Same object ID-Multiple record

Hi,
We have an issue related to object id , we have 3 records for same one object id in the table hrp100 all the are active and not delimited i.e 3 objects created with the same id with out delimitation.
As per the standard behavior we should not get the same , if i check it in Object maintainance only one entry i am able to see, any thoughts please share.

Sorry,Yes, your right i did not check the second line. Now i need to delimit the object created in planned status.
I am trying some reports and checking the tools under easy access to deliimit the object . Could you please let me know is there any report to delimit the object created in planned status with out deleting the object in active status.

Accessing the same object from multiple classes.

For the life of me I can't workout how I can access things from classes that haven't created them.
I don't want to have to use "new" multiple times in seperate classes as that would erase manipulated values.
I want to be able to access and manipulate an array of objects from multiple classes without resetting the array object values. How do I create a new object then be able to use it from all classes rather than re-creating it?
Also I need my GUI to recognize the changes my buttons are making to data and reload itself so they show up.

As long as you have a headquarters it shouldn't be to painfull. You simply keep a refrence to your ShipDataBase and Arsenal and all your irrellevant stuff in Headquarters. So the start of your Headquarters class would look something like:

    .Then in your ShipDatabase you should, as good programing goes, keep the arraylist as a private class variable, and then make simple public methods to access it. Methods like getShipList(), addToShipList(Ship ship)....
So when you want to add a ship from arsenal you write:
hq.db.addToShipList(ship);
.Or you could of course use a more direct refrence:
ShipDatabase db = hq.db;
or even
ShipList = hq.db.getShipList();
but this requires that the shiplist in the DB is kept public....

Well LVOOP tries to be this...
And the Actor Framework tries to be this... Using some of LabVIEW's object oriented components.
You can have LVOOP without Actor Framework, but you can't have the Actor Framework without LVOOP. You can however have other actor based designs without LVOOP but honestly few go this route because classes help force the developer to work inside the constructs of the design.
Also quit yelling so much. And before you try taking on LabVIEW's object oriented designs (and Actor for crying out loud) I'd suggest taking some beginner training which can be found at the bottom of this page.

How do I use multiple classes to access the same object?

This should be staightforward. I have and object and I have multiple GUIs which operate on the same object. Do all the classes creating the GUIs need to be inner classes of the data class? I hope this question makes sense.

The same Object Version Number for the same person id multiple times

I am currently facing an issue with HRMS tables and the object version number for employees. I am trying to write a report but due to the same object version number for the same person appearing in several row i am getting duplicate information. For example,
person id 91 object version number 32 is on 4 rows and i have no idea why...help please guys, I'm at a lost so far 50 people are facing the same issue.

The person table is date-tracked, so the PK has effective start and end dates as well.
Get the correct record with sysdate(or any particular date) and then check the OVN.

Multiple Transports for the Same Object.

I have ABAP program 123 and I make a change, create transport A and release the transport. I do not request transport A go to production.
I then modify ABAP program 123 again, create transport B and release the transport. I do not request transport B go to production.
Now I request transport A go to production.
Can someone explain to me why the changes in transport B are included when transport A is moved to production?
I thought each transport would be at its own change level.

I can guarantee all of you that when Transport A was moved, it contained changes that were made in Transport B.
Surely you understand that Thomas is correct and that there's a logical reason, not related to transport layer configuration, for the issue? You CAN have multiple transports open for the same object without a lock by forcing it but check the dates as already suggested...

Its not possible for the same development object. Only 1 person can access an object at a time and if mutiple users modify an object new TASKs are created under the same TRANSPORT.
Only after releasing the tr you can create a new tr on the same object.

How can I call multiple records(40) at same time as webservice ?

My scenario is some thing like calling SOAP(Webservice) to Rfc(BAPI)
Thing is how can i call multiple records at the same time using the SOAP
adapter i.e i need to make a request to BAPI and in the BAPI response
based on the fields, i need to send to different records....it is Sync call
Can any explain me how to implement this scenario ?

Finalize() method being called multiple times for same object?

I got a dilly of a pickle here.
Looks like according to the Tomcat output log file that the finalize method of class User is being called MANY more times than is being constructed.

Every time a User object is created, a static counter variable is incremented and then when an object is destroyed it appends the current value of that static member to the Tomcat log file (via System.out.println being executed on server side).

It really does seem to me like finalize is being called multiple times for the same object.
That number should incremement for every instantiated User, and finalize can only be called once for each User object.
I thought this was impossible?

