Running .exe flash file in Windows 7

Hi,
we have a flash .exe file generated from adobe_captivate5.5.I tried to run that file in windows 7.This error is coming
My account has administrative previlege.If i right click and select run as administrator it runs fine.But i need to run without doing that.Why its asking for run as administrator although i have administartor permission?how to avoid this?
Thank you

Hi there
Having an account with Admin privileges is not the same thing as running applications in administrative mode. Sorry.
I think the only way you will overcome this is by configuring Windows 7 to turn off User Account Control.
@Lilybiri, I think they were describing running a Captivate project produced as an EXE and not running Captivtate itself.

  • How do you load a URL in .exe flash file without popping up in new window.

    Hi
    I have developed a full screen .exe flash file in actionscript 2. It  controls physical lights (e.g. turn on and off) by simply calling a URL for each  action.  However, I don't want the called URL's to open in  front of the interface. Is there a way to call a hidden URL in flash?  Any advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Daz
    Cheers for getting back to me. Each light is controlled by calling a URL e.g.getURL("http://modelpc/LightControl/controllights.aspx?id=17&status=on");
    Currently the code looks like this:
    on (release) {
        getURL("http://modelpc/LightControl/controllights.aspx?id=1&status=on");
    The action is working when I use get(), but the URL pops up in a new window. I want to prevent this from happening. I am looking into using send (LoadVars.send method) at the moment...would this work? I have little experience with actionscript and its prooving to be a challenge.
    Thanks

  • Click counting on an exe flash file

    hello.
    i have an exe flash file that i will distribute to several
    people. is there a way to count the clicks they do when they get to
    certain part of the file? certain buttons, links, etc?
    also, if i have website links, how can i count when they hit
    the link?
    is there a way to do both things.
    thanks

    To count the clicks, you would simply use a Mouse.onMouseDown
    listener. It doesn't make a difference whether it's a HTML-embedded
    Flash movie or an exe.
    I think the problem arises from the fact, that you want to
    store this information somewhere, or do you want to send it back to
    your computer?
    The other thing, the website link is counted on the server,
    not within Flash.

  • Playing .exe flash file without flash player

    Hi,
    We have a .exe flash file generated from adobe captivate. If we have flash player PC,.exe will be played. If we don't have flash player on PC,it will ask for installing latest version flash player,if we give ok and click on .exe file again it will be played.But in installed program list i dont see flash player.Where is flash player installed? And is there any way to play .exe file without showing that message if we dont have flash player?
    Thank you

    No i dont see flash player in Add or remove programs. I don't know whether captivate .exe file have some inbuilt capacity to play itself. It is not problem. Our problem is we dont want that message for installation. Can we do installation of flash automatically and play once we click .exe file without showing any message or can we play .exe without flash?

  • Can't open Flash files on Windows XP

    I have Flash Player 9 installed. I can view Flash files
    online in my browsers (IE and Firefox), but when I try to open a
    Flash file on my computer to just play it in Flash Player, it asks
    me what I want to use to open the file. I have searched the support
    documents and looked online everywhere, but can't seem to find the
    problem. Basically, I can't find the actual Flash Player program
    file on my machine. I know it's there, otherwise I wouldn't be able
    to view Flash files in the browser, but I can't view them on my
    local machine.
    I have tried setting the program associated with .swf files
    in folder options to the following, but none of them work. When
    associating .swf files with any of these, it says an update for
    Flash is available. I go through the update, reboot because it says
    it's required, but when I start back up, it just does the same
    thing. I cannot open Flash files (.swf) on my computer, only in the
    browser and none of the paths I have tried setting .swf files to
    open with are actually the Flash Player application. I need to know
    where the Flash Player is on Windows XP.
    HELP?!?!?!
    The paths I've tried are:
    C\WINDOWS\stsyem32\Macromed\Flash\Flash9b.ocx
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil9b.exe
    C:\i386\Flash.ocx
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla
    Firefox\plugins\NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe
    None of them will open Flash files on my local computer. I
    have searched my machine, and those are the only paths I can find
    that have anything to do with the Flash Player. Even though it's an
    Adobe product now instead of a Macromedia product, I can't find
    anything for Flash in any Adobe directories, just Macromedia
    directories.
    Does anyone know how to remedy this? Has anyone else had this
    same problem? Any help would be
    GREATLY
    appreciated!!! It seems like I started having this association
    problem as soon as Flash was switched from Macromedia to Adobe.
    Thanks!

