SAP-J2EE (root) node Security Provider

I changed the SAP-J2EE (root) node to "ticket" now I can't seem to get into the Visual Administrator.  I wouldn't think this would affect Visual Adminstrator?
Is there a way to change things back via a command line interface?

Rohit,
Did you install as a double stack or add-in installation? Or did you install as a standalone AS Java?
Depending on what kind of installation you did determines what the default users you have.
See the following from the AS Java Security Guide:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/9f/d770424edcc553e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
Naturally this is just the default installation. If these users have been deleted since installation, you have to adjust accordingly.
As to which datasource which data source is default also depends on how you installed AS Java. You have the correct data source for the AS Java as stand alone. Depending on what version you originally installed, the double-stack/add-in default data source may be dataSourceConfiguration_abap.xml.
Changing the data source won't help you if you cannot find the guest user though.

  • Security Provider(JAAS chaine module)logging with SAP J2EE Agent Policy 2.2

    Hello,
    I have installed and configured a SAP J2EE Policy Agent 2.2 on a SAP J2EE Application Server 7.0 and installed an opensso 8.0.
    I have configured and deployed a jsp application with the descriptor containing the agent filter on the SAP J2EE.
    I have configured the security provider (based on JAAS) as follows:
    EvaluateTicketModule
    AmSAPWASLoginModule
    CreateTicketLoginModule
    I have then increased the severity check of logging on the SAP J2EE Application Server for:
    com.sap.security.server.jaas
    com.sap.engine.services.security
    But since the installation of the agent, I am not able to see the logs of the different logon modules and be sure that the CreateLoginModule has been done.
    I need to check that after the success of the agent login module, it goes through the CreateTicketLoginModule, how can I check that.
    Thanks,
    Tanguy Mezzano

  • How to create one more server node for SAP J2EE server?

    Hi,
    Can any one please suggest how to create one more server node for SAP J2EE server? I am using WAS700.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Smriti.

    Hai,
          Login into the Configtool(C:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS<inst no>\j2ee\configtool) if ABAP+JAVA stack or C:\usr\sap\SID\JC<inst no>\j2ee\configtool) if JAVA stack
    click on the instance and and select the addserver button on the top to create a servernode for J2EE server.

  • J2EE "Security Provider" not updating

    Hello All,
    I am currently running XI 3.0 with SP14.  I can not get the J2EE engine to update with the users on the ABAP side.  Here is what I have run tried:
    1.  The "Assign Applications Roles to user groups" button says it is successful but no users are added and no roles assigned.
    2.  I verified in the "UME Provider" that it is pointing to "dataSourceConfiguration_r3_roles_db.xml"
    3.  SLDCHECK is successful.
    4.  "http://server:50000/CPACache/refresh?mode=full" returns succesfull.
    5.  I have started and stopped the system several times.
    6.  I have ran all check programs with success (AKA SPROX_CHECK_IFR_ADDRESS, and so on...)
    7.  the XISUPER user can log into the Int. Builder and Int. Directory.
    Ok so I could create the users in the ABAP and the J2ee side but I do not watn to manage both places.  Is there anything else I can check??
    Please Help i am at a stand still.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Paul

    Thanks you very much for teh quick responce Moorthy.  I am afraid that I have went over much of this while trying to resolve the issue.  I am currently not having a problem with the SLD:
    /people/sunita.gadapu2/blog/2005/03/04/resolving-sld-authentication-problem
    "Solution: This can be solved by manual assignment of security roles to the user groups. Open Visual Admin and go to Server->Services->SLD Data Supplier and go to tab HTTP Settings. Then click on this"
    I have done this and this is the part that is broken.  After doing this I go the the "Security Provider" in the Visual Admin and I do not see any of the users that I have created on the ABAP side...  When I do this in my working DEV system I see all the ABAP users and the roles/groups are assigned to them.
    I created a user in the ABAP side but he does not show up in the Security Provider part of the J2EE.  I am sure it is something very small that I have to find but I am running out of places to look.
    Thanks again Moorthy, do you have any other suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Applying PL19 for SAP J2EE 6.20  for a Single Node

