Running Windows Desktop Store App on WACK

We created a PowerPoint Addon for windows 8 Desktop App ( created a msi installers).
Before submitting the application to windows store we need to test the application using Windows App Certification Kit.It always shows missing or invalid registry key,But when we check the registry keys are created in HKLM & HKCU under Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion.
If we check the same in Windows & OS every thing works fine.We even checked by turning off the UAC in windows 8.
On thing we noticed is the installed_programs_ecda8648-edc7-42b6-abf6-7c417f5041e8.xml created in the appdata folder does not have the registrypath set when we run the WACK in Windows 8.
If we check the same in Windows 7 following is what we see

Actually I want solution for XAML.
I achieve this by using list and maintaining the the current item position of current URL.
See the Sample code:
In webview loadingcomplete event track the url navigations

Please boot the PC and then enter BIOS settings, check if we have enabled the firmware to support UEFI mode.
Boot the PC. As the firmware starts to run, press the key that opens the boot device menu. For example, press the Esc, F2, F9, F12, or other key to enter the firmware or boot menus.

Help with 10.5 please, running windows 7, store will not load

I have searched here and seen others having this issue also but I see no fix that has worked for me.
Installed 10.5 because I am getting an Iphone 4. Itunes opens but the store will not load. Starts to loads and then just sits. I did the command prompt DNS flush fix, shut down and it did not work.
Any suggestions for me? Running Norton for antivirus. I have not seen anybody on here saying that is a problem. We have another computer running windows 7 and Norton and 10.5 is fine on that computer.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Windows 8 store apps won't install

With preview version and after first upgrading to Windows 8 regular version I was able install apps from the Store. Now all installations and updated are giving me an error code 0x80070002.
How do I fix this?

here in Toronto had the Temp fix to down load there free Global TV app and it worked for a wile and CTV and they stopped working so again it's a Microsoft issue Not the People who created the apps and are trying to get there Business up and On line like

I was able to resolve my issue once I worked with Microsoft Professional Services. Here are the steps needed to deploy a Windows 8 Store app for anyone else looking for help on this.
Create your app package in Visual Studio

* If you run your app now you should get an error, this is because you have not installed a Sideloading Key
And the missing piece of the puzzle What is a Sideload key and how can I get one?
* Documentation on this is confusing so here is what I needed to know and found out
    Sideload key is a product key that is needed to be added to the device so that it can use Windows 8 apps that are not from the Store
    It is not a requirement to have the machine joined to the domain or have Windows Enterprise installed on it. In my case my target was a Windows 8.0 Pro tablet.
    You do not need Windows 8.1 to use sideloading it will work on Windows 8.0 as well
    You can purchase a key from a Third Party Distributor but you will need to know what to ask for
    Ask for a Windows 8 Sideloading Key, Sometimes referred to as a Windows 8 Embedded Sideloading product key
    They cost about $100.00 a pop but they sell them as a Volume License so the minimum you can by is 5.
    However in my case it turned out that my company had an Enterprise Sideloading License, I just needed to know who to ask and what to ask for.
    Once you get your xxxxx-xxxxx- Slideloading key from the distributor here are the steps to installing it on the device (Section 2 Step 3)

Solution for that is like below.
Go to your App.Xaml and Right-Click thenGo to Properties
Check whether the Build Action is

If not change it to ApplicationDefinition.
Clean the code (solution) and Deploy
Now the error is fiexed.

Can I integrate a VB Database Access 2007 with a Windows 2008 store app?
If yes, can I have a hyperlink that retrieves a search inside this database and goes directly to a page created by this database?
Imagine that I have an e-book with a table of contents where I have several hyperlinks for a query that shows me a specific poem and image inside a page.

Hi Rui - there are no APIs that will connect to an Access database directly within a Windows Store app. You can convert the database to SQLite, or provide a web-based interface to the Access database in order to retrieve/update the data.

No.
There a many more differences between Windows and Mac programs than just the processor they've been using.
Projects such as http://darwine.opendarwin.org/ will probably gain more support and become "useable" now that Macs with Intel CPUs are shipping. Emulating a complete PC, using something like Virtual PC, will be much faster in the future too. Neither of these options will be as good as native programs of course.

Verizon Email accounts and Windows 8 Mail App

I will be upgrading to Windows 8 and will like to use the Windows desktop maill app for my Verizon.net account.
However, in all of the preview editions of this app, including the one I upgraded to today, the app does not support POP3 mail accounts. I does support IMAP accounts.
They suggest that I contact my email vendor to see how I can retrieve my email by configuring it as an IMAP or an EAS account.
Does anyone know how to set one of these up for Verizon.net mail accounts?

External hard drive to run windows?

I have recently gotten a macbook pro and, as a student, I will occasionally need to run windows applications such as office etc.. I have considered buying an external USB HD to do this with.
Questions:
1. Will an external hard drive work to run windows and associated apps without putting any microsoft products on my Mac? If so, what size will I need?
2. Is there a better way to accomplish this?

Basically, no.

Check for Mac versions of those applications. If there aren't any, try CrossOver Mac or WineBottler.

Replacing an existing store app

I currently have a paid app in the Windows Store. I'm in the process of re-writing this for both Windows Store and Windows Phone Store.
Am I correct in thinking that if I match the "Package Name" in the app manifest with the package name of the existing store app (there is no existing phone app), then the new app will replace the old, and anyone that has paid on Windows Store will
have access to the phone app, too?

If you already have a Windows 8 Store app then you don't have to "Reserve App Name" on Windows Phone store. You can perform following steps
Go to your Windows Phone Store Dashboard.
Click Submit an app.
Select the app name from the Dropdown which you have reserved in Windows 8 store.
