SAP R/3 and JAVA based data base

hi,
I have two data base one is SAp r/3 and another is JAVA based.
i need to link one table from Sap r/3 and one from JAVA based data base.
using crystal reports how can i do this????
thanks

hi,
in Crystal reports go to data base expert in the pop up link JAVA based data base using JDBC and connect SAp r/3 using SAP.
You will be able to get SAp menue only if you are using crystal reports version 2008 or version 12.
Once the connection is established select the tables you require and rest remains same.
Thanks.

  • Java.sql.Date and java.util.Date - class loaded first in the classpath

    I had two jar files which has java.util.Date and java.sql.Date class file. i want to know whether which class is loaded first in the classpath...
    I like to change the order of loading the class at runtime...
    Is there is any way to change the order of loading of class...
    I may have different version of jar files for example xerces,xercesImpl. some of the code uses xerces ,some of the code uses xercesImpl..i had common classes.
    I like to load the class with the same name according to the order i need..
    Can we do all these in Run time ?????

    The classes you are referring to are part of the Java API. Third party jars have no impact on that. And you can't change to the order because java.sql.Data is derived from java.util.Date. So the second must load before the first.
    And if you have two jar files with those classes in them (and not classes that use them) then you either should already know how to use them or you should stop trying to do whatever you are doing because it isn't going to work.

  • Java.util.Date and java.sql.Date

    when i am trying to displaying date in my jsp page errors occurs saying that java.util.date and java.sql.date are matching..
    i have some sql statements which i need to execute in the page.so i cant delete that import sql statement.
    so what is the solution for this.
    i want to display the date as 19th april 2003....in the jsp page.
    thank u

    You should use full names.
    java.util.Date date;
    java.sql.Date sdate;
    ..And it may be a good idea to delete one of the two "import" declaration of packages.

  • Front End for BW 3.5 and Java based application

    We are trying to connect two systems; SAP based (through BW) and Non-SAP based (Sybase, Java based) applications. We are exploring BI Java SDK with UDDI or XI services to bring Non-SAP data to NetWeaver. We don't want to store all data from sybase to BW. We could use Front end of BW or any other GUI from SAP Portal. I have heard options like UI, GUI machine, net weaver developer studio, visual composer. Ideally, we would like to combine non-sap and sap data in Business explorer/BW web browser but any other front end suggestion within Net weaver frame work will help us keep our cost down. Please advise.
    Thanks.
    Vinay Karna

    We're in the middle of upgrading from 3.1 SP 22 BW w/6.20 SAPGUI. We've only upgraded a sandbox BW server at this point, but we have upgraded all BW team members with SAPGUI 6.40 FEP 5 and can successfully connect to our 3.5 and 3.1 BWs.

  • Multiple LDAP Servers and Attribute-Based Data Partitioning

    Hello
    We currently want to implement following szenario on Netweaver 2004s. From the
    following SAP Help documentation we want attribute based data partitioning:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/4e/4d0d40c04af72ee10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    The difference to the SAP document is that we want a distribution of attributes over
    multiple LDAP servers. So we tried to fit that concept into xml. see attached xml source.
    The Portal finds both LDAP Systems but it is NOT that the useres are beeing merged
    but they appear as two distict users in the portal UME. If you do a lookup in the portal
    usernamagent system you get and see two users.
    User1: unique ID = USER.Datasource1.uid
    User2: unique ID = USER.Datasource2.uid
    Obviously the UME system was not able to merge that information of the two distict
    LDAP Systems. MSADS and Lotus Notes.
    Hence my questions:
    1) is it possible to distribute attributes over multiple ldap data sources
    2) any ideas why UME constructs two different users based in Datasource ID's specified in XML
    Thanks for any contributions or ideas,
    Ulrich Scherb

    Hi Ulrich,
    Hope your problem is resolved. We are using EP7 and SP18. We are doing some study on your first issue. i.e. Distributing a user attribute into multiple LDAPs. Can you please let me know the feasibility? If yes, what are all step do I have to follow? Expecting your valuable answer. Thanks in advance!

