SAP- Confirmation Block- SOS SOS

HI
I have created a new Delivery Block
In the new delivery block, i have selected
1. Block Order
2. Prevent Order Confirmation
I have assigned this new Delivery Block to a Distribution Channel Status
I have assigned this Distribution Channel Status to a Material in the Sales Org View
While creating the Sales Order
SAP mentions the following
1. Order will be created with confirmed schedule line if stock exists
2. At the time of saving the delivery block will kick in at the item level and unconfirm the schedule line
In my scenarion, the schedule line is not getting removed at the time of saving
I can see the delivery block in display mode at the line item level. But the Confirmed schedule line still exists
Any inputs on the same will be very helpful
Thanks in advance
Harish

Dear AA,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
I have done the assignment in Sales Doc Also .
Here the issue is the price may change at the time of delivery due to market fluctuation. Hence doing pricing at delivery level also.
I want this to be checked by some person from other dept. for the rate and then remove this billing block at delivery level in order to go ahead with the Billing.
Posting Block is not agreed as the Invoice is made and printed out at the time of creation
If u have any other suggestions, pls. tell.

• Delivery block with confirm. block on schedule line level in sales order

We customized a new delivery block with confirmation block.
When using it in sales order header, it is working correctly: the availability check in APO gATP is executed; but as soon as I save the sales order, the confirmation quantity is set to zero.
We now need to use this on schedule line level, not on header level. It is not working. Even after saving the confirmed quantity stays as filled by gATP availability check.
What is wrong? SAP help / documentation officially describe that delivery block with confirmation block either works on header level or on schedule line level.
Thanks in advance.

• SAP customer block table

Hello,
Can someone tell me the table where I can see the SAP customer block ?
Thanks.
Regards,
Rajesh.

Hi,
There are several types of customer blocks (search for "block" in table KNA1) each of which have a check table associated with it. For example, table TVFS contains billing blocks (KNA1-FAKSD), table TVLS contains delivery blocks (KNA1-LIFSD), TVAST contains central order blocks (KNA1-AUFSD), etc.

• SAP Output blocks on printer

We are facing some printing prob: SAP Output blocks on printer LJ06 frequently: waiting in host spooler
SAP Output blocks on printer LJ06 frequently (= every day, more then 1 time).
This for output sent from several transactions (= not only or every time from the same transaction)
We only have problem with SAP printing. No problem with BaaN printing neither with windows printing. Some follow-up tests done : it takes average 5 minutes before the status in SAP printer spooler is changing from 'Waiting for output formatter' to 'Waiting for host spooler'. Please provide some solution for this prob.
Regards,
Ansar

Here in SPAD: Acces tab: Host Spool Access Method: E: External Output Management system.
Its mention E, so you mean to say i need to change the Access method to L, S, C, U
When iam selecting L,S,C,U the system is showing the Donot query host Spooler for output status.
So wht need to be done?
In Dev server method is E, here the system doesnot show the option of Donot query host Spooler for output status.
In Quality server method is E, here i can view the option of Donot query host Spooler for output status.
In Prod server method is E, here the system doesnot show the option of Donot query host Spooler for output status.
Iam coming nearer to the solution. can you plz elaborate this.

• Negative values for Custom field in SAP coding block !

Hi All,
Hope all of you are doing fine.
I need your valuable suggestion/possible workaround for the following requirement.
u2022 The project requires me to add a custom new field to SAP coding block, which can take negative numeric values.
u2022 The standard u201Caddition of custom fieldu201D configuration allows me to have the data type of the newly added custom field as either NUMC or CHAR. NUMC data type does not allow negative values. Standard configuration does not allow me to choose other data types (for custom field addition) like QUAN which can allow negative values (by checking the Sign at domain level in data type).
u2022 Moreover, once I have added the custom field, itu2019s not possible to change the data type of the newly added field (say from NUMC to QUAN).
I wanted to know if anyone of you have any project experience/knowledge about possible workaround, where we can add a custom field in SAP coding block, which can accept negative numeric values (through standard configuration or otherwise).

