SAP R/3 4.7 EXt200 installation on RedHat Linux 5.2 with Oracle 10G

Hi,
I got this error during Database Instance Installation:
All file system node operations of table tORA_SapdataNodes processed successfully.
ERROR      2009-08-31 11:04:39 [iaxxinscbk.cpp:289]

I am done with CI Installation.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi ,
First of all please check availability of your OS + DB requiremnts whether it is supported by SAP or not.You can check this at Product Availability Matrix at ::
http://service.sap.com/pam
If this support for your environment i.e.RedHat Linux 5.2 with Oracle 10G then be informed that after starting sapinst in step create database it will prompt you for installing your oracle DB. So open a new window & install your databse ,do the patching of your DB & then continue with sapinst after successfull installation of oracle.Rest of details sapinst will prompot you during instal;lation.
Hope this will guide you for your query.
Thanks..
Mohit

    Hi,
look at sap note 921593 and search for myCluster ,
read that section following is a part of that note.
    Symptom:
During the import into a UNICODE system the following error occurs
    (for example in the SAPCLUST.log):
myCluster (63.2.Imp): 2085: (Warning:) inconsistent field names(source): physical field K1N05 appears as logic K1N5.
myCluster (63.2.Imp): 2086: (Warning:) further investigation recommended

myCluster (63.2.Imp): 1927: logic table is canonical.

    `----
    Cause:
This problem is caused by incorrect data which should have been removed from the source system before the export.
    Solution:
    There are two possible workarounds:
          1. Modify DDL<dbs>.TPL (<dbs> = ADA, DB2, DB4, DB6, IND, MSS, ORA) BEFORE the R3load TSK files are generated;
search for the keyword "negdat:" and add "CLU4" and "VER_CLUSTR" to this line.
          2. Modify the TSK file (most probably SAPCLUST.TSK) BEFORE R3load import is (re-)started;
search for the lines starting with "D CLU4 I" and "D VER_CLUSTR I" and change the status (i.e. "err" or "xeq") to "ign" or remove the lines.

  • Installation of CRM 2007 in Windows with oracle and cluster environment

    Dear Experts,
We are about to start the installation of CRM 2007 (ABAP+JAVA) with
Oracle 10g on Windows x64 in cluster environment. In the SAPINST dialog
box under High availability option, I could see installation options like ASCS
Instance, SCS Instance, First MSCS node, Database Instance, Additional
MSCS Node, Enqueue Replication Server, Central Instance and Dialog
    Instance.
I have gone through the installation guide. I have below queries
regarding the same. Can you please clarify the same
    1) Our requirement is we want to have an ACTIVE-ACTIVE cluster setup
with sap service running in Node A and Database running in Node B. Can
we have this setup in ABAP+JAVA setup
    2) Also,in the SAPINST dialog box as said above except last two
(Central and Dialoge instance) as per standard installation guide are
to be installed in shared drives as per the requirement. But, central
and dialog are said to be installed locally on any one node in MSCS or
in separate server. As per my understanding Dialog instance will be
used for load balancing which we do not require now. Hence I feel this
is optional in our case. Where as Central Instance I am not able to
understand why this option is for? Is it mandatory to be installed or optional. If
so, when I installed it in one of the MSCS node the incase of failover
how does it effect the system. As per my understanding ASCS and SCS
    comprise central instance.
Please clarify and thanks in advance.

  • Error: SAP installation of ERP Sr3 with ORACLE 10g on Windows 2008 server

    Dear all,
while installaing SAP ERP SR3 with ORACLE 10g on windows 2008 server...
we are getting error as not support.
please confirm wether this version of OS is uspported or not.
    thanking you in all,
    by
    Animesh

actualy we tried to change Oraparam.ini file in the installation folder...
    edited ...  windows= 5.0, 5.1, 6.0
    we had entered 6.0
    Yes - that is necessary.
and started ... but after starting we are getting ERROR like unKNOWN and installation popup (OUI popup) exiting with .. error popup.
Yes - because Oracle delivers its own Java version - which is too old to run on Windows 2008.
if you suggest us to use 2003 64 bit for temporaray .... purpose.
and is there any specified procedure to UPgrade OS.
like... DB should be updated before OS upgradation.
You can run 10.2.0.4 on Windows 2003 x64 nicely and upgrade to Windows 2008. Since there is no "upgrade" (it is the highest version supported) there´s no need to do anything.
The question you have to ask is:
Why do you need Windows 2008? Is there any technical implication?

