SAP HR Benefits and Payroll Integration

Hi All,
        This is the first time i am posting in HR, i am new to HR Benefits, i need to configure the Benefits and Payroll Integration in my client. I don't know how to do that one, if any body have configuration steps or any article please share with me.

Hi,
Under SPRO -> Payroll -> Country Payroll -> Benefits, are the options u must configure.
Be sure to create wage types copying the standard ones.
In this case is better that you copy wage types from the standard option
In table V_T512Z, select infotype 0167 to see permitted wage types, your new wage type must be in this group.
Value of the wage type will be automatically taken from the benefits cost configuration.
You must assign a wage type for a plan.

    We tried to go around this issue by creating a URL iView and then calling the URL iView from the SAP Backend. So instead of a valid URL we entered the location of the iView (ROLES://...) in the backend. This also, had the same result as before...The URL iView is launched, however the URL iView has the second URL.
    Not sure what is causing this...any ideas?

    Thanks for your reply! I created a resource with fields Window Properties populated with "_blank" and a URL specified in the URL of Resource Object field.  I then create a Service and assigned the Resource to Link Resource and chose "Direct Url launched in separate window" for the Service Type.  I then assigned the Service to the a Subarea. 
    The result was the link did not show up.  When I add the URL to "URL of PCD Page" and "Directory Path" in the Resource area the link shows up but does the above with the URL.

    Golive from Jan 2015, Enrollment starts during Mid Jan thru Portal, Deduction should happen thru next payroll run, We are closing the enrollment during Mid March 2015.
    Payroll runs in ADP, What settings to be done in SAP for deductions and postings, advise to ADP while sending PY data.
    Sequential integration check points and respective configuration steps will be helpful

  • Training, Time and Payroll Integration

    We are currently implementing SAP HCM in ECC 6.00 SP60
    Could you please clarify the following queries:
    1. How can i pay  Internal Instructor / Trainer for few Business Events through Payroll.
    When i create a internal trainer for a Business Event, automatically attendance type gets recorded in IT2002 based on below mentioned configuration, unfortunately for all business events only one attendance type for instructor and attendee gets recorded in IT2002
    SEMIN     AINST     0001     Attendance type for instructor in T554S
    SEMIN     APART     0002     Attendance Type for Attendance in T554S
    But is there any way where i can send different attendance types for different Business Events for a instructor /Trainer? So that in payroll i can query on the attendance type in IT2002 and pay him depending upon the attendance type.
    Else
    Is there any other way where i can pay the internal trainer automatically from TEM to Payroll?

  • SAP Archive Link and DMS integration configuration

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    I have always come across that SAP DMS is very well integrated with SAP Archive link, is that means SAP Archive link can be used as an storage location for storing original application files, in normal DMS check in original CV01N transaction.
    does this Archive link appear as an option to be selected to store the original application file at CV01N Transaction, just like we get DMS_C1_ST (default SAP) or any ZDMS_SC01/02 (customised Storage catagories for checking in originals.)
    another side iam also comming across SAP Archive link is an entierly different Module and involves different transactions to store documents and original.and no where related to DMS.
    iam not able to draw at any conclusion weather to suggest Archive link as an storage medium for DMS check in originals, as i have not used it earlier in DMS.
    Can this SAP Archive Link server be used as an sole and single original applicaion file storing system for DMS?
    if so will it support all the DMS funtionalities, if not what is this fully integrated means, is it limited to make an copy / transfer of excess DMS files in SAP Archive server from existing DMS server? iam confused
    please clarify.

    but my confusion is not yet solved.
    let me put it in a better way,
    1) You can store a document against a DIR with the GOS icon instead of in the originals area (called Document Archiving), i did not understand this solution please eloborate. where is this GOS icon in DIR,
    2) There is one thing in menu path: Environment / check in archive.
    so can we store originals in a Archive server directly by going in to the CV01N transaction.(iam not speaking about transferring Original already stored in a content server)
    3) we are having a single archive server to Archive SAP data, can This SAP Archive  server be used as an sole and single original  file storing system for DMS Also?
    4) if so will it support all the DMS funtionalities, if not what is this fully integrated means, is it limited to make an copy / transfer of excess DMS files in SAP Archive server from existing DMS server? iam confused to suggest this solution, as the client is not kneen on buying a separate server to store DMS files.

    How does the costing work when we have the OTL integrated with Projects and Payroll? (R12.2.4 functionality - Actual Costing)

    As explosion process is based on elements, it only applies to payroll. You can use this functionality with Projects and Payroll Timecard Layout, but project will get the non exploded hours.

  • SAP Business Workflow and Webservice Integration

    I have scenario in which I need to Integrate SAP Workflow with a Inhouse UI Application through Webservice.
    Design:
    I want to use the Workflow for Task management. However whenever user has to perform a event I want to push the work item into another inhouse application which has capability to invoke/receive webservice. The inhouse application should only perform user events and publish the message back to workflow. Work Item management will be done in SAP Workflow. I need to send the data container to and from SAP Workflow.
    Is there any problem in the above design?
    How can I achieve the same in SAP Workflow?
    Can any one share the experience?

    I would like to know as well about this, did you get an answer?

  • Brief discussion on SAP XI and its' Integration with SAP MDM.

