Running Interfaces in parallel in the Package Diagram
Is there anyway to run 2 interfaces in parallel and once they both finish successfully start off another interface?
Hi! I tried to do what you suggest but... when i did it i get that the package run correctly but when i check the log of each scenario i get this error:

Any help would be apprecieted.The only way to really have everything in English is to install an English version of LabVIEW. You may want to talk to your local NI sales representative about the possibility of getting a different version.

Is running CrossOver and Parallels on the same computer a bad idea?
I know one could ask, why do you need both? Well I already had Parallels on my MacBook and I like to support CrossOver, so I bought it for the iMac and I have been running MS Office 2000 on it.
Now I'm beginning to think I might want to switch my Parallels (XP Pro) over to my iMac, and I tried installing Parallels on my iMac but it seems to not run right. I put my XP Pro disk in to install and Parallels gets stuck in a Dos-like mode where all I see is the black startup screen with a "Boot from CD Drive" message and nothing happens at all from the XP CD. And also, it won't let me quit the virtual machine; I have to manually shut off the iMac, which I'm sure is not a good idea.
So I'm wondering if having CrossOver on my computer is causing the problem.
I appreciate any assistance,...
Many Thanks, ...Frank B.The Parallels Boot Camp icon is the one you would use to create a virtual machine for Windows that has already been installed in Boot Camp. Also, when you create a virtual machine, if Windows is already installed in Boot Camp, Parallels will name the virtual machine "My Boot Camp" by default.
Boot Camp is not included with OS X, you have to download it from the Apple website. There are two versions, one for Windows XP and one for Windows Vista, so make sure you download the correct one.
You won't be able to use your Parallels for Windows license key to activate the Mac version, you'll have to buy a separate key for it. You can get a 15-day trial key if you've never used it before, so that will let you try it first before you decide if you want to buy it. -
SSIS Package runs from the Package executer and from BIDS but not from the sql agent schedular
Hi Experts,
I have 2 packages :
1. Main Package -For each loop package
2. Sub Package - As we need to collect the information from several other DB with same table structures .
The Main Package calls the Sub Package and loops through several linked server (9 of them ) .
From last 2 weeks the scheduler is running on time but no data is loaded into our destination DB .
Daily i need to manually run the package .
The SQL Agent task is scheduled using the service account from which the sql server was installed on the server so it has the full privledges.
If i run the Main package from the BIDS i see 2 messages related to the configuration of xml no error message and executes fine.
If i run the Package from the execute package utility it runs fine.
Now if the package is scheduled for a nightly load it executes fine successfully no error message also in the Job History
but when i check for the data loaded on that day no data loads up in the destination DB . Due to this behavior of the sql agent even if am on leave i have to login on to the server and exec manually so if at times i forget the exec we are in big trouble
Please experts help me in troubleshooting the issue.

We are using a service account to run the package .. Earlier in the BIDS i was getting the error crypotgenic
something password .. I googled out and changed the security : Protection Level : Dont save Sensitive
information . So that error now its not showing in the BIDS
And how is login mapping done for the linked servers? You've configured a mapped login for the service account also?

I have challaged for deployment of microsoft critical patches to client machine with the help of sccm. I have been done all configuration formalities, although previous months has been deployed successfully with any difficulties.
But This month have some issue is being running, once i was deploying the packages of microsoft critical update but members of collection is showing unknow client tab which comes in monitoring--> deployments status windows. until deadline
to be completed. Nither provide any errors or completed status, progress status.
Please guide to resolve the issue,

When attempting install of iTunes 10.5 for Windows 7 on Parallels 7, I get a message saying, "A program required to install cannot be run. Contact the package vendor or sys admin" (that's me). I completely uninstalled the previous iTunes prior to this. Any thoughts?

You can try following options to disable this prompt, but we don't recommend you to do so since this feature helps you to protect your computer.
Option 1: Run command as admin:
bcdedit -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON
Restart your computer to apply changes.
Option 2: Disable in GPO:
1.Type gpedit.msc in the Run dialog and press Enter.
2.In the Group Policy Editor, navigate to User Configuration → Administrative Templates → System → Driver Installation.
3.Double-click on Code signing for device drivers in the right-side pane as shown above.
4.In the windows that opens, choose Enabled. In the Options, choose Ignore as shown. Then click on the OK button to save the settings.
Restart your computer to apply changes.

Unable to run interface as scenario in package
Hi All,
I had a packages consists of variables,procedures and interfaces connected serially
I created scenario for that package and it runs well
later I created scenarios for the interfaces used in that package
Instead of using interfaces i am using that scenarios in the package but it fails
Please let me know if the above procedure is wrong

Is it possible to run a subVI in parallel with the caller VI?
I have a front panel VI which calls numerous subVIs, one or two of which I would like to execute simultaneously with the calling VI. The front panel has time-dependant operations which are being prevented from running because it is waiting for the subVIs to finish, even though no data is required from them.
Is it possible to call these subVIs such that they run silently in the background allowing the front panel to execute unhindered?
I've looked at the Synchronisation features but is this what I need?shoneill wrote:

non-multi treaded. What you will see in parallel loops and which can
still be distracting is that LabVIEW seems to randomly switch between
different parts of your diagram. In fact this is also what is happening

operation typically taking microseconds it
seems they execute in parallel.
The nice part of LabVIEW since version 2.0 somewhere around 1988 already
is, that it provides this seemless multithreading on every single
platform even if the underlaying OS is not multithreading capable at all
(Win3.1, MacOS).

The time actually ran up to 27hours remaining before I force quit it (it was installing for at least an hour already) I have tried this on iMacs running various versions of OSX including Maverick and Yosemite and they both have this issue. This is CC for Enterprise. The package included Photoshop, Bridge, Illustrator, InDesign, Muse, and After Effects. Here is the installer log:

As a result of the job for each and every 10 min ill be receiving a mail. How to create a job to execute my package for every 10 min.

Adobe Acrobat XI pro version, Windows 7, running on iMac parallels, converting pdf to a pdf with reduced size is not possible, error: error in converting the file! What to do? Its a bit annoying not to be able to store pdf files in reduced size, any idea?? Thanks, Jörg

Are you trying to reduce the file size with the "Reduced size PDF" in the save as other option.
Give it a try if you haven't done it prior.
Open that PDF>File>Save as Other>Reduced size PDF.
If possible ,please share the snapshot of the error message with us so that we can have a look in order to assist you further.

It looks like the server is sending the client an HTML file vs. the XML file it is expecting. Can you run a web trace on it like fiddler?