  • Question about SAP installation with Oracle 10g

I have successfully installed Oracle 10g on Windows server 2008 R2 64bit. I can connect to the database using mysql or through command prompt and run SQL commands.
I started installing the SAP EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ("51038620_13      BS 7 SR1 Installation Master Windows Server on x64 64bit") The installation goes very smooth. I choose the SAPSID and the DBSID sid, but then it gives an error stating to install oracle and continue or stop the installation & install Oracle. I have tried on continuing the installation since Oracle is already installed but I get the same message again and again.
Does it have to do with ORACLE 10g Sid. My Oracle SID is set to "ORCL" should it be the same as DBSID (during SAP Installation). Or the Oracle needs to be installed after SAP installation gets to the point for Oracle Installation. Please assist what needs to be changed. I can reinstall Oracle if needed. Any tips or comments would be nice.

    > Does it have to do with ORACLE 10g Sid. My Oracle SID is set to "ORCL" should it be the same as DBSID (during SAP Installation). Or the Oracle needs to be installed after SAP installation gets to the point for Oracle Installation.
You can't "change". You installed the Oracle software using "setup.exe" - which is wrong. You also created an example database - which is also not correct.
The Oracle software is installed, according to the installation guide, as
    - start "sapserver.cmd" on the Oracle DVD (the SAP media)
    - install the software according to the installation guide
    - install the latest patchset
    - install the latest PSU patch
    --> and then start sapinst.

  • Oracle 8i Installation on Redhat Linux AS 3.0

    Hi guys,
I am just doing some home work before installation of Oracle 8i Enterprise server on Redhat Linux AS 3.0. Before I started my work on this, I planned to install 8i on AIX 5L, which was a bad idea. Because 8i being a 32bit db and 5L being 64bit kernel, and also this combination is not supported. But with little tweeking and installing few patches, things should work.
Anyway, I would like to know, if any of you have installed 8i on RH Linux AS 3.0, and do any of you think I need to worry about 32 & 64 bit? I am installing this combination on Compaq PL 6500 server, will there be any problem, because PL 6500 is 32 bit processor? Please pass on any information which can help me in a proper installtion, Thanks in Advance

    Joel,
I am new to this company. This is my first year here, from last one and half year my company was trying to migrate from Informix to Oracle. After I joined I came to know that my predecessor started the project on 8i and left the project half way thru. Then I took over the project and completed the migration from Informix to Oracle. My company spent awful lot of money on this project due to lack technical know how and mislead by the technology staff who has no knowledge of oracle or UNIX (they are bunch of old NCR and Cobol guys here). So bottom line is if I submit a proposal to my boss of upgrading from 8i to 9i or 10g, which I will, probably won't be happy to see. But on the other hand we will loose support and left with no choice, I can only say that I am sorry for them.
Anyway, this is just a part of disorganized IT shop we have here, it needs a major facelift, and I am just pushing one at a time. Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate.

Now, after I read many How-tos and did
    export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
its starts the installer runs for some time but always just vanishes after selecting
Typical Installation, processing gows upto 84% and then just....vanished.
    What m I missing?
    I've done the following:
    Installed
    compat-glibc
    compat-egcs
    compat-libtdc++
    compat-libs
from CD 2 of linux 7.3 (6.2 compatibility) as some How-tos suggested.
also installed jre 1.1.8 from www.blackdown.org
now what do i do? please help me as soon as possible.

fiHow do I get the client working ?

