[SAP B1] Read from Matrix
I'm trying to read from a Matrix.
The code that I have until now is:
SAPbouiCOM.Matrix matrix = (SAPbouiCOM.Matrix SBO_Application.Forms.ActiveForm.Items.Item("38").Specific;
SAPbouiCOM.Column col = matrix.Columns.Item("1") ;
SAPbouiCOM.Cells cells = col.Cells;
String cell = cells.Item(2).Specific.ToString();
String f = cell.ToString();
None of the Strings (cell and f) give me the value of the cell...
I only needed a solution , don't really need the most performanced
Any Idea?
Edited by: mribeiro on May 10, 2010 7:41 PM
Try this
oItem = oForm.Items.Item("DCon")
oMatrix = oItem.Specific
oColumns = oMatrix.Columns
colItemPriceList = oColumns.Item("COLID11")
colItemPrice = oColumns.Item("COLID2")
dim a, b as string
For j As Integer = 1 To oMatrix.VisualRowCount
a = oMatrix.Columns.Item("COLID1").Cells.Item(j).Specific.Value
b = oMatrix.Columns.Item("COLID2").Cells.Item(j).Specific.Value

Upload/Read Documents from SAP-CRM to/from SharePoint
Hello ,
We have a requirement to upload documents from SAP CRM to share point(select the document from the desktop and pass the data to sharepoint server) , the user should also be able to view the documents located in Sharepoint.
There are web methods in SharePoint already developed which will allow the uploading of the documents and passing the location of the stored documents as URL back to CRM.
Could any one please help me in the follwoing
1. Configurations to do on SAP side for Calling the methods developed in Sharepoint.
2. Configuration to pass the document from SAP CRM(Uploaded from desktop) to sharepoint.
Thanks in advanceHi Ravi,
We also have a similar requirement in which we need to read the document stored in an external server from SAP CRM. Can you please let me know know how you achieved this. I will know the exact path (URL) of the document. Using this is it possible to retrieve the content of the document.

VBA automation to read from SAP
Hi,
Does anyone know how to read from an SAP screen using VBA code? I am NOT referring to reading from a table like VBAK, MARA etc.
The requirement is to enter a transaction code lets say VA03/VA43, enter a document/order number and read the contents of the screen using the screen field name like VBELN, KUNNR etc.
RegardsUsing vbs:
If Not IsObject(application) Then
Set SapGuiAuto = GetObject("SAPGUI")
Set application = SapGuiAuto.GetScriptingEngine
End If
If Not IsObject(connection) Then
Set connection = application.Children(0)
End If
If Not IsObject(session) Then
Set session = connection.Children(0)
End If
If IsObject(WScript) Then
WScript.ConnectObject session, "on"
WScript.ConnectObject application, "on"
End If
session.findById("wnd[0]").maximize
session.findById("wnd[0]/tbar[0]/okcd").text = "VA03"
session.findById("wnd[0]/tbar[0]/btn[0]").press
session.findById("wnd[0]/usr/ctxtSOMEFIELDNAME").text = some_variable_you_can_store_later
etc, etc
I am not familiar with tath screen so you might need more code in wnd[0]/usr/ctxtSOMEFIELDNAME if there are multiple tabs.
It will be a lot easier to make SAP record the script: ALT+F12 -> "Script Recording and Playback", etc then go to the file which is saved in your local SAP directory and see what SAP did.
Hope this helps -

SAP DB Connection from SAP BI on HP UNIX to MS SQL External Database
Dear All,
Greetings!
I have a scenario to configure a SAP DB Connection from SAP BI System on HP UNIX 11i to the external legacy system MS SQL 2000 Enterprise for data upload. I am interested in connecting the SQL server as a Source System to the BI System.
I read through documents mentioning about installation of a Client driver in the SAP BI System, I also downloaded the JDBC client software and tried installing the same, but the steps as mentioned Setting the CLASSPATH or connecting to the server did not work.
Please help me in connecting the SQL Server as Source System, I would like to know in detail about the same - so kindly help me with the links to documents and guides about the same.
Thank you
Regards,
Vineeth DamodarShort answer: this does not work.
Long answer: To connect directly to the database you need
- a database client for the source system
- a database interface library for the source system
Both of them are not available for HP-UX if the target database is SQL server --> doesn't work.
What you can do is: add a Windows application server to your BI system (heterogeneous installations work and are supported) and add there the database client and the database interface library.

you were right, you may not specify the extension of a file.
Another thing i detected is that the loop of my data start with the index 1 instead of 0 !!!
In this scenario, i have to read all the lines of the file and each time i should do a SQL-query,
so that i can use the result to build my sales document.
Do you know if it this is possible or have you any idea how to do this ?
thx,

