Sales order item requiring assignment

Hi SD Gurus
I need a sales order without any costing/accounting/profitability context/connection/dependencies whatsoever. I have set up a material type which is not valuated , a sales document type where billing fields are blank and an item catgory where billing relevance are blank and item is free of charge item
However when I create the sales order I get information message "A"  as below and subsequently an incompletion log "B".
How can A and B be eliminated?

A :  "Error occurred in derivation rule.
Step xx Plant/Product -> Prod Category
No entry in a derivation rule was found for the specified source fields.
The derivation rule was set up so that an error message appears when this happens.
The required derivation rule entry would need the following source fields: Plant/Product number"
B: "Missing data : "profitability segment number "> Complete data > Account assignment > order?"

Hi, friend
I checked the IMG settings using  key word 'Derivation'.
I got some T-codes, There were some nodes located there.
I don't know which configuration should be the right one for u.
You should check the message first, then confirm what the function is .
For the Incompletion Log message, you just need to create a new procedure without checking that field.

  • Sales Order/Item as Account Assignment in Accounting Doc.

    I have a scenario where we are selling some services. Process is to create sales order --> Create billing document in reference to sales order & then release it to accounting. I am using materials of type DIEN( service) for the purpose and have customized the sales order / item category. Process is working fine till creation of accounting document but the accounting document is missing sales order/item in it [as account assignment]. I am not sure what config I am missing.
    Attached file shows where I am expecting the sales order / item to be seen.
    Please provide hints on this.

    If you want the billing doc to post in the sales order as cost object, then your GL has to be cost element and the account assignment category in Sales order must be E
    Check the Requiremebt Type in the Procurement tab of sales order.
    This RT is assigned to a Requirement Class and the RC is mapped to Acct Assgn Catg.
    Spro - Cost object controlling - prod cost by sales order - control of sales order related.....
    In this node you can see which RC is assigned to RT

    I want to assign a contract to a sales order item in a ABAP report. The function module "BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE" seems not be suitable for this action. The document link is not correct.

    Hi Rajesh Banka,
    In sales order if you item category group is relevant for Billing Plan (Milestone) then you will get a billing plan tab for sales order item in Va01 T.code.
    You can go to MM02 and change item category group of material to Milestone billing in Sales org2. and then try creating order for the item using va01, go to item level you will get the billing plan tab.

    Using T.Code QM01, we get in to a screen with Sales Order, Item, Delivery , Item. Once we give the details of the SO number or any other fields, it leads us to the Customer Feedback Notification Screen with Customer Details.
    Same kind of pop up with Customer Interaction Center is expected. i.e when we run T.Code CIC0, it takes you through the screens directly to Customer Feedback Notification without the popup of Sales Order/Item screen like in QM01.
    Question is - we are getting Popup of Sales Order, Item..in QM01, where as it is not happening in CIC0... Can we set this popup (salesorder, sales item screen) even for CIC0.
    I tired to set this in Dataflows in CIC Dataflows..but I could not get it..Please let me know how to get this happen.

  • Sales order item report based on results analysis key and status

    Hi,
    I am trying to find a a report to generate list of sales order items with following selection
            -invoicing status -invoiced/not invoices (other status)
            -result analysis key assigned to this item (VBAP-ABGRS)
            -system status /released/teco
    Basically i am CO consultant and not so familiar with the SD statuses. I tried VA05 and V.26 but all required selections are not available in these reports.
    If no standard report is available in ERP, i would like to have it in BI. Can some help me with table fields for statuses.

    Go to SE16 and give VBUK table and execute it there you can select the following feilds and then check wheather they are meeting your requirements or not.If they are meeting your requirements then create a new Z report by copying standard VA05 key feilds. and include the other feilds which you need.So you take your ABAP team help

  • Missing CO Sales Order Item in 643 Cross Company Movement

    Hi all,
    we are working in a make-to-order scenario in which the company A/plant A sells a finished product produced by company B/plant B.
    The sales order item is a cost object (account assignment category E – “Ind. cust. w. KD-CO” is set in the requirement class in use) and is derived into the Transfer Order (Account Assignment tab) from production company B/plant B to selling company A/plant A.
    When we try to transfer the finished product from plant B to plant A by means of 643 movement the system provides error message  KI 235 – Account xxx requires an assignment to a CO object where xxx is the Cost Of Goods Sold for company B. This is due to the fact that FI is not able to derive the sales order item as a posting cost object.
    We have activated cross company  CO objects by deactivating the Company Code Validation indicator (field TKA00-RKBUK) for controlling area settings.
    Any suggestions?

    sales order is maintining  item level text . is there any posibility to update same text at the item level in delivery ?  Means after creating delivery the sales order item text tranfered to delivery item  text.
    How can i update the sales order item level text to delivery item level text.
    is there any user-exit or any configuration process or any other process. please let me know

    Refer to page 19. you will have to assign the requirement to the access sequence of the header/item text determination, this, you can ask your functional consultant to do it,. If you want to code your own requirement, then refer to the link that I provided you above.

