Safari 4.1 Problems: I think I made it much worse

So Software Update upgraded Safari to 4.1 yesterday. As others have reported, Safari then would quit whenever it was launched. I tested it on my Guest account, and it worked fine, so I went and trashed any plug-ins in my user account.
Still had the same problem, so I repaired permissions. Then I used AppZapper. Then I re-installed the 10.4.11 Combo update. Now I have Safari 3.0.4, I can't update it to 4 or 4.0.5 (because the installer says I have a newer version of Safari installed), and Safari 3 continues to crash anyway.
I posted this in another topic, but that question was marked as "Answered," so I wasn't sure anyone would be checking there. Here's the latest report I've gotten. I'd really like to find a way to both upgrade to 4.0.5 and get Safari working again. Its been my primary browser for years, and is now fairly critical to my life. Thanks in advance!

Repair center made it much worse

My T420 stopped working this week, the screen was just showing garbage, so I took it to a local authorized repair center (Victoria, BC). When I picked it up a few days later, the case was not put together correctly. There are large gaps on all sides, the border around the LCD panel is not fastened correctly, and the bottom of the plastic case is actually broken, one corner is completely missing.
I called Lenovo technical support and I was told to return it to the same repair shop. Is there any way to get this dealt with without dealing with the same people who screwed up the original repair?

The HTC hotspot works fine with everything else I connect to it.
Also - ipad will not connect to my HTC via bluetooth. Again, I can connect to everything else with my HTC other than my ipad.
I have to say this is my first venture into Apple products and I have always wanted to get away from my windows based laptop to get a MacBook, the problems I have had (flash player etc) & continue to have (as above) are putting me right off swapping over. I HATE technology that doesn't work and my ipad has been hard work!

I stated my ipad as being an ipad2, but I now think it is a 3??? It was new Jan this year and is the 64gb retina display version.
I really would like to get to the bottom on this problem wit mobile hotspots as it is sitting on my desk next to me now and I cannot get it to connect to my HTC mobile hotspot!!!! It might be taking a flying lesson soon at this rate!!! Grrrrrrr...........

Safari auto-fill problem

Hi all.. Since the second last firmware update of my Touch 2nd gen, Safari normally auto-fills website's login forms (thus settings should be okay) except for.. wlan login forms! Therefore, every time I have to manually write down username and password in order to gain network access.. I don't know whether it is a known issue or even a strange "wanted" feature..in any case, there's a way to overcome this annoying problem? Thank you in advance.

I have asked a similar question several times before, and I have the answers varied from the typical I do not have that problem to its a security feature incorporated in Safari.
I tend to think it is a new feature added ito safari n the last several months (via an update).
The bottom line is I am NO longer able to stay logged into various websites if I quit safari, even though the websites have the feature available that should allow a user to stay logged in for 2 weeks.
The only way I can now stay logged in for an extended period of time is to NEVER quit Safari.
That is not an option for me.

Your iDisk is still accessible after moving to iCloud in exactly the same way as before. Nothing is deleted until June 30th 2012.

No, you couldn't. Firstly, nothing was deleted from your iDisk. Secondly, any files stored on your iDisk should never be your only copy. Even if your iDisk spontaneously combusted, you should keep local backups elsewhere.

Apple has made no effort to suggest remedies for the problem it has given iDisk users
They've provided instructions on how to download your files from your iDisk. What you do with them after that is your choice.

Safari load image problem with iMac Intel core

I got my new iMac 20" Intel core and system updated everything. I found that Safari cannot load image in my web photo album ( http://fotop.net/nicknick ), all image became "?".
I can load this page correctly with FireFox and Opera Browser. I also try the iMac 17" PowerPC in my office with the latest version Safari, it also load the album correctly. And I know this web is created and store in a Linux server, the web page coding not written or optimized to IE.
I've try to reinstall the whole OS X, nothing else installed, the same problem occurred.
Is it the problem on Intel core? or any setting I can do to overcome it?
Hope the problem could be solve, I like to use Safari except this problem.

