Save changes and return to file?

If I want to edit most shots in a folder, how do I save the new changes in a photo, then return direectly to the file and continue with the next picture?  Now, I do changes, hit "done" and then can't figure out how to get back.  Thanks.

Put them all into the Photo Bin in the Editor.

  • When I try to save changes to an existing file, Acrobat X Standard stops working and closes. How to

After making changes to an existing pdf, when I select Save from the File menu Acrobat X Standard crashes and closes down. The same scenario happens if I choose Save As and select the same fie name. How do I save changes to an existing document? I can sometimes Save As using a new file name but that does not always work either.

Please try repairing Acrobat by going to the 'Help' menu > Repair Acrobat.
Also make sure that Acrobat is updated to the latest release. You can check for updates from the same 'Help' menu > check for updates.

I did not take the time to try to decipher what your program is doing, but I think you could replace all those feedback nodes and Build Arrays with an integer data type and the Rotate function from the Numeric >> Data Manipulation palette.  You will still need one shift regsiter or rfeedback node for each of the four signals.
You have duplicated code: Divide by 65535, multiply by 2, and subtact 1 followed by a > comparison.  Make that a subVI and place 4 instances on your block diagram.
Those simple changes will make you diagram understandable, reduce its size to the size of a postcard, and make any future changes easier.

  • IWeb does not save changes and will not allow republishing

I have created a new site on my iWeb which is now accessed by a separate web address. I first published a new site within this domain which worked fine. Now when I make changes and save, the blue progress bar indicates a save, but when I go to publish the green publish arrow is greyed and I cannot publish. What's worse is when I go back to the altered page, the changes are gone.
I can republish other parts of the site (which are red and I haven't yet updated) and they update fine. But once done, there's way to republish.
    Any suggestions.

Have you tried using the File->Publish Site Changes or File->Publish Entire Site menu options? Also try deleting the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist and rebooting.

  • Version/Referenced File name changes and managing reference files.

I had an issue with wrong version names for reasons of my own DAM workflow. I changed the name in the metadata portion of Aperture and changed the name in the drive the has the referenced files for the versions (and there are no duplicated versions, etc). When I go to manage the referenced files, I get the old version names popping up in the manage reference files window/dialog. the names I want show up elsewhere in Aperture and on the reference external drive, but not in the manage reference files dialog. Is there a way to ensure that all of Aperture knows my new version names and new referenced file names?

Oh, and I did restart the application, but not the machine.

  • Save error and subsequently missing file - CS3

Trying to save a psd file, an error message states "could not save, "filename" is not a valid file name".  This is a file we already had created and successfully saved to, several times prior.  There are no forbidden characters in the file and the complete file name, including path, is under the maximum allowed characters.  We did a save-as on the file and named it to "filename"2, then it saved, but the original file was no longer in the folder. That concerns me quite a bit.  Anyone have any insight as to what might cause that?
    Thanks!!!
    Our system:
Vista 64, 4gigs of ram, 2 1TB hard drives with lots of free space and defragged weekly.
PS CS3, ram levels set to about 75%, 25 history states and cache levels set to 5.

but the original file was no longer in the folder. That concerns me quite a bit.
Are those drives external drives? If so, the specific sequence how data is saved on such drives might explain it. Other than that the usual - permission issues, virus scanners, indexing tools... Hard to tell.

  • How to save changes of HTML wrapper file?

    Hello All,
I am working on .swf file. I am making some changes in HTML wrapper file, but the changes are saved in the file.
Is there any other way to do it?
    Thanks.

    Swati,
Flex does tend to auto-update the wrapper file it generates, which is frustrating if you change it and then your changes are lost. I usually make a second copy of this file in the same src folder, and then change that one. Flex will then leave it as-is (since it never controlled it) but it will be deployed to your bin-debug folder (or wherever your output goes).

