I have dealt with the issue you mentioned as a bug with DcGroupRef. In fact, it is not a bug but a misinterpretation of the WS. Those fields you mentioned are a part of Test Plan measurement collection (MeasureGroup and MeasureName fields in particular). However, if you check the database, Test Plan measurement values are collected to a separate table which is not processed by WS at all, however, the WS pushes the data to the table used by DC500. And within this context, DcGroupRef is the must.
I have rectified such situation at one customer by manually adding the values to the incomplete records. They used to collect the data in such way as of ME 5.0 or even earlier by means of Prod XML.
Implementation of WS in 5.2 and 6.0 are completely different, especially taking into account switching to usage of PAPI.
So, it is not a bug but a feature not implemented yet.
And with that, I'm taking over the ticket.

Sample UIX XML requested for standard functionality

I am learning UIX XML.
Using scott's emp and dept tables, I have used the wizards to generate a UIX XML application using BC4J.
I would like to enhance the generated UIX XML.
For example...
1. The UIX XML pages that allow inserts/updates to the EMP view object. I would like to have a LOV on the dept_no field so user can use this. Typically any foreign key field to have a LOV with a lookup on the master table.
2. Also I am having some difficulty with radio groups, list items etc that are based on hardcoded values or data in the database. Have you any complete example code. The on-line documentation shows examples but not the whole code working together. Have you got a complete sample app that shows these features?
3. Have you any UIX XML examples that use FORMS containing text input items, lists, radio groups etc that ARE NOT based on BC4J...then have the event logic access BC4J and do the inserts/updates.

Like you I have been learing using the scott schema.
I too have struggled with this LOV issue in UIX-XML and UIX-JSP and BC4J-JSP. UIX-JSP can allow for a drop down list based upon custom properties in the VO and a "custom" Java class. The HOW-TO Page has an excellent example that when followed (with some tweaks to get what I wanted) the drop down list worked. I know it's not an LOV (like in Forms) but for small FK lookups drop down lists seem to be the requests of most users. But these drop down lists will not happen in UIX-XML or BC4J-JSP. Seems aierd to me but hey, I'm just learning too.
My point is that I too have asked question after question on this forum about UIX-XML or about implementing fearures of UIX-XML in other frameworks (like coulmn sorting) and have gotten zero helpful repsonses. There were some comments about how 9.0.3 would soleve some of these issues, but no one seems to be able to explain a way to show a "broken" example so that I will be elated when 9.0.3 comes out and works.

Multiple parametric Data Collection using createMultipleParametricData API

Dear Experts,
For the first time we are using the SAP ME PAPI functionality in SAP MII. As per the requirement we need to do the data collection against a SFC from SAP MII Transaction. We are successfully able to do the data collection for single parametric Measure using the SAP ME PAPI createParametricData. But now we need to do the data collection for multiple parametric measures in one call and for that we can see that the createMultipleParametricData API is available. The sample xml file from which we are getting the data for three parametric measures Temprature, Pressure and Volume is pasted below.

This is the input source from which we need to extract tag names and values under node-Row and then do Data Collection against an SFC with the help of Public API createMultipleParametricData.
But we are not able to assign multiple parameters as request parameters to this API.
Can anybody help us with what input format is required to assign multiple parameters to this API or to assign multiple parameters at a time?
It would be great if you can paste the request xml stucture also.

If your input stream is coming into a 1D array, you might try using the
Decimate 1D array function in the array control group.
Pull down the control until it matches the 8 data sets... (or 9 if there is a framing character of some sort in the data stream)...then each set should come out a separate output of hte block.
You probably need to be careful that the serial stream always appears in the same order for this to work right.

Data change after call xml transformation for RAW data type

Hi,
Can someone explain what is workarround or any help for below problem
when call transformation is called for usr02 records, after xml string is generated is showing different data for RAW data type for example content of fields BCODE,PASSCODE etc get convert into different data
for example: content of BCODE fields before xml transformation say -7F8087472FB996E5
after xml transformation it display as f4CHRy+5luU=
why is this so happening? is this known behaviour after xml transformation or it is bug in xml transformation?

I think this is because RAW data is BASE64 encoded when using CALL TRANSFORMATION.

