Safari Youtube issue!

1 out of 2 or more videos that I play at youtube, are played for half a minute or more and then the slider goes to the begining and the video stops.
In the middle of the video the loading circle of dots is spinning and spinning.

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Uninstall the old plugin then reinstall new.
Very important to uninstall the old plugin first.
Uninstall old >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Reinstall new >  http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Then open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Delete All
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video.

    I have an iPhone 3GS and today all of the software that required the use of the internet just stopped working.
    Safari, YouTube, iTunes, and the AppStore all do not work. I click on one of these four icons, it pops up for about five seconds, then it goes right back to the home screen.
    I tried shutting off my phone. Didn't work.
    I tried reconnecting it to iTunes itself. Didn't work.
    I reset my network connections. Didn't work.
    I erased my History, Cache, and Cookies. All that did was make it so that when I click on Safari, my Bookmarks come up. The internet still doesn't work.
    A friend of mine has a theory that these "apps" aren't working because of the snow/rain/ice storm I'm currently in the middle of and that once it blows over, my internet should work again.
    My WiFi and 3G work.
    I'd like to avoid resetting my phone to it's orginal settings if that's possible.
    My most recent update is the 4.2.1 update.

    You tried resetting all settings on the device by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings?
    There is no reset in iTunes, are you stating that you did a restore? If you did a restore, did you restore as a new device or from your backup?
    What you describe sounds like an issue in the settings of your device. If you have not already, restore as a new device.

    Thought I would throw this question out there.
    I was finally (after restoringmy K1) able to get all my updates complete. I have the latest version as of today on the Honeycomb.
    Here is the issue...now my internet is shutting down at random for one thing. I have to go back in each time to settings and turn it back on. There seems to be more touch screen delay or nonrecognition. Finally, I can not watch a youtube video through.
    Here is an example of my youtube issue...
    I watch it in youtube for mobile which I got from the youtube website. The video starts fine, only takes a few seconds to buffer and then plays. It will play for about 2 to 4 minutes into the video and then it jumps to the end,stops the video and you can not rewind,restart or reset it at all. The only option is to refresh but still same thing happens. I tried using youtube yesterday and today with the same results. Here is the other catch. My son has a cheap nextbook that I decided to try the exact options on side by side just to make sure it was not our internet connection. His worked fine all the way through. Mine juped to the end and stopped. I tried a different video today...same thing.
    I have read through other posts. Does anyone have fixes for these issues? Honestly, I have a few more days to actually return this. I just need to make a decision. I am just afraid that I am going to always be rittled with peoblems. However I like the tablet when it is working. I am not really sure how well all tablets work except that I know my son doesn't have the problems that I do. He really has not had a y problems and we bought ours around the same time. I have what seems like a lot of force closes when he rarely has any if at all.

    Well, it is done. I returned the K1 yesterday. I just decided the bugs that I had and the constant frustrations were just not worth it. I think at this time I will just stick with my laptop.

    Safari ios7 issues on iPad Air - can't open new tabs or view other tabs.
    The + sign just closes the app every single time!
    In some cases, the back and forward buttons don't work.
    It's driving me crazy becuase if the webpage I'm on opens and ad or tab that I don't want to look at, I can't close it and go back, I have to retype the web address in and find where I was on the site!

    I, too, tried all the fixes...nothing worked.
    Found another thread on this forum and looks like a lot of us are having same problem.
    Next time it happens, go to SETTINGS/GENERAL/ABOUT and check to see it there is a "low memory" incident report.

    Seems to be common....this could turn into a HUGH issue.

    I am having this exact same issue, only on an ASP.NET page. I can print the report, but it does not display at all.

  • Odd Safari Youtube Player Issue.

