SAPROUTTAB Permissions Table location

I am a third part software developer without a local SAP installation and has to connect to the SAP test database facility. The scenario is SAPROUTER -> VPN -> SAPROUTER -> SAP.
We are in the very early stages and have just setup our VPN, got connection details from SAP etc. I am now attempting to setup the SAPROUTER on our side. However, each time we try and start SAPROUTER in a command window to see if settings are ok we get the following message:
"saprouttab table not found!".
Firstly, what filetype should be given to the SAPROUTTAB, is it a normal .TXT file?
Secondly, I created a C:\usr\sap\saprouter folder and the SAPROUTRTAB file resides in this folder.
I know this may sound absolutely stupid but I am stuck!

There is no exact rule how to find a structure filled in.
I located the place from where this value is coming for FBL3N,the internal table  it_pos defined in RFITEM_DEF.
If you can trace how this internal table filled you can identity how ebeln is populated.
Put a break point in program RFITEMGL following FM and check the value of internal table it_pos.
  call function 'FI_ITEMS_DISPLAY'
    exporting
      caller_repid  = c_repid_gl
      acctype       = c_koart_gl
      x_opvw        = x_gl_opvw
      x_change      = x_change
      i_u_save      = gd_alvsave
      is_u_variant  = gs_variant
      it_u_fieldcat = gt_fieldcat[]
      it_kontab     = it_accts[]
      it_slbtab     = it_comps[]
      it_t001       = it_h_t001[]
      it_skat       = it_h_skat[]
      it_skb1       = it_h_skb1[]
      x_grid        = x_grid
      x_inet        = pa_inet
    tables
      it_items      = it_pos.
About locating values how it filled,
Several ways exist to do this.
(1) F1 & F9 gives the field name then search where used list in se11.
(2) Using SQL trace u can i identify how a structure filled in but its a complex process.
Hope this helps,
Thanks,

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Crystal Reports 2008 - Changing Table Locations

    Hello,
    we have several reports which we use by different customers. The customers use different name spaces (table locations) for the same data. To use the same reports with different table locations, we wrote a piece of software replacing the connection strings and table locations.
    Example:
    A report should be used in a test environment as well as in a production environment:
      The original SQL is (using a DB2 database on a AS400):
        SELECT alias.name FROM as400.production.users alias
      The modified SQL looks like:
        SELECT alias.name FROM as400.test.users alias
    Up to now we used Crystal XI and developed using RDC. We solved the above described problem by reading the report SQL string, replacing the table location in this string and assigned it back to the report object. Modifying the SQL string has the advantage that it works fine also for reports which contain a SQL command.
    Since Crystal Reports 2008 this is not possible anymore (no RDC, no direct way to modify the report SQL string).
    My first approach was to use the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Table object. First I just wanted to see what really was the content of the Location and Name property:
    for (int i = 0; i < rdReport.Database.Tables.Count; ++i)
      Table rt = rdReport.Database.Tables<i>;
      Console.WriteLine("Table Nr : {0}", i);
      Console.WriteLine("  Table Loc  : {0}", rt.Location);
      Console.WriteLine("  Table Name : {0}", rt.Name);
    My problem with this is that the output for the report with the SQL in the above example is:
    Table Nr: 0
      Table Loc : users
      Table Name: alias
    So obviously not the real table location and table name is returned, but instead the table name for the table location and the alias for the table name. Unsurprisingly setting the location had not the originally desired effect.
    Furthermore if the report was designed using a SQL command, the location and in the name property contain the string COMMAND. Therefore the table object doesn't seems to be the solution to my problem.
    Thanks to the help of a user in this forum here, I figured out how to read the SQL string of a report. Unfortunately I did not found a way to assign it back to the report.
    Has anybody here an idea how to solve my problem? I'm open for every kind of hint.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ron