I am already thinking of ideas to limit the number of threads.
Unfortunately there are two threads of execution in the servlet handler, one handles requests and the other parses the collection of User objects to check for out of date timestamps, and then eliminates them if they are out of date.
The collection parsing thread is currently a javax.swing.Timer thread (Bad design I know...) so I believe that I can routinely check for timestamps in another way and fix that problem.
Just found out too that Tomcat was throwing me a ConcurrentModificationException as well, which may help explain the slew of mysterious behavior from my servlet!
The Timer thread has to go. I got to think of a better way to routinely weed out User objects from the collection.
Or perhaps, maybe I can attempt to make it thread safe???
Eg. make my User collection volatile?
Any opinions on the best approach are well appreciated.

File Adapter - Multiple Record Types to same Target

I am currently reading in a fixed length file and loading into a table.
The issue is, some of the lines in my file differ by two spaces at the end. See example below.
For example,
Record 1 might look like :
DD/MM/YY - length of 8
Record 2 might look like:
DD/MM/YY{space}{space} - length of 10
and they both go into the same date column of my target
Question 1) Is there a way for BPEL to skip the two spaces at the end of each line for Record 2
Queston 2) I have currently created multiple record types for the two types but it won't allow me in my transformation to map them both to the "date" column in the target table. It says multiple nodes cannot be mapped to the target

Unfortunately the IKM SQLDR doesn't have the "when" condition to be wrote at ctl file.
If you wish a simple solution, just add an option (drop me a email if you want a LKM with this)
The point is:
With a single option, you will control the when ctl clause and, for instance, can define:
1) create 2 datastores (1 for each file)
2) the first position will be a column at each datastore
3) write the when condition to this first column at the LKM in the interface.

Display multiple records as sub-sections in the same report.

I am using Crystal Reports (VS-2005).
In a report, I have various sub-sections in the Details section. Each section represents a category and is connected with SQL command which uses LEFT OUTER JOIN.
The first section is the main section and the subsequent sections are the child sections.
Sometimes, a sub-section (other than the first main sub-section) picks multiple records of that category. In this case the report extends to multiple pages. Each report displays one record of this sub-section.
I want to show the the same sub-section multiple times in the same report as opposed to multiple reports that are now automatically generated by Crystal Reports.
How to handle this issue?

Just mentioning "sections" doesn't give us a good idea about what you are attempting to do.

ME01 LSMW multiple record for same material issue.

Hi Experts,
I have an issue with multiple record for the same material and plant when I upload the data from the file. Lets I have the records.
Material        Plant              Start date      Enddate        Vendor          Porg.
1     0010     20060101     99991231     2     0010
1     0010     20060101     99991231     3     0010
When I upload the above data there are 2 IDOCs created when I am using the method LSMW-IDOC method, but only last record is getting updated and the first one is not getting updated in ME01 souce list. But I am getting the success message for both IDOC in LSMW. So I am not sure how to fix this why only last record is updated and not other records??

why do you have 2 idocs?
wouldn't be 1 idoc with 2 items be more logical?
1 record in structure E1EORDH
and 2 records in structure E1EORDM
I believe your 2 IDOCs get posted, but I think your 2nd Idoc overwrites the values entered from the first IDOC.

Multiple records in Header Iface with same orig_sys_document_ref

Hi,
I am creating an Internal Requisitions for multiple Destinations (Ship To Orgs). Requisition is getting approved and after running Create Internal Order program, orders are populating in OE_HEADERS_IFACE_ALL and OE_LINES_IFACE_ALL.
But the problem is: If I have Requisition created for multiple Ship To Orgs (Different Destination org for different line), then Header is populating multiple records with same ORIG_SYS_DOCUMENT_REF.
Don't you think there should be only one header record and multiple line record with various ship to orgs? Because of this, when I run order import, first record gets imported successfully but other records fails.

When I was at a client on 11.5.10, I ended up creating a personalization on the Requisitions screen.
If someone created a requisition with 2 ship to orgs, it raised an error.
It was not full proof but it was deemed satisfactory by the client.
You can consider personalization or you can modify the requisition approval workflow to include the check for multiple ship-to condition.

SCD issue when multiple records in the source dataset have same natural key

When I load a dataset into a slowly changing dimension, sometimes the dataset contains multiple records for the same natural key. The rows are different by the column last_update_date (among other possible differences).
The behavior I want is this: if during an ODI job run, the source dataset contains multiple records for one natural key, all records will load into the dimension, but only the record with the greatest last_update_date gets marked as the current record in the dimension. Right now, ODI is marking all of the incoming rows for the natural key as current. Any ideas? Thanks!

Last_update_date is on the source but is not being sent to the target. Thus, it doesn't have an SCD behavior. I think my solution will be to pre-process the incoming records so I don't attempt to load multiple rows per natural key. I was just hoping someone here knew of an easier solution.
If it helps, except for the SK, NK, Current Flag, and Effective Date fields, all SCD behaviors are "add row on change".

Mapping Multiple records from Db Adapter to the project data objects

If the database adapter do a query to the database and return multiple records, how can I map those records to the data object? And If I want to iterate the records and each record to invoke a sub-process, what can I do?
