Samples play over one another

I've got some audio samples loaded in EXS24--dialogue from movies to be specific. Previously, I had it set up so that I could trigger sample A via my midi keyboard and even if, for example, that sample was 10 seconds long, if I immediately hit another key to trigger sample B, it would stop sample A and play sample B.
However, now something's changed and I don't know what. If I trigger sample A, and then trigger sample B, sample A continues to play the full 10 seconds while sample B plays and they play on top of one another.
How can I set it so that each time I trigger a sample, it stops the previously playing one and plays the one just triggered? I feel like an idiot--I had it set up that way before, but now I can't figure out how I did it, or what's changed!
I'm using Logic Express 9.

And I did try the mono setting, but when I trigger a sample, it doesn't play the full sample unless I hold the midi key down. Previously I just hit the key once and it would play the entire sample. I also have 1Shot checked for each of my samples in the editor as well.

When I try typing in key word in the search field, the letters seem to hang or are slow in displaying, causing the letters to skip over one another.

When I'm typing in the key words in the search field, there is a delay between my key stroke and the appearance of the letter in the search field. If I type at a normal speed, usually one or two letters are skipped and have to back track or start over. My key words will appear correctly if I wait for a letter to appear before I enter the next key stroke.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Can we stack dashboard pages over one another

Hi All,
I am in OBIEE 11g v6.
Is there any way of stacking the pages on the dashboard if the no of pages are large. So for ex, I have 10 dashboard pages, the way it would be shown on the dashboard is
Page1|Page2|Page3|Page4|Page5|Page6|Page7|Page8|Page9|Page10
What I want is, like this,
Page1|Page2|Page3|Page4|Page5
Page6|Page7|Page8|Page9|Page10
so basically can I stack the page names in two rows? This is because when the no of page are large and can't fit in one screen, OBIEE 11g shows <<, >> at the end and then you would have to click on the >> to see the rest of the pages in the drop down. Can we avoid that?

If you notice, whenever the no of pages for a dashbaord are large. Let's say 15.

Help - sound stream from one clip playing over stream from another.

I have a layout with narration and a nav bar. When I click a nav button for section 2, the audio from section 1 (set to stream) continues to play over the audio for section 2. This cumulates so if I click buttons for sections 3, 4 and 5, I get five audio files playing on top of each other. Please HELP! Sections are individual movie clips with embedded audio streaming on a Sounds layer in each movie clip.

Thanks, yeah, I'm not great on Actionscript, but I can work my way through it (AS3). Currently the sounds are just in a sound layer on the timeline and aren't controlled by actionscript. So if I put SoundMixer.stopAll(); in the first frame of each section, I need sound play() to start the new audio? Each section has several narrations that are timed to the animations on the timeline, so rather thatn having the sound in the timeline, I need to trigger them with the actions script? How would I code this - say my sound file is named sound22.aif would this be correct?

No such thing has occurred. iPhones do not backup to one another.
It is not possible to backup a different iPhone from the one being updated.
If the iPhone was restored with a backup from a different device, restore it again from the correct backup.

You haven't mentioned which mail it is,
If it is G-mail go to settings --> general tab--> default text style , you can change your font size & then save at the bottom of the page

If you uncheck all of the songs, they will only play if explicitly commanded. Command-click in a checkbox and they will all be unchecked. Command-clicking again will check the all again should you want to do that.

Backhaul WDS over one radio, serve clients over another?

I'd like to cover a large property with a few Airport Extreme's using WDS to interconnect them. I'm wondering if it is possible to force the backhaul of the WDS connection over the 5 ghz radio, and then serve clients ONLY over the 2.4 ghz radio?
Is this even a good idea? My thoughts were that this would allow maximum bandwidth to my end users, as the WDS would be run on an entirely separate radio.

Just to elaborate a bit more...
There is really no "intelligence" built into the Base Stations that forces them to cooperate with one another in a multiple access point network. In that respect they are rather dumb - all they do is act as a wireless access points oblivious to all other Base Stations around them. There is no "handing off" per se of a connection from one Base Station to another as a client roams through their range.
As for the clients - how they function in the presence of multiple access points is also not terribly sophisticated. They simply "latch on" to an access point with a reasonably strong signal - and if the client computer can "see" several access points, it might not always necessary be the access point that is closest or the one that is marginally stronger than all others that the client computer decides to establish a connection to. The client will only drop the connection to one Base Station and "latch on" to another when the difference in signal strength becomes very significant.