  • Java, access database( mdb) and java.sql.date

    I having a problem querying my access database with user specified date the code is as follows
    //get results of income from database with respectto dates
         //so u first create the sql.date instances
         private void getResults(){
         String text1=from.getText();//text input is like this 01-01-2005
              String text2=to.getText();
         Date d1=new Date(Integer.parseInt(text1.substring(6)),Integer.parseInt(text1.substring(3,5)),Integer.parseInt(text1.substring(0,2)));
         JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(this,d1.toString());//traces date with 1900 added to year and 1 added to month
         try{
              //custom class DataSource used to connect to database
              Connection conn=DataSource.getConnection("RealFotoInc");
              PreparedStatement ps=conn.prepareStatement("select * from Members where date=?");
              ps.setDate(1,d1);
              ResultSet rs=ps.executeQuery();
              while(rs.next()){
                   System.out.println("going");
                   System.out.println("trial"+rs.getString(3));
         }catch(Exception se){
              JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(this,se);
         }and it prints out nothing I dont know what is wrong

    Whoever put that comment in there about "1900" and so on knew what had to be done. That "Date" class must be "java.sql.Date"; go and read the API documentation of that constructor you are using there. Then adjust the parameters you are passing to it accordingly.

  • Oracle Timestamp and java.util.date

    Greetings,
    【Enviroment】
    oracle 10g Express
    jdbc 10.2.0.1.0 thin driver
    windows Xp professinal
    【problem】
    I fetched a value of timestamp.
    And I faced An Error that "java.sql.SQLException: Cannot set lastup_dt: incompatible types."
    We define data type of lastup_dt is timestamp on Oracle.
    And We define the data type of lastup_dt of javaBean is java.util.date.
    And Ocurr SQLException at result = rsh.handle(rs);
    How Can I avoid it?
    public Object query(Connection conn, String sql, Object[] params,
    ResultSetHandler rsh) throws SQLException {
    PreparedStatement stmt = null;
    ResultSet rs = null;
    Object result = null;
    try {
    stmt = this.prepareStatement(conn, sql);
    this.fillStatement(stmt, params);
    rs = this.wrap(stmt.executeQuery());
    result = rsh.handle(rs);
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    this.rethrow(e, sql, params);
    } finally {
    try {
    close(rs);
    } finally {
    close(stmt);
    return result;
    Any help I appreciate it.
    Thank you.

    As long as you have the long representation of the time you can create a new java.util.Date:
    new java.util.Date(ts.getTime())

  • BlackBerry and Java - Save data without a BES ?

    Hi, I'm new with the BlackBerry development. I'm a student and I use Java for school and personnal projects. I have a question and I didn't find an answer on the web.
    I'm building an application for BlackBerry with Java. I need to save informations on a server but I don't have a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. I have a server with SQL Server for a software on the Intranet of the company. The data are first save on the BlackBerry localy and when the connection is made with the network, I want to save the data to my database.
    It's it possible to do this without the BlackBerry Enterprise Server?
    Thanks a lot !
    Dominic
    Student and Java developer
    Sorry for my por english, it's not my native language ... oups !

    Hi Domnic,
    Yes it is possible. You have a web browser dont you? Create and HTTP connection.
    Otherwise if youd prefer a Socket connection then it will only work on the older models.
    Just define the connection string to be "deviceside=true".
    Good luck,
    Ruben

  • New Server for Preview SAP WAS ABAP and Java

    Hi
    I wish to purchase a new PC or server to specifically house my ABAP and Java preview installations rather than have them running on an old PC and laptop.
    Anyone out there got some recommended configurations?  Max spend will be £1500.
    Cheers
    Ian

    Ian,
    Personally I wouldn't be happy running a server 24/7 at home but would want to just switch it on and the server start so would be looking to have some sort of script to run the relevant WAS instances automatically on startup.
    160Gb hard drives would be ample. Could consider increasing the storage and then the system could double up as a backup device as well as a SAP server.
    I've built systems in the past and that's the approach I'd take for this too. I don't mind buying pre-built systems but I
    detest all the rubbish software they bundle with them. If you build it yourself you can install just Windows and it'll run like a dream.
    This bundle looks interesting:
    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-039-OK
    The motherboard takes four memory modules so the 2Gb would consume two of these allowing for upgrades in the future if deemed necessary. Add in a couple of HD's, a DVD-RW, a cheap gfx card and a case and you'd easily get change from £800. Could spend a bit more to get more silent components too.
    Now I've had a look around and priced them up I'm even more tempted!!!
    Cheers,
    JB

  • Add zfield to va01 and updating the data base

    Hi friends,
    I have requirement to add Zfields to vbak and updating the Zfield value to VBAK.
    But my problem is when am trying to save or changing the Zfield into data base it is not saving the zfield value and it is not detecting the change value of Zfield in VA02.
    Can any provide the solution if possible.
    Thanks in advance.
    sasi.

