SAP CRM Standard Product Search Not working for ATTR STR_SUPPL2

Hello Colleagues ,
Background :-
Each Product in SAP CRM has a location address .
Address has an attribute STR_SUPPL2 . This standard field is also a Query Parameter in Product Search Query.
When we use this Query Parameter STR_SUPPL2 , Search result in an Error Message with no result .
Technical Analysis :-
There is a Query Parameter named ST_SUPPL2 in the CRM Product Search ::ProdAdvancedSearchIndObjects .
When we use this Query Parameter an Error message Appears .
Search criteria LOCATION_ADDRESS.STR_SUPPL2 in scenario CL_COM_PRSEARCHSCENARIO_LOCAT not included in tool/filter LOCATION_ADDRESS STR_SUPPL2 CL_COM_PRSEARCHSCENARIO_LOCAT

I tried to find out the cause .Its mainly because SAP has coded in such a way to allow only few Location Address parameters in production search .
This can be viewed in the class :: CL_COM_PRSEARCHTOOL_LOCAT~DO_SEARCH .
There is a related OSS Note (1018099) as well ,but its valid for few Fields only .
We are already on CRM latest SP .
Client Requirement :-
Since STR_SUPPL2 is part of standard search criteria and my Client requires to consume this field in Product Search and Result .
Please if some one can help here .
MY DOUBTS :-
Query 1 :-
Should this be resolved by SAP and Shall i open an Incident ?
Query 2 :-
What BADI should i use if i need to write my own custom logic to implement search based on this field STR_SUPPL2 ?

if there is an easier way to achieve this ?

I checked Implementing COM_PRODUCT_SE .
But looks like after Implementing the Enhancement Spot , I have to Take care of the Complete Product Search myself .This is not the intension here .
Reason : CL_CRM_PRIL_ADVSEARCH_BASE~GET_RANGESEARCH_RESULT
CALL METHOD me->do_searchengine_search (Ignores all other Location Query Paramaters)
CALL METHOD me->do_database_range_search
I just need to enable 1 standard Field :: STR_SUPPL2 Seachable .
Any comments are welcome

I was searching Internal Goods/Services via Product ID. In the search criteria for Product ID we have given 1* as search criteria and it seach all alphanumeris Internal Goods/Services but not able to give search results for numeric Internal Goods/Services.

SAP PLM 7.02- Web UI search not working for Specification

Hello PLM members,
I am facing issue with indexing of Specification connectors due to that the specification quick search is not working properly.
I am looking the steps to activate the EHS: Specification connector in the ESH_cockpit.
What is the prerequisite before activation of the Specification connector in the cockpit.
After selecting the EHS: Specification, do i need to activate all the related connector inside the specification.
What is Virtual template for EHS: specification in the cockpit.
Need detail about the scheduling a real time indexing.

Dear Shailesh,
You can find the necessary information in the Specification customizing:
When you create a connector the cockpit will automatically creates all the necessary dependent connectors. When all of the connectors have the status Prepared, you can start the indexing.
The PLM Web UI uses the virtual template for the Advanced Search and all the other enterprise search. This model is only a application relevant representation of the EHS data. You can find additional information about this here: Creating Virtual Templates - Search Technology - SAP Library

Accounts search not working for only the specific user

Hi friends,
We have configured E.P 7.0 with CRM 5.0 and configured CRM PCUI business package.
We have role called accounts abd products in portal. So accounts can be searched in this role.
Now our severity issue is for one of the super user,for ex su1, accounts search is not working in portal but the same is working in CRM GUI.
for example if we search for an account 233445(or any other account) in portal its showing no data found but if we search with the same criteria data is displaying CRM GUI.
We have checked with other 2 super ids. Both ends portal and gui search is working fine.
Am unable to figure out whats the cause of the issue as search is not working only for one user su1 .
we have checked by restarting the server also to clear the memory cache.But still search is not working in portal.
Could anyone of u please advice ASAP as this is severity issue.

Go in debugging in the query method of your MAC to see why the BP is not selected (or deleted) before going to the read method.

