Save downloads into user drive without prompting.

Question

Hi 
I am doing  selenium webdriver test in java for a web application. It involves downloadable links for which I have to automate, such that the downloadable content just saves to default download directory without any "File Download" - Dialog
box , "Save As", etc.
I will be testing them from Windows 7/Vista Operating system.
Is there any REGEDIT command to do the above? 
I have checked forums and blogs for days, and couldnt able find any answer. Please help.