    Hi,
    I have never worked on SAP XI.
    I am discussing it on brief, please give your valuable replies.
    SAP XI consists of System Landascape Directory(SLD).
    SLD Consists of Business System and Techinical System.
    Technical System contains all information about the software
    component. The Business System consists of Inbound and Outbound Business
    System which are used as logical names for data transfer.
    There is communication Channel for Receiver and Sender Business System and n agreement
    is signed between Sender and Receiver.
    Outbound Interface defined for Business System Outbound and Techical System associated
    with the Business System,
    Inbound Interface defined for Business System Inbound and Techical System associated
    with the Business System.
    In SAP NetWeaver XI Integration Directory, we have defined the Integration Scenarios,
    Actions, Interface Objects, Mapping Objects, Adapters Objects.
    Mapping Object defines the Structure and Value Mapping.
    Adapter Objects defines the Adapter program which implements RFC Adapter, FTP Adapter logic.
    FTP Adapter is used for XI-MDM Communication.
    RFC Adapter is used for XI-ECC Communication.
    Integration Repository: Both Outbound and Inbound Interfaces are Mapped with Value mapping and
    Structure Mapping inside Integration Repository.
    The File Adapter takes the File from the Outbound port of MDM System
    and sends it as IDOC to Receiver Business System.
    Value Mapping must be done between Sender and Receiver interfaces.
    Value Mapping is done by XSLT or Java based program.
    SAP NetWeaver XI Integration Server at runtime:
    Message Split, Interface Determination, Receiver Identifaction, Mapping, Techincal Routing
    and Call Adapter Proccess are done.
    In SAP XI 3.0 and MDM 5.5:
    Step 1: Create busines system as service.
    Step 2: Create communication channel for each business service. If the system can communicate
    through different channels, then create all possible channel types if necessary.
    Step 3: Create receiver agreement between the systems.
    Step 4: Interface determination:
    - Here you see for the first time the software component mentioned;
    there are some special requirements regarding this software component in relation to the customizing ID mapping.
    - To modify this software component, the customer needs to copy the SAP standard delivered software component
    into its own namespace. The customer is able to modify to create archives
    for the customized ID mapping.
    Receiver determination.
    Configure an FTP Server on the MDS.
    Create a send folder for outbound messages using outbound port(s) for
    remote systems(s).
    Create receive folder inbound messages using inbound port(s) for remote systems.
    This ia all about concept of SAP XI Infractsture and its' Integration with SAP MDM 5.5.

    Hi Kaushik,
    You must be aware of File types that MDM Import Manager can Import i.e. we have XML, Excel etc. Now there are two transactions to extract data from R3
    1. MDMGX -
             - For lookup table extraction
             - Output in XML format which MDM can import without using XI.
              - FTP can be configured to put the file in the desired folder which will be then picked by Import Server.
    2. MDM_CLNT_EXTR -
              - For Main table records.
              - Output is in Idoc format which MDM doesn't understand hence we need XI in between which converts Idoc file received from R3 into XML which can then be imported using Import Manager or Import Server. For this we need to implement XI Scenario that consists of Source System, Receiver System, Type of Data etc.
    Just a basic understanding...

    Benefits Integration with Payroll is quite easy. Just follow the steps given below .
    Once you finish configuring benefits module. 
    Goto:   SPRO - Payroll- Payrollusa - Benefits integration
    Step1 :  In Create wage type catalog
                Create wage types from sap delivered wage types for  employee pretax, employee post tax,         
                employer contribution, provider wage type.
    Step 2: In Enter wage types for plans
                Assign the created wage types to you health plans which you have creted in benefits. You can
                find your plans in this step you just need to assign the created wage types in the fields.
    Step 3: Assign deduction model
                This is tricky. you need to goto to the following step to create a deduction model first and then
                 come to this step to assign it.
            The step to go and create deduction model is:
             SPRO - Payroll - Payrollusa - Deductions - deduction frequencies
                 sub step 1: Generate a calender for payment model first
                 Sub step 2: Create a payment model.
    Now come to  SPRO - Payroll- Payrollusa - Benefits integration - assign deduction model
                     Assign the deduction model in this step to all your plans. Configure the feature  MODDE beside it too. The varkey is same as payment model.
    In the same way create wage types for insurance, savings, FD's and perform the steps.
    Now your benefits is integrated with payroll. Rum payroll and check it out.

  • Fusion OTL and EBS Payroll - Integration

    Hi
    I have a client who currently has EBS for OTL and Payroll, and is thinking about moving OTL to the cloud (along with other HR modules). They are unable to move Payroll to cloud at the moment because Australian legislation is not yet available in Fusion Payroll. My questions are around integration:
    1) Is there currently in built integration that brings in Time entered by employees from Fusion to EBS Payroll for payment? Does it work similarly to the EBS process 'Transfer Time From OTL to BEE Batch' in that it will create Batch element entries in Payroll?
    2) I am assuming I will need to setup Alternate names and link them to Payroll elements in Fusion Time and Labor, is there a process that gets the available elements from EBS payroll to Fusion?

    I am not sure about standard interface, but you can achieve same using below method.
    Outbound (Fusion to EBS ) interface : HCM Extract
    Inbound (EBS to fusion) interface : FIle Based Loader
