Satellite Pro A300D - Driver for Multimedia audio controller

Hi,
I have Toshiba Satellite pro A300D and one day the built in mic, built in camera and the speakers stopped working.
When i checked out Device manager i saw that the driver for the multimedia controller was not working so i uninstalled it and went on the toshiba site to installed the new driver.
When i looked up drivers for my computer they have everything except that driver!
Is there anyone who knows were i can find it?
I use the computer to work with music and i am gonna record some people soon and than i really need it to work!
Best regards,
Hermann

Hi
You are using Win XP?
Well, i had some problems with Win XP and sound as well.
The point is that Win XP needs some patches and updates before installing sound driver.
You have to install Win XP SP3 before installing sound driver.
I recommend doing this;
- remove from device manager the sound card and the Intel High Definition audio
- uninstall the sound driver
- install SP3 and update the Win XP to latest state
- reboot the unit and install the sound driver again.
- reboot and test the sound

  • Satellite A200-1CR - Driver for Mass Storage Controller

On my Satellite A200-1CR / Windows 7 Pro I see yellow "Mass storage controller" in device list. What driver I should install?
Also my cardreader is not work now.

    Hi mate
In your case I recommend checking the Device ID and Vendor ID which helps you to get more details about the device and needed driver.
Here you can find a nice HowTo:
[How to identify an unknown device?|http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=78]
If the Mass Storage Controller is the Card Reader device, then you would need the Flash Media Driver but I found only the driver for Vista, however, I recommend checking this driver even if its has been released for Vista and not for Win 7

  • Soundblaster Live! Platinum, Windows XP SP2 & "Multimedia Audio Controller" w/Yellow Question M

I am setting up a brand new PC, but using some old trusted parts, like my SB Li've! Platinum, with the Li've Dri've.
In the past, setting up with Windows XP w/SP never resulted in any problems. I would have the Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe file on CD and once I booted to the Windows Desktop, I could browse the CD, install the drivers without incident.
Enter Windows XP w/SP2 ... this is a fresh install with SP2 slipstreamed into the install media. This comes direct from Microsoft via MSDN Download, and is not a home grown piece of install media.
When the installation completes, I have sound, but I also have the following:
In the Device Manager, under Other Devices, I have an entry for:Multimedia Audio Controller (yellow question mark)
I also have under Sound, video and game controllers, entries for:Creative SB Li've! (WDM)Creative SBLi've! Gameport
When I launch the programs in the Sound Blaster Li've! group, I get the following:
    a) Audio HQ"Cannot initialize audio dri've. Reinstall audio driver.
    b) Creative Sound Mixer"CeDevcon.dll has returned an error. Mixer will now exit.

  • Help With Multimedia Audio Controller Driver For XP Pro

    Hello,
    Please help!!!
I am trying to locate the Multimedia Audio Controller Driver for XP Pro for an MSI 645 ULTRA (A6547MS) Motherboard.  The audio device is integrated into the motherboard and Windows XP Pro is not recognizing the device.
I have tried looking at MSI Support Website but am unable to identify which is the correct driver package to use.
I would also like to know if there are any related WinXP Supplement driver package needed for this motherboard.

Did you do a clean installation of XP or you only use the upgrade function?
I recommend you to do clean installation if you didn't.

  • Multimedia audio controller driver for windows 7 on compaq presario r3000

I installed Windows 7 on Laptop Compaq Presario R3000. Everything is fine, however, multi media controller driver was not installed. I would appreciate if you let me know where I can get it. I have Driver CD for Windows XP that came with my computer. Thanks.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    You're very welcome.
Looks to me like you have to manually install the XP audio driver as follows...
Download and run this file.  If it installs the audio, great.  If not...close out of any error windows.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-18403-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
Go to the device manager and click on the multimedia audio controller needing drivers.
Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software and browse to:
C:\SWSetup\sp27325\SMAXWDM\W2K_XP\smwdmNV8, and select the SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio device from the list and see if the driver installs that way.
    Then reboot.

  • Need"multimedia audio controller" driver for pavilion zv5340us running XPsp3

Just received a free HP Pavilion zv5340us and can not find the driver for the multimedia audio controller.
Searched everywhere on the net (HP website, Driverguide,etc...) and on my XP cd.
I have everything else working but I have no sound.
Running XP SP3. Does anyone have this driver?

    Hi:
I see there are no audio drivers for your notebook on the support page, nor does the product description say much about the audio that would help, so...
Click on the multimedia audio controller in the device manager. Then click on the details tab.  Post the top string of characters you see there. Those will hopefully ID the manufacturer and model of your audio card, and I can try and find the driver link to post for it.

  • Multimedia Audio Controller/driver prob

    Help me please.
OK i just got my first sound card today; an X-Fi xtream music.
And i have the problem where i cant install the drivers. I get Multimedia Audio controller as a yellow question mark in the device manager, when XP copies files from the CD to the windows/drivers32 folders (or what ever it is called) it does not work and says there is a data error and this is after installing from the creative cd and XP still says new hardware detected. I have seen a lot of posts about this but the answers are not working for me.
I HAVE DISABLED MY ONBOARD AUDIO through bios, which seemed to fix everyone else's problems.
I have completely uninstalled every audio device/driver i could get my hands on and then reinstalled as a selecti've startup, in the system configuration utility thingo. I cant get rid of 'legacy audio drivers' but i think thats to be expected
I have a logitech quickcam webcam, which i have disabled if that helps anything
I downloaded and ran the 40MB driver update.
I have tried using other PCI slots (do u need to to reinstall the drivers after trying a new slot?)
I am using an asus p4s800-mx se motherboard, Win XP SP2
and i think that sums up everything i have been doing for the last 6 to 7 hours
Also someone was saying irq stuff, i have no idea but here is mine:
http://members.optusnet.com.au/~mike440/irq.JPGAlso apparently i am "ACPI uniprocessor PC"
Does any of this help narrow down my problem? I bet it is something basic, it always is but i am just sick to death of restarting and reinstalling. I hope it does not come down to me reinstalling XP, i only did that the other month and it takes for ever to get my settings back the way i like it and it would not be worth having a soundcard.
    Thanks

  • Satellite Pro A300D - What is the model number for the keyboard?

