SAP PM T codes IH01 & IH03 default selection change

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how can I change default selected parameters of transaction codes IH01 & IH03 without variant option?
E.g. I want to have checked or selected Installed equipment selection option of IH01 or IH03.
I do not want to use variant for this.

Hi Kedar,
As earlier suggested, variant option is a solid part for selection variant.
Let me tell you some info if you about to change SAP_TCODE_IH01 variants?
All reporting transaction will have a standard variant which starts with SAP... if you about to do any changes, it will affect globally. So normally clients prefer to keep this variant as blank. So any kind of users can use this variant to get datas.
Also they will maintain additional global variant, which you create by keeping \ in front of the varint name. They will create varint with respect to their requirement.
Highly recommeded is to keep the Stnadard variant globally and create new variant for different purpose.

I have a simple solution for this.i think it will help you.Do u have any idea about query designer in SAP.
by using it we can satisfy u r reuqirement.follow the below steps.
1)Go to SQ01
2)In the screen click on QuickViewer option.then you will go to another screen.
3)In that screen give any name starting with 'Z' in the QuickView box and then click on create.
4)In the dialogbox enter title and comments and then select LogicalDatabase as the DATASOURCE and give DataSourceLogicalDatabase as EQI.check the radio button Basis Mode and then click on ok.
5)then on the screen in the first half of leftside you will get another screen with the columns DATAFIELDS,LISTFIELDS,SELECTIONFIELDS,TECHNICALNAME.
6)In the DATAFIELDS column expand the tree,then u can see the fields what we have,and what you want.and also you can see the check boxes in front of the columns LISTFIELDS,SELECTIONFIELDS.
7)LISTFIELDS means the output fields,SELECTIONFIELDS means the selection screen fields(equnr).
check the checkboxes as per u r requirement and click on execute.
8)then a progam will be created.to know the program name after executing the program GO TO
SYSTEM->STATUS.then u can see the program name there.

To use logical database PNP in your program, specify in your program attributes.
Standard Selection Screen
Date selection
Date selection delimits the time period for which data is evaluated. GET PERNR retrieves all records of the relevant infotypes from the database. When you enter a date selection period, the PROVIDE loop retrieves the infotype records whose validity period overlaps with at least one day of this period.
Person selection
Person selection is the 'true' selection of choosing a group of employees for whom the report is to run.
Sorting Data·
The standard sort sequence lists personnel numbers in ascending order.
· SORT function allows you to sort the report data otherwise. All the sorting fields are from infotype 0001.
Report Class
· You can suppress input fields which are not used on the selection screen by assigning a report class to your program.
· If SAP standard delivered report classes do not satisfy your requirements, you can create your own report class through the IMG.

Search Button in IH01/IH03 Not active

Hi Experts,
In E.C.C 6.0 version i find that the search button in IH01/IH03 -Structure display appears as Grayed and is inactive.
I think my changing the parameter PM_TREE_INACTIVE = X in Parameter settings for a user, it can be made active.But my question is how to get the same active for all the users as a default or is it possible to make this setting globally applicable instead of user specific.
Fast response will be appreciated.

Hi,
You can use the parameter mentioned per user but there is no global setting. Some information in note [642753|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/642753].
Parameter could be set in SU01 for each user and into you reference user so automatically set when new users created. Maybe there is a Basis function to mass update user parameters but I don't know.

Default selection on programmatically created UIPickerView

I'm learning Obj-C for iOS 4 apps. This's what I've done so far...
Created a TextField. At 'textFieldShouldBeginEditing' event, I'm creating a dynamic PickerView with my entries, and returning NO to skip the default keyboard.
I've also made my UIViewController as <UIPickerViewDelegate, UIPickerViewDataSource>.
Till here, I'm good. The pickerview is showing up and on selecting a record, I'm removing it after setting the textfield with the selected key.
The problem now is as follows:
During initial load, my textfield has some text, and I'd like to set the pickerview created to the default selection of that same text. I know I can do a selectRow call, but what I'm not able to figure out is when?
While the pickerview is being created, it doesn't have any values. The values are filled in later in the DataSource (titleForRow) method, one by one. Now when (at what event/point) should I be able to set the selected row of the dynamic pickerview?

This means, If is is not able to find text symbol it will display the default specified in program source code.,
So., as for DE the text symbol is not there so it displays the parameter name in program source code.,
maintain it in DE through translation as described above in my earlier reply.,

You could also set the default on your entity or viewobject, in the properties of your attribute.