SAP Mobile app Stock photo not work for network location

Hi Experts
I found if we use network location path (e.g.
servername\pic folder\) in SAP Business One General Settings -> Path, Picture Folder, then if we logon SAP B1 Mobile app from iPad/iPhone, and try to open stock photo, we will get error:
Processing Failed
Internal server error: contact your system administrator
It looks like it only work for local path, e.g C:\pic
Even we put path as :
local pc name\pic folder, it is also not work.
Any idea about this?

The first link is a temporary fix for a machine that only one or two people will use. This will not fix the Library Machines that some 3000 users can use at anytime. I can not pre-add all these users every time we image a machine. We also loan out laptops and I need these machine to wirelessly login dynamically to the domain. But I also need these machine to allow access if these machine are removed from our campus and the wireless access is not available.
Thank again for the help and I hope someone at Apple can fix this soon. I going to have a hard time telling the client that thay can not use the OS that came with they're machine.

Submenu button like GoTo.. on CRM PCUI screen is not working for one user

We have CRM Service scenario implemented with PCUI screens. For one particular user, GoTo button does not work on her PC. When I login as her on my PC then it works. So something wrong with her PC or Internet Explorer. What should I look for?

Hi Manish,
It means you are getting a JavaScript error. It will be seen on the left corner of your browser. Please compare your IE setting with your colleagues IE settings. This should solve the problem. Incase you still get the problem then try to refresh the screen. The problem should not be there.

SAP EXIT Variable 0FYEAR is not working for Fiscal Year(OFISCYEAR)

Dear SDN,
I have created Simple Query.
ROWS
Company code(0COMP_CODE)
Fiscal Year(0FISCYEAR)
Columns
Total Debit postings(0DEBIT)
Total Credit posting(0CREDIT)
Filters
Companycode(Variable Selection option)
Fiscal year(Varialbe SAPEXIT 0FYEAR)
Fiscal Year Variant(K4)
After executing the query in the variable screen only company code is displayed.
SAP EXIT FISCAL YEAR VARIALBE(0FYEAR) IS NOT WORKING.....
Is there any setting or activation is required to use SAP EXITS?

In this case you will have to use a Customer Exit (which is Ready for Input) Variable which gets Current Fiscal Year as a Default Value.
In order to do that - you will need to create a Customer Exit Variable which is Ready for Input. The Variable will have to be assigned with Current Fiscal Year under I_STEP 1 (this refers to the coding of the Customer Exit in T-code: CMOD)
If you need any help with the coding - don't hesitate to ask.

MOSS 2007 Enterprise Search not working for Korea based users but WSS Search is working fine.

In my organization all the users are able to do Enterprise content search and people search but only Korea based users its not working (both content search & people search). But at the same time WSS 3.0 search (its a different farm) is working fine.
Your search cannot be completed because of a service error. Try your search again or contact your administrator for more information.
1. No changes in the URL for all users and Korea users
2. Tried with different browsers and clearly the temp files but no use.
3. Korea users also working from office only with Wired LAN connection.
4. Tried different accounts (including Farm account) but no use.
5. Not receiving any errors in the Event Viewer
Anyone please let me know what went wrong.

Please try to click and hight All Mail Items under Mail Folders and then try to search again:

Oracle text search not working for WSDL files

I have a table (resources) with blob data type column (xml_data) and I've created context type index on that column. I've XSD and WSDL files stored in that blob column.
I can search XSD and XML files with a query with contains operator. But any search on the words from wsdl file returns zero results.I am not able to perform search on wsdl file.
Please advise me whether oracle text can work for WSDL files also ?

Even though it isn't listed specifically, I can't see why it wouldn't work. The WSDL file should be a simple XML file, so in theory it shouldn't be any different to Oracle Text than the XML file that you loaded and searched successfully. Did you get any errors during indexing, and what do your tokens look like in the DR$MYINDEX$I.TOKEN_TEXT column?
Do you have a mini test case that didn't work for you? Perhaps we could play with it a bit.
Long term you might want to consider using section groups so that you can search "within" tags.

