Run applet on wireless browser

A liitle help please :)
I do lots of java apps but this is my first foray into the wild and woolly wireless world. . .
I have a web app the runs an applet in the browser. I need some help in figuring out how to enable this applet to run on a browser for a wireless device.

Applet needs Java SE runtime Env.
Most device in wireless world don't support j2se but also java ME.
In order to run an applet on a browser for a wireless device you must find a device that support java SE.

UNABLE TO RUN APPLETS ON A BROWSER

I am unable to run applets on a browser which run well on an appletviewer.
I kept the class file in the same directory as the web page,but it's only showing the applet window, and not showing it's contents.

You don't add the tag to the .java file. You need a separate HTML document (such as a .html file, or a .jsp, etc.) that has the <applet> tag in it. (Also there's some stuff you can do with <object> and/or <embed>, apparently.) The applet tag tells the browser to load your applet.

How to run applet inside a browser coz my applet runs outside the browser

I would like to run the Java Applet viewer in-line inside a Browser Window. Presently, when launched through an html page, the applet opens another main window outside the browser. Winows xp x64 JRE 6u1 - no applets in Mozilla browser

i tried to find similar posts but didnt find any. Im using Windows XP (pro) SP2 x64 on a AMD64 processor, and im having problems running applets in my browser (Mozilla 2.0.0.4). I've downloaded the newest JRE 6u1 available on the homepage, and also tried to download applet "plugins" thru Mozilla, but everytime i open a site with a java applet i get this error:

Since im not familiar to Java compailing and programming i dont know what this means.
Im thankfull for any suggestion fixin this error.

I think this is because of sandbox for web applications - see http://download.oracle.com/javafx/2.0/deployment/deploy_overview.htm#CEGJGHDA to understand the restrictions.
You need to sign your application and make sure JNLP requests all permissions.
Good news it is easy in Netbeans - just open project properties and select that application need elevated permissions.
Bad news is that official beta of 7.0.1 used experimental signing support that had bug for jars loaded from file protocol.
You may want to download latest NB 7.0.1 build (and recreate your project) or customize build.xml to sing jar file explicitly using standard ant signjar task.
Or you can always run your tests using http protocol to access the application.

How to run swing applets in a browser??

I understand it is a typical question and there lot of articles on it. I tried but am confused. I installed JRE1.3 which has java plug-in along with it which supports swing applets in a browser.Once i got that plug in i also downloaded html converter but am confused how should i run my swing applet.Can anyone please explain in simple steps as to how to achieve this objective..Thanks much in advance..an example would be of real big help

Since html file and .class file are stored in different directories so in applet tag I specify absolute url in "codebase = ......" to indicate that the browser should look for .class file in "D:\DATA\Java Programmes\Networking\".
But when I run the Applet in the browser, nothing happens. But when I copy the html file back to "D:\DATA\Java Programmes\Networking\" and change the codebase = "D:\\...." to codebase = "." It works well. Any one can help me to hanld this problem. I want to run the applet in the browser when the html file is stored in different directory. Thank you.

Running Applet on Browser

plz tell me how to run an applet on the browser.
i have the applet.java file and also created the applet.class file .
i have the applet.html file and all the 3 files are in the same folder .
how to display the applet contents on the browser now.
i tried with

Just add this to your HTML code:
<applet code="codename.class"></applet>.
Put the name of your applet instead of "codename.class".
You can also add height and width attributes to the applet, and you can also put text inside the applet, so if the person does not have java, he or she will see the message.
i.e.:
<applet code="codename.class" height="100" width="100">Not loading? You might need to download java.</applet>

I had created a applet.
When I run it in ECLIPSE, the applet program runs well.
But when I try to open the applet program in browser
by storing the html file in the director in which I had the class file ,
my applet is not running.
In the browser's bottom status bar , it says "notinited".
I dont know what is the mistake.
Please tell me what I should do. I am pasting my html file here.

Well I tried doing somthing which worked.. would like to share with you...
actually in the jar file created , if the class file is kept in the root directory of the jar file... it works...
eg. while crating the jar, if we go to the directory of the class file and then create it , it ould work..
if u r in som other directory while creating the jar, it wont work..
for the jar created, open it with winzip and if in the path column of the required class file if it shows a path, then it wont work..
else it will..

Same applets running on 2 different browser independent of each other

Hi all,
I am calling the same applet two times in a browser. So i declared all the variables to be shared by the 2 applets as "private static".
Now i want the applets in 1 browser to be independent of the applets in another browser when multiple browsers are invoked.(remember that each browser has 2 applets each).
In other words,same applets invoked in MULTIPLE BROWSERS should be independent of each other. How to go about doing that?
Is it possible to somehow invoke separate jvms for 2 separate browsers on the same machine when clicked on the same link twice?

HOw to run Applet in browser.

Hi guys. I've got 2 problems.
1. In Window, I've got Java installed (and using NetBean IDE as Java editor), so of course I've got j2sdk_nb-1.4.2 installed as well. But I couldn't run any applet in IE, for example, in games.yahoo.com, I couldn't join any game because applet always failed to load. But yesterday, I've got a pop up asking to install jre1.4.2 and after install this JRE, everything works fine. My point here is, when I have SDK1.4.2 which contains JRE, why should I have to install new JRE to run applets ?
2. Could anyone tell me how to run applet in Mozilla, Linux. I'm using Linux RedHat 9 as well. And in Redhat, I've got J2sdk_nb-1.4.2 installed with NetBeans IDE. It said that I need appropriate Plugs-in, but in my Java directory, I also found Plugsin directory. So how to configure Mozilla to run applet.

Just to let you guys know that I sorted it out already. Well, the problem lies in I'm confused between two directory /usr/lib/Mozilla and /usr/lib/Mozilla and two Java plugs-in available in nsc60 and nsc60-gcc (don't remember exactly)
For my Linux (Red Hat 9), I've got to create symbol link from nsc60 directory to /usr/lib/Mozilla, not any other way.

Dont want to display "Report Successfully Run" applet

Dear Users....I Dont want to display "Report Successfully Run" applet after my report runs successfully. I'm calling report from Forms-10g Rel.2 and my browser is Internet Explorer ver.6. I'm sending my report directly to printer using Web.Show_Document.If my report is sent to printer successfully there is no need to display browser window with the above mentioned message. Help! problem running .bat files in browser

HI! Hope you can help me!
I have a simple applet that runs .bat files and retrieves the resulting information into a text box.
To run those files I use:
Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
Process processo=rt.exec("C:/po2PrtMonitor.bat 04600105 ope >C:/infoPrt.txt");
in wich "04600105","ope" and ">C:/infoPrt.txt" are parameters that the .bat file is expecting. When the file is ran it saves the resulting information on a simple .txt file, that I later read by using:
fichResposta = new FileInputStream(fichRespostaPath[0]);
When I run my applet on JDeveolper 9.0.2.822 is works perfectly, the problem is when run it on the browser.
On the browser the applet executes the file by opening a MS-DOS prompt and when it finishes executing the file, the prompt closes automatically and doesn't send the information into the .txt file.
My .bat file is something like:
jre -cp PrtSrv20.jar sibs.deswin.prt.PrtMonGateway 10.46.1.22 5003 %1 %2 %3
where %1,2%,3% are the above parameters given by the applet when the file is ran.
If I run it on JDeveloper I get:

I have no idea as to what the problem might be! Do native methods work differently on the browser?! Could it be a problem on the deployment? A library not included on the deployment profile? Suggestions are very welcome.
