Hi - Is it possible to have Region data display when Reporting via TCode S_ALR_87012178? Or is there any other TCode/Report which can be utlised to Reprt on AR Overdue items by Region?

I know Region is available in Dynamic selections. My requirement is to have this display in the Report Output, so the AR Overdue items can be sorted by Region.

Creating tabs for a single SQL report type region

I would like to find a way to use tabs in a single SQL report type region. The problem I have is that there are too many columns to be displayed so the report looks very cluttered. I would like to find a way to assign say columns 1 - 5 to tab 1, 6-10 to tab 2 etc so the user can find the columns they need by simply clicking on the various tabs without having to execute the query again.
I have looked at JQuery tabs but that seems to only be applicable to more or less unrelated regions. I tried to create different regions using the same query with different columns and that kind of works, but the regions don't stay in sync if say the user change the order for column 2 in tab 1, when they click on tab 2 everything displays in a different order.
Another wrinkle is that this is an updatable report so some of the columns are updatable.
I also looked at the hide / display column solution which is described in a few threads and that may also sort of work, but it is also not quite what I am looking for.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Does anybody know if this can be accomplished using APEX? What I am really looking for is very similar to an old fashioned client / server screen developed using say Oracle Forms. Consider an order line screen where say columns line number, SKU and SKU description is to the left of the tabs so these columns are visible no matter which tab is active. Then the first tab has say pricing information including UOM, quantity, list price, unit selling price, price list. The next tab has say customer information including customer number, name, bill to and ship to addresses. the next tab has say shipping information with say the warehouse, shipping instructions and shipping method.

S_ALR_87012178 Report -Intrest is coming even though no setting for Intrest

When i see the report S_ALR_87012178,I am able to see the Interest for some of the customers even though there was no intrest settings maintained for the customer.
Kindly advice me why the intrest is coming on this report for some customers.

S_ALR_87012178 Report Issue

On the report S_ALR_87012178 is there a way to run the report and sort by the customer name or search term in alphabetical order?
is there a way to run the report and sort by the customer name and/or search term in alphabetical order? Can the report be set to sort by the sorting field (customer search text). It is now sorting by customer number which is meaningless.

Hi,
You can go to F.99 in order to see all the reports for Customers.
Hope you will find the best suitable report.
When you are using "Drill down reports" do not forget to select
"Object list (more than one lead column)" this would give you a option to sort them the line items as you want.
Just for your information: SAP1 is the transaction code for all the reports in SAP.

How use parameters on a html region for report query region

Hi all.
I have created a number of report regions which initially query some data.
The requeriment now is to have a date range (initial and final) and use this range as a parameter for report queries.
i created a new region containing these two date values. Now i need to:
- Give this date fields and initial value: say first and last day of current month.
- Perform a validation to ensure initial date is less or equal to final date.
- And most importantly, i need to reexecute the queries based on this date range.
How do i do it...?

Put the button in the "Right of Page Title" position - this puts it at the right-hand end of the region title.

Hello:
a region is simply a content container, and the report is the content.
In Region Definition->User Interface->Display Point you can choose position where the report will be displayed
Using the flashlight at the right of the select list will give you a preview of where the report will be placed in the region.

Parameterized Report Query Region

Hi,
I am trying to create a parameterize report. I have two radio button options for user to select and press the Go button to shows the report on the below region(have not created the region yet). Both of these options are going to have different Query Region SQL Code. Say one would look at the EMP table and the other at DEP table. How can I place both Query on the same region and determine which to execute to run the report base on user selection of radio button?
What would be a best solution for these kinds of reports?

You would create two report regions, one for emp, one for DEP then conditionally display them by the value returned by the radio button LOV.
condition for EMP report region would be
type: item in expression 1 = expression 2
exp1
px_your_radio_button
exp2
EMP (your returned value from px_your_radio_button when EMP has been selected)

BUG Report: Undo Region Source

Release: 4.0.2.00.07 (I haven't tested this in the 4.1 EA yet...)
In a report region with a BIG query, if I use the Undo Region Source I receive the following error -
report error:

Hi scott you are right!
If I create a region type=tree i have to select a tree query that exist (created as share component). If I midify the SQL for the tree it will be done at the shared components area and there is no undo feature.

WIDE reports iframe region or page

HTMLDB is great for reporting, however some of our reports have many many columns for the width of the normal html page.
Because the way the redering engine works I rulled out using frame-sets, since they would add another level of complexity to the template approach.
I ended up using the <iframe> tag which has a source attribute. For the source attribute I used the familiar 'page-call' syntax f?p=4000:4150:..... however this page uses a special template that only has the body defined.
Finally my question: Is it possible to reference a report / query / or region directly such that the presentation engine returns the html for that part only ?
Still I frame works really well for 'wide' reports.
Also is it possible to create our own report templates. From the pull fown selection I can't see if this is possible ?

there's currently no way to call anything less than a whole htmldb page into your app. as your finding, though, using an iframe with a minimal template works pretty well. i'm not too sure how that solves your width problem, but you seem satisfied... so that's good.
you certainly can create your own report templates in htmldb. the can end up being a pretty powerful tool, too. we talk about report templates a few different places in this forum, but here are some posts to give you the gist...

S_ALR_87012178 Report -Issue Related to Interest calculations

Hi,
When we run a customer open item analysis S_ALR-87012178 we see that there looks to be interest for overdue balances showing on the report. It doesn't appear to be assigning the interst to the customer, but I wanted to see why this was here and if we have the ability to assing interest to balances. And also where you would turn this on and off in the system or for a customer.
Kindly adivce me on this issue.i am confused because i didnot understand what they are asking.

How should i use the two results sets in one single report data region?

Hi frnz,
I have to create a report using the below condition...
Here my given data set query gives you the two result sets ,so how should i use that two result sets information in single report....when i accessing that data set query it will take the values off the first result set not for the second result set.
without using sub report and look up functionality..... if possible

You cant get both resultsets in SSRS. SSRS dataset will only take the first resultset
you need to either create them as separate queries or merge them into a single resultset and return with ad additional hardcoded field which indicates resultset (ie resultset1,resultset2 etc)
Then inside SSRS report you can filter on the field to fetch individual resultsets at required places. While merging you need to make sure metadata of two resultsets are made consistent ie number of columns and correcponding column data types should be same.
In absence of required number of columns just put some placeholders using NULL