How to change default selection in compensation planning

Hi experts,
We have upgraded our portal to EHP1 sp04.
I need to change the default selection which it currently shows in "Employee Selection" under
Compensation Planning-->Compensation Planning.
When a user clicks on Compensation Planning>Compensation PLanning> he comes in an iview with 4 steps:
There is one "Employee Selection" scroll down view, I need the default to be "Direct Reports"

Go into SPRO>integration with other sap system>business packages>mysaperp>organizational structure view
group organizational structure view.
select mss_ecm_sel and change the nos. accordingly.

Hi durga prasad,
Radio Button Group By Key will get the values from domain of the data element used in attribute which is binded to Radio Button Group By Key property 'selectedKey' .
That is why we don't have any code in wd_do_init method.
So you need to go to the domain and check the domain value of the data element used, and then set the default value of your interest in existing standard program using WDDOINIT---> Post Exit method as said by Naveen and Abhijeet.
You have to set the attribute binded to Radio Button Group By Key property 'selectedKey' with same domain value you want to set as default.

I might be missing something obvious here but here goes...
Is there a way to set a default selection variant (e.g. for transaction code ME57 (RM06BZ00)) by user? Do I have to program this or is there any easier way?

Taking Rob's idea a little further, you could write a wrapper program and assign it to transaction code ZME57. Here is the code for the wrapper program.
report zrich_0001 .
start-of-selection.
data: report type rsvar-report value 'RM06BZ00',
        variant type rsvar-variant .
variant = sy-uname.
submit (report) via selection-screen
                using selection-set variant
                       and return.
Here the wrapper program is submitting your report using the variant that is named after the user id.

 How to disable a default selection checkbox in the tableview ???
I have a tableview with a iterator class mentioned on the iterator attribute of the table view. Table is a MULTISELECT tableview . Is it possible to disable or make it invisible a particular row selection check box?.
For my scenario I have Currency values on all the columns and I want to do a sub total overall total for all the price column fields in the last row of that table. I archived this functionality using Iterator class method. But I don't want the user to delete that last row in any case.

You can NOT disable the "Checkbox" of particular row using HTMLB. I had the same requirement. I achieved using 2 Tableviews, one after another. 1st tableview will show all the rows and 2nd Tableview(without Table Header) and without any row. The total will be displayed as Column title of 2nd Tableview.

Drop Down List - Setting the Default Selected Item

I have a drop down list in my application that gets populated by a remote database. When you select an item from the list, a screen full of thumbnails is populated based on the selection. We have decided that when the user gets to this component in our air application, that it looks too empty and barren. All that displays is a drop down list with an empty screen. So we would like to set a default setting for the drop down list so that when the user gets to this component, a screen full of thumbnails is awaiting them and they can change it if they want. My first instinct was just to set the selectedIndex property of the drop down list to the value that we want as the default, and that works, but it only changes the label in the dropdownlist, it doesn't actually populate the screen with the thumbnails. That is because when an item is selected, it has to be commited to the drop down list by a CLOSE event that then sets off the close handler that populates the screen with thumbnails. So after looking at the documentation, I found that there is a method called closeDropDown that states the following:

commit:Boolean — If true, commit the selected data item.
When I use this method, nothing happens. In fact if I add a listener for the CLOSE event, the close event isn't getting fired. So I am a little befuddled. The only thing that I can figure is that I am setting the selectedIndex and not the selectedItem before I call the closeDropDown method, and if you look above, the documentation vaguely states that that "If true, commit the selected data item". Do I need to set the selectedItem and not the selectedIndex? If so, I am not exactly sure how to do this since I am using a service to populate my drop down list which kind of makes the dataprovider a little unclear to me in the code because it gets replaced by an AsyncListView. Here is what I have.

I don't see your close handler in the code you posted, so if you provided it and I missed seeing it, please forgive me. I'm a bit unclear on why the open and close of your dropdown list is so critical to your functionality. It seems to me that the page of data would be tied to the item selected in the drop down (which to my mind is the only purpose for the drop down to be there). So why do you first need to open and close the drop down, rather than just taking the selected value and doing whatever you'd normally do with it to populate that page?
What I'm getting at is that I'd expect that page to be a separate component that would just have a property for the selected "thing", and that you could populate it either manually, as I suggested, or through the close handler on your drop down--I wouldn't think that there should be a need to go through the close handler every time. Even if you don't have it implemented the way I'm thinking, you may want to think about whether you need to go through the close handler every time, or whether you could break it out so that the close handler simply determines which item to select, then jumps to another function that actually does something with the selected value. That way, you don't have to go through the overhead of opening and closing the drop down if you need to change its value programmatically.
