Same updates every day

Iam seeing the same updates from CC everyday even after I update. Ideas?

So you are using Mac OS 10.9.1?   Do you face the same difficulties if you login under a newly created local administrator account?  You can find more details at Install or run Adobe applications in new user account | Mac OS X - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/install-or-run-applications-new.html.

  • Macbook slows down at the same time every day.

I know this makes me sound crazy, but my Macbook (running Mac OS X) starts to get inexplicably sluggish at the same time every day – roughly between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Applications start temporarily freezing up and I get that beachball-looking thing, and I have to force quit applications because they won't quit normally. I have McAffee virus protection through my school and a full scan reveals nothing. I also have the latest security updates.
The applications I run on a given day are pretty typical: Chrome, Acrobat, Dropbox, Twitter desktop and Word. I never download any unauthorized software or shady files. No idea what it could be, but it is not just in my head. Any educated guesses?

Is the McAffee anti virus set to scan automaticaly around 4:30 -5:00?
.....you might want to open Activity Monitor and check what apps are running and check their CPU usage.......sounds like something is running in the background.....

  • Ae and Id CC14 Tell me I have an update every day

I get a notification at the same time every day for Ae and Id both needing updates and it's been happening for about 3-4 weeks. I highly doubt Adobe is pushing updates every single day to these programs. Also, when I open disk utility the setup.dmg for Ae and Id are both lists as drives on my computer so I ejected them and It didn't do anything.
I'm running a MBP retina with mavericks. Does anyone have any solution or am I looking at a full uninstall and reinstall?
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi mcampbell22206,
Solution 1: Kindly check the update within the app.
    Launch AE.
    Go to Help menu.
    Click on Updates.
    Solution 2 :
    sign out creative cloud.
    Quit it, then relaunch.
Solution 3 :  re-install creative cloud desktop app.

  • Keyboard Firmware Update EVERY DAY???

How do I get software update to stop asking to update every day? I ran the update the first day it asked and now every single day the darned thing asks to update it again! AARGH!

Actually, that doesn't install anything. It just downloads the file, and as long as you don't run the file, it should still be there. The installer file will be in your Utilities folder (in applications) and have the name of firmware. follow the instructions so that the install goes correctly. Once you've done that, you've actually updated your firmware, and it will go away. This took me a while to figure out when it happened to me on a work's mac pro 3 years ago.

    a. Click on Start and click on Control panel.
    b. Go to Program and Features.
    c. Scroll down to "Microsoft.Net Framework 4 Client Profile", right click it.
    d. It will give you a choice of Uninstall/Change, click it.
    e. Then, it will give a choice to Repair it, pick Repair it.  It will take about 4-10 minutes to repair (with my PC) your experience may vary.
    f. When completed, go to Windows Update in Control panel and click "check for updates" on the left side, then try to install the 2 updates. again.

Its due to one of two reasons, you have mains supply spikes/blackouts or the power supply is faulty in the router. Because it's occurring at a regular timed intervals, I'd say it's more likely to be the former. You need to check whether something in the premises  is switching on at that time, examples would be electrical water heaters on timers, etc... And also confirm that the router mains cable is plugged firmly into the socket, as if it's loose it would make it more subseptable to such spikes/blackouts.

  • Mouse/keyboard freezing machine around same time every day

Using a silver tower G5 here and around the same time every day for the past week I've had to power down the machine. The mouse and keyboard just freeze. About a week ago we did put this on a KVM to switch between this and a G4 connected to a SCSI scanner. The KVM has only PS/2 ports so we're using the Belkin Y PS/2 to USB adapters. The problem seemed to have started a day or so after starting to use the KVM but I'm not sure if this is related to the freezing problem. Here's what's in the Console around the time of the freeze:

Too many adapters. For troubleshooting purposes can you go with a mouse and keyboard connected as directly as possible?
Do you know what Adobe LM is? That seems to be buggering things up a little.
If you still have the errors after trying it with as few adapters as possible, try repairing your startup disk.

  • Losing Wifi same time every day.

Hi, I lose my wifi at the same time every day. Vodafone tell me there is nothing wrong and nobody else is using my wifi. They have told me to use a cable which for me defeats the object of wifi, even though it does actually work when I connect with a cable. I also have to run a cable from my router to my apple tv, so I'm kind of getting a bit frustrated with cables running all over my living room. Anyone got any ideas as to what might be wrong? Thanks, Andy.

    Have a look here.. http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/52465/?s_cid=con_FURL_help/hub5update
I assume this is supposed to fix the fault. Or perhaps another problem we arent aware of.
At the moment my hub has continued to behave itself and has stayed connected for over 4 days 8 hours.