    We are trying to upgrade from EP6 SP2 patch 2 to patch 3.
    A pre-req for applying Patch3 is that we need to be at PL19. Turns out we are in between PL16 and  PL17 from a SAP J2EE 6.20 standpoint.
    We managed to download SAPJ2EE620C_19-10001433.SAR the SAR file for getting the SAP J2EE 6.20 from PL16+ to PL19.
    On reading SAP Note 529088 ( that helps you with installing the SAR file ) it seems "SAPJ2EE620C..." the 'C" in the SAR file name denotes that it is for a Cluster Node. We have a Single node install. For which we ought to see a 'S' in that place. On Service.sap.com we dont know of a place where we can find the .SAR file that we may need for a single node version.
    We  went ahead and ran the visual.bat and that brought up a screen meant for a cluster version.
    It has been two days since we have working on this.
    Anybody has any idea/experience with what we are taking about. Please help.
    thanx for your help.
    rj.

    Hi rj,
    If you have installed EP6 SP2, you have installed the Clustered Version of J2EE (dispatcher, server, state(pl21)).  The Single node was used for EP5.  I believe you are getting this terminology confused with a clustered install of EP6 for HA purposes where the actual application piece is clustered.  So even an EP6 install running on a single server runs on a the J2EE Engine Cluster.
    So if you ran the visual.bat for PL19 and the portal started up fine, you have successfully upgraded your J2EE version to PL 19.  Just a quick hint, when you are running the patch install, select upgrade and put in the path to your instance (i.e. c:\usr\sap\DEP1\j2ee\j2ee_00).
    Hope this helps to clarify,
    Marty

  • J2EE Security Provider Service in NWA on 7.10?

    Hi,
    In versions up to 7.0, there was a J2EE Security Provider Service which could be configured in Visual Administrator to control fine-grained security between deployed components on the system. I cannot find anything similar in NetWeaver Administrator in 7.1. Has this become obsolete or am I overlooking something?
    Thanks,
    Thorsten

    Hi,
    NWA -> Configuration Management -> security -> authentication
    here you can find the required policy configurations

    Hi!
    If instance.properties is not there your installation has not finished correctly. This file is the central point of information for the bootstrap, which retrieves the info on how to connect to the database to collect the infos for the system startup (which will then overwrite your instance.properties file with the most recent values from the DB).
    Please check if instance.properties has been deleted and can maybe be restored from tape or if there was an error in the installation.
    Regards,
    Jörg

    Hi,

    I have't not changed any passwords of db users like SAPJ2EDB but i don't know why i am getting this error suddenly.
    Can anyone throw light on this issue.

    Hi Detlev,
    The DB (SQL 2000) is started and i have verified through
    Window service console and SQL Server Service Manager.
    Even the Config tool (i.e offline tool) is throwing the following error message when started.

    1)is it due to mismatch of the passwords of the user SAPJ2EDB in database and J2EE Engine and Securestore of config tool
    2)is there some DB related problem ?
    3)i think the problem is similar to this one
    Netweaver's WebAS SDM process goes corrupt, exitcode=66
    But the solution there is not so clear
    4)After i changed the password both in the database as well as in configtool >Secure Tool>/jdbc/pool/J2E/password..but i am getting java.sql.SQLException: [DataDirect][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Invalid object name 'J2EE_CONFIG' this error.
    Any idea on what needs to be done to fix this problem

  • NWDS Webdynpro deploy: Cannot login to the SAP J2EE Engine using ......

    Friends,
    I am getting the following error while deploying a web dynpro application through NWDS.
    Aborted: development component 'WebDynpro_ErrorBehavior'/'local'/'LOKAL'/'0.2007.05.29.17.02.04'/'1':Cannot login to the SAP J2EE Engine using user and password as provided in the Filesystem Secure Store. For more information, see SAP note 701654.com.sap.sdm.serverext.servertype.inqmy.extern.DeployManagerAuthExceptionWrapper: Wrong security credentials detected while trying to obtain connection to the J2EE Engine. (message ID: com.sap.sdm.serverext.servertype.inqmy.extern.EngineApplOnlineDeployerImpl.checkLoginCredentials.DMAUTHEXC)
    I get this error after I supply the SDM password which NWDS asks before deploying.
    Can someone guide?

