  • Save canvas as image to the picture library using c#,xaml in windows 8.1

    Hi everyone,
    I am developing a small paint application in that I am using canvas as a drawing area. Now I need to save that drawing as an image to the picture library.
    How can I do this?
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance

    Use RenderTargetBitmap to render your Canvas into a bitmap. Use BitmapEncoder to encode the bitmap as a JPG or png, then save it our with a StorageFile.
    See the sample at

  • How to save a JPG in 256 colors?

    I'm using Photoshop CS2.
    1. How to save a JPG in 256 colors?
    2. Is there a way to see an image properties?
    -- I want to know if that image is in 256 color or not...

    Mary Jo, since you are a newcomer, you may not yet understand that in any given Adobe forum, there are a whole bunch of conversations going on at the same time. Each one of these is about a certain "topic", described in the title and opening post. The discussion sometimes stays right on point, and sometimes veers off a bit, and there are often quick side-issues branching off from the main topic, but still related. Within limits, people here try to keep the discussion on a single general topic. For example, in this topic, the initial issue is whether there is a way, in Photoshop, to limit the number of colors in a JPEG image to 256; there were discussions about whether this could be done or not, and alternative programs that may be able to accomplish this, and a comparison of the file sizes for 256 bit images in different file types.
    Your question, however, is not a logical outgrowth of the discussion. It's a perfectly good question, but it deserves its own new discussion topic. It's like a bunch of people have been sitting around a table discussing the merits of Canon vs. Nikon SLRs, and someone sits down at the table and, instead of joining the conversation, asks a completely unrelated question about point-and-shoot cameras, or camcorders.
    It's off-topic here, and you should start a new topic. Make the title descriptive, such as "Why does a 8 megapixel image result in a 3 megabyte file on my computer?" (assuming that's what you want to ask -- just "M" doesn't tell me whether you are talking about MP or MB). In the initial post, provide a more detailed description of what you want to know. Tell us what camera and Photoshop version you are using, and how you encountered the issue. People will see that a new topic raises an issue they know something about and you will get a response -- probably a good answer, if you keep in the conversation.
    [Edit: Trez hit "post" before I did. Trez-- I think she is using Photoshop, not Elements; she did say CS2.]

    As chris has pointed out GIF ony supports 1 level of transparenct Transparent or not make things like drop shadows feathed multiply blending not Posible. However you can somewhat doi it by creating your logo latge and scaling it down with Htme. Also layer mask and animation palette twend options help.

  • CSE3 - Making images in color for print

    I am only used to one color printing. I'm using CSE3 and I'm supplying something in 2 colors. When the printers output, they will use certain color inks, and they told me I could use any 2 colors in my file.
    1) How to I make the image a color? I have a .tif and I'm trying to colorize it, and ... nothing. The image is greyscale. I seem to only be able to colorize the border, not the image itself (which is just a black image).
    2) Can I make an inserted pdf file a color?
    The only thing I can seem to make a 2nd color is text.
    Thank you.
    Cyndy

    PDF files  are a "container format" -- they can contain a lot of different kinds of image data, and the challenge is extracting the data without damaging it. That is, extracting the data without lowering the quality.
    PDF files can contain TIFFs. They can contain JPEGs. They can contain CCITT fax images. They can contain straight-up 1bpp bitmaps. And of course they can contain text and lines and all sorts of vector art.
    If the PDF file is vector, ideally you use a vector tool to set its color. That would be Adobe Illustrator, most likely.
    If the PDF file contains a raster image, you will want to extract the raster image without lowering its quality, potentially manipulate it in Photoshop, and then place it in InDesign.
    In Acrobat Pro, Save As is not a good choice. That will save the entire PDF file, not just images, and it will rasterize any vector components. It will also change the resolution, which can potentially lose information, and often just give you a bigger file with the same effective resolution.
    Best choice in Acrobat Pro is to go to Tools > Advanced Editing > Touchup Object Tool, then right-click and Edit Image. That'll open it in Photoshop. Then you can proceed to save it.
    In order to tint an image in InDesign, you'll need to have a monochrome (photoshop: Image > Mode > Bitmap) or grayscale image saved in PSD, TIFF, BMP, or JPEG.
    In short: tell us what produced the PDF file and what kind of file it is.