DVD Plays on one iMac/Not another

I've got 2 iMacs running 10.5.6.
I've created a DVD on a Sony RDR-VXD655 digital DVD/VHS recorder/player.
DVDs created on the Sony will play on one iMac and not the other. On the one it won't play on the recorded DVD shows up as a blank DVD. The problem iMac plays commercial DVDs just fine.
I've tried to see what video utilities I have on the iMac that works and transfer them to the one that doesn't, but no luck. The only thing I haven't installed is Final Cut Express.
Any suggestions?

Contrary to popular belief, burning at the highest speed(s) are not recommended.
Burn at the slowest speeds that the discs can use.
When I would burn video dvd's. The newer drives had no problems, but the older drives wold complian, and spit out the discs.
I burn at the slowest speeds, now all of my dvd players are happier.

IPhone plays only one song at a time

After 2 weeks of the iPod feature of my iPhone working just perfectly, last night I discovered it will no longer go through a play list. No matter what I do, it plays only one song, repeatedly - either a song I choose or a song selected randomly by hitting Shuffle. Shuffle only chooses the first song randomly, after which that song plays over and over unless I manually choose another. I deleted my playlists this morning, rebooted iTunes, re-synced my playlists to the iPhone, same problem. Other than having to go through an entire Restore, are there any other options? This actually occurred out of the blue, NOT after a re-sync with the computer, therefore NOT caused by the iTunes update to 7.3.1.

THANK YOU!!! I never would have found that myself because I don't even look at albums let alone play whole albums. My playlists are favorite songs from here and there and rarely more than one or two from any particular album. I don't know how that got changed since I have never looked at an album before, didn't know there were time and shuffle markers. I must have gone bump in the dark... so thank you again!

Music plays over phone call

I've had my revolution for a few days now and have run into an issue recently. Starting this evening whenever I get a call and answer it, music starts playing over the call. I deleted the track that was misbehaving and now another track plays in the deleted ones abcence. Help

When you mention that music plays over the call, I just want to be clear and ask if you mean music you have downloaded to the phone (songs), or do you mean the ringtone that played when the phone rings?
I have checked my resources and I also wanted to ask if you are using headphones when this happens? Does it happen on every call?
If you are using headphones when this happens, you are able to search the market for a headset blocker. If this is the issue you are having, the download will disable the music from playing when on a call.

Can you play podcasts one at a time on 6th gen iPod Nano?

I've seen this question asked a few times, but I wanted to throw in my two cents.
My 4th gen Classic and my 1st gen Nano both would allow me to play one podcast episode at a time. This was useful if I had several episodes of one podcast and fell asleep listening to one, the iPod wouldn't continue playing the other episodes, it would just stop playing at the end of the episode I was listening to.
The 6th gen Nano I just got will automatically play the next podcast episode when the one you are listening to is finished. I perfer the old behavior of my 1st gen Nano. Is there any way to change the behavior of the 6th gen without using smart playlists or the sleep timer (I think those are kind of clunky work arounds)?
If not, then I would like to make a feature request. The button on the left of the podcast play screen that toggles between "play one after another then stop", "play same episode over and over", and "play all episodes over and over" should have one more setting: "play this episode and then stop".
It sounds like a pretty easy feature to add. What does everyone else think? Do you want this too?

I looked for this feature when I changed from my now-dead Classic 160 to 6th generation Nano, but I never got a good answer. Personally, I'd rather have a setting to allow this, rather than using the sleep/wake button, because I use that for play/pause. In the old Classic, you would choose to shuffle albums if you wanted continuous play from one track to the next, and you would turn shuffle off to stop at the end of a podcast (or maybe it was the other way around—I can't remember off hand). That's not as clear as a "continue or stop" control (which would be great), but at least it worked. I don't know if that's something they can add with a software update, but it would make for a better user experience.

HT204266 If I have a play list of various artists and on this list I have two tracks from the same album how can I combine those two tracks to play as one if I am using the shuffle feature?

To begin with you can't manage FLAC in iTunes. The use of iTunes is at this moment limited to WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless, AAC and MP3. But that's not a problem because if I understand you correctly you want to organize the MP3-files in iTunes.
When you import music files you can let iTunes copy all files and put it in an iTunes-media-Folder. You can make the choice in preferences-->tab advanced.

All files will be put in one music folder well ordered by artist and albums. If you want to make a backup of all your music you just have to copy the iTunes folder to another disk. You can backup all music at once. How much space they will use depends on the bitrate of the MP3 and whether you add more tagging to it. You can have iTunes add album artwork. That means adding gif or jpg files to your library. Are you using bitrate 320 for your MP3?
If you tell me I can give you estimates on the disk-space you will need.