    Thanks

    In the additonal error log it says-
    Unable to compare host[px1db] and host[x900704] Throwable: java.net.UnknownHostException Throwable message: x900704: x900704
    where px1db is my portal server and x900704 is my localmachine name.
    I dont know why it says so ...In NWDS i have configured only px1db.
    any thoughts.

  • Running ssl client from multiple applications fails in Sap j2ee engine

    There are two applications making ssl connections to third party.
    At a time only one application is able to make connection while other
    throws error message <b>"No trusted certificate found".</b>
    Currently we have  two j2ee applications running in SAP j2ee server. Both applications makes ssl connection to third party servers. Lets call first application as A1 and second application as A2.
    A1 is an internet shopping application . It makes ssl connection to third party services at two places . One is while fetching the shipping charges from UPS site.
    Code Snippet:
    java.security.Security.addProvider(new com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider());
    System.getProperties().put("java.protocol.handler.pkgs", "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol");
    String lo_url = new URL("https://wwwcie.ups.com/ups.app/xml/Rate");
    lo_connection = (URLConnection) lo_url.openConnection();
    At other place A1 connects to cybersource service using webservice +ssl  for credit card authentication using cybersource API. It uses certificate in p12 format.
    Code Snippet:
    com.cybersource.ws.client.axis.soap.RequestMessage lo_requestMessage = new  com.cybersource.ws.client.axis.soap.RequestMessage();
    Properties lo_cybsProperties = new Properties();
    lo_cybsProperties.setProperty("merchantId","arvato");
    lo_cybsProperties.setProperty("merchantRefCode","1234")
    lo_requestMessage.setMerchantID( "arvato");
    lo_requestMessage.setMerchantReferenceCode( "1234" );
    lo_cybsProperties.setProperty("cybersourceURL","https://ics2wstest.ic3.com/commerce/1.x/transactionProcessor");
    lo_cybsProperties.setProperty("keysDir", "./WEB-INF/config");
    lo_requestMessage.setBillTo(setBillToAddress(po_mdsBillingAddress) );
    // add ship to address
    lo_requestMessage.setShipTo(setShipToAddress(po_mdsShiToAddress));
    lo_requestMessage.setPurchaseTotals( setPurchaseTotal() );
    //set cc details
    lo_requestMessage.setCard( setCardDetails(po_mdsCreditCard) );
    Set Items and total tax calculation
    lo_replyMessage = com.cybersource.ws.client.axis.soap.Client.runTransaction( lo_requestMessage, lo_cybsProperties );
    A2 Application
    This application connects to Motorola secured web service to fetch details of mobile hand set. It uses keystore to create ssl connection with Motorola webservice.
    Code Snippet
    try {
    TrustManager[] trustAllCerts = new TrustManager[]{
    new X509TrustManager() {
    public java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] getAcceptedIssuers() {
              return new java.security.cert.X509Certificate[0];
         public void checkClientTrusted(java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) {}
    public void checkServerTrusted(
    java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) {
    SSLContext sc = SSLContext.getInstance("SSL");
    sc.init(null, trustAllCerts, new java.security.SecureRandom());
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore","SapWSM.keystore");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword","xxxx");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore","SapWSM.keystore");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword","xxxx");
    Problem Cases :
    Case 1
    Step 1 : Server starts
    Step 2 : User access A1 first
    Step3: A1 Connects to UPS using https (It is able to connect)
    Step4: A1 connects to cybersource using webservice+ssl  (It is able to connect)
    Step 5: Another user access A2
    Step6: A2 tries connection to Motorola webservice over ssl
    Result connectivity fails with description "No trusted certificate found".
    Case2
    Step 1 : Server starts
    Step 2 : User access A2 first
    Step3:  A2 tries connection to Motorola webservice over ssl (It is able to connect)
    Step 5: Another user access A1
    Step6: A1 connects to cybersource using webservice+ssl
    Result connectivity fails with description "No trusted certificate found".
    Case3
    Step 1 : Server starts
    Step 2 : User access A2 first
    Step3:  A2 tries connection to Motorola webservice over ssl (It is able to connect)
    Step 5: Another user access A1
    Step6: A1 connects to  UPS using ssl
    Result connectivity fails with description "No trusted certificate found".