So, I have been searching around to look for a method to enable the client installed on my laptop to connect to the database. Granted that, the server is not installed on my local machine. But, I am simply, unable to find any clues as to how do I specify the database name that the client should connect. The ORACLE_SID parameter needs to hold a database name; but, where are the IP address and port number mentioned for the database ? One site recommended that tnsping be used to check for database existence; whereas, tnsping is not installed. Then, the commonest hint that I keep bumping into - TNSNAMES.ORA file. Since I have only the client installed, I don't even see the network/admin folder (or whatever the path is to the .ora file) under /usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0.
It can't be this hard to connect to an Oracle server with only a itsy-bitsy Oracle installed on my local machine, hmmm ?

    Somebody can help me ?????
    Thank's ....

    Hello!
I also tried to install Oracle 8.1.6.1 (after giving up the 8.0.5 installation due to segmentation faults all over..), it also failed.
After trying to install Oracle 8.1.6.1 on RedHat 7.0 and it still crashed, i sent a mail to some guru that wrote the oracle-how-to document for redhat, here is what he replied.
    My guess is that this also applies to the newest slackware version, because i presume that slackware 7.0 also use the newest glibc libraries;
    Thanks for the feedback.
Oracle 8.1.6 does not work under Red Hat >Linux 7. Yes, that's the problem
that I mentioned in the doc--you get to 80% >and the DBCA crashes and the
    Oracle executables die.
I've heard, but I haven't tried it myself, >that if you install the latest
glibc errata (2.1.94) then the DBCA >completes but the Oracle executables
still die. The DBCA problem was apparently >a Java issue that is fixed in
the errata. But you're still out of luck >since the exes won't work.
It might appear that this is a problem with >Red Hat Linux 7. But it appears
that it is a problem with some assumptions >that Oracle made, assumptions
that worked with glibc 2.1.3 (the C library >included with RHL 6.2) but which
prove false with later glibc versions. As >other Linux distributions adopt
the new glibc Oracle will fail to work on >them as well.
The best advice I can give at this point is >to install and run Oracle on
Red Hat Linux 6.2. Hopefully Oracle will >address the glibc issues with the
    8.1.7 release.
ChrisI then installed Orace on RedHat 6.1 and it worked like a dream.
Maybe you guys should try your luck on an earier version of slackware?
    Hope that helped...

  • Installation 4.6 on my laptop with Oracle 8.1.7

    hi there
i am new to the SAP and i am trying to install IDES 4.6 on my laptop i am running Windows Advance Server Service pack 4 please guide me or send me some information on how to install IDES 4.6. i am new to i don't have SAP  User ID and password where i can not download any thing from their site.
this web site is my only hope.
thanks in advance my email address is [email protected]

I psoted the solution that seems to be working: But here's the gist.
Windows 8 (since it seems to be the most affected) move your cursor to the upper ight corner of your screen) and click on the Magnifying glass. Type in devmgmt.msc and this should bring up the Device Manager. Onc eyou are in the device manager, look for the "Portable device" or "Universial Serial bus Controller" list, and you should see the "Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod" listed. Onc eyou see it, right click it, choose "Update software driver." Now, IT WILL SAY THE DRIVER IS UPDATED. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. Select "Browse my computer for driver software." Onc eyou choose that, select "Let me pick from a lsit of drivers on my computer." You should see the option "Have Disk." Choose that. Again, I KNOW you do not have a physical disk, but the file we need is already on your computer. After Hard Disk, choose Browse again. Follow this file path to the file we need:C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.. In the Driver's folder, you should see the "usbaaple" or "usbappl64" (if you have the 64 bit for Windows). Double click on that file, and hit OK. The file should install, and once it's finished check your iTunes!!! You may want to unplug your device and plug it back it before doing all of this. I REALLY hope this works for you all as well!

You cannot use OL 6.x since currently only 11.2.0.3 is certified to be installed on this OS - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/relnotes.112/e23558/toc.htm#CHDFHIEA
If you are going to use 11.2.0.1, you will need OL 5.x or another certified OS version - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24321/pre_install.htm#CIHFICFD