    As of last night safari started doing this in Youtube where half of the video will appear white! It will go away if I enter full screen and back. I've tried every thing to correct this issue and no luck.
    I have reinstalled safari, deleted the cache, cleared the flash cookies, deleted the profile, deleted the prefs and i'm now running in 32 bit mode. When I start the vid it will flash a white vid screen and half the vid screen in small size will appear white.     if it's only youtube, and a new user account on your mac is the same, then very likely it's their end, not yours.
    You could try different Flash versions (newer and older and even the 64 bit 'preview') or disabling hardware acceleration or switching browser user agents - but they were perhaps included in 'everything'

  • Strange YouTube issue on Safari (and Chrome)

    This is a strange/hard to explain problem, but here it goes.
    I usually use Chrome, and yesterday I noticed while watching videos on YouTube that the way videos play looks very jerky and uneven, even when I have nothing else open that could possibly be making my computer run slowly. Oddly, if I move my mouse around while a video is playing, this issue resolves.
    I also noticed that the videos themselves move down if I scroll down the page. This is kind of hard to describe unless you can see what I am talking about, but its as though the videos follow my frame of view. They aren't fixed in the box they play in on the top of the page. If I scroll halfway down the box where the video is playing, the top of the video is still at the top of my page, and the bottom half is what is hidden (as thought it is "behind" where the uploader info, top comments, etc. are).
    Finally, if I start to type in the search bar at the top of YouTube, the bottom half of the suggested searches are hidden, as though they are behind the video.
    All of this happens on both Chrome and Safari, so it doesn't seem to be browser specific. I suspected a Flash issue to I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash, but had no luck. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome but still couldn't fix the issue.
    Any idea what's causing this to happen? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Ok. Things are still acting strange.
    I logged out of my account and logged in as a Guest, went to YouTube in Safari and clicked on a video, and everything was fine. I clicked on another video just to make sure and there was a black box where the video should be. I couldn't right click to see Flash settings, I couldn't do anything, it was just black. I logged in and out as a Guest several times and the same thing happened. After the first video, where everything works, its like Safari loses the ability to play Flash on YouTube.
    I moved on to the Disk Repair and did what you suggested (it said the disk was working fine), restarted, and logged in as a Guest first. YouTube worked perfectly fine, even after the first video. Then I logged back in to my account, had the same YouTube problems in my original post, logged out and back into Guest, and had the same problem where the first video works and then after that just a black box.
    Sorry for the long explanation. Just want to give as complete a picture as possible. This is all very weird to me because I seem to be having these issues out of the blue... It seems to have something to do with the settings on my account, considering things got messed up on Guest only AFTER I had logged in to my account.

  • Safari, YouTube video doesn't change, works in OS X M Lion, not Mavericks

      Since I upgraded to OS X Mavericks just a week ago, I have experienced an abnormality when switching between video's on YouTube.com, this isn't an issue present in OS X Mountain Lion, and only seems to affect Safari. So this is what happens,
    Open a video on YouTube.com, watch the video until the end, you are shown suggestions
    Click a suggest, the web page will refresh showing the detail, title and other relative information to that video, but the video does not change, it is still the same video you watched moments ago
    When you refresh the page manually, everything operates normally, until you reach the end of the video and click another suggestion
    So this isn't present on Safari on OS X Mountain Lion, only in Mavericks, but doesn't affect browsers like Chrome. Does this sound like a software bug, or something that YouTube should fix, I expect a bug as I have noticed all the more growing number of glitches in Mavericks since the launch.
    What do you think, any suggestions?

    I'm having troubles with youtube - both on Safari (I can't open it) and on Chrome (I have to refresh many times before I can watch a video and sometimes I can't watch it);

    hi. I'm on a mac osx 10.4.11
    firefox 3.6.15
    my only add on is adblock plus
    all plugins disabled.
    my issue is that firefox is just too bloody slow. I'm hoping I've got the terminology correct when I say it's "hanging."
    if I try to scroll with my trackpad, if I start to type , if I open or close a new window or tab, the arrow coverts to a whirling ball and there's enough of a delay that I feared my laptop was starting to go. but then I tried using safari and then my web is as quick as can be!
    also in youtube, when I play a video, sound is good but the image stops and stalls for 3-5 seconds at a time, resuming in sync with the sound.
    any tips?
    I'm sorry if this is answered on the forums already, but I didn't see any way to search the forums for issues. I could easily search help, or I could scroll through page after page of forum questions, ten at a time, which is tedious when your browsers full of issues. tips on faster forum searching gladly accepted, and with thanks.

    hello akhilaniyan, a reinstallation of firefox won't help in most cases. please try to [[Update Firefox to the latest version]] first & then do a reset of the browser: [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]]

  • Safari, YouTube, audio and refreshing???