    My solution looks like this:
    ReportDocument rdReport = new ReportDocument();
    rdReport.Load(sReportName, OpenReportMethod.OpenReportByTempCopy);
    CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc.ISCDReportClientDocument rcDocument = rdReport.ReportClientDocument;
    for (int i = 0; i < rdReport.Database.Tables.Count; ++i)
        CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel.ISCRTable rctTable = rcDocument.DataDefController.Database.Tables<i>;
        if (rctTable.ClassName == "CrystalReports.CommandTable")
            Console.WriteLine("Processing CommandTable {0}",rctTable.Name);
            Console.WriteLine("  Old Qualified Name: {0}", rctTable.QualifiedName);
            Console.WriteLine("  Old Alias:          {0}\n" , rctTable.Alias);
            CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel.CommandTable tbOldCmd = (CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel.CommandTable) rctTable;
            CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel.CommandTable tbNewCmd = new CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel.CommandTable();

  • Specify field mapping when changing table location

    I want to change the tables in a report to refer to database tables with a different schema, and specify the mapping of fields in code.
    I already have code that changes table locations successfully when the schema does not differ, using the RAS API. As far as I can tell, the RAS API doesn't have a way of handling schema differences. Is that true?
    OTOH, the higher-level CR API does appear to have a mechanism to do field mapping, using the FieldMapping event in the ReportDocument class. I've been trying to use this API for the job, but I don't seem to be able to change the location of a table in the report.
    Here's an example scenario:
    The report was created using an ODBC data source Source1 that contains a table Table1
    I have an ODBC data source Source2 that contains Table1 as well as a table Table2 that is identical to Table1 except that the field names are all slightly different
    I want to change the report so that it uses Table2 in Source2
    I've managed to get the report switched to Source2 with code like this:
    report.DataSourceConnections[0].SetConnection("Source2", "", id, pwd);
    Here's the code I'm using to try to change the report table to refer to Table2:
                Table table = report.Database.Tables[0]; // only one table in the report
                TableLogOnInfo logOnInfo = table.LogOnInfo;
                logOnInfo.TableName = "Table2";
                table.ApplyLogOnInfo(logOnInfo);
                report.VerifyDatabase();
    I've also tried the simpler
    table.Location = "Table2";
    Neither approach changes the table location. I know this because when I preview the report I see data. Since the field names are all different, changing the location should have removed all the fields from the report. (Also, the event handler I have hooked up to the FieldMapping event is not called. Yes, I did enable the event in the ReportDocument.)
    So:
    How do you change the location of a table using the high-level API?
    If you change the location using the RAS API, is the FieldMapping event fired? (Haven't tried this, but somehow I doubt it.)
    Is there a way to do field mapping with the RAS API?
    Thanks!

    Hi Rick
    This is not considered a bug. It is a limitation that has been discusses extensively in many of our internal meetings. The implementation job proved to be much too massive and with highly limited ROI. E.g.; the number of requests for the feature is just not there...

  • Set Table Location for Reports(Command Objects)

    Hi SAP Gems,
    I would like to thank TED,Merry,Jonathan, Shawn, and all the developers contributing to this community.
    I would really appreciate any help on following question:
    1. I have a report designed in CR 2008 against DB2(JDBC Connectivity).
    2. The report is working fine in the designer.
    3. There are five sub reports in the main report.
    4. The main report doesnt have any command object however every child/sub report has command object with paramaters.
    5. Every subreport is linked.
    6. I would like to change runtime datasource location for this report using CRJ 2.0 SDK'S.( from AIX to Windows BOX)
    7. Both BOX's have same database schema.
    8. I am able to view the report in the jsp page using SDK's, however "set table location doesnt works and prompts me the error:
    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKException: Unexpected database connector error---- Error code:-2147467259 Error code name:failed
    *There is no problem with the code because the sample code is taken from sdn.sap as it is and it works for other report without subreport and command objects.
    I tried using the following code piece but again same problem.
    if(table instanceof com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.data.CommandTable)
                        IProcedure command = (IProcedure)table;
                        ParameterField commandParam = (ParameterField) command.getParameters().get(0);
                        Values values = new Values();
                        ParameterFieldDiscreteValue pfdv = new ParameterFieldDiscreteValue();
                        pfdv.setValue("ANTON");
                        values.add(pfdv);
                        commandParam.setCurrentValues(values);
    I would like to know if I dont want to set the command level param using:
    ParameterField commandParam = (ParameterField) command.getParameters().get(0);
                        Values values = new Values();
                        ParameterFieldDiscreteValue pfdv = new ParameterFieldDiscreteValue();
                        pfdv.setValue("ANTON");
                        values.add(pfdv);
                        commandParam.setCurrentValues(values);
    would the parameter would be prompted automatically?
    how do I find what paramaeter to set and how ?

