SAP Business Partner usage in SD

Need your help!! We want to utilize the SAP business partner
functionality that currently exists in CRM and ECC. We want to
utilze the concept of partner relationships and determine those
on a sales order. Can someone help me understand if this is
possible. we want to use BP transactions to create sold to and
ship tos , rather than VD01 transaction. Thank you so much for

You can very well do it in the following path.
SPRO-SD-BF-Partner Determination-Set up partner determination
1.First determine the partner determination at Customer master data level and then include the partner at the Customer you have created
2. Now create a partner determination procedure,at sales document header level.
3. When you create an order, these partners will be automatically  updated in the sales order.

    I'm working with BUPT and trying to place a check box in SAP Business Partner (Role: MKK).
    Actually the Check box is delivered from SAP standard (Function Group: FSBP_05 and screen 0201) and I'm trying to custom it under Partnerdaten "BUP310". I have gone through the standard customizing procedure. Still the Check box field is not visible on the screen.

    As we need to have Vendor mapped as Business Partner inTM, Kindly suggest how to handle the Vendor Master in ECC.
    Should we create Vendor as Business Partner in ECC so as to interface with TM. If so, then how can we use this vendors in ECC for creating PO and Invoice Verification, It means that can we extend the business partner to purchasing and accounting level?

    Hi Kiran,
    The TSP (Transport Service Provider ) /Vendor will be maintained in the Transaction code BP in ECC.
    This needs to be done, so that Service POs can be created in ECC, where the Vendor will be the TSP. I am using TM 8.0

    when I use the addresses from the BAS in the interactive forms, I have noticed that in the properties window on the buttom I can enter values for SAP Business Partners.
    What are these Business Partners? (just out of curiousity as I don't normally work with them)

    Hello All,
    There was a requirement from my client that they need to have a filed "Doing Business as " in BP category ORGANIZATION.
    I was not able to find the field in SAP BP. How can I really confirm if this field is delivered by SAP before I say we need to do ABAP level coding?
    My lead tells me it is available in CRM.  I am working in SAP INSURANCE solutions.

    I am creating Person to Organization relationship in SAP BP category is BUR010 (employee of). I get the error called
    'Maintenance is only possible via Organization Management'
    Can some one help me?? I have also put myself in PPOMW (created a new test org. structure and put myuser ID in there).

    Hello Naeem,
    I normally create this relationship in the organizational model (old transaction PPOMA_CRM and also somewhere in the WebUI). There you can assign persons to organizational units. You normally do this to group your sales reps.

    Hi,
    I am relatively new to SAP but has years of experience has a developer. I would like to develop competencies on SAP Business One 8.8 (or the latest version) to enable me deploy, consult and develop add ons for the platform.
    I would like to aquire a single developer's license that would enable me install the solution and the SDK on my laptop and also download the solutions.
    I do not have a SAP business Partner account or access to the market place. I am also interested in books on the subject but I only got a book on SAP Business One 2005 edition.
    I would appreciate any advise or assistance on this.

  • Problem in Creating a Business Partner Role

    Hi Frns,
    I am trying to create a BP Role from CAC->SAP Business Partner->Business Partner->Business partner Roles->Define BP Roles.
    I copied BUP003 and given my BP Role name as ZEmp.
    When i try to save it, it is giving an error message saying
    "NO STANDARD ASSIGNMENT DEFINED FOR BP ROLE CATEGORY BBP003".
    I have checked in BBP003 Category in the same.
    What could be the problem?

             You have Created a BP Role,
    You must also have assgned the Same to a BP Role Category Check the Settings for BP Role Category Assignment and when Appropriate you shall Assign Std Assignment of BP Role Category to your BP Role by Selecting the Check Box

    Use
    The role category makes it possible for SAP and customer programs to program on the BP role.
    Dependencies
    The role category depends on a differentiation type.
    Any number of BP roles can be assigned to a role category, with one role always acting as the standard role per role category.
    It is possible to control the update of a role by assigning a role category to a role.

  • Automatic creation of Vendor in FI from Business Partner

    Hi, experts!
    We are looking into a process to automate the creation of vendor master data in FI Accounts Payable for our employees and to keep them in sync as employees' names, banking and address info change over time. We use concurrent employment, and we noticed that running PRAA as a mass-update job to create vendor records for all employees will create duplicate Vendors for employees who have more than one active Personnel Assignment.
    We are now looking into the possibility of using the Business Partner as a means of pushing HR data into FI within the same ECC6 system. So far, we have been able to turn on the automatic creation of BPs when new employees are 'hired' into our test system via transaction PA40. We can also use the program HRALXSYNC to create the BP for existing employees. Once these BPs are created, master data updates flow from the employee master data in HR to the BP. However, we can't seem to get the system to automatically create a Vendor record for this BP and have that linked together at the same time.
    Is this possible? If not, is there a transaction that can be run to do a mass creation of Vendor records for Business Partners that don't already have one?
    I can see that our BPs have been assigned to the proper Role in table BUT100, and we have "define(d) vendor link for business partner roles" in V_TBC002 to be "vendor-based". What configuration step might we be missing?