    I have noticed in the past couple of days that, when watching YouTube on my Mac, the audio continues even after I clink a link and move on to a new webpage. For example, I'm watching a video on YouTube and I hit the link to my Watch Later list. The new webpage loads but the audio from the previous video I was watching continues.
    The only way I have found (yet) to correct the issue is to 1. use Command R or 2. Open another video.
    What gives?
    FYI - running OS X 10.9.1

    1. System Preferences >  Flash Player > Advanced >  Delete  All
         Press the "Delete All" button
         Install Adobe Flash Player.

        Follow the prompts.
        Quit Safari.
        Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
    2.  Allow  Plug-ins
        Safari > Preferences > Security
        Internet Plug-ins >  "Allow  plug-ins"
        Enable it.
        Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.

    Hello,
    For the past week, I've had an issue playing YouTube videos. Whether I'm trying to view a video on YouTube's site or a video embedded in another site, the video will play for about 1-2 seconds, then it stops playing (giving me the circle-loading icon) for 1-2 seconds, then it plays for about 1-2 seconds - this cycle of play-stop-play keeps repeating until I eventually give up.
    I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Flash, repairing disk permissions, and tossing my preferences. I use 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 as my DNS servers.
    I'm using the new Safari 4.0 beta, but the exact same issue also occurs in Firefox (v3.0.7).
    Other streaming video sites (Vimeo, for example) tend to work OK on both Safari and Firefox.
    I'm on a Dual 2.7 Ghz PowerPC G5 running Mac OSX (10.4.9) with 8 gigs of ram and a cable modem connection.
    Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

    Possibly you are not using the latest version (10) of FlashPlayer? You need this to play the H.264 format of some YouTube Flash Videos.
    The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:

    (You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
    Note that Adobe requires you to uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, as mentioned here:

  • Something wrong with Safari YouTube?

    As of the other day, whenever I watch a Youtube video on Safari in the desktop mode, which I prefer over the mobile version or the app, it says, "Sorry, this video is not available on this device." The problem is, it's on virtually every video now, even ones I've watched before. At first I just gave in and watched on the mobile Safari version (because I really dislike the app), and it worked for a time, but now even on a lot of videos in the mobile version I'm getting the typical 'the owner of the content hasn't made it available on mobile, watch later on pc' thing, whereas I used to be able to go to the desktop version to circumvent that.
    So what's the deal? Has Apple just had another falling out with Google or something? Is it just me? A glitch, hopefully? I really don't want to succumb to getting the app if I don't have to, and I'm hoping this will just pass or get fixed in an update, but I'm not holding my breath. Anyone else have this problem? Or any solutions? Any help would be appreciated, and thanks ahead of time!

    I have tried again a few times and I seem to be getting mixed results. As long as I use the mobile version I have no issues. But I did try using the desktop version after I cleared Safari and it worked for a few videos. I went back to Safari later and tried again and it wouldn't work. Safari is not the browser that I use on my iPad. I usually use iCab mobile.
    If the videos are flash videos, you should get the message that tells you that they are in Flash.
    I cannot explain why it worked for you up until now or why I was getting the results that I was getting either.

    Why hasn't the safari issues (dropping out during webpage loads) been fixed on the iPad?  VERY FRUSTRATING when you can't use this great product for one of its intended uses. After using many Apple products over the years - this issue is the first that has made me consider switching to another product.

    When opening a web page or moving within a website; safari will just drop out to an ipad screen and you have to reopen safari.  Seems to be random as it happens on multiple websites.  Sometimes it seems that embedded videos cause it (ie a YouTube video) but that causes only about 25% of the dropouts.
