Runtime error log

Hello,
First of all, apologies for the stupid question.
A program i'm writing generates a runtime error, but the message is too long to be seen as a whole in my standard output window (WIN 98, if that makes a difference).
Is there any way to see the whole message or create a log of it?
Thanks.

Uh, if it's too long, it'll simply wrap around... does it scroll out of your window?
If so, use a standard non-fullscreen window and simply scroll.
Or redirect your output to a file by typing
your command here > c:\log.txt

    HI,
you can see the error log from portal by browsing to
System Administration -> support -> portal runtime -> log viewer
copy paste the exception id against appropriate date and time in defaultTrace.x.trc and click search. you will get the details of log.

  • Where to find adapter engine runtime/error logs?

    Hello there,
Wheere can I find the complete (i.e. not only the details of a message delivery via the runtime workbench ) error/runtime logs of the AFW engine?
Im having some problems with the file/FTP adapter and would like to take a closer look of the logs generated by the adapter.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    >>m having some problems with the file/FTP adapter and >>uld like to take a closer look of the logs generated by >>e adapter.
Using Visual adminsitrator you can view detailed logs of various components. IN VA->server->services you will find log cnfiguration, which lets u to change logging more of the components of interest from error to debug.
for better trouble shoting of problems set the logging mode to debug.
test ur scenarios and in log viewer you should be able to see the detailed log.
    cheers,

  • Error in loading the WSDL file. Check the error log for more details

    Hello,
I am trying to create a Import Adaptive Webservice Model. I am using the WSDL:
    http://www.abysal.com/soap/AbysalEmail.wsdl
I am getting the below error when I choose WSDL source as UDDI or file (I am not using any logical destination)
"Error in loading the WSDL file. Check the error log for more details."
Where can i see the error log? And what is the solution to fix this?
I am able to create the model if i save the wsdl locally on my machine and choose Local File System or File as the WSDL source. But at runtime this fails as the application tries to read the WSDL for metadata info and it looks into the application server for this file.
I also tried creating the old webservice model. And it is able to create the model. But I feel I need to use the new model as this one is deprecated.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

  • Runtime error R6025 message after log on to Vista - Flash Card not working

    Hi
I'm a newbie & would appreciate any advice.
I am getting a runtime error message R6025 when I log on to Windows Vista.
When I click out of the box I then get a message saying Toshiba Flash Card not working.
I cancel that and my laptop is ok except I don't know if the flashcard is working or not because I don't know what it does.
    Sorry if I sound thick
    Thanks
    Neelie

    Hi
I found this MS knowledge base article:
    +Description of the R6025 run-time error in Visual C++\+
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/125749
But I doubt this description would be useful for you or anyone here. It describes this error in Visual C++ and this is programming language.
However, I think you should simply reinstall the Value Added Package which you could download firstly from the Toshiba European page.
At first you have to remove the old Value Added Package from the system, then reboot the notebook and follow with new VAP installation.
    Bye

  • Runtime Error Firefighter log in GRC 10.0

When logging into the AC system with a firefighter user the system generates the following runtime error:
    Runtime Errors         OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO
    Except.                CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL
    ABAP Program           CL_GRAC_AD_ACCESS_MGMT========CP
    Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not
          caught in
procedure "RESET_USR_PWD" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
          clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
You attempted to use a 'NULL' object reference (points to 'nothing')
         access a component.
An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
before it can be used to access components.
Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the
         CLEAR statement.
This problem should be solved with SAP Note 1591209 or with SP5. We are currently on SP5 and are using:
    GRCPINV - V1000_800 (SAP-10305INGRCPINW) & GRCFND_A - V1000 (SAPK-V1005INGRCFNDA).
In these software packages the error messages should be resolved, but unfortunately the error remains.
I have checked the (RFC) users / RFC connection and repository synch. already.
Does anyone know what more needs to be done here?
    Us
    Thanx in advance.

    Simon,
    Thanx for the quick reply!
All the configuration has been done according to the manuals and using same functionality/method as in vs. 5.3.
    I configured the following elements:
    - RFC users with the correct RFC role from the new security guide.
    - RFC connections from AC system to back end and back end to AC system. Used the ealier created GRC RFC users with creating the RFC connections.
    - Configured and tested (with success) the SMTP settings in the AC system.
    - Created the Controller (and also owner) user in the AC system and configured the user master data with an emailadress.
    - Connected the controller / owner to the firefighter and firefighter ID with Tx NWBC.
    - Configuration settings for the the SUPMG module have been done with Tx SPRO.
    - Walked through all the settings in SPRO concerning 'connectors' and checked and confirmed that the connector is pointing at the back end system.
    Did I forget anything?

  • Runtime error in Logging Console

    Hi,
after upgrading to Portal 6.0 SP2 from Patch 3 to Patch 4 i get an Portal Runtime Error via System Administration -> Monitoring -> Portal -> Logging Console. (com.sap.portal.runtime.admin.logadmin.default)
I cannot start this component via the PortalAnywhere.Go either.
This has happened with three different installations already. The issue does not occur with the EP SP 2 Patch 4 from scratch installation.
    Any ideas?
    rgds Marcel

    Guys,
thanks for the help. The behaviour of the hotfix installation (7) is unexpected. It's probably due to J2EE caching or my misunderstanding of the deployment architecture but here's what happened:
I installed hotfix 7 with SAPinst on portal A. After the J2EE restart this logadmin iview still did not work.
I then uploaded the component manually via de Cluster Administration Console Component and voila: it worked.
Then I went to another portal system (B) where I installed hotfix 7 also (with logadmin still not working either). This time I verified the version that was deployed and installed against the working one from A -> they were identical! I pressed the update button and voila the iview worked, but the version number remained the same!!
I now just redeployed all the par files by renaming them back from .bak to .par and hopefully all the fixes have been applied.
Can someone understand why this happened?

  • Error logging into runtime user

My coworker recently added a new windows agent that is on a different domain than her Tidal master and is getting the error
*** Error logging into runtime user    when she tries to run a job through Tidal.
She verified that the runtime user has the proper rights on the agent server, she logged onto the agent as the runtime user and ran the script from the job manually and it ran successfully.
Is there a known problem with using a runtime user that was created in domainA but trying to run a job on an agent server in domainB?
    Thanks

It turns out that the problem was with the userid the agent service was running under.  She changed the service to run with the Local System credentials and the problem was solved.