No experience on that, but I strongly advise you to not trying to do something else than what was designed by SAP. So, you can create a character type field, with for example a field exit (though this technology is obsolete, it's very useful in that case) to validate its content (and reformat it if needed).
Note that from a functional perspective, I think an amount is strange in the coding block, so maybe ask the functional people to know why they need it...

• Sap script block positioning.

hi,
i have 2 pages in my sap script.
both the pages have the same "main" window.
i have given box command in the begining of this main window:
/:BOX XPOS '.5' CM YPOS '0' CM WIDTH '25' CM HEIGHT '1' CM FRAME 0 TW INTENSITY 15
/:BOX XPOS '.5' CM YPOS '0' CM WIDTH '25' CM HEIGHT 0 TW FRAME 10 TW
/:BOX XPOS '.5' CM YPOS '1' CM WIDTH '25' CM HEIGHT 0 TW FRAME 10 TW
The problem i am facing is :the box is coming at the right place for 1st page, but at the top of the page for the next window. i think it must be taking y coord. from the top of the page for the next window.
Please give a suitable solution for this,
thanks in advance,
Ravindra

hii Ravindra,
try this out
/: POSITION XORIGIN '11.21' YORIGIN '5.31' MM
/: SIZE HEIGHT '2' MM WIDTH '76' MM
/: BOX FRAME 10 TW INTENSITY 10
This can be usefull if you gave several boxes that share the same parameters.
If you want to set the position realtively to the window use POSITION WINDOW
to set the position to the top/left start of the window. Then use POSITION
to set the current position relatively to the start of the Window.
Note that you uses "+" or "-" in the ORIGIN position to the set the position relatively.
/: POSITION WINDOW
/: POSITION XORIGIN '5' MM YORIGIN '10' MM
the position is now 5 MM from the left and 10 MM from the top of the window
NOTE: After using the position command you can move the current position
realtively to the last used position
/: POSITION XORIGIN '10' MM YORIGIN '20' MM
Now the position will be X = 15 and Y = 30
Drawing a line. You can draw a line by setting the Height or Weidth to 0
and add a frane. E.g. a horizontal line:
/: SIZE HEIGHT '0' MM WIDTH '200' MM
/: BOX FRAME 10 TW XPOS '11.21' MM YPOS '14.81' MM INTENSITY 100
i guess this will help

• Delivery block at item level in sales order,Qty should not be confirmed

Dear all
We have a below requirment
We will have multiple line items in sales order and put delivery block at item level. If delivery block is put at item level it should not confirm the qty and pass on to MRP
But if we put at header level delivery block, schedule line qty at item level are not getting confirmed. So requirements are not passed to MRP-This is correct .Working as per SAP standard configuration.
Can you tell how to activate the same for item level delivery block.if same delivery block is put at item level,it is confirming the quantity. But we don't want confirmation of qty to happen.
Can you give us solution
Regards
Sudha

We had similar issue , there will be confirmed quantity but the requirement will not transfer to MRP , We used Item category configuration ( Copied new item category assignment and it should behave as Inquiry item category)
Check OVZ7 T code for customizing the u201CDelivery Blocku201D in your sales document to block Confirmation block
Check the customizing OVZ8: if the flag Transfer of Requirement
Transfer of requirements of the requirement class should be ON.
In the sales order the requirement type is determined by the combination sales order item + MRP type.

• Block Confirm QTY and PGI for Credit block

How / where to block the following for credit blocked documents
1.Confirmed qty should be 0 for credit block sales order
2. PGI should not happen for credit block delivery

Hi
What the 'Conf.Block' in OVZ7 does is this:
Confirmation block
Indicates whether the system, in addition to blocking delivery, also blocks the confirmation of order quantities after an availability check during sales order processing.
Example
You may want to block confirmation of sales orders where the creditworthiness of the customer is in question. In this case, you set the confirmation block for the delivery block that relates to credit problems. During sales order entry, when you enter a delivery block because of credit problems, the system, after you save the order, does not confirm any quantities for delivery. In this way, the goods remain available for other customers.
Note
If, before you save a sales order, you look at the schedule line overview, you can see what the system would confirm, if the block were not set. However, as soon as you save the sales order, the confirmed quantities are automatically reset to zero.
So, eventhough the confirmed qty remains in the sales order, the qty will be used to confirm other sales orders. And you cannot do PGI.
You might have to try some ABAP routines to overwrite this standard sap functionality of not reserving the confirmed qty in the sales order during credit check.

