SAP Explorer and Proxy generator 2008

Hi experts,
I'm trying to use the Aconcagua IT SAP Explorer and proxy generator 2008 with microsoft visual studio 2008,
and I'm facing a problem. The version of Aconcagua plugin in is evaluation.
I am able to connect to SAP server and see the list of all Z* function RFC enabled, but when I try to generate the Client proxy
I receive the exception message :
Cannot build the proxy of "name function" .
Exception: The method or operation is not implemented.
Anyone has some experience in using this plugin?
The ABAP function I'm calling is correct and RFC enabled,
am I missing some step?
I loaded the references of Aconcagua including SAP.Connector and SAP.Connector.RFC, but I'm not able to add
librfc32.dll.
Please help, I have to develop a call from C++ to SAP system quikly!!

Hi Amadeusz,
Well, it explains why ES Explorer Tools Options is not available.
It is very important that Visual Studio will be closed during ES Explorer for .NET installation.
I would suggest you to close all open Visual Studio instances, uninstall and then install again ES Explorer for .NET.

You cannot block explorer.exe when you do not replace the shell - the
desktop you see effectively IS explorer.exe...

Is Firefox directly linked to IE Explorer via the LAN settings in IE Explorer? I set up a 0.0.0.0 proxy to neuter IE Explorer and it also neutered Firefox.

I heard I could kill IE Explorer with a simple Tools > Internet Options > Connection > LAN Settings > Proxy Server setup to the address 0.0.0.0.. And, it killed the IE Explorer. From the "question" above, you know I was needing it dead because even though I NEVER run IE Explorer, every time I run CCleaner, it shows it cleans some,IE Explorer cache. I don't know if it's got to run somewhere in the background for some unauthorized reason (?) or if I have some strange virus / trojan / backdoor something that's somehow using IE Explorer to call a server and my AV (Avast) can't detect any of it. Thing is, I got IE Explorer to begone, but I could no longer access internet through Firefox either. I reset my router, cleaned like an OCD maid, and restarted. Nada. Just wouldn't connect. Another system connected to the router worked just fine. I went back into IE Explorer and tried un-checking the proxy server and quit. Sure enough, Firefox was again sucking in and spitting out packets. Question is: Are IE Explorer and Firefox connected via IE Explorer LAN settings? Or is there some malware that uses IE Explorer to communicate? And, if the latter, any ideas WTF? This is a new problem, Has anyone else seen phantom IE Explorer cache being cleaned up without ever being run?

Help with Apache Reverse Proxy configuration with SAP Portal and SAP Webgui

Dear Experts,
I have an issue configuring Apache to work with SAP Portal and ERP webgui. Accessing Portal through Reverse Proxy is working fine. But the problem arises when we try to open an iView ERP webgui transaction page from Portal with the Reverse Proxy. After installation I opened the Dot Net connector proxy client wizard . I followed the series of step during Dot Net connector configuration:
1. selected the SAP connector.
2. The next screen 'Enter Logon Information' comes where i entered the following information System as 'custom', host='IP address', Id='00' but by default it turns to '0' , client='800', user='user id' and password ='password'.
3. After clicking on Next button i am successfully logon into the SAP system.
4. The next screen in the wizard is 'selectall the remote function modules that you want to be part of your proxy object'. After selecting the SAP tables and clicked on Next button I am getting following error

Flex Builder 3 - Web Service Proxy Generator

I am investigating the web service proxy generator that is part of FB3. I can't seem to get it working properly and wondered if anyone else has managed to succeed.
I am using WSDL files that are generated from RFC-enabled function modules using the web service browser on a WAS ABAP.
I have chosen two quite simple function modules. RFC_SYSTEM_INFO and BAPI_USER_GETLIST.
The WSDL files are retrieved from the URLs /sap/bc/soap/wsdl11?services=RFC_SYSTEM_INFO and /sap/bc/soap/wsdl11?services=BAPI_USER_GETLIST on my server.

Anyway, I generate the proxies and then try to use them.
First I call the RFC_SYSTEM_INFO web service like this...

At first glance this seems to work, but on closer inspection it turns out that not all the returned XML payload has been extracted properly.
Attributes at the top level, like CURRENT_RESOURCES work fine. Attributes at a lower level, like RFCSI_EXPORT.RFCHOST are empty.
It is even more difficult when I try and call the BAPI_USER_GETLIST service because it requires input parameters. Testing with XMLSpy I found that I need to pass the MAX_ROWS and USERLIST parameters to get the SOAP call to work.
I have been unable to figure out how to pass these parameters so that the web service call takes place properly. I have tried using both the MXML and ActionScript methods.
It is entirely probably that, as I haven't played with Flex for some months, I have forgotten some vital piece of information on how to do this.
Any help would be appreciated.

JCo Proxy Generator - not getting past Logon step in Wizard

I'm running the 2.0.11 version of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio and want to try out the JCo Proxy Generator.
I can start the wizard and enter the connection details for a "Single System". But when I click next all I see is a progress bar before it disappears leaving me on the logon step of the wizard.
Has anyone else experienced and solved this?
All help much appreciated.

VS2008/VS2005 and Crystal Reports 2008 Developer

Hi,
1.) I am using VS2008 and Crystal Reports 2008 Developer. Are there any issues I need to consider when developing using both of the above? (or with VS2005)
2.) The confusion for me is in regards to the SDK. From what I understand from articles etc is that using CR 2008 dev we can use the .NET SDK or RAS SDK for development purposes?
3.) So downloaded the sample code for RAS .NET from [here|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/businessobjects-samples?rid=/webcontent/uuid/80774579-b086-2b10-db91-ed58c4dda375] and tried "DatabaseLogon_CS" example, as the option. It automatically opened in VS2005 (no problem) however it would not run.
I would get an error :
Failed to connect to server "localhost".
Error returned from Windows Sockets API : 0.