    Jonathan Roy

    Hi ,
    Can any one help please?
    Ted !! I would really appreciate an answer from you.

  • Set table location

    Post Author: midav
    CA Forum: Data Connectivity and SQL
    Hi, CR 8.5 had   a menu option where one could manually modify table location from &#91;db_name&#93;.&#91;owner&#93;.table_name to just table_name by deleting &#91;db_name&#93;.&#91;owner&#93; prefix which would make your report portable between different databases. It seems Crystal 11.5 doesn't have this option any more.How can I achieve the same in CR 11.5 designer?Thank you, Midav

    Post Author: zen69
    CA Forum: Data Connectivity and SQL
    Are you sure you can delete it or it was creating  an alias for the table? eg: SELECT * FROM &#91;dbname&#93;.&#91;owner&#93;.table MyTable  Then you can use MyTable.field ? Maybe you should use ODBC to connect to the DB ?

  • Intervals, synchronize the data between two oracle tables located in diffe

    Hi Experts,
    Is there any way I can, at set intervals, synchronize the data between two oracle tables located in different servers? What is the software, if there is any? If there are steps I can follow, so much the better.
    Thanks!

    I'm not sure what you want to achieve here...
    I want to synchronize both the Servers , so that it can update HO servers as well as Factory Server with the complete data. Could you please elaborate a little bit more; basing on your description I could also tell you how to setup timesync for those two servers if I understand "complete data" as the current date and time...
    Also a lot of solutions are platform and version specific so it would help if you could indicate OS and Database Versions (4 digit).
    And I still fail to see what this has to do with forms. You might want to post your question to the Database General forum: General Database Discussions
    cheers

  • How to work with tables located into another schema ?

    Hi
    I have created an application named OBSERVATOIRE and a schema named "OBSERVATOIRE" for it into my db. I created into this schema a few tables like "AGENT" for example.
    Now I am designing another application named TELEGESTION located in another schema named "SIVOA" and I need to display and to use tables located into the schema OBSERVATOIRE.
    I added the schema OBSERVATOIRE into my application TELEGESTION.
    In my new application TELEGESTION, when I try to create a report with a simple request like this
    select * from observatoire.agents
    I get this error :
    Query cannot be parsed, please check the syntax of your query. (ORA-00942: Table ou vue inexistante)
    What should I do in order to work with tables in another schema ?
    Thank you very much
    Christian

    Vajrad and Dan,
    Thank you very much for your suggestions.
    At this point I am wondering if It would be better for me to change the way I began work.
    These two applications will be used by the same users into an intranet (a private network of our company). I wonder if the better would be to import the tables and my application OBSERVATOIRE into the schema SIVOA and get rid of these problems of access.
    Historically, the schema SIVOA contains a lot of tables already used by a previous network.As i was beginner with APEX I created a schema "OBSERVATOIRE" to be "safe". But this schema contains a small amounbt of tables, i can easily tranfers them into the schema "SIVOA"
    But now as I see that that having two schemas is complexifying the developpement and also I am thinking to the login page, I do'nt want to force the user to login each times a switch from one application to the other, etc... I want some kind of "single sign on".
    Whad would be you advise ?
    Thank you for your time.
    Christian