    We are going with sales order costing for services
    Service material is non-valuated hence the scenario is non-valuated sales order stock
    PP module is not implemented.
    I am having following questions
    1. How to track the actual costs at sales order item level? Is Internal order/CO production order is required to be created for the same?
    2. Can I do activity confirmations directly from cost center to sales order item.
    3. Can Raw material is issued directly against sales order item.
    4. Is Sales order is a real or statistical account assignment object?

  • Project Revenue Plan Not Update from Sales Order Item

    I am generating a network and project from the sales order item using Assembly processing. I am using milestone billing on the sales order item and the milestones attached to the project network activities are appearing as billing blocks on the sales order item billing plan. However, the project revenue is not getting updated from the sales order billing plan. Can someone please help?
    I have deleted the billing plan on the billing WBS element and activated revenue planning update from sales order in cusomization for PS. I am looking at CNS41 under the project revenue sched in version 0. Is there a different report I should be looking at?

    HI Venkat,
    You are looking at the correct report & I believe you have also done the necessary customization. If you create a sales order and reference it to a quotation, the related plan values in the WBS element are refreshed automatically.
    When the payment data is recorded, the terms of payment and the customer payment history are taken into consideration. One of the probable causes could be the credit limit of the customer might have been exceeded. Take help of your SD consultant & increase the credit limit for that customer (from the sales document), t-code FD32 if it is permitted in the business.
    After the new credit limit is set execute the following steps:
    u2022     Go to the t-code Change billing request (VA02)
    u2022     Open the required billing request
    u2022     Remove the account assignment of WBS element from each line item
    u2022     Save the billing request
    u2022     Reopen the billing request in change mode
    u2022     Reassign the WBS elements to all line items
    u2022     Now the changed credit limit will take affect
    u2022     Check the Planned Revenue for the said project in CNS41, it should get updated.

    Hi Experts,
    My requirement is Release strategy in sales order is required before MRP run. My client is doing the following process:
    1) Creation of Sale order (MTO).  Ex: User creates 10 sale orders per day.
    2) MD04- Stock Requirement List. All 10 Sale orders should be displayed. So no problem here.
    3) MD50-Make to order-Planning . Here when user gives the sale order number and sale order item and press enter, then only the released sale orders should be allowed and the rest sale orders it should throw a error message and it should not allow to process further.
    How this situation can be addressed in SAP.
    Kindly post some hints and comments.

    Define and Assign status profile BS02 at sales order detail (line item) lets say with create and release status
    SD>Sales>Sales documents>Define and assign status profile
    Have create status as default while creating SO with item
    And do a user exit change for MD50 with ABAP consultant help and release it when user keys in SO and item.
    For other line item I believe it will give an error
    Pls try and update if it solves your requirment

    It is possible to maintain Billing Plan in Sales Document Type (VOV8), as well as Item Category level (VOV7). As you want it at Item level, maintain the same in Item Category Configuration at Item level & it will by default be captured in Sales Order at Item level.
    Step 1: Sales Document Type
    IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents >
    Sales Document Header:
    1. Sales Document Type:The sales document types represent the different business transactions, such as Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, etc. To create new sales order type, always copy as with reference to similar sales order. If possible use standard sales order.
    2. Define Number Ranges For Sales Documents: Maintain number range with discussion with core team.
    3. Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
    A. Combine sales organizations / Combine distribution channels / Combine divisions: Ensure to maintain these, else Sales Order creation will give error.
    B. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas: Assign only required Sales Order Types to required Sales Area. This will minimize selection of Sales Order Type as per sales area.
    Sales Document Item:
    1. Define Item Categories: If possible use Standard Item Category. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Item Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving item category: Sales Document Type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Category = Item Category

    Dear Gurus,
    Can anyone tell me how to extend input fields like Statistical order(COBL-AUFNR)  and cost center(COBL-KOSTL) in sales order for accounting assignment and these fields have to be ready for manual entries. The order types are ZHGA and ZHV.
    Which program has to be modified and how it can be modified?

    There is a manual change for tax classification for material master in va02 initially it was blank now it is changed to ' 0 ' is any way influencing....?
    Definitely material Tax classification will influence to determine the Tax code.
    -->So Make sure that customer and material master having proper tax classification indicator.
    -->Have you Update the price after changing the tax classification in the sales order.by going to item dat -->condition tab then click on Update push button bottom of the conditions screen.
    -->Once again the check the condition record maintanence also for your MWST access sequence.

    You can check out two table in respect to Sales TEXT i.e. STXH (STXD SAPscript text file header) and STXL(SAPscript text file lines).
    The best approach of tracing out the Text in respect to Sales Order would be to use the Function module READ_TEXT and put this FM in SE37 and execute with the following parameter.
    Client
    Text ID of text to be read
    Language of text to be read
    Name of text to be read
    Object of text to be read
    Archive handle
    Text catalog local
    When you are essentially looking to read item level Text with respect to Sales Order then your Text OBject would be VBBP.