    Hi Please answer my query it is really <b>
    urgen
    t</b> and we are not able to run both the applications in same server

  • How to change a generated root node for a hierarchy?

    Hello,
    we are loading hierarchies from an ECC system. Some of those hierarchies don't have a root node in the source system.
    For those hierarchies, the root node is generated during the loading. This node is generated in english (ie : FUNDS CENTER HIERARCHY for fund centers). Is there a way to change the description and the technical name of this node to have it in another language.
    We have tryied to change the language of ALEREMOTE in BI but it did not solve this problem.
    Thanks,
    Philippe

    Hi Simon,
    the language that triggered the loading was french.
    BI Learner,
    - to create a custom hierarchy in a BI system, you can use RSH1 transaction.
    - if you want to load it from a SAP source system, you can use standard datasource provided in the business content (usually named *_HIER)
    -if you need to load it from a flat file, you can follow the steps of this blog, it will help you:
    Hierarchy Upload from Flat files
    you can have more information about hierarchies on the help.sap web site :

  • Error in security provider logon stack: no logon to visual administrator

    Probably i made a mistake in configuring SAP-J2EE-Engine security provider login modules.
    Now i cannot logon to Visual Administrator, it tells me
    "Error while connecting
    com.sap.engine.services.security.exceptions.BaseLoginException: Access Denied."
    Is there a way to reset login module stack from configtool or in some config file?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Simone Zaffalon

    Hi
    you can configure your login stack configuration using config tool. Config tool works locally against the server's database, thus no authentication is required.
    1. Be sure that your server is not running! (shutdown SAP J2EE processes)
    2. Launch config tool ("use default db settings").
    3. switch to configuration editor mode (the most-right icon in the icon toolbar)
    4. navigate to security-->configurations
    Here you find your logon stacks and the login modules contained within them. Click on the "pencil" icon for changing your current configuration.
    See the thread below .It will resolve your issue
    Unable to access Visual Admin
    Points are welcome if it is helpful

    I´m working with Delphi 2007 for Win32 Enterprise and I´m using Delphi to make a client to consuming one SAP (J2EE) WebService, but, there is a problem with my Delphi´s client. The SAP show one error:
    001B784233A4004A000000030000195400043C12D73325C4 : Found 0 operation definitions using keys: Key name:'first-body-element-ns' key value:'urn:WS_SGVTesteWsd/WS_SGVTesteVi/document'; Key name:'SoapRequestWrapper' key value:'chamadaDevolucao';
    PS: I made a Java Client that work very well.

    Hi Christoph,
    let me summarize:
    You don't want to consume an external Webservice with B1if as I assumed first.
    Your plan is to consume a Webservice - provided by B1if -  with an external PHP based program (such a scenario is described in this youtube video).
    So as prerequisite you followed the guidance by Yatsea and did the following:
    You created a scenario in B1if using Web Service Inbound, and defined an output in atom0.
    You created a test inbound file and tested the scenario in the integration flow
    (existing testfile and successful test run is prerequisite to genrate XSD).
    You activated the scenario in the setup.
    You created a XSD and a WSDL via the B1if Scenario setup.
    You used the self-created WSDL for your test with the external program
    The Webservices provided by B1if are per default in SOAP format, so you need to handover the following structure:
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
      <SOAP-ENV:Body>
       <root>
      </root>
      </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    The service method is identified by the root tag of SOAP Request.
    Did you already try to consume the B1if Web Service via WFetch or SOAP UI successfully or do you have the same problems as with your PHP application?
    Do you have your generated WSDL available?
    Best regards
    Bastian