Hi Anand,
There are 2 ways for transporting LSMW data from a system to another.
1) Export/import this method gives you the opportunity to select the subprojects or objects you want to transfer. Hence you don't transfer the object a colleague might have created and that should stay in development system. LSMW -> Extras -> Export project
2)Transport request with this method, you can transport a LSMW project in full (you cannot select the objects you want). With this method, the project will be transported as any other SAP object in a transport order.
LSMW -> Extras -> Create change request

Sample XML/XCBL for marketsite

Hello!
Can anyone copy and paste a sample Orders XML/XCBL that is sent from XI (Marketplace) adapter and successfully processed in the destination?
Currently, the output sent by XI does not seem to want to get successfully processed in the marketsite. I have a hunch that there might be something wrong with the output, but I'm not so sure what that might be.
Below is the beginning of the XML XI sends right now:

Delete DTP OL request for Master data

i have a data source which only allows ful infopackages, once loaded in the PSA use dtp to load in fullload in the master data attributes .... a request shows up green.
now i need to delete the previous request from PSA9 not a problem)
the 2nd run happens psa is reloaded again dtp loads the request but now i got double records in the attributes.
q1, how do i delete over lapping request using process chains, i can delete them manually but i am lazy i rather have a process chain do it for me at 3:0 am in the morning.
2nd ) does it matter to have 2 or 20 same data requests in the master data texts or attributes, instead of table space does it effect roducitivity?

Run IP .....req1.....8 reocrds
Run Full DTP....... 8 records
Run IP.......REQ2......10records
Run Full DTP.......... 8+10 records = 18 (since it's full it extarcts all the requests from PSA)
If you load 10 times using delt/full dtp obviously you will have 10 requests in attribues/texts of md
but it will add only new / changed record to the MD tables ..
load 10 times you will see requests - goto SE16 - /BIC/PMDNAME - execute - will show only unique entries

XML Solutions for Large Data Sets

Hi,
I'm working with a large data set (9 million records comprising 36 gigabytes) and am exploring the use of XML with it.
I've experimented with a JDBC app (taken straight from Steve Muench's excellent Oracle_XML_Applications) for writing to CLOBS, but achieve throughputs of much less than 40k/s (the minimum speed required to process the data in < 10 days).
What kind of throughputs are possible loading XML records from CLOBs into multiple tables (using server-side Java apps)?
Could anyone comment whether XML is a feasible possibility for this size data set?

What is the right iTouch for ABA data collection, filming, behavior apps, etc?

I am a behavior specialist in a public school and currently I am looking to write a grant for some iTouches to take ABA data, film students for video modeling, and apps such as behavior Tracker and things of that nature. I am not sure what the best iTouch is for my situation (I am trying to be economical, but get what I need.) Plus I have to write an itemized list of expenditures for the iTunes. Any help, esp. from people who use iTouches for th is reason) would be greatly appreciated.

There is only one model of iPod touch currently offered. The only difference is storage capacity, and if you plan to be taking videos of students, having more capacity would be beneficial; get as much as you can. I'd ask at least for 32GB versions in the grant.

How to Delete Requests for Master Data Target

In BW 7.0 (SP24) I'm struggling with a time dependent master data process chain load using BI 7 load methods (Transformation / DTP). The unique aspect of this is that we are required to start the process chain with an ABAP that deletes the master data. (RSDMDD_DELETE_BATCH). So a "Full" load is necessary. And we have to remove the previous PSA and Requests so that the DTP won't attempt to load (and ignore) the previous PSA.
While deleting the previous PSA request is a straightforward operation in a process chain, there does not appear to be a function allowing us to delete the requests from a Master Data object. (info cube and OSD/DSO only).
Does anyone know of an existing ABAP or Function Module that we can use to delete the existing requests from our object before we run our load processes ?

Try the FM "RSDMD_DEL_MASTER_DATA".
But before deleting the master data you have to make sure that this master data is not used anywhere i.e, delete all the transactional data first.
U can also try RSDMD_DEL_PARALLELIZER

I'm trying to plug weather related data in my application.I got some weather tools from weather.com. As per the instructions there, I copy the partner id and licence key and code into my app. Being a novice in RSS feeds/ xml feeds, I've hard times to get this work.

R12 Check Printing Need XML output for seeded data definition--urgent

Hi--
I really need to get ahold of the XML output from the checks running off the data definition called "Oracle Payments Funds Disbursement Payment Instruction Extract 1.0" in Oracle R12 quickly--particulary the XML tag that holds the MICR string (should be the concatenation of Check Number, Routing and Acct number).
I found an entry here in the forums about running a query of:
SELECT XMLType.getClobVal(instruction)
FROM IBY_XML_FD_INS_1_0_V
WHERE rownum =1 ;
to get the entire XML output. I have an open SR but haven't really gotten anywhere with it yet.
However, all we get back is an error about datatype. Could someone please help out with this--it is quite urgent as I need to finish this last piece of the checks and work with the bank on formatting this week.

My proposal is to leave old SAP connectors staff and use SAP Exchange Infrastructure. There is a support of industry XML standards in XI 3.0 like xCBL.