You're right, I'm puzzled by the imac.
Intel imac is at my home, ppc imac is at my office;
both using same ISP but different service plan,
(home:) PPPoE, ADSL modem -> buffalo MIMO wireless router -> intel imac (both direct wire or wireless connect have same result)
(office:) fixed-ip, ADSL modem -> firewall -> Linksys wireless router -> ppc imac (wireless)
both network setting with manual assigned IP, gateway and same DNS
Same result occurred when (1)open box new machine, (2)after updated system, (3)reinstall whole OS with preserve the old setting, (4)reinstall whole OS with erase the whole harddisk option, (5)updated system after the reinstallation.
I firstly think may be some security setting in imac that blocked the images, but can't found out. I secondly think some html code at this web not work on Safari.
May someone with same machine help to open this web to see if all intel imac get the same result?

I have a Family Home on its own site, which has hyperlinks to 3 sites, one for each family member. I changed the name of the main site from Nick, Vanessa, & Graham (it worked fine when it was called that) to NickVanessaGraham after reading that maybe it would fix my OTHER problem-
On each individual Nick, Vanessa, and Graham site I have a dummy page called "Back to Family Home" which I'd been using MRI to link back to the main site. Now all those links lead to Mac's "We're sorry" page.
Also, when I've been running MRI it's not changing any of my files. I've tried doing new searches, adding new files to search, and it's not changing anything.
I have also tried opening iDisk and then running MRI, nothing.
And I have tried rebooting iWeb.
This is my MRI search:
Find: href="Back%20to%20Family%20Home.html"
Replace: href="../NickVanessaGraham/Family%20Home.html"
I am out of ideas, what have I done.... Help?

Perhaps MRI is looking for your old site folder names? Check the "Files" area of MRI and make sure your site folders are in there.

I bought an iMac a week ago and installed Firefox via Safari. It worked fine for a while but, after a recently switching on, it won't connect to the web whereas Safari has no problems.
I've tried following the Firefox Help, looking into the iMac firewall, but still no luck.
I've no idea whether related or not but yesterday I had a system glitch where the iMac stated no wi-fi was installed and only connected via a physical lead to my house router. Also, there was no sound output via Safari. However, after booting up today all seems well – apart from Firefox still not working. It loads the start page but can't access the web.
I have Little Snitch running, and wonder if that's the culprit... but it's working fine with Safari, seemingly.
(Finally, how do I stop a dialogue box appearing on start-up saying that "To open “X” you need a Java runtime. Would you like to install one now?)
Any ideas anyone?

If it is WEP, one of the problems is that the actual standard relies on a 10 character HEX key for 40bit WEP and a 26 character HEX key for 128bit WEP. In order to make things easier, vendors use certain algorithms to convert simple alphanumeric passwords (or passphrases) into HEX keys, thus enabling the use of simple easy to remember WEP password rather than lengthy HEX keys. The problem is that different vendors use different algorithms to generate the HEX key and therefore a ASCII password on an AEBS will be hashed differently on a non-Apple client and vice versa. iPhone warranty is not international. You will have to return your
iPhone to Saudi Arabia for repair/replacement. Either take it back
yourself or send to friend/relative for them to take to Apple. Apple
will not accept international shipments for repair nor will Apple

How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.

The Dimensions and size of the problem movie are 1920X1080 and 584 MB respectively, while the movies that play better have Dimensions of 853X480 and are about 1.3 GB in size. Are you exporting to QuickTime Movie, or to QuickTime Conversion? For iDVD, you need to export to QuickTime Movie. Exporting to QT Conversion will kill the quality if you are moving the video from FCE to iDVD.
The file size per se makes no difference.
What size (pixel dimensions) are the photos that you put into your 1920x1080 sequence? Also, exactly what are the sequence properties ... is it 1920x1080i60 ... or i50? In North America it should be i60.
853X480 is an odd frame size. Where are you seeing this number? It would appear to be DV-NTSC, which has a frame size of 720x480. Your 1920x1080 frame size would not be DV-NTSC, it would be Apple Intermediate Codec. DV and AIC will look different, for sure.
Also, your quality setting in iDVD can affect the final video. You may want to check that also (in iDVD Preferences > Projects). Set it to Professional Quality if at all possible.

I should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Using other browsers the window or frame of the game is much larger, therefore everything shows.