If you're using the sample code from our website, make sure you have uncommented the InprocRAS option in the ConfigureCrystalReports method (see below). From your error description it seems like you're using the unmanaged RAS option, which requires a RAS server.

Is this scenario possible:
SNC connection from SAP GUI to SAP Router, and non-SNC connection from SAP Router to SAP System.
I know how to set up scenario like this:
SAP System --- (non-SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (non-SNC conn) --- SAP GUI.

To be sure myself and Marek understand, can you confirm the different scenarios supported:
Scenario 1:
SAP GUI --- (non SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (non-SNC conn) --- SAP System
With this scenario, it would be possible for a user to logon using SAP GUI onto the SAP System, but without SAP GUI SNC.
Scenario 2:
SAP GUI --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (non SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (SNC conn) --- SAP System
With this scenario it would be possible to logon to the SAP System using SAP GUI, and using SNC authentication.
Also, with this scenario the SAP GUI software and SAP System software would consider this to be similar to:
SAP GUI -- (SNC conn) -- SAP System
Scenario 3:
This is the scenario mentioned by Marek in his initial question:
SAP GUI -- (SNC conn) -- saprouter1 -- (non SNC conn) -- SAP System
With this scenario it will not be possible to logon to SAP System using SNC, and only possible if the SAP GUI is configured to not use SNC. In other words the SNC connection between SAP GUI and saprouter1 is available, but cannot be used.

Difference with SMARTFORMS vs. SapScript(SE71)
The Following are the differences :-
a) Multiple page formats are possible in smartforms which is not the case in SAPScripts
b) It is possible to have a smartform without a main window .
c) Labels cannot be created in smartforms.
d) Routines can be written in smartforms tool.
e) Smartforms generates a function module when activated.
f) Unlike sapscripts (RSTXSCRP), you cannot upload/download Smartform to your local harddisk.
It was said that it was provided in CRM 3.0 version, but not available in R/3. You can download smartforms into Local PC in a XML format. In the same way you can upload this XML format into Smartform. From the smartform editor itself you can call download option, if you are working in CRM 3.0 environment.
In R3 also, you can download into XML format. However, it's not sure about uploading. Refer to the program 'SF_XSF_DEMO'.
In 4.7 Enterprise, other have seen this utlity which is completey missing in 4.6c. There is functionality to downlaod a complete form or only a particular node. (Utilities -> Download form). It will create a XML file and save it in the hard disk.
For others, if you want to download/upload the Smartforms source, you will need the help from the Basis people. What you can do is to create a Transport and then FTP down to your local harddisk. When you need the Smartform source in another system, you have FTP up the Smartforms file back to the SAP server. Finally, the Basis team, will tp it into your system.
g) The protect and endprotect command in sapscript doesn't work with smartforms. For example on a invoice: First data of position no 80. is printed on page one, other data of position no 80 is printed on page 2. And there's nothing you can do about it. Actually, there is something you can do about it. By using a folder node and checking the 'protect' checkbox, everything in that folder will be page protected.

SAP to non-SAP Communication Using Proxy Framwork

Hi all,
While searching for the connection option for the B2B collaboration between SAP and non-SAP business system, i found that there are two ways we can do it.
One using Adapters and another using Proxy Framework.
In our case We are on SAP Enterprise and non-SAP business partners are using I2, legacy system.
They are not using Rosettanet PIPS, so I can not use RNIF or any other adapter for the inbound or outbound operation.
My question is If we use proxy framework, what needs to be done at the non-SAP business system . Do we need to install proxy runtime and how does this proxy runtime will communicate with the application in non-SAP system.

You can use proxies for communicating with ABAP 6.20 systems and above and for J2EE applications.
For B2B communication you would normally use an adapter for example plain HTTP, SOAP or RNIF ...
An alternative is to install the XI PCK on the partner side. The PCK is essentially a standalone version of the XI Adapter Engine installed locally at the partner. Hello,
Currently would like to persue a SAP FI and CO course.
I m totally unaware of the SAP FI & CO course contents.
I have Syllabus covered by Siemens and Syllabus covered by private trainer.
Syllabus given by Siemen doesn't contain anything related to CO.
can anybody compare both of them and tell me what are the topics which are not covered by the private trainer ?
Your kind assistance will able me to take precise decision.

SAP Authentication issue in Xcelsius 2008 SP4

Ingo Can you help me?
Xcelsius 2008 SP4 Failed to Open/Save from BusinessObjects Enterprise and throws an error Failed While Trying to Logon User "0000" RFC error: "LOGON_DATA_INCOMPLETE" when using SAP Authentication.
It works perfect with Enterprise.
Recently we have upgraded from Xcelsius 2008 SP3 FP 3.5 to Xcelsius 2008 SP4. It also displays the password without encrypting.

It was working good with SAP Authentication when using Xcelsius 2008 SP3 FP3.5

Hi,
As a starting point, i would strongly recommend you standardise all your component versions.
from what i can see, you've just asserted that Server, Integration Kit, and Client are all on different Fix levels..
that's not a nice baseline on which to investigate!
Also, patching would also include importing the correct SAP Transports into your BW. (they change almost every FP)

How to get original message in web service implementation and proxy

Hi,
We have a java web service and its client (proxy) generated from WSDL by JDev wizards. All the parameters are mapped to classes, but we need a way to get the original message we send and receive in order to log it.
Is there any way to get the SOAP message that is being sent/received?

If you are using 10.1.3 or later releases, you can use the JAX-RPC handler to gain access to the message. Your SOAP payload can then been manipulated using the SAAJ APIs. You have also the option to log messages directly from OWSM.
