Run SAP with embedded username/password

Is there any way to run the SAP client so it will automatically log in with particular credentials? I'm trying to figure out a way to automatically have SAP start in the middle of the night (I need an add-on to start before a certain time). I've found articles related to the Windows 'runas' command, but I don't think that is relevant. Thanks for the help.

Your goal is not support by B1 design. If you want to run add-on on midnight, you have to leave the client log-in all the time.

Firefox (I think version 5, maybe 4) does not ask to "remember" passwords anymore nor does it ask to "change" a password when I've done that. It didn't ask when I changed my Facebook password & I have to log in each time so I removed my username & password for FB on Firefox's "saved password" page. When I've don't that before, it asks to "remember" but doesn't anymore. I use a master password.

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.

Newbie sqlplus login only works with sqlplus username/password@xe, why?

I am using the Express edition 10g on an ubuntu linux 686 box . I have the oracle xe service running and have my bash environment setup correctly . However When I say
just "sqlplus" to connect to my databases
The sqlplus application prompts me for username first and then for the password. However it never recognized either and gives the following errors
ORA-01034 : Oracle not available
ORA-27123 : unable to attach to shared memory segment
Linux Error: 13: Permission denied.
If I instead in the same shell I run
sqlplus username/password@xe
Then it logs me in fine without any errors.
I wanted to understand why the first way where I enter my username and password at the prompts does not work and give me the ORA-01034 and ORA-27123 errors since a lot of the installation seemed a bit of a blackbox for me.

I have setup my environment as mentioned in the installation docs
So despite that I am getting the errors.
The only way to not get the error is to say sqlplus username/password@xe
Here is what the ORACLE_HOME and Oracle_SID are set to:

Basically you can't; that's the whole point of the software (or at least a large part of the point), so that unauthorized people can't make changes to the system. As Kappy said, you'll need to contact Faronics for assistance, but I don't remember any sort of "back door" to their software so there may be no solution short of erasing the drive and starting from scratch.

Auto Login to another page with BPM username/password

Hi,
I would like to use the same username and password (with which i logged into BPM workspace) to login to another web page automatically.
I created an ADF page for one of the tasks in BPM.I have a button in my ADF page which opens up a new page. When a new page is opened, it is asking for username and password. This username and password is same as the the one i used to login to workspace.
When i click on this button, can i open the web page without entering the credentials?

Thanks. The problem is that I can't put it after the APEX form, because I need to have it in the middle of page content. And the whole page content is in the APEX form. I tried using </form> here i inserted my code <form> to end and start again the APEX form but it did not work for IE.

OS X 10.5 server can't log in locally with any username/password

About a week ago, our server experienced a kernel panic that took us days to resolve. Basically on every reboot we would get a KP, diagnostics indicated faulty RAM; we replaced the RAM and still had KPs...then, one day, it just started working again. OKAY. Except...
Except that no users, including the administrator, can log in using any password.
* I've tried to reset the administrator's password using the Ctrl-S/launchctl/passwd approach, to no avail.
* I deleted the AppleSetupDone file and went thru the process of re-configuring the server, but the "Local Administrator" username and the password I give that administrator does not work on reboot.
* I have tried using the "reset password" utility on an OS X install disk, but I only just found the OS X 10.5 disk so I haven't tried that yet.
User files all appear to be present on the main drive, the external drive, and the partition of the external drive, which is nice.
Any ideas for other methods to try?

Update: I tried the reset password option on the OS X 10.5 disk, and it allows me to reset the password for the local administrator (which is now called, after a number of re-configurations, Local Administrator2222), but when I reboot the machine that password does not work for that username.
I seem to recall that I am not supposed to change the password for the Primary Administrator (root), so I haven't done that. But I'm running out of things to try.

JDeveloper 10.1.3 could not run Beans with embedded OC4J 10.1.3

I have downloaded JDeveloper 10.1.3 distributed with full SDK and by creating just simple HTML page and running embedded OC4J 10.1.3 I get following msgs:

A little more detail might get you some responses. Describe your project. What's the technology stack? (ADF BC?, Faces?, JSP?, Web App?, etc.). When you write about the project not opening in the WYSIWYG editor, are you talking about a JSP page, or some other component? If your page opens at all, describe the editor tabs you see.
There are some guidelines for migrating projects from EA to R3 in the Release Notes. You might find something there that is helpful.

Apple ID Problem with Incorrect username/password setup

Hello all,
I'm trying to help my sister-in-law with a problem with her Login details for Apple Store. She has no skills in this department, so she asked a friend (?!) to help her. Somehow things were done that allowed her to establish an account, altho frankly I am not sure how it was activated. She used her old email address at that time, which she has in the meantime replaced with a new address from another ISP. I managed to establish an ID using the new address, but she has an iPad registered under her old Apple ID.
Nothing was written down, and nowhere can I find an 8 letter password with the Capital Letter and Number system as required by Apple. The help questions which were established when compiling the old address can't be answered, because she didn't write down either the data, or the answer. From all this, you can judge that I'm frustrated at trying to do more for her.
I can't understand how, or if, one could cancel the old details in favor of the new. Or whether it might work if I "Restore" the iPad according to the instructions in iTunes when the iPad is attached, and try to register it under the new user/password I established.
We live very remotely, so popping into a local store for help is not possible. I've tried, with my limited knowledge, everything I can, but I've got nowhere. So, can any kind soul who might have had to go done this route, or who might have a possible clue to what I could do, perhaps help me out? I'll bet its staring me in the face, but as an old guy, my instincts aren't as sharp as they were.

