SAP Inter company PO Checking rule and commitment date

Hello there,
I am trying to understand the commitment Qty and commitment Date on the NB type PO between two different plants.
I have a setup where my Plant1 buys from Plant2 and Plant1 takes 100 days to get it from Plant2.
Plant2 will source it from Vendor1 and takes 200 days for the Vendor1 to supply to Plant2.
Plant 2 does not have any stock today, the stock from Vendor 1 will arrive only on 6/10/2015, there is an Open PO for Vendor2 for GR will be done on 6/10/2015. So on 6/10/2015, there will be a stock of 2500 units.
No other requirement exists in MD04 for this material in Plant 2.
Plant1 is raising a PO for Vendor Plant2 on 3/27/2015 for 1000 units. The planned delivery date is 100 days on Plant1 Material Master. So the delivery day is shown on PO is 100 days from now which is 7/5/2015.
Considering the fact that Plant2 is receiving 2500 on 6/10/2015, why wont SAP commit to the Qty. When I do the availability check, it does not consider the 2500 units coming in from PO and from CO09. The checking rule does not consider the Purchase Order Qty.
Now, here is where I need clarification.
The checking rule says not to consider Purchase Order in the in/out movement, So when I play around with this check I was able to commit the Qty on the PO. When I take out the check it will not commit the Qty and puts the commitment date based on the Plant 2 planned delivery time ( the time Plant 2 takes to buy it from the supplier).
It makes sense so far, however when excluding Purchase order to be considered for my purchase order availability check and when I remove the 200 days from Plant2 material masters planned delivery date and then create a purchase order, my PO is committing the QTY, how is this explained? or am i having some bad setup somewhere.
Same exact checking rule i.e excluding purchase order, everything else constant.
Scenario 1: Qty committed on PO when Planned Delivery time on Plant2 is zero days
Scenario 2: Qty not committed on PO when Planned Delivery time on Plant2 is 200 days
Can someone assist me to understand this. thank you

Anyone thoughts? thanks

  • Inter company process without delivery and billing

    Dear All,
My client needs to do inter company process without delivery and billing. So I have done inter company process same as like intra company transfer.
I have used document type NB.During MIGO i got a error "No accounts maintained for  company code clearing account.
So in OBYA we have maintained Inventory account and clearing account.Since it is cross company code transaction we need the G/L 900150 to get nullified.
Example: 470001- Inventory account credit in paying company code and clearing account 900150 debit in same company code
    Company code- X
    470001 Dr
    900150 Cr
900150 Dr---the clearing account will be shown in balance sheet so this account has to be nullified
900150 Cr---the clearing account will be shown in balance sheet so this account has to be nullified.
    Company code Y
    900150 Dr
    470001 Cr
But in OBYA there is possibility to assign only two GL accounts, but the client requires the above entries to be passed. Where can i assign the third GL in OBYA or any other possibilities.
I have already posted in MM.
Please help me to solve this issue

  • Oracle Error occured, while checking for Already Committed data

    Hi,
In my 1 day old workspace I see more than 3000 errors logged in the owb_error_log_table with text as shown below , can someone from Oracle please advise what the problem seems to be ?
Oracle Error occured, while checking for Already Committed data : 76291.DBObject.TABLE_1.2.en_GB
Oracle Error occured, while checking for Already Committed data : 76291.DBObject.TABLE_1.1.en_GB

Oracle Error occured, while checking for Already Committed data : 42483.PlatformConfiguration.ORACLE.2.en_GB
There are many more examples of other errors as well. Google returns nothing for these error....am I the first one to face these errors. We are using 11gRelease2 on RHEL.
They all have a error text of ORA-01403: no data found
    tks in advance.

I haven't been able to pin it down to a specific action that causes these errors. I have been having various other problems when importing tables ...the screen just freezes and nothing happens. When I queried this table from sql developer to check if I can spot anything and I found these errors.
The screen freezes when I add a new oracle location - the test works fine - but when I click OK to the add oracle location screen it just freezes and nothing happens.