  • Crystal 8.5! Set table locations at run time to queries

    Hopefully some people still remember version 8.5...
    I have a number of reports which all work from a single database, this can be either Access or SQL Server, I'm currently testing on Access. I would like to use the same reports but print them for multiple databases, all of which have the same schema. To do this I'm creating UNION queries in one of the databases and I now want to change the location of the tables in the report to use these union queries instead.
    For example, say the report uses table "Customer" in db1 but I have also have db2 and db3 with the same table, I'm enumerating all fields used in the report and creating a union in db1 something like:
    SELECT field1, field2 FROM Customer IN 'db1.mdb'
    UNION SELECT field1, field2 FROM Customer IN 'db2.mdb'
    UNION SELECT field1, field2 FROM Customer IN 'db3.mdb'
    Now I've tested this in Crystal Reports itself, i.e. setting the location to the new tables, and it works OK. I'm having to use an OLEDB connection otherwise the links get removed. When I try to set the location in code I just get no data on the report even though there is data available.
    In code I'm going through all tables (and all tables in all sub reports) and I've tried setting the Location property to the name of the union, I've tried SetTableLocation "<path to db>", "<union name>" and I've tried both using SetLogOnInfo "<path to db>" as well.
    I'm thinking perhaps converting the report to active data and plugging in an ADO recordset could be a solution but I'm not sure how feasible that is from code (i.e. converting the database driver from either pdsoledb.dll or pdbdao.dll to pdsmon.dll and creating a ttx on the fly...).
    Any help much appreciated.

    Hi,
    SetTableLocation should work but you need to make sure you call it for each of the tables in the report or in this case the Union.
    Just like in the report designer when you set the location you need to point to the table you want to change.  Even though you get the prompt asking to set the same location for all the tables, it's doing the same thing for you.
    Hope this helps,
    Brian

  • External table' location

    Database Oracle 11g R2 on Sun
    I have a common structure on a external table, which will be supplied by multiple source files.
    Instead of creating multiple ext table, I have created one and wants to use this one to for all files (FILE NAME is different)
    alter table tbl_nm location ('filename1.dat')
    And I cannot specify all possible file names, because it failed. At one point of time there will be only one file will be available for this external table.
    Is there anyother best practicies for this approach?
    Thanks,

    Well, SOME sort of processing needs to be done to determine what file to point to!
    Another option would be to
    1.) Create an external table for each file
    2.) Create a function which returns a pipelined table type
    3.) In that function test each external table to see which is valid and return that as the pipelined data (or even aggregate several of them through native dynamic SQL if you like)
    4.) Base your mapping on the pipelined function as a source.
    Technically, this should be possible although I've never attempted it.
    Still, I have a question: You say that you do not want to do any external pre-processing, but what control mechanism are you going to use to ensure that one and only one file exists in that directory at any one time, or to indicate that you are done with that file so that it is removed to make way for the next? It seems that some control and interaction needs to be in place for this sort of scenario, so I have to wonder why your design wants to limit leveraging all that these control mechanisms could do to simplify this process.
    Cheers,
    Mike

  • Subject Area Permissions file location

    Hi,
    I am using OBIEE 10G. I would like to know if the permissions for Subject Areas will be stored in any file. Can someone please help me to find the physical location of Subject Area Permissions file so that i can copy this to our new environment rather than doing it manually.
    Thanks.

    Thanks, catalog will have all reports and permissions etc....but i need to migrate ***Permissions for Subject Areas***
    just to avoid manual effort. The thing is we have more than 50 Subject Areas and almost 300 clients, this involves a lot of manual effort as we need to go to each Subject Area and assign permissions for each client. So i just want to know if OBIEE saves the Subject Area permissions in any file.
    Thanks.