Saved Search not working for Oppt in Marketing roles

When i go to Business Role Mkt Manager or Mkt Pro and search Oppt and save them go back to the home screen and try to click on the search that i saved it does not do anything and this is specific only to Oppt and Quotation.All the other transactions are fine.Kindly advice.If there is a config for this or if this is standard SAP Functionality.

This would occur due to missing customizing in transaction CRMC_UI_NBLINKS.
Here select the corresponding navigation bar profile and observe the entries after choosing - Define Generic OP Mapping. Check the entries for action search, execute and compare with the other profiles which you mentioned are working. Maintaining the same should rectify the issue.

Apple Mail search not working for Inbox

In the last few weeks I've notice the Apple Mail (5.2) search feature has stopped working correctly. It used to turn up all relevant results in a mail box, then lately it seems (based on the results) to go back just a few weeks and not the full year of mail that is in the mailbox.
Following the advise of a MacWorld article I removed these files from Mail's library folder… Envelope Index, Envelope Index-shm, and Envelope Index-wal, restarted Mail and followed the prompt to reindex. Following that… Search works worse, I run tests to find a word in the body and get 0 results… and I know it's there. As I type in the last letter of the word into the Seach lozenge I get a list just below the lozenge ) of People and Subjects that contain the word but nada results for the word in the Body of the message. These tests were run on the Inbox, other mailboxes (with List-serve Mail) seem to work ok… but the Inbox Search is what I really care about.
Any ideas about fixing this? Thanks in advance,

Mail Search not working for 2013

I have been trying to do a search in my mail and nothing is coming up for the year 2013. I can find all with the persons name for 2012 and before. But all recent conversations for 2013 is not showing up at all.
This is also for my MacBook Pro running 10.8
What gives?
Two different OS's Two different Mail Versions. And same results for not coming up with anything with the year 2013
Something is wrong. HOW DO I SOLVE THIS ISSUE??
My mail server is with Google.
My mail account is for @hcri.com NOT gmail.com
I also have a me.com account. And I have the same problem. I can try a search for a name under my me.com account, and it will pull everything up starting with 2012. 2013 will not show any results
This is truly serious, for trying to find certain email correspondance.

Trex search not working for not english documents

Hello, I've got a problem enabling full text search for russian documents
For enabling full text search for documents stored in kPro theese steps
were performed:
- creating rfc connection with TREX instance
- enabling Index Release and Classify in transaction skpr06 for document
area SRM
- marking LANGUAGE attribute in table SDOKCLPROP for custom PHIO class
Z780003P01 as obligatory
- creating index category and indexing stored documents in transaction
skpr07 for class Z780003P01
The indexing was performed successfully. Under the created index category
for class Z780003P01 it can be seen two indexed document classes
(transaction spkr07, button indexed documents) one with language marked E
(english) and one marked R (russian).
When trying to perform test search (transaction skpr07) and indicating
language as RU only documents in english can be searched. When trying
a search request in russian search engine allways shows 0 results (for
every request more than 2 characters). Small requests in russian (1-2
characters) show some results but they are hardly to be right.
Have you got some experience enabling full-text search for documents in language other than english?

sorry for long delay, we tried to work with sap support on this problem but still no profit,

We tried to add a LANGUAGE attribute as a free attribute in transaction DMWB for our LOIO and PHIO document classes with attribute value 'RU', but still the same issue.

The problem is that the indexing report says that most of documents were marked as indexed in russian successfully, so the problem is somwhere else I think.

Windows 8 search not working for on particular folder on external HDD

I have an external HDD which has a library of pdf documents on it (about 11gigs worth) - it's in my index and it used to be perfectly searchable by windows search until I had the files system converted to NTFS from FAT32. Now it literally will not
find anything in the folder with all the pdfs in it (even if you search "pdf" it wont find a single thing) yet it will find anything else in any other folder on the same drive.
I have no idea what the problem is. That folder is also shared, and is a google drive. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks, DB