  • Statistics-relevant delivery date and Committed date in Stock Transport Ord

    Dear Friends,
Kindly tell me how the System Calculate  the Statistics-relevant delivery date and Committed date in Stock Transport Order.
    Thanks & Regards
    T.Arulvanan

    Hi Jürgen,
in the Include MM06EFET_ETT_FUELLEN there is following coding:
    IF NOT im_sd_scheduling IS INITIAL.
            PERFORM ett_sd_scheduling USING 'X' 'X' eket *eket
                                      CHANGING eketdata_sd.
    In the FORM ETT_SD_SCHEDULING
    there is the following coding:
Datum oder Uhrzeit geändert --> Versandterminierungsdaten zurücksetzen
      CLEAR c_eketdata_sd.
    Lieferdatum und Uhrzeit setzen
      c_eketdata_sd-eindt = i_eketn-eindt.
      c_eketdata_sd-uzeit = i_eketn-uzeit.
So the internal table c_eketdata_sd is cleared and only the delivery date and time are updated, but not the statistc relevant date.
It seems to me like standard behaviour of SAP.
    Best regards

  • Doubts in statistic Delivery Date and Commited Date in STO PO

    Hi,
I would like to know statistic delivery date and Commited Delivery date in STO PO.
    2 different type of date is displaying STO PO like;
    1. We are getting statistic delivery as "09.02.9999" and Commited Date as "09.02.2011"
    2. 1. We are getting statistic delivery as "09.02.9999" and Commited Date as "09.02.9999"
Could you explain, where we are maintiang those date and how it is displaying in PO Delivery schedule line?
    Thanks.
    Dhanush.

When you create a PO, then the statistical delivery date is set equally to the delivery date.
the statistical delivery date is automatically changed if you change the delivery date before you have outputted the PO.
After you outputted the PO, the statistical delivery date has to be changed manually by the user if he changes the delivery date.
the idea behind this is because of the vendor evaluation, the vendor evaluation is done with the statistical delivery date.
as long you have not printed/faxed/mailed the PO to your vendor, then the statistical delivery date is changed automatically with a delivery date change.
But after a transmission you always have to ask yourself, who is responsible for the change in the delivery date.
If it is you, then you have to change the statistical delivery date to the new delivery date manually, to avoid that the vendor gets valuated against the wrong delivery date. But if it is because the vendor cannot meet the delivery date, then you change the delivery date to have an accuracy for planning, but you keep the old date in the statistical delivery date to valuate the vendor against it.

  • Material Staging date and Committed Date

    Deal all,
At the outset,Wish you a very happy new year.
As per my understanding the material staging date should always be equal to Committed date in the Delivery schedule of the PO. Also the pick date in the delivery would be the staging date of the PO.
In which scenario, the staging date could differ to the committed date? What may be the reasons to have different staging and committed date in PO?
    Appreciate your speedy responce.
    Regards,
    Shashidhar

it would not make much sense to have 2 fields for staging date and committed date if they should  always be equal.
The F1 help of each field describes it already a little bit more.
Staging date is the date by which sufficient quantities of the item must be available for picking to begin.
Dependend on the volume that must be picked and staged it can take days to have everything in the staging area so that it can be delivered from there.
In the customizing of shipping point you can enter days/hours needed for picking and packing.

  • Inter-Company STO Transfer Price and Invoice

  • Committed quantity and committed date in STO

    Hello friends,
How and on what basis the committed quantity, committed dates updates in STO delivery schedule tab while doing the STO.
    Regards,
    Cherryk

    Cherry,
During configuration of STO's, an availability check is assigned (IMG > MM > Purchasing > Purchase order  > Set up Stock transport order > Assign delivery type and checking rule).
Because of this, during the creation of a STO, the system will perform an availability check for the material in the source plant.  The results of this ATP are the two fields that you have mentioned.  Zero in committed quantity means that the  ATP check found no material available, according to the ATP check you have assigned, on the date you have proposed.  A quantity less the entire quantity of the STO indicates that only a portion of the STO requirements was found to be available on the proposed date in the supplying plant.
Any time the committed quantity is less than the entire quantity of the STO, it means there is no assurance that there will be product available when the day comes to actually create the delivery note and PGI the STO.
Any time a requirement is not committed during an ATP check, the possibility also then exists that other requirements in the supplying plant (such as new sales orders, or new production order dependent requirements) may take stock that you intended for use in your STO.  It is always wise (but not mandatory)  to manipulate your STOs so that committed qty  = delivery qty.

  • Void check - amount and issue date

We do FCHX check extract to send the positive pay files to Bank. With FCHX, the issue date and amount is not getting extracted for voided checks. How can we populate these values (issue date and amount) in the file extract (FCHX) for check
The data in the file is sorted according to account number and check number and its format corresponds to the internal format of the DTACHKH and DTACHKP structures.
    Thanks

    Hi,
We can void a issued check and also unissued check.
For unissued check, there will not be any amount and issue date. So no porbs.
For the the issued scenario, bank just need infomration about the voided check number only, irrespective of amounts and issue date as per the standard practise is concerned.
May be this information will not be useful to you...just to confirm...

