Save Adobe Form as XML

Hello,
I am ABAPer and wanted to know if there is a way I can save the Online Adobe Form as XML using the SUBMIT button? Can I convert the Online Adobe Form as XML file using JAVA Script and then save it at at maybe a default location?

Let me take through step by step:-
1. I am working on SAP Version that does not support dynamic tables. Hence the when I convert the Adobe form into PDF content extracted in SAP Web dynpro, the PDF content does not have data entered in Dynamic Tables. To read dynamic tables the SAP system will have to undergo a ABAP kernel upgrade which is not possible at this time.
2. I had come up with a concept that using JAVA Script if I could convert the live Online Adobe Form into XML using the SUBMIT button on the form and then store it in one of the invisible fields on the form itself or maybe at remote location in desktop / application server.
3. This would be picked up once again by the ABAP Web dynpro and this file would contain the data entered by the User, I could then read the data in Web Dynpro for ABAP and process it further.
4. Well this is just an Idea and I am not sure if this can be implemented, please let me know if anything of this sort is possible, please excuse me if this sounds weird as my knowledge of JAVA is limited.

Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to save InfoPath form in XML file.
I have done a test in my SharePoint, Do the following steps:
Create an form library and publish an InfoPath form into it, Then when we create new document into the form library, it is by default that InfoPath form is saved in XML file.

I had seen that adobe forms can have an interface with XML input and output as parameter.
In the interface type only the /DOCPARAMS an the DOCXML are INPUT parameters which are available.
No other INPUT parameter can be added to it.
When i try to retrieve the data in real estate there are some default function modules for retrieving the data from real estate.
But this function modules also are going to find out if the form which asks for this information has a IMPORT parameter
for the required data. For example, the SENDER data is retrieved, but before the default function module retrieve this data
the function module checks if the form has a INPUT parameter SENDER.
And that is not the case. And i cannot create the SENDER parameter to it, because this INTERFACE type does not allow it.
Does anybody know a solution herefore?

It is a long time ago, almost 2 years.
I created my own custom development for calling the Adobe form. This custom development uses the correct function module interface with the IMPORT XML.
The XML which i sent as IMPORT PARAMETER to the form is also created by own custom development. Via the default XML class of SAP
So that was my solution

How to save XDP/Form with XML as a standalone PDF - Running out of time

Help...I'm in a time crunch. I have a perfectly working form that takes XML and merges into a wonderful PDF on my machine (1000+ pages). The problem is I need to distribute the finished PDF with the XML...not to two independent files.
I have tried every "Save As" and "Export" available and it only saves the PDF template without the data.
I have tried to "Print" to a PDF writer / pseudo-printer but it chokes and dies after a few hundred pages.
What am I missing? How can I take this form and XML and make a final product PDF that I can distribute?
In case it helps...the form was made in LiveCycle and the XML is generated from PHP.

Thanks for your ideas. I'm not using the reader...I'm using Acrobat Pro 9.x.
This isn't really a LiveCycle question because that has to do with the form design. This is post-design and during the data merge...something only an end-user would see or have access to.
The form works great...the data is great. They are merged on the screen and looks perfect. However, I can't get the combined output saved anywhere.

How to print an adobe form with xml interface in r3

I have a Web dynpro application that creates an ADOBE form using an XML schema interface.
I need to be able to print the same form in R/3 - is this possible? If so how do I create the interface?

You need to get a name of the corresponding FM using FM FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME.

How to save Adobe form to scripted, specified location

After the adobe form is filled, I would like to develop a "save" button that predetermines where the file is to be stored and what the name is (based on a field that is filled in + a date.
If there is anyone that can point me to the right direction, that would be great!!

Before that, execute ur script and the spool will be generated .rite?
Now, after execution of the above program, give the spool number of ur spool generated, and tick the option dwnload the pdf file and then give the location of the file where u want to save... Then execute it. the pdf file will be generated and then stored in ur particular location..

