumia 900 no longer available

Dear skype support and users,
I have been using skype for a long time on my Nokia Lumia 900 but a few days ago the application stopped working saying something like "The application is no longer available on your device". I tried to uninstall the application but now I cannot find the application anymore searching the market place (I find Skype tips and tricks but I do not find Skype!). How can it be possible? How can I have Skype working now?

(Just commenting here what I more or less wrote on a differnt (third party) forum.) This is not affecting me though but a friend (who got the Lumia 900, once the top model on sale). Now she got to hear that being kicked out from Skype service is for her own good. "We want everyone to experience the best Skype has to offer" meaning: nothing. And about the subscription she can read: "you will want to cancel it". It's, of course, ok to discontinue the development of the old Skype client, but completely kick customers out from own services? What kind of business model is this? What about customer service do (Skype/Microsoft) right which all my business teachers at university obviously taught me completely wrongly? Plus, in these days when you quickly face those famous internet "**bleep**storms" you simply cannot do this. That's sucidal! And last but not least... I don't remember when the official sale for the Lumi 900 stopped, but often customers sign up for a two year subscription, or get a two year guarantee. Assuming the phone was still (somewere on this planet) on sale within the last two years.... and you withdraw an essential feature. Oh, I whish I was a lawer (a lawer in the US, of course). Please Skype/Microsoft think about this once more before it's too late. Oh, my friend btw. will follow your customer friendly advice and will cancel her Skype subscription.

Bluetooth no longer works after Nokia PC Suite Upd...

I am afraid I have a problem. I have a Nokia 6085 and Nokia PC Suite on my computer that worked just great until I updated now the Bluetooth is no longer available so I can't connect to my phone.
Phone - Nokia 6085
Computer - Windows XP SP3 Notebook
Bluetooth Stack - Windows (Version: 5.1.2600, Build: 5512)
PC Suite - Version 7.1.40.1

Greetings to all as this is my first post here.
I faced today the same problem with my N95 and the latest PC Suite update (7.1.40.1.).
After checking that my BT earpiece works OK and also no problems with a USB cable between my laptop and the N95, I suspected immediately the update version.
I downloaded an earlier version from : http://download.cnet.com/Nokia-PC-Suite/3000-10440_4-10598525.html and after installing this PC Suite 7.1.30.9 version, the BT worked again flawlessly as before.

Glance screen no longer available?

I recently lost my nokia lumia a 822. I replaced it with the same phone. I have installed all updates and am current at this time. A feature I really loved on my last phone was the glance screen. It does not show up on the settings menu on this phone. Has it been removed? Is there a way to add it?

That was what I needed. I don't remember installing it as an app

RSA SecurID authentication and privilege level

Hello,
I'm new working with Cisco ACS, learning by seat of pants; most of the documentation on Cisco's website is fairly cryptic and does not use many pictures. Therefore,I would appreciate some help setting up privileges. We have ACS v5.2 which I have set up using RSA SecurID and appears to be working correctly. However, I'm having problems with the privilege level when I access a router it lands me in user mode. I'm trying to set up a administrator group for the routers and switches to have each member dropped in privilege level 15, exec mode but I'm having difficulty doing this.
Unfortunately, I'm unable to find any real useful information in reference to setting up RSA SecurID. It seems more of the information is geared around radius servers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you much!

Remember AAA means authentication, authorization and accounting. In your case you authenticate with RSA , but you authorize with ACS policies. For TACACS+ and traditional IOS from routers and switches you can use a ACS policy element called "shell profile" which you can use to specify some attributes like privilege level. Then you can use the "shell profile" to create an authorization policy.
I'm attaching some screenshots. In this example I'm using AD instead of RSA because I don't have a RSA available. Please rate if it helps.

RSA SecurID

I have been use RSA securid authentication with Portal 3.0. Now I am trying to migrate to Portal 6.0. In Portal 6.0 authentication is done using Identity Server and it does not have RSA SecurID authentication. Any workaround or solutions.