  • Confirm date and Commitment date

    Hi all,
What is Commitment date and Confirm date and what are the differences between both .
    Thanks in advance

Commitment date is the date on which the goods or materials have been promised/committed to deliver.
Confirmed date is the date on which the goods/materails was delivered or received.

  • Deferred Accounting Rule  and start date

    Hell Folks,
I am facing some issues with deferred revenue and accounting rules.
    Here is the scenario
    1. We sell renewal maintenance to our customers in advance. So our sales team can sell renewal maintenances for duration 05/08 to 05/09.
    2. The payment terms are advance or net 30
    3. But we want to defer the revenue recognition for these till the start of the service. That is we should start recognizing the revenue starting 05/08.
    4. The accounting rule used for this purpose is 12 Fiscal Months.
Now my problem is , the 12 Fiscal Months starts recognizing the revenue from the of receipt. But we want to defer this start recognizing from 05/08 as explained above.
how can we achieve this ?
ANy help will be very appreciated.
    Rgds,
    Venkatesh

    Hi Nagamohan,
Credit Memo is applied to invoice line with deferred rule.
If I issue credit memo on 18-JUN-08 with LIFO against a Invoice line which uses "Daily Revenue - All Periods" rule, the distributions show
GL Date - Dr - Cr - Amount
    17-FEB-09 REV UNEARN 0.77
    17-MAR-09 REV UNEARN 39.07
    16-MAR-09 REV UNEARN 20.16
The above amounts are exactly the reverse distributions as in Original Invoice line.
I was expecting the same thing to happen in Deferred Fixed rule, but the only difference is for Fixed rule I cannot populate Rule_End_Date through Autoinvoice or manually.

  • Mass clearing of inter company open line items

    Hi all,
we are trying to do a mass clearing ig inter company open line items and wanted to setup a program in SAP to expedite the process. Currently we are using F-03 to manually clear the open line items. We wanted to make things simple where we could simply give SAP a set of parameters so it will know what to clear and where to offset.
Do u have any idea what they need ?
    please advise.
    thanks.

  • Inter-company expenses

    Hi all,
    Consider the example:
Assume that there are 3 companies belonging to the same business group, represented as 3 different company codes, say A, B & C, in the same SAP system [P01].
Now, company A incurs expenses on behalf of companies B & C say travel expenses of the MDs of companies B & C.
    CASE 1:
Inter-company clearing accounts are set-up between the company codes in the SAP system [P01] and hence Inter-company posting of expenses happen as below:
    Books of A:
    Dr Inter-company B A/c 5
    Dr Inter-company C A/c 5
Cr Bank / Vendor for expenses 10
    Books of B:
    Dr MD's Travel exps A/c 5
    Cr Inter-company A A/c  5
    Books of C:
    Dr MD's Travel exps A/c 5
    Cr Inter-company A A/c  5
Can anyone let me know the relevant program through which this functionality has been enabled in SAP FI.
    CASE 2:
Assume that company A is on an SAP system [P02] that is different from that of the other company codes B & C [P01].
Now, taking the same example as above, is it possible to use the same standard SAP inter-company functionality in FI to post the inter-company expenses from company A to companies B & C?
Is there is any other alternative solution ?
    Some gyan please..
    Bhargav

    Hello,
You can post the cross company code postings even between two controlling areas. The system does not prevent to post documents between two company codes in two controlling area. Need not necessarily they should be under one operating concern. Provided you have to make sure that you have followed the following points:
In OBY6 - To company codes must be assigned to same Company, meaning that you mus thave created a Company and that company must have been assigned to these two company codes.
OBYA - You should maintain the clearing accounts in both the company codes. Meaning that you are posting one leg in one company code and the other leg in the other company. Therefore, it is required to have the missing legs in each company code.
    Company Code1 - Posting Key 40 - Clearing Account
    Company Code1 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
    Company Code2 - Positng Key 40 - Clearing Account
    Company Code2 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
OB08 - In case if the two company codes have different local (company code) currencies, you may maintain the exchange rates.
You can now go to F-02 and post a cross company code transaction giving the first leg in first company code and the second leg in second company code. Missing leg in the first company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA and the missing leg in the second company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA. That means you will have four line items overall.
The system will post three document.
Document 1 in First Company Code
Document 2 in Second Company Code
    and
Document3 - Cross Company Code Document.
The cross company code document consists of the first company code document number plus company code plus last two digits of the fiscal year.
Hope this must have clarified your doubts.
Please let me know in case if you need further details.
    Thanks,
    Ravi