My husband managed to dislodge a keycap on my keyboard, and broke the white scissor clip that holds hit on...(don't ask me how)
He spoke to the authorised service centre here in Norway, and they sent us replacement scissor clips (actually they sent an old non-functioning keyboard) but the clips are of a different design to the ones on my laptop.
I was wondering if anyone has an idea of the model/serial number of the keyboard used in the Satellite Pro A300D-151 (PSAK9E) so I can get the correct replacement part.
I really don't want to have to replace the whole keyboard when it's just 1 of the scissor clips that is broken...the laptop is only 5 months old.
Here are some photos of the scissor clip in question & the where it attaches to the keyboard (sorry about the quality)

    Hi
Sorry buddy but its not possible to exchange some single keys on a keyboard so in this case you must replace the complete keyboard. But normally this should not be so difficult.
Either you exchange the keyboard yourself or you sent the notebook to the authorized service provider.
The model number for the keyboard is not known to me but contact your ASP!! They can order all Toshiba parts and they should know the right part number.
    Bye

  • Multimedia Audio Controller, and Video Controller(VGA compatible) are missing on Windows XP(32Bit) SP3

    Hi.
My Desktop Computer(Intel P 4, 512MB of RAM, and Graphics Card  with 256MB of RAM)
Also, My Desktop Computer with P 4 doesn't have any access internet since there is no network adapter is installed. As a result, I would not be able to run the pc scan utility, or  Reader a web-based applet that identifies my GPU or Audio controller
and finds the latest graphics driver for my GPU, and Audio.
I have two Windows XP installations:
Windows XP SP2(32Bit) which is old and it seems it infected by some viruses.
I have installed another fresh clean Windows XP(32Bit) SP3. However, I have two devices not detected well by Windows XP.
First of all, when saying that I have multi-operationgs systems, I mean there are two operating systems installed on my PC(SP2, SP3) both are 32Bit. The first Windows SP2(NOT installed by me) has all multimedia audio card installed well,
and has SCSI and RAID Host Controller shown the device manager. However, only the VGA is not installed on Windows SP2. However, the second one Windows SP3(Installed by me) has VGA not installed, Multimedia audio NOT installed, and there is no SCSI and RAID
    Host Controller in device manager.
First:  Yes, my motherboard has integrated video, and integrated audio card
According to the screen shots above, then
The vendor ID of Multimedia Audio Controller  is 8086 and the device ID is
    24D5.
The vendor ID of Video Controller  is 8086 and the device ID is
    2572.
I AM EXPECTING THAT KNOWING THE VENDOR ID AND THE DEVICE ID WILL LET ME QUICKLY FIND THE APPROPRIATE  DRIVER. HOWEVER, I COULDN'T FIND THE APPROPRIATE DRIVER.
Thus, could you please help me to find them?
I have tried installing a soundMAX card  driver, however, I found this error.
I have checked the other Windows XP SP2(32Bit) which is oder installed, and it seems it infected by some viruses.
However, the Multimedia Audio on that Windows is installed well. As here: I only posted these screen shots to show what kind of device is Multimedia Audio Card

  • Multimedia Audio Controller Er

For some reason after I formatted my hard dri've, the sound card isn't recognized. There is no little speaker in the system tray and no sound options at all. I don't have the driver cd. The model number is sb0220. It is a Sound Blaster Li've 5. Digital. What do i do to get rid of the error and have sound? Thank you.

I realize that this is an old post but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction... I was trying to clean up my add/remove programs and i had meant to hit the one above but some how i got rid of the Multimedia Audio Controller ... I have SoundBlaster Audigy 2. this card was installed because the computer had come with a sound card built in on the motherboard and kid broke off the end of the plug in the headset/speaker thingie.
I cannot find my disks (we moved since I instlaled and cant find a blessed thing). How do I get this device working again... Right now its showing up under other devices with big ? ... says Multimedia Audio Controller.
On my add/remove list it shows the CREATIVE MEDIASOURCE (which was RIGHT below the accidentally removed item) and then much further down I see that SOUND BLASET AUDIGY 2 is still installled. In my Device Manager I have listed the following (Somebelong to that sound card on the motherboard I am sure)
    Audio Codecs
    Intel(r)8280BA/BAM AC97 Controller
    Legacy Audio Drivers
    Legacy Videio Capture Devces
    Media Control Devices
    Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device
    Video Codec
PLEASE tell me how to get this Multimedia Audio Controller reinstalled so I can again use my SB Audigy 2 card (since I cant use the other with that darn plug stuck inside). I have tried to upgrade the SB Audigy 2 drivers but that didnt seem to work.
I would be most grateful to whomever may be able to help me with this problem!

  • Multimedia audio controller

    Hello
I have a compaq presario SR1130UK and had to put a new hard drive in, everything is working fine other than the multimedia audio controller which has a yellow question mark next to it. This website will recognise my PC but says that it can't check nything on my system. Can you please help with which driver I will need.
    Thanks

    You're very welcome.
I don't see the driver you need for the audio chip on your PC's support and driver page but see if the audio driver from the HP Evo d510 works as it uses the same audio chip yours does.