UI: Save system form as xml

Hi,
I tried to export a system form like the delivery note form to a XML document, but it doesn't work.
For the forms I created with the Screen Painter it works without problems. I can run an import or export and I always receive an XML document.
For the system forms I didn't get a XML file at all.
Are there any code examples or help files that could help me with this export?
I already searched the forum for this topic but I can't find one that answers my question.
Perhaps someone can help me solving this problem.

Use the GetAsXML method to get every form you want as XML. This example copies the Sales Order form as XML to the clipboard.

Web DynPro - Save Adobe Form on Application Server

Hello Seniors,
We are working on a WebDynPro ABAP Application where in we need to display an Adobe from in a browser and the upload it to the Application Server automatically. We are able to display the form in the browser but are stuck up on how to upload the Adobe Form to the application server. Could you please let me know if there is a way on how to upload the Adobe form to the application server automatically. Your help is highly appreciated..

Save adobe form fill, send & update SAP

Hi Experts,
I am new to interactive Adobe form, so need to clarify few things regarding the development of it:-
1. Suppose i have a interactive form with a dropdown for designation. I sent to the vendor through using SAP mails. Can he see the dropdown list there in the attached PDF file??
2. If, then after filling the form with those values he will send it through his email. Now, how to upload that form data(like address) in SAP?
3. Suppose he saved the form, filled it and send us after a month. In between the designation table got modified. The designation he seleted no longer exist. Then how will it work?? where will be the validations for this?
can anyone give me the live scenario??

1. Yes, He can the dropdown list , in the attached PDF File.
2. First you can import that PDF file into your form layout then
You can connect the form with OLEDB data connection after that, drag and drop the button in the layout, and you can rename that button "UPDATE"
Select that button then select CLICK event and script as JavaScript and write the following code in that
xfa.sourceSet.DataConnection.update();
the contents will update in the sap table

Save adobe form to specific location

Help need!!!!
I have managed to create a regular saveas button that works great at the minute it defaults to the users my documents folder
How can i make it save to a specific location?
e.g of location:
\\Bcnw-fs-02\Salford Workgroup\QA
also can you have a pre-determined save as name depending on what the user entered in a certain text box?

I have a time sheet form named Timesheet Paperless.pdf I send this form to an employee and tell them to fill their name and employee number in the form. I then ask them to go to File>Save As and name the form INTIALS_TS.pdf . I now would like to a have button with in the form that will open a Save As dialog with the filename INITIALS_TS CurrentDate.pdf under My Documents/Work Files/Time Sheets/. So every new pay period they would click the save button on the form to save the file under the time sheets folder with their intials and the current date the button was pushed. How can I do this in JavaScript?

Form are different when save an exist form as XML then load from XML

Hi everyone,
Who have experience that save an exist form as XML file then load from XML, some controls position, size and color different with the source form.
I want to use the system wizard form style and I saved system form MRP Wizard as XML file, when I load form from XML, the form shows picture with different position, size, the rectangle control lost color and position also different with source form, because I want to get the line color in the form, the separate line implement using rectangle, please share your opinion how to save the form as XML more Accurate.

Hi Kathy
After loading a form over XML, we made the experince that in matrices link buttons will not appear everwehere they should. It's a tricky part and we made a work around by changing the columns order and then...the Link Buttons came up ok.

Save Pdf form on my PC in pdf format

I created pdf form in SFP in our Sandbox. Now I want to upload this form into the Dev.
The form is residing in Sandbox SAP. So I have somehow to move this form out of SAP.
Then I would go to Dev and use SFP (Live Cycle Designer) option to Import the form.
My question is:
How to save Pdf form on my PC in pdf format?
PS: SFP utility Downloding Form allows to save the form in xml format only.
Unfortunately Live Cycle Designer doesn't offer export option.
My Live Cycle Designer is 8.1.

Hi Tatyana,
To Download it in PDF format, just execute the form in SFP or by your ABAP report/WD application or just go to preview in the designer in SFP. Now press F8, it will show you the Adobe toolbar, using save option in the toolbar you can save it on the desktop.