• Release Credit Blocked SO Automatically

Hi Expert,
I've just changed the credit control setting in OVA8. Before this change, there are a lot of sales orders were being blocked due to the previous setting. After the changes done (change "Deviation in %" from 0% to 50% & change "Days oldest item" from 1 day to 2 days). There should have many blocked SOs which are not fulfils this new rule anymore.
May I know any t-code/program can be run to automatically release those blocked SOs which are not fulfil the new rule after the changes done?
Many thanks & regards,
Poi Yoke

Dear Aw Poi Yoke ,
The list of sales order in VKM3 will be those which are blocked due to the current OVA8 setting.
What you can do is run the credit re-organisation programs for those sales order which were created before making the configuration changes. (you can get the list by considering the document creation date)
Now check the programs
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/93/743861546011d1a7020000e829fd11/content.htm
You will find the option of entering the document no in one of the above program.
Do it and so the new check will be applicable for the sales orders already created before the configuration changes.
Check in testing server and revert back.

• Delivery block in the schedule lines.

Hi,
Mine is a MTO scenario. I am using planning strategy 50. So a planned order ---> production order will be created against MRP run against each sales order.
When i am placing a delivery block at the header the system is working fine. Its deleting the planned order(converted production order).
when I am placing a delivery block at the schedulle line its not working fine. its not deleting the underlined planned order or production order.
what configuration should I do to make this work.......

Hi,
Look at the help (press F1) on the field confirmation block at SPRO-> Sales and Distribution ->Basic functions ->Availability check and Transfer of Requirements ->Tranfer of Requirements -> Block quantity confirmation in delivery blocks ->Reasons for and Scope of Delivery Blocks: Transfer of Req. blocks.
It looks applying delivery block at schdule line level will not delete the passed requirements. This is standard SAP behavior. If you want to change this nature, then you may need to use an User-exit.
Following is description given for the field confirmation block;
Dependencies
If you enter the delivery block at header level, the system transfers the desired delivery quantity for all schedule lines in the requirement. The confirmed quantity is deleted. This function is not available when you enter the delivery block at schedule line level.

• How to block Sales order for any overdue balance.

There is a need to change SAP setting for blocked Sales Order for due balance. Current SAP setting : block is valid only for "over due
more than 30 days".
The requirement is to block order based on any overdue amount say For example : if we have due balance for 1 day, than system should block the SO.
In current credit management settings applied, there is Static check ( C ) and Oldest open item (C ) with Days oldest item =30 days. Kindly suggest as what changes should be made to reflect the desired changes. Also , help in confirming the thought that Static check itself considers the OPEN ITEMS, so if i am activating static check and REMOVES THE OLDEST OPEN ITEm, will it take any overdue amount automatically and block subsequently. To add to it kindly explain, what is the use of this additional check of Oldest Open Item ( with days = X days ) for creit mngt. can't we maintain it by Static check.
Kindly guide as what to change in OVA8 to have this. All feeedbacks are highly appreciated.

The user want to block SO for 2 types below. System must block SO if the credit limit is exceeded and/or the payment is overdue
Currently Two credit checks in OVA8
1- Static check
2- Payment Overdue check by Oldest Open Item ( 30 Days limit is set)
But, now for SO block due to payment overdue need to be changed from 30 days overdue to any day overdue.
How to acheive the above , Also kindly confirm that Static check contains OPEN ITEMS so Won't static check only carry the functionality to block SO for ANY DAY OVERDUE.
Any feedback is highly appreciable.