  • How can i save an extracted image to be able to edit it

    How can I save an extracted image in pse9 to be able to edit it - i.e. move it around on the layer to another spot and also to be able to resize it to make it bigger or smaller before repasting it back into another image/background?
    Thanks

      A really simple method is to use the quick selection tool to outline a person or object in a photo. Holding down the alt key changes the tool action from plus to minus - so you can perfect your selection as you go along (e.g. if you accidentally select part of the background)
    When you are happy with your selection of the person or object press Ctrl+J - this will automatically create a new transparent layer with your selection as shown by the checkerboard background.
    You can then add any other picture or background - here I’ve used a simple green background to illustrate the point by selecting Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Color
    I then clicked on the transparent layer in the layer pallet and dragged it to the top - to reveal the green background behind my person selection.
    I then selected the hand tool and the bounding box appeared - by holding down the shift key you can drag the corner handles or sides of the bounding box to resize and then click the green checkmark to confirm OK. You can then drag the image to any position in the frame of your chosen background. Save as PSD to keep your layers for later or click Layer > Flatten Image to save as Jpeg.

  • Webcam capture & save as JPEG image

    Hi,
    I'm creating an application to capture image via webcam using directshow. I've managed to capture the stream using samplegrabber.
    the problem is when I save the grabbed image to a JPEG, the colors are incorrect.
    provided the link of the captured image from the webcam http://www.filefreak.com/pfiles/44160/test2.jpg
    the right hand side of the image should be brown colored, not blue as in the picture.
    I've also test to save as a bmp image, the color are ok.
    this is how i save the grabbed webcam frame into a jpeg file
    sampleGrabber->GetCurrentBuffer(&bufferSize, (long*)frameBuffer);
    //save into jpeg
    struct jpeg_compress_struct cinfo;
    struct jpeg_error_mgr jerr;

            fprintf(stderr, "can't open %s\n", "test2.jpg");
        return;
    image_buffer = (unsigned char*)frameBuffer;
    jpeg_stdio_dest(&cinfo, outfile);
    cinfo.image_width = videoWidth;

    cinfo.in_color_space = JCS_RGB;
    jpeg_set_defaults(&cinfo);
    jpeg_set_quality(&cinfo, 255, TRUE );
    jpeg_start_compress(&cinfo, TRUE);
    row_stride = videoWidth * 3;
    while (cinfo.next_scanline < cinfo.image_height) {
        row_pointer[0] = & image_buffer[cinfo.next_scanline * row_stride];

  • How do I change an image border color to another color - Dreamweaver CS5?

    Good day,
    I have just learned how to add a border to an image with Dreamweaver CS5 within the Properties Inspector.
    After typing the width in pixels in the Border Text Field and pressing the Enter key, Dreamweaver created a black border.
    How do I change the image border color to another color?

    I added your suggested rule to the Style Sheet "in any order" as you explained. See the image below.
    However this did not change the image border from black to light blue. In fact, nothing changed.
    Nothing changed because the CSS that has been written into DW is incorrectly written.
    You want the following (exactly as written below)
    img {border: 4px solid #0062C8;}
    You've inadvertently wrapped the rule inside a #main_image container rendering it meaningless.
    It's easiest to go into Code View and change
    #main_image {
         img {border: 4px solid #0062C8;
    to
    img { border: 4px solid #0062C8; }
    The Property Inspector added a border exactly as I wanted it, other than the color I wanted the border to be. What is the use of this function in Property Inspector if it can add a border within Property Inspector but not let me change the COLOR of the black border that Property Inspector added, to another color?
    That's a deceptively simple, yet valid, question with a long answer.
    Back in the dark old days of web design web designers were restricted to inline HTML formatting which offered  border properties but no colors.
    CSS styling offers colors and more but has to be written differently.
    These days. it's best to avoid HTML formatting. Unfortunately border="4px" in the PI still allows it. But does not permit color.
    Does anyone else out there ever add color borders to their IMAGES (not the containing box for the image) ?
    Yes, using CSS.

  • How do i save STACKS of images (e.g. TIFF) as a SINGLE file in IMAQ?

    I would like to save stacks of images (movies and time series) as single files (TIFF in particular) but i can only find support in IMAQ for saving single images to single files. Does anyone know how to save STACKS? (As far as i know that is a common feature in most frame grabbers).
    I am using a PCI-1408 card for analog acquisition and NI-IMAQ driver in Windows 2000.

    Bernhard,
    There are no utilities in IMAQ to save image sequences in a single file.
    One possible solution, if you aren't trying to compress the images, is to extract the 2D array of pixel intensities and save them as a standard array. You would be able to store as many arrays as you want in a single file.
    If you want to compress the images, there are utilities for creating AVI files. I have used a wavelet compression utility that I wrote LV drivers for, also. If you are willing to spend a little money, that might be a good solution. You can contact me at bruce@ammonsengineering if you want to discuss it further.