    Hi friend ,
    my requirement to update the Zfield information in vbap table. Even if am try using the user exit move_field_to_vbap it is not getting triggered if we chage the zfield value.it is only getting triggered during the change of standard field.
    when am trying to save the Zfield value we are getting the message No data changed. in that case data is not getting updated to data base table vbap
    thanks  in advance,

  • Conversions between java.util.Date, java.util.Timestamp and java.sql dates

    I am coding a hoilday booking system using JSP to interact with a SQL Server database. On my JSP form which retrieves the information I have a little javascript pop-up date selector which appears to be returning a Timestamp value although the string value is visable in the entry field. Can I pass this to a javabean as a Timestamp, so far I have only passed strings? Also I then have to enter it in the database and so will need to convert it to an sql date type but I dont know which one is best. Previous to using the Timestamp returning calendar I was just entering text and parsing it to a util.Date in the bean and then converting that to an sql.Date for entry in the database. That worked fine but I want to use the pop-up any ideas? Also my bean won't compile if I declare java.util.Timestamp t;(cannot resolve symbol Timestamp !) even though I have imported util.

    First of all, java.util.Timestamp does not exist. You probably need java.sql.Timestamp.
    java.sql.Date and java.sql.Timestamp inherit from java.util.Date. So converting from java.sql.Date or java.sql.Timestamp to java.util.Date is easy, you don't have to do anything.
    To convert a java.util.Date to a java.sql.Timestamp, do something like this:
    import java.sql.Timestamp;
    import java.util.Date;
    Date date = new Date();
    Timestamp ts = new Timestamp(date.getTime());Jesper

  • SAP UI Table and escaped JSON data

    Hi,
    There is table which is bound to a JSON data.
    I'm getting the JSON data via ajax call. Some of the data in the JSON is escaped.
    But, i'm loading the table data via Table.bindRows() API. This shows the data in the escaped format. I want to show it in the unescaped format

    Tried oModel.setData({ businessData : unescape(myTxt) });
    This invalidates the JSON and the table data is empty.
    How and where do i unescape the relevant data ?
    I know that the value in the field may be escaped. How do i unescape the data from the model ?
    regards,

    Hello,
    The below code snipped worked
              function onCompleteBody(myTxt){
                  oModel.setData({ businessData : myTxt });
                  oMasterTbl.bindRows("/businessData/MyData");
                  oMasterTbl.setModel(oModel);
                  var nrows = oModel.getProperty("/businessData/MyData");
                  var cntxt, len, i;
                  len = nrows.length;
                  for (i=0; i<len; i++) {
                  cntxt = oMasterTbl.getContextByIndex(i);
                  tkn = cntxt.getProperty("mydata");
                  tkn = unescape(tkn);
                  oModel.setProperty("mydata", tkn, cntxt);
                  oMasterTbl.setModel(oModel);
                  oMasterTbl.invalidate();

  • CreateQuery and java.util.Date

    I have a database fiedl that has a Date type, so after creating my named query, I am setting the currenty date to the field using
    query.setParameter("createDate", new java.util.Date());
    I get a failure after doing this because TopLink gets an unexpectedToken EJBQLException in trying to parse "Fri" in the resulting query like this
    p.createDate = Fri Dec 21 00:00:00 PST 2007
    what should I do to get this query to run. I hope I am clear.
    Michael

    For java.sql.Date the spec. defines the following setParameter method (3.6.1 Query Interface):
    * Bind an instance of java.util.Date to a named parameter.
    * @param name
    * @param value
    * @param temporalType
    * @return the same query instance
    * @throws IllegalArgumentException if parameter name does not
    * correspond to parameter in query string
    public Query setParameter(String name, Date value, TemporalType