If we have 100 tons order, After the Sales Order creation it goes to Accounts Dept. for approval after get it approved, production dept. as per the produced quantity they will confirm the quantity for the delivery ex: 25 tons, after confirming the quantity by using Tcode: CO06 system again carrying out credit check and blocking for delivery any solution avoid this.
Thanks

Hello MH,
Try here:
IMG - Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements - Transfer of Requirements - Block Quantity Confirmation In Delivery Blocks - Deliveries: Blocking Reasons/Criteria
Here there would be check boxes for order & Conf. for Credit Limit Block.
Try to uncheck the Order & Confirmation Block & see whether it solves your issue.

• SAP paging overflow when storing data in the ABAP/4 memory.

I am trying to create a data source in BI7.0 in the Datawarehousing Workbench. But along the process when i need to select a view i get an error detailed in the following error file extract: Please go through and assist.
untime Errors MEMORY_NO_MORE_PAGING
Date and Time 06.06.2009 14:21:35
Short text
SAP paging overflow when storing data in the ABAP/4 memory.
What happened?
The current program requested storage space from the SAP paging area,
but this request could not be fulfilled.
of this area in the SAP system profile.
What can you do?
Note which actions and input led to the error.
For further help in handling the problem, contact your SAP administrator
You can use the ABAP dump analysis transaction ST22 to view and manage
termination messages, in particular for long term reference.
Error analysis
The ABAP/4 runtime system and the ABAP/4 compiler use a common
interface to store different types of data in different parts of
the SAP paging area. This data includes the
ABAP/4 memory (EXPORT TO MEMORY), the SUBMIT REPORT parameters,
CALL DIALOG and CALL TRANSACTION USING, as well as internally defined
macros (specified with DEFINE).
To store further data in the SAP paging area, you attempted to
allocate a new SAP paging block, but no more blocks were
available.
When the SAP paging overflow occurred, the ABAP/4 memory contained
entries for 20 of different IDs.
Please note:
To facilitate error handling, the ABAP/4 memory was
deleted.
How to correct the error
The amount of storage space (in bytes) filled at termination time was:
Roll area...................... 8176
Extended memory (EM)........... 13587912
Assigned memory (HEAP)......... 0
Short area..................... " "
Paging area.................... 40960
Maximum address space.......... " "
By calling Transaction SM04 and choosing 'Goto' -> 'Block list',
you can display an overview of the current roll and paging memory
levels resulting from active users and their transactions. Try to
decide from this whether another program requires a lot of memory
space (perhaps too much).
The system log contains more detailed information about the
termination. Check for any unwanted recursion.
Determine whether the error also occurs with small volumes of
data. Check the profile (parameter "rdisp/PG_MAXFS", see
Installation Guidelines).
Is the disk or the file system that contains the paging file
full to the extent that it cannot be increased, although it has
not yet reached the size defined in the profile? Is the
operating system configured to accommodate files of such a
size?
The ABAP processor stores different types of data in the SAP
paging area. These include:
(1) Data clusters (EXPORT ... TO MEMORY ...)
(2) Parameters for calling programs (SUBMIT REPORT ...),
Dialog modules (CALL DIALOG ...) and transactions
(CALL TRANSACTION USING ...)
(3) Internally defined program macros (DEFINE ...)
Accordingly, you should check the relevant statements in a program
that results in an overflow of the SAP paging area.
It is critical when many internal tables, possibly with
different IDs, are written to memory (EXPORT).
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"MEMORY_NO_MORE_PAGING" " "
"SAPLWDTM" or "LWDTMU20"
"TABC_ACTIVATE_AND_UPDATE"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.

Hi Huggins,
Maintenance of the Paging File is owned by your basis team.
They should increase this in order for your transaction to process successfully.
Just for your reference, in case the OS used is windows server 2003, paging file value can be checked through;
Right click in the My Computer>properties.
Then go to Advance tab;
Then there should be a performance section, click the settings
Then Advance tab again. The paging file can be seen from there.
(and can be adjusted from there also)
The value of the paging file in general will be dependent with the available RAM from the hardware.
Hope this helps. Thanks a lot.
- Jeff