Dialog Instance writing and reading from wrong global directory
Hi,
I have just completed a HA installation of ECC 6 on a Windows 2008 cluster. On node B we have the CI installed and on node A we have an additional DI installed. The installation drive for these local instances is the I drive in both cases. The ASCS instance is installed on the clustered N drive.
For some reason when a job runs on the Dialog Instance installed on node A it writes it log file to the I:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\100JOBLG directory rather that to the
<sap cluster hostname>\sapmnt\<SID>\SYS\global\100JOBLG directory (which would equate to N:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\100JOBLG). Similarly when I try a read a job log from the DI on node A it tries to read from I:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\100JOBLG and when it can find the log it gives an error.
If anybody has any ideas as to how I can reconfigure the instance to read and write to the correct directory that would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Greg.Have you set a different SAPGLOBALHOST or DIR_GLOBAL in your instance profile?
Kind regards,
Mark -
Message failing in SXMB_moni----Error while reading from the secure store
Hi,
The scenario is as below
A file is picked up from a folder and processed to enrich it.This enriched file is then written back in a different folder.
The message is failing in sxmb_moni while trying to write the file in the folder.
The PI system is a system copy of another system and few of the configuration objects are transported through a tpz file to this PI system.The file receiver channel used to write this file is also transported through this tpz file.
Below is the error seen in moni.:

Re: URL for Central Adapter Engine
As you said there was a system copy it may be the case that some things were not configured properly -
Read from one file ... and write
I had written below code to read from a file
which has input in below format...
$ filla
% dillla
I wrote a code to read from the below file and I want to write into another file...
in another format...like
filla, $
dilla, %
I wrote as below... but my code doesn't work....i commented most of the code becoz I doubt ....
I read the file...line by line...
each line has two words one is special characters($ or %) and the other is some name... separated by space..
I stored both in different arrays...and thought to write them in output file...
import java.io.*;
public class data
public static void main(String args[])
int kMaxLines = 60000;
String[][] valuePairs = new String[2][kMaxLines];
String symbol [] = new String[kMaxLines];
String name [] = new String[kMaxLines];
int k = 0;
try
FileInputStream fstream = new FileInputStream("c:/inputs.txt");
DataInputStream datastream = new DataInputStream(fstream);
BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(datastream));
//FileWriter output = new FileWriter("c:/output.txt");
//BufferedWriter bw = new BufferedWriter(output);
String names;
String strLine;
int line = 0;
while ((strLine = br.readLine()) != null)
String temp_strs[] = strLine.split(" ");
for (int j = 0; j < 2; j++)
valuePairs[j][line] = temp_strs[j];
//System.out.println(temp_strs[0] + " " + temp_strs[1]);
symbol[k]= temp_strs[0];
name[k]=temp_strs[1];
line++;
k++;
for (k=0; k < kMaxLines; k ++)
System.out.println(symbol[k]+ "" + name[k]); // when I print it is giving null value...
} // so what I do to get those values into global array...
datastream.close();
// to write to file
//String names_str;
//bw.write("@relation train");
//for(k=0; k<kMaxLines; k++)
// names_str = names+""+name[k];
//bw.write("@attribute names" + " {"+names_str+"}");
//bw.write("@attribute class {+,-}");
//bw.write("@data"+"\n");
// for (k=0;k<kMaxLines; k++)
//bw.write("name[k]+","+symbol[k]");
catch (Exception e)
//file not found exception...
e.printStackTrace();
Why the multiple arrays?
I'd just read it into List<String[]>... an extensible collection of "the fields on each line"... then you just write them out as required.
second-field + comma + first-field.
I suggest your next move should be to take a backup copy of your current class then rip-all that commented-out code out of it, and reformat it properly... starting from a clean(er) slate... then try swapping over to a List<String[]> instead of that cumbersome String[][] matrix.
Try that... if you get stuckeroonied then don't be afraid to ask again.
Cheers. Keith. -
Remote SAP function call from a plsql procedure
Hi,
How i can call a remote SAP function from a plsql procedure?
Thnaks in advance:
BiancaI don't see any relation to Oracle Forms in this question. Is there any? If so, can you specify what you want to do, and the version numbers of Forms and databases involved?
And what does a call to a remote SAP procedure look like? Is it a DB procedure in an Oracle database? Then you can simply use a database link to the SAP database. -

Please advice what could be the possible cause.

This error most likely occurs when you use DB connection pool, which I think is the case in XI. When the JDBC adapter tries to connect to the database and discovers that the connection has been timed out/lost, then this exception is generated. Please have a look of the connection settings of your JDBC adapter and also at the note 831162.