    Thanks for the response!!  We have already created an entry in this table for Role Category = BUP003 (the SAP-delivered role category "Employee").  In this table, we have chosen the "Vendor Based" radio button, since we want Vendor master data to be created for all BUP003 business partners that are created.
    Which function modules need to be activated via the SPRO path Cross-Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Data Distribution -> Activate Function Modules in order to have Vendors automatically created whenever a specific role of BP is created?

    I went to transaction BUMR and created the new relationship category. I can see this in the SPRO -> cross application components -> SAP business partner -> BP Relationships -> Properties of relationship categories.
    Go to BUMR -> Relationship Control -> Relationship Categories (BUBA)
    I have copied the existing contact person relationship as my new relationship category
    But it is not visible when I went to relationships tab in business partner.
    Any ideas?

  • Restrict Search results in Transaction FPP3 Business Partner

    Hallo,
    I need to restrict the search results in transaction code FPP3.
    When an end user calls the transaction code 'FPP3' and in the left side of the screen makes a search for Business partner based on what ever selection cryteria, standard program finds the values and gives the result on ALV grid.
    My problem is I need to check if user has right authorisation to look at Partner and if  not delete the partner from Result table. I have treid by implementing events 'SERC1, SECR2 and SERC3'  in BDT and implemented the BADI to masK the fields which is not right solution.
    Can anybody please give me Tip or an Example how I can solve my problem.

    you can you this in the following way: IMG -> ...-> Treasury and Risk Management -> Basic Functions -> SAP Business Partner for Financial Services -> General Settings -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Business Partner Roles -> Define BP Roles -> select those BP roles you intend to hide for the selection in F4 -> choose detailed view -> look for the fields group 'General data' - > select the checkbox in the field 'Hide'.
    one note - as those BP roles are used in other SAP modules as well, make sure, you are not making the incorrect settings in this area.

  • Business Partner creation in CRM/SRM with ID Management

    Hi,
    I have tried to find info about Business partner management with IDM to CRM/SRM...
    Customer would have two use cases.. Internal and External users...
    Internal use case is quite straight forward in IDM documentation.. I have two questions about this,,,
    1. ALE connection from HCM to CRM/SRM to create BPs to internal users... is there anywhere documentation how to configure this ALE connection?
    2. Is after SU01 user is created - Linking to BP automatical when using Business Suite connector ?
    External use case. Customer would like to implement scenario, where BP is created either:
    1. on CRM/SRM and IDM user would be created... and after approving new IDM user SU01 user with roles would be created nd BP linking would happen...
    2. on IDM user is created - BP and SU01 user would be created on CRM side... and linking between them..
    On external use case I have understood- that first one is possible without stronger customization and ABAP programming?
    --- first one requires VDS and SPML ID store on IDM side
    And something to send Newly created BP from CRM to IDM with SPML
    or does IDM check regularry with SPML CRM for newly created BPs??
    Does anyone know how actually this is happening?
    And is there any special configuration needed on CRM side? or some transaction to run after BP creation?

    Hi,
    Check whether the BP roles have been defined in the system.
    Go to  Customizing:
    Cross-Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Define BP Roles
    Here you can define BP Roles and BP Categories.
    Make sure the appropriate category is assigned to the BP role that you are trying to create. For this select the BP role and click on the "details" button.

  • Business Partner relationship assignment

    Hi experts,
    we have a slight problem in CRM. We are working with 4.0 and connected R/3 4.7c.
    We enter BPs in CRM and transfer them to R/3.
    Two Problems:
    1. in the BP Role "Customer" we want to set one Partner Function (relationship) "Has Employee Responsible" as mandatory, so that as soon as someone create a new customer he has to maintain also this relationship.
    How can I do this?
    2. In BP role Customer, because of R/3, we have 3 additional relationships categories like "Has ship-to party" ans so on... If e.g. the ship-to party is different to the customer itself, we have to maintain it.
    In this case we have to ensure that the sales area of the alternative BP as ship-to party matches with the sales area of the customer. Currently I can enter some BP independent to the sales area, while transfer to R/3 it does not work, because R/3 does check it.
    Any solution?

    Problem No. 1.
    As per standard CRM
    Cross-Application Components SAP Business PartnerBusiness Partner Basic Settings Field GroupingsConfigure Field Attributes per BP Role
    In  role customer and you will get data set CRM partner functions. Here you can make partner function mandatory by selecting required entry radio button. But this will only make one partner function mandatory and will not specify which one. In your case you want Has Employee responsible.
    Hence you will have to write BADI which can make this particular Partner function mandatory.
    Problem No. 2
    Here again as per the standard CRM its not possible be have a check on the sales area of the partner function you are entering, because you select the sales are first and then enter the partner functions. Thus if you maintain multiple roles you can select different sales area for these roles and can enter partner functions in these sales areas. Thus there is no control or check on the sales area of the business partner and the sales area of the partner functions.
    Hence you will have to write BADI which should check and match the sales area of the partner functions (which are maintained in same sales area in R/3) and the sales area of the BP. If they are different then it should give the pop up message to that effect.