  • Very slow at same time every day

Normally, my Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5300 works just fine, but at 8:00 every night the whole computer (not just the internet) gets very, very slow. Obviously, there's something that is scheduled to download updates every day at that time. I have Windows and all my non-Toshiba programs set to check for, download, and install updates only manually, so the program that is screwing everything up must be one of the bloatware programs installed by Toshiba. The problem is, I don't know which one or if and how to change the schedule. I have tried going to Task Manager when this happens, but once I finally get it to open, I can only get a quick glimpse of the list of running programs getting shorter by one item. Any suggestions?

If everything slows down, it's more likely a program is scheduled to run. Windows and Toshiba have lots of programs like that in Task Scheduler (taskschd.msc),
When things are slow, open Task Manager (taskmgr.exe - press Ctrl+Shift+Esc). On the Processes tab, click the CPU column title to sort high usage to the top. Tell us which process is hogging things.

  • FF Nightly 34.0a1 keeps updating every day to the same version?!

Ive noticed a few things this last week..
    1. first, FF Nightly (the 64bit version) has updated itself to the same version number every day for the last week..
    2. Video play using FF is terrible.
    3. nightly looses my privacy settings..
    4. Some websites say the browser has cookies turned off when they are turned on.
    5. Can't even access some websites due to their spam content, I.e. They trying to force me to watch an advert, befor moving on to the item I clicked on.
    6. Some pages only load partially.
    7. Facebook and farmville loading dead slow. I could send the info faster with morse code and a straight key.
    any ideas?

This is about Firefox Nightly builds adding support for new security features.
A lot of web servers haven't implemented these yet and thus aren't working properly.
That is the risk that you run with using alpha development builds as those versions are meant for testers to check for issues with such new features.
You should stay with the current release version (Fx 32 has been released) if you aren't experienced enough to handle possible issues.

  • Disconnecting roughly at the same time every day.

    Hi
I hope I have posted this in the right forum.
I have a homehub 5 and I am currently on BT Infinity 2.
Every day between 17:00-17:20 my router disconnects and reboots itself. I've noticed in the Boot section of the Hub's Event Log the words "Watchdog Reset". Is there a problem with my router?
The disconnects happen whether I'm using the internet or not.

Last week I noticed that my router was disconnecting every night at around 9:00pm.
Since last weekend it has changed its routine and now disconnects at around 11:00pm. I have also had the watchdog reset message in the log but only once.

Also, do you see any of the CWMP messages like the one in my log, happening at around the same time?
I suspect that these CWMP are somehow triggering the disconnections, and it has something to do with the last firmware update that happened mid-January.
Someone suggested that I should perform a factory reset of the hub.
I'm a little reluctant to do so as this turns the openwifi service back on as default, and in the past I have had problems restoring my backed up settings. as the saved config file was corrupted.
I am considering giving the factory reset a go when I have some time at the weekend.
You may want to give it a go also.
Yes, it seems I have the CWMP messages as well.
I have just done a factory reset on my home hub 5 and will keep an eye on it over the next few days.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • My apps keep asking to update every day.

I've been doing this for about a week and it's getting old, and I know there is something wrong. Every day I wake up, go to my computer, and all of my creative cloud apps need updating. I do it, and sure thing, the next morning same thing...
I've removed the creative cloud desktop app and reinstalled, and it still happens.
    Anyone?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Software updating every day

The software updates each morning at 5:15 a.m. when I turn on the TV.  It does not update in the evening when I turn the TV back on.  It has just started doing this the past week.  Why?

    Same problem here.
My DVR is Moto QIP-7216 located in MD.
Started when Verizon pushed out their new software version 1.9.1. around Dec. 5th.
They fixed the "slow channel changing/first time delay problem" and replaced it with:
"Software Updating, Please Wait" problem that shows up once a day, every morning.
For me it has been EVERY morning since the new version was released.
Set-top reboots do not fix issue.  I too have a hard time beleiving they have released new software every day
    for last 7 days.
Verizon moderators please take note and pass on to tech support.  This is not an isolated/one-user problem.
Note: If you add to this list please post your state and what model set top box to help Verizon narrow down the problem.

  • BBC1 Goes black at the same time every day

    Hello,
Im a big fan of detective shows and I like to watch Diagnosis Murder on BBC1 at 2:15pm every day but the problem is as soon as the show starts the screen goes completely black and even BBC2 goes black I can still hear sound in the background on both channels though.  The only way to get the picture back is for me to navigate to ITV1 and then back to BBC1 and the picture comes back perfectly fine.
The very odd thing is that this happens EVERY day at 2:15pm at the exact moment Diagnosis Murder starts.  Ive tried resetting my vision box and leaving it off for a few hours but it keeps doing it.
Could this be a problem with BBC or a glitch in the broadcast signal thats making my box go loopy at 2:15pm every day?
Anyone else had this?.  Try it this afternoon

I've noticed this too!! Thought I was going mad, exactly the same problem on the same show. WEIRD!! I've only found one solution, same as you, to switch to another channel and back again seems to solve it.