Hi barrie,
Well, sounds like you have half the problem fixed. But for the original account, even though you can't remember the answers to the original security questions, you CAN contact Apple Support to have them reset them for you. Once they are reset, also reset the password to whatever the password on the new account is so they are seamless.
Also, on both accounts be sure to set up a RESCUE EMAIL ADDRESS with the Security Questions. This will prevent any issues down the road with forgotton passwords/security questions, and will allow you to recover in a much easier way than this has been.
But again, for the original account. You need to do the following:
1. Contact Apple Support, provide them with the Original Apple ID, and let them know that you need to have the Security Questions reset.
2. Once that is done, set up new Security Questions for that old Apple ID as well as a RESCUE EMAIL ADDRESS with those new Secuity Questions
3. Reset the Password on that Old ID to be the same as the one on the new ID (and keep it consistent - any time you change the new one, change the old one)
4. Sign into iTunes one last time with that old ID and use up your $15
Now, forget the old ID altogether except when you need to update the password to match the new one. Once you have done your final redemption, only the new Apple ID should exist for you. All apps and music purchased in the same iTunes Library with either ID will be able to be loaded onto the iPad. When one of the apps needs to be updated, it may display the old ID, or it may display the new ID - if the password is the same, it won't matter which is displayed for the update. Put in the password, and it will update.
Whatever you do - Don't delete the apps purchased with the old ID. Once you get it squared away it will just be like a "phantom" id in the backround. Not really used, but still associated with the apps purchased under it. As long as they all live in the same iTunes Library, the ID they were purchased under is irrelevant. The only thing that matters after that is the password (as explained above) for any updates.
For the iPads themselves, make sure that the new Apple ID is showing for the iCloud account. This is what ties the Apple ID being used to do purchases via the iPad.
I hope the info I have provided has helped, and that your trip to Canberra will be a success. Sounds like an all-around nightmare, and you have been a very patient and sweet brother-in-law to stick with this whole thing.

It sounds like you have much more issues than simply the TC..
I can suggest or have suggested the workaround to the TC problem.

What happened if you did?
Did you simply try the standard old reboot the TC.. ie yank out the power cord. count to 10.. plug in the power cord.
That magically fixes lots of network issues.
Mavericks has some major issues.. do you upgrade install.
Let me strongly recommend a clean install.. if you haven't done it. Your issues with safari look like a corrupted install to me.. but I am not an eggs spurt in OS issues.. by any long stretch of the imagination.. post the issue over in the Mavericks area.
But as an old computer support man.. (old should be emphasised) upgrade installation are anethma.. I have never seen them work 100% and that includes with Mac. Of course you cannot expect windows to work.. but things go wrong in every OS.. no matter how wonderful.
Make sure you have a good TM backup .. clean install and migrate your documents back.. maybe reinstall software from scratch. Not easy but the only way.

Java Web Service / ABAP Client proxy ... username & password

I have some ABAP function modules that need to use some Java web services. For this, I have created a client proxy that is utilized by the ABAP function module and the client proxy in turn communicates with the Java web service.
The web service does BASIC (USERNAME/PASSWORD) HTTP AUTHENTICATION. When I execute the ABAP function module in test mode, I am prompted with a username/password. How can I pass this username and password to the Java web service programmatically.

Cisco 1921 no username password commad

Hi,
I ahve countered an issue today. I was working on 1921 which is used as test router in ISP. I have loaded a router with test config with username & password in running config. After a while i have removed the username & password with no username---password---- command, then i logged out of router. But now its not allowing me to login as its asking username & password while its not taking any username/password not even cisco/cisco, admin/administrator.
Is this a behaviour of 1921 as i have not copied the runn to start but i disconneced from secure putty session when router was in running config mode. Kindly help.

You have the router configured to use the local user database, but you have removed all the accounts. Doing that will not disable the configuration for using the local database. What you are experiencing is "normal". Menaing that the router is configured for authentication but there are no valid accounts. Like Reza stated, reboot the router and you'll get the startup config. If the config was saved, you'll have to do a password recovery on it.

Error when starting Firefox 3.6. "Javascript Application error. Invalid username/password combination. If you continue to get this error, try entering your email address as your username." Any suggestions on what to look for to resolve this?

When starting Mozilla Firefox 3.6, I get an error window which opens up additionally overtop my browser windows stating:
"Javascript Application"
followed with :
"Invalid username/password combination. If you continue to get this error, try entering your email address as your username."
Obviously it is happening with one of my email addresses/usernames & password combinations of which I know the username for (which I choose not to post here) and I'm not sure where to begin looking for a resolution to this problem.

I was able to resolve this by disabling (under Tools - Add-ons) Yahoo! Mail Notifier

Discoverer Desktop Connections Fails With Invalid Username/Pass in r12

I have problem. I can login Discoverer Administrator from my localmachine and i can see what ppl did it there.. But when i try to login Discoverer Desktop from my localmachine its gives me Invalid Username/Pass. error.
I even cant login my system from browser :

Discoverer supports two kinds of connections - database schema connections and apps connections. For Disco Admin, you login using a database schema, which, as you stated, works. For Disco User you login using an Apps user account (for which there is a no equivalent database scherma). To enable such a connection, you need to check the "oracle applications user" check box on the 10g Disco login screen. Also, under Tools --> Options, in the Connection tab, make sure that "connect to both standard and applications EULs" radio button is selected.

Portal import scripts return invalid username/password

When we use the import scripts without modification and pass in the password as a parameter it errors out with invalid username/password. Is it because the script picks default password of portal30 instead of the one specified on command line? This is a major issue for us during migration as passwords may be different on each environment. However the scripts work when the password is hardcoded in the script. Anybody encountered the same problem. Any workarounds/fixes?

Could you please let us know what version of portal you are using. Also, let us know whether you used a UNIX script or a NT script.