  • Acrobat 11 will never let me save changes to an existing file, only Save As

Every PDF file i try to mark up (highlights, comments, etc), I am unable to simply SAVE the changes.  Acrobat says "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open.  Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder".  I have to use the Save-As function to save my work.  I need to be able to modify and existing file without creating a new instance of the same file.  This message appears regardless of the files location, the file, and no one else is using the document.
I have tried altering my set up in my preference, under document, to Never view documents in PDF/A  mode.  That did not help.  I uninstalled and then re-installed Acrobat.  I have tried the Repair Acrobat Installation function, I have checked for Errors, I have checked for updates, but nothing has helped.
The strange part is that just my user on the computer has this problem.  I set up a second user for guests and that log-in has no issues saving a PDF file after it has been modified.
I am Currently Using Adobe 11 on Windows 7 platform.  The computer is 1 month old.  But this problem has been present since the beginning.  I am set up as an administrator on the computer, so permissions are not an issue.
What do i have to do to fix this?

    Hi Jordan ,
It could be possible that somebody else is accessing the file as well as mentioned in the error message.
The second reason could be ,the creator of the file is someone else and the permissions have been set as read-only.
If possible please share the file with us so that we can have a look.

  • Cannot change and display the file in document CV02N

    Hi All,
When i create a document in CV01N transaction ,upload a word file ,
save and change the status, for some reason the uploaded word document file goes in unchecked (unlocked ) mode.
and this doesn't happen daily, its one of those situations when user does something funny.
Later when the Approver wants to approve the document in CV02N he cannot open the file because (of error "cannot be accessed") its not uploaded properly in content server and cannot change status to Reject because of error "Status can only be set when all originals are stored".
Please can anyone help me to find out what might be the problem for these kind of scenarios and how do i deal a document in a status where the the uploaded file is in unlocked status.
NOTE: Around 2500 users using the present process and i get only 2 to 5 scenarios like the above once in a while . so looking for a permanent fix for this problem.
    Thanks in Advance

  • Unable to save changes to a Photoshop file opened by Links panel

I believe I have found a bug in CS4, (gasp!), and am wondering if anyone else has experienced it.
I'm using the Live Preflight to find all images with the wrong resolution or color mode.
I use the page number hyperlink in the Preflight panel to go to and select the PSD file. I then switch to the Links panel and click the Edit icon.
At that point I change the color mode or resolution in Photoshop.
But here's where the problem happens. Not all the time, but sometimes I get an error message that the file is already open or in use.
I then have to do a Save As in order to save the changes.
    Anyone else experience this?
It doesn't happen all the time, but just enough to frustrate me.

If you are not afraid of the Unix command line of your Mac, fire up /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app and enter the magic spell
    lsof | grep preview.psd
lsof yields a list of all open files, together with the application and other technical information. It may take a few seconds.
The | grep searches the output for the given file name.
You'll then at least know who sits on your file ...
As far as I know Windows users have to install separate tools to get the equivalent information.

  • Distributing fillable form to a Group so they can save changes and "save as" ?

How do I distribute my finalized document to a group who can fill in the information and save or save as the document to their files?

  • Now that I'm a paid up supporter Maybe you will fix Firefox and return "Close File" to File on the menu toolbar.

I just degraded from Firefox 3.6 to 9.0.1 and found that one of the most useful tools is missing. On the Menu toolbar under File, "Close File" has been eliminated. Why? Why do I have to close the site I was looking at and go back to my Firefox home page and start all over? Why was "Close File" eliminated? It was one of the most useful tools in Firefox. I'm hoping I haven't gotten rid of the CD that has 3.6 install on it so I can upgrade to a great version of Firefox.

Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you use the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F to open the File menu or other menus like the Edit menu (Alt+E) and Bookmarks menu (Alt+B) and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by tapping Alt or by pressing F10.

  • How do I stop Photoshop CS6 from asking to save changes to a file when closing the file, after "savi

I save a lot of files to "save for web". After saving PS asks if I want to save changes to the original file. I never want to save the changes to the original. Since the default is to change the file I am afraid I will accidentally OK the change without wanting to. I would like it to stop asking and just not save it. Is there a way?

    Stephen Douge wrote:
I never want to mess with originals. I am asking because I want to make sure I stated the question properly in the first place. Thanks.
Then don't work on the original open the file using Photoshop menu file>open once its in Photoshop as a document dupe the document and close the original document. Photoshop will just close the original and not ask it you want to save the original document for no changes were made to it.  You could easily record an action to automate this process. The first step in the action would be an inserted menu item menu File>Open.  The second step Duplicate Document, third step select previous document the fourth and final step close. The action would look like this recorded Work in the dupe and save it under the name you want to where you want it saved. The First step is an interactive you will be able to open any file Photoshop has support for that you have access to.