    I found the solution. After searching the web for what seemed
    like an eternity, I found the following on a Google Groups page:
    quote:
    1 - How can I make my PC play a flash file on my local hard
    drive?
    Unless you buy Macromedia Flash (the authoring environment)
    you can't play them just straight off, you have to open them with a
    browser which has the Flash Player plugin installed. To do this,
    either right-click on the .swf and select open with... (internet
    explorer) or open IE and then go to file... open.... etc.
    Then I realized that I started having the problem about the
    time I got my new laptop. I didn't install Flash MX on my new
    laptop because I don't really use it anymore, I use Swish, so I
    didn't install it because I hate installing programs I don't use.
    Anyways, I installed Flash MX on my new laptop and walla, I can
    open .swf files on my machine again.
    I didn't realize I had to have Flash installed (the program,
    not the player) in order to be able to open .swf files on my
    machine as opposed to viewing them in a browser. Guess I know now!
    I thought I'd post what I found in case anyone else had the
    same problem and didn't realize it.
    Thanks!

  • Cannot run adobe flash player on windows 8.1 pro with IE 11

    this is very frustrating and I have research multiple Q&A on this forum with no resolution.
    When I try to run adobe flash player I get the error:
    Either Flash Player is disabled or ActiveX Filter is ON.
    Please follow trouble shooting steps to play Flash content.
    I have gone through the steps to attempt to resolve this as indicated on the adobe site and it is not resolved
    Enable Flash Player
    Disable ActiveX Filtering
    Update Internet Explorer to get latest version of Flash Player
    I have removed and re-added IE 11.
    I have been trying to research this for days and have hit a dead end.
    Any recommendations?

    @paula1228,
    I'm sorry you're encountering issues with Flash Player on Windows 8.1 with Internet Explorer 11.  There is a new Flash Player update available today.  The new update should be available from the link at the bottom of the Flash Player Issues | Windows 8 page.  You can also run Windows Update from the Control Panel to obtain the latest update (KB2974008).  If the latest update doesn't display, install all available updates and then check for updates again.
    @NerdyWasabi,
    Microsoft embeds Flash Player in Internet Explorer on Windows 8.x.  Users cannot install Flash Player for Internet Explorer on their own.  They must install the Internet Explorer Update for Flash Player to update Flash Player on Windows 8.x

  • Can I run adobe flash on ALL window 8 devices?

    Hi all,
    Does anyone know if I can run flash on ALL windows 8 devices including the new nokia lumia W8 phablet devices and also ALL other W8 tablets made by different manufacturers?
    ie the devices listed here:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/tablets
    and here:
    http://www.windowsphone.com/en-gb?ocid=WPUKFY141020SEMBRAND
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    jd

    Even if you can get it to install, you really shouldn't use Flash Player on a tablet or phone. Apple knew eight years ago, that Flash was bad for mobile devices. Playing Flash videos drains batteries because it uses so much processor. That drain also shortens battery life in the mobile device(s).
    There are alternatives. I see a lot about "Flash Lite" (NOT an Adobe product), and several Windows phone forums recommend it. Adobe is just about done with any and all support for mobile platforms, though.

    When I am running a particular exe, I am always getting two items in my window taskbar.  One time would says "programX.vi", and the other one would says just "programX".   I don't need two.  I just want one on the window task bar.  How do I get rid of one?  They are both referring to the same exe running.

  • Run *.exe external file in creator2 success...

    Hi,
    I find (by accident) creator2 output *.txt file of external program writefile3.exe in server folder:
    <install folder>\SunAppServer8\domains\creator\config\
    The button action code in java is:
    try {
    String[] command = {"cmd.exe", "/c","F:/CreatorProjects/Button2/WriteFile3.exe"};
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);
    p.waitFor();
    } catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    If I change directory in C program by :
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <stdlib.h>
    #include <direct.h>
    void main()
         int c;
         FILE fp1,fp2;
         _chdir("F:\\CreatorProjects");
         fp1=fopen("hellofr.txt","r");
         fp2=fopen("hello.txt","w");
         while((c=getc(fp1))!=EOF)
              if(c!='\n')
                   fprintf(fp2,"%c",c);
              else if(c=='\n')
                   fprintf(fp2,"\n");
         fclose(fp1);
         fclose(fp2);
    I get the output to directed folder (now server folder doesn't have an output).
    Can someone give rational explanation for these observations???
    I wish to acknowledge my gratitude to Mr.Marco for his contribution to these ideas through this forum.

    The server functions in a globalized context. During any servlet activity (borders of ) folders disappear momentarily (say few nanoseconds) and reappear by a predetermined organized fashion. During this process server communicates with a browser. This breakdown and reformulation of folders probably is essential for linking across virtual world and may be an explanation for what we see here...