  • Incorrect CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Table.Location

    Hi All,
    I'm doing a project where my report developer team is developing reports in Crystal reports XI.
    This report use oledb provider to connect to sql server 2000.
    I have tables name like
    "abcowner.xyztable"
    "pqrowner.xyztable"
    so same table in different owner/schema.
    Crystal report is using "pqrowner.xyztable" and it runs fine in crystal report.
    I'm have embedded this report in asp.net 3.5 and using 11.5.37.0 runtime. When this report is run in asp.net application using
    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument() , it's using table in different schema i.e. "abcowner.xyztable".
    I have to manually change the location of the table to point to correct owner.  I can't fix like this becuase the application wouldn't know which owner/schema to pick.
    foreach (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Table crTable in crTables)
                        crTableLogonInfo = crTable.LogOnInfo;
                        crTableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo = crConnectionInfo;
                        string strLocation = crConnectionInfo.DatabaseName + "SCHEMA/OWNER." + crTable.Location.Substring(crTable.Location.LastIndexOf(".") + 1);
                        crTable.ApplyLogOnInfo(crTableLogonInfo);
                        crTable.Location = strLocation;
    Any suggestion ?
    Thanks
    Thanks in advance.

    One thing I'd do 1st is make sure you are on [SP 6|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100015859952009E/crxir2win_sp6.exe]. Eventually you'll need the SP 6 runtime:
    CR XI r2 (SP6) MSM
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100000634042010E/crxir2sp6_net_mm.zip

    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100000633302010E/crxir2sp6_net_si.zip
    Perhaps using the InProc RAS SDK will be better also. See KB [1553921  - Is there a utility that would help in writing database logon code?|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333533353333333933323331%7D.do].

  • Modify a mapping's table location using OMBALTER MAPPING

    Hi,
    I also posted this on metalink. So here's my question.
    I can set certain table properties used by an OWB mapping, using the OMBALTER MAPPING syntax. Here I'm setting a dblink, OMBALTER MAPPING 'MY_MAPPING' MODIFY OPERATOR 'MY_TABLE' SET PROPERTIES (DATABASE_LINK) VALUES ('MY_DBLINK')
    OR
    loading hint OMBALTER MAPPING 'MY_MAPPING' MODIFY OPERATOR 'MY_TABLE' SET PROPERTIES (LOADING_HINT) VALUES ('/*+ APPEND */')
    My problem is when I try changing a table's location. Here's what I already tried.
    OMBALTER MAPPING 'MY_MAPPING' MODIFY OPERATOR 'MY_TABLE' SET PROPERTIES (LOCATION) VALUES ('MY_LOCATION')
    Result: OMB02902: Error setting property LOCATION of MY_MAPPING: MMM1034: Property LOCATION does not exist
    OMBALTER MAPPING 'MY_MAPPING' MODIFY OPERATOR 'MY_TABLE' SET PROPERTIES (LOCATION_NAME) VALUES ('MY_LOCATION')
    Result: OMB02902: Error setting property LOCATION_NAME of MY_MAPPING: MMM1034: Property LOCATION_NAME does not exist
    Question is how can I change the location name of table "MY_TABLE" used by OWB mapping "MY_MAPPING" with OMB+?
    OWB release is 10.2.0.31
    Thank you and please excuse this newby question but I find the Oracle documentation very cryptic.

    Hi,
    That's not correct, I had an issue when I changed the asociated location of one of the modules. After that the mappings of another modules using tables of the altered module continue referencing to the older location. I don't know if the problem persists when closing OWB and opening again, but I made a OMB Script to change de location of the tables. The property name is DB_LOCATION, not LOCATION:
    OMBALTER MAPPING 'MY_MAPPING' MODIFY OPERATOR 'MY_TABLE' SET PROPERTIES (DB_LOCATION) VALUES ('MY_NEW_LOCATION')