The SecureID module is not available "out the box"
but it is available as a "addOn" module fpr Identity server:

If you have tried the solutions provided above, please respond with the answer to these questions.
Have you tried disconnecting/ reset your router and reconnecting? If you have, are other devices in your household able to connect to the router.
Make sure your router is also up to date with the latest firmware and it may be worth changing your ip address, for example 168.192.0.1 to .3

ACS appliance -- AD -- RSA Securid Server

I have Cisco ACS appliance running version 3.3.2.2 and Windows Active Directory on Win2000 Advanced Server and RSA v5.2. I already installed successfully the remote agent in Active directory.
Authentication using EAP-FAST from my wireless client going to ACS to AD is successful.
But when authenticating going to RSA failed. I can't find logs that my ACS is communicating successfully with RSA.
Here's more info:
In Active Directory, remote agent for ACS installed succesfully. Agent for RSA is also installed succesfully.
In ACS appliance, remote agent was already pointed to AD.
No RSA SecurID Token Server found in my External User Database Configuration list. I think this is the problem.

The configuration guideline for the ACS is described in "Configuring CiscoSecure ACS for Windows NT with ACE Server Authentication" at

I had this up and running with a customer. There was no AD involved though, so it is not entirely your case and there might be other obstacles on the way.
ACS with ACE however works, though there were some nasty problems to be solved on the way to success.
One thing to point out straight away also mentioned in the document mabove:
Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP) cannot be used with the ACE tokens alone because of the requirement CHAP RFC (1994) that states:
CHAP requires that the secret be available in plaintext form. Irreversibly encrypted password databases commonly available cannot be used.
This precludes use of the ACE tokens for straight CHAP unless there is a separate CHAP password. For instance:
username: xxxx
password: xxxx
Password Authentication Protocol (PAP) is a better choice here.
This means the user has to enter "username*token" - the customer finally wrote a Java applet to construct the propper combination out of different clearly named input fields to simplify the input for unexperienced users.

Feature to disable touch screen when pen is detected is no longer available in windows 7

In N-trig drivers with windows vista there was an option where one could select the option to disable the touch input when pen in near the screen. That feature is no longer available when I installed new n-trig drivers in win7.
I use my tablet a lot to take notes. But with dual mode on it detects input where I rest my palm on the screen to write. Every time I have to go and disable touch input completely before I start writing and enable after I finish.
I there any way to enable auto mode with Windows 7 n-trig drivers?

I talked about this with HP tech support and they don't know anything about it. I don't even know whether they are qualified enough to provide support. They were just blaming the problems on Microsoft and N-Trig. I knew the problem is with the drivers and I wanted them to let N-Trig know that people like us are waiting to the Auto feature. But instead of considering my complaint they hung up on me not once but twice.

Hi there, I am using a Macbook pro with Leopard with the newest version of iTunes. Many, many times when I have tried to purchase the newest episode of LOST, I click 'purchase' and type in my information and click 'yes', and for an instant it says 'purchasing' and shows the striped purchasing par across the top for only an instant, and then that disappears and an error message comes up, saying
"The item you tried to buy is no longer available.
The availability of the item changed while you were using the store.
The same item may be available with a different price or elsewhere
on the store."
In past weeks, I have been eventually able to purchase the episode, after trying to purchase and receiving the same error literally hundreds of times. Why do I try hundreds of times? Because I want to see LOST! And I will have to face the wrath of my disappointed housemates if I fail to present the episode in time. But this is very, very, very, very frustrating! Please help, iTunes! Or anyone, any help will be greatly appreciated. But this glitch has been going on literally for weeks/months! I expected it to be ironed out and fixed completely by now, but it is not at all, it is just as bad as it was when I first noticed it shortly after the beginning of LOST season 4, a few months ago.
Also, when I try to email iTunes, I am sure that I can email iTunes if I finally pick a subject that does not apply, but I do not want to do that.
It is also very, very, very frustrating, whenever trying to email iTunes, to be forced into picking a subject from a very, very limited menu. Many questions, such as this question, do not fit at all into any of the choices presented, from which a person is forced to choose a subject, before being allowed to type an email to iTunes.

I had the same issue this morning downloading a pre-order of Alanis, Flavors of Entanglement . I noticed that the only thing that had changed fro me was that I had some song credits for purchasing ticketmaster tickets over the past few weeks. When I went ahead and spent my remaining credits... it downloaded with no prompting or trouble. Maybe the credits issues hangs it up?
