Safari seems stuck...

I was running the Discovery application which I'm quite impressed with.
After going through the pages of an article it pops up an add for a broader tool and I clicked the Learn more.... link which opened Safari and went to the website www.cooliris.com/desktop/?a=discover
At that time and every next time I've opened Safari it goes to this website, connects and displays the animated home page, then pops open a window [ connecting... ] and the web browser is frozen there.
No matter where I tap, the web browser ignores my actions and just sits there.
How do I get rid of this page so that I can use the browser??? Help!

This doesn't solve your problem but I was able to view the URL that you supplied without any problem on my iPad. The application does look impressive.
Resetting your iPad as has been suggested should clear up your problem.

Try downloading it from the Apple site. Set Safari to download to the desk top:Safari preferences>general>save downloads to desktop. Download to desktop, and run the installer:

Just setting up new mac mini however system seems stuck on Bluetooth at startup and not seeing new trackpad or keyboard both wireless?

Hehehe... Yes, a freshly-booting Mac from the factory can get confused with all that wireless traffic. In the past I've been able to get new Macs to pair with a keyboard and mouse/trackpad by switching the keyboard/mouse/whatever off and then on again while the computer is attempting to find something to pair with. The computer will attempt pairing with the newly-activated device and otherwise pretty much ignore all the other Bluetooth chatter is sees.
That said, whenever I set up a Mac for someone, I always bring a USB keyboard and mouse with me. It makes the process faster and easier. I then set up their Bluetooth input devices later, using System Preferences.

When I save an e-mail as a file, it opens (seems stuck) to the same old one saved earlier. How do I unstick it?

I use a MAC desktop and Thunderbird with latest update. Recently, when I've tried to open an e-mail that I saved earlier as a file with the .eml suffix, what opens is always the same unrelated e-mail that I saved earlier to an unrelated file. It seems stuck on that same unrelated e-mail, no matter what the file or what e-mail I intended to save. For example, I save (i.e., drop-down menu: Save As - File) an e-mail that I received regarding Topic A; then I go to the folder or file to which I saved it and locate the e-mail under the correct name in which I saved it; I double click and then click on Open; what always opens is an e-mail of a few months ago that I received from Bernie. It doesn't happen on my MAC Air laptop.

Until recently, I've been able to save e-mails to files and folders by clicking "Save As" on the dropdown File menu. In the last few weeks, whenever I open any one of the many e-mails that I've saved over time as files, it doesn't open the e-mail that I'm trying to open. Instead, what opens up is always the same old email of a couple of months ago that has no relationship to the one I'm trying to open. Somehow, it's stuck on that same old e-mail. So, yes, your response is technically correct: (a) I open the message, and (b) I see what's in there. But what I always see is the same old unrelated e-mail message. I'm having trouble uploading my macfamilyTree 7 database to iCloud. It seems stuck on 6 % I can see the storage value has changed in iCloud on my devices but I cannot see my upload or access it.

I have this problem as well and the MacFamilyTree developers have been unable to help. It appears to be related to the media attached to a family tree. If you have a family tree without any media attached then it will upload without any issues, however more than around 5MB of files seems to stop this. The file size in icloud appears correct but according to mft 7 the upload is still taking place.
If anyone has any suggestions....

I'm sorry to hear that your phone is having data and power issues. That's never awesome! smashogre had a great tip, too. I hope it has worked for you. If not, I do recommend an alternative reset to return the phone to the factory settings. Hi my iphone 4 is also having the same problem of hanging with the same screen reflected. itunes keep suggesting me to do a restore setting but it fails to restore after running half way. Have u solved your problem ardy..? Hw can i / we do about it...?

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? How do I delete a message I forwarded, which seems "stuck" in my outbox? (Never "sent") It's impeding all other downloads.

I attempted to forward an e-mail on March 8, but it never actually went through. It seems 'stuck' in my Outbox, and I can't see any way to delete it. In the meantime, it's impeding any and all other items I attempt to download. Help!!

I ended up shutting down my system, and when I started it back up, I was able to drag the photo to the trash and delete it (I did get a message warning that my deleting the photo might negatively affect the application that was "using" it, but I deleted it anyway...it worked...and I'm hoping I didn't adversely affect another application!).

Explorer.exe application error "Memory could not be written" ?! OS seems stuck now

(Model # m6-k010dx) My new laptop after 13 months automatically updated from windows 8 to 8.1 after I had said 'no' as many times as it allowed. After the update my files are still on it and most things are there but it seems 'stuck' and the orange screen keeps flickering like start to desktop so fast you usually can't even click anything in time to open it before it switches. I was told that the drivers probably needed to be updated first (eventhough I am pretty sure I kept up with all my other updates that popped up the only one I postponed was 8.1) and that I should refresh it, so I lose my programs but keep my files. I'm so sad I now lost Photoshop cs6 and my prefered antivirus (webroot) But anyway back to 8.0, it functioned fine aside from annoying pop ups to install norton antivirus no thank you, i bought webroot again. no updates were available.
I went to HP.com drivers update, searched for my pc and its correct update, and next thing I know is it's installing windows 8.1....??!
So again when it's 'done' and reboots, the screens flicker forever. I shut down, restart, same. so I put it back to windows 8...it will install 8.1 on its own any day now.. Please help asap!!!
Also forgot to mention when the screens are flickering, a few explorer exe application errors pop up on occaision. IE: "the instruction at 0xaa0c663c referenced memory at 0xaa0c663c. The memory could not be written. Click ok to terminate the program." was one the last time,
and the time before it, the initial windows 8.1 update when I still had Webroot antivirus, the pop up said "the instruction at 0x9b63663c referenced memory at 0x9b63663c. The memory could not be written. Click ok to terminate the program." the other pop ups the initial time came from Webroot - IE: "This file is trying to install itself to start every time the computer turns on C: /Windows/system32/DrvInst (dot) exe" and gives the options to block, allow once, or allow always.
Another trying to install every time computer starts is "C: /WINDOWS/system32/wbem/WMIADAP (dot) EXE"
and another is : "Process ID: 4244

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP ENVY m6-k010dx Sleekbook and trying to update to Windows 8.1. Before updating did you make sure your system was up to date with Windows. Here is something from Microsoft that might help.
Looking into this I have found that it is a driver issue usually associated with USB devices.
Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues.
Plug the power adapter directly into a functioning wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.
I recommend to do this update to disable your Anti Virus or Webroot temporarily to allow the update to go through.

You now need to import those files into Lightroom.
BTW, Lightroom uses a "referenced" system so your images will always be in the folders you download/copy them to. Lightroom is a database first and foremost, albeit with non-destructive editing capabilities (effectively Adobe Camera Raw).

You have likely ruled out the possibility that the problem was with the iPad (by exchanging it). I would now suspect that the charger or cable is at fault. Take the charger & cable, along with the iPad back to the Apple Store and have them evaluate them all. If the charger and or cable is defective, they will exchange yours for another.

I had this same problem. Tried everything the internet said including a full restore. Which was terrible. Nothing worked until.....go to general...reset....reset all settings.
You had to go back in and reset anything you customized afterwards, however it does not allow the store to load. Thanks!
